Evan is great, he actually was one the two people who recruited me to couch surfers. He is very easy to travel with, and I had a blast in Benin and when he came up to visit us Peace Corps Volunteers in Niger.

Well, I had the chance to learn more from Evan and his friend during their stay with me in Tamale. It was really very fantastic. I wish to have them around someday again. They were simple and cool hearted. I saw their way of life very different which I enjoyed learning. I also had time to share with them a little of my culture and others. They are good to have anybody around them. They can be trusted.

Murphy is a kind loving guy who is ready to meet your need if he can,he was able to make the Accra CS to come together and we hard a meeting.thinking the meeting wont be possible but he was able to come all the way from Kumasi to Accra around 11:50 and we had the meeting at 12pm. he's a determination guy, his fiend Josh was also the same, we joke and watch movie together. i recommend him to all.

Evan was a joy to travel with - he has some crazy stories about his traveling experiences! He is very trustworthy and knowledgable. I would travel with/host him again anytime.

Evan and Josh stayed in my guest room while they paused a couple days to see a bit of Lomé before continuing to Kpalimé and on to Ghana. They're fascinating to talk with, got lots of great travel tales to swap and we'd stay up to all hours in conversation soooo interesting I would forget I had to get up early for work...

 

Evan and Josh spent a couple of days crashing with us on their trek accross West Africa. They were chill, friendly, and flexible. Really enjoyed hosting them!

Intelligent, interesting and open minded person. I will like to meet again to discuss.

Evan was a great person to host,(and i'm not just saying that cause he's the only couchsurfer to actually make it out to my place!)he's easygoing and great fun to hang out with and share a beer on a hot Batouri evening. He also makes a great chili! Hopefully we'll be meeting up again in half a year or so somewhere in the world for some more couchsurfing!

He was a very exciting guy,and i had a very very adventourous time trekking together through berber villages in the high atlas mountains.He is an easy going and had a interest about my culture; i taught him some berber and card game.overall i feel very comfortable with him. I met Evan while volunteering and he pretty much became my best friend over night. He's a great guy! I have nothing bad to say about him.

evan is a star. he drove us to gas works park in seattle and we had a lovely day chatting about our travels. in particular india and pakistan. then he drove me all the way back to where i was staying. a truely great ambassador of CS.

 

Evan is a really dedicated cser, he deserves his Ambassador! without him, I would drive my ass off to get around Seattle! He took me and some other csers to a beautiful park, I enjoy hanging out with him. Good luck with your Africa trip, man!

Evan was super nice and welcoming. His pub trivia events were two of the best CS events I made it out to. I'm happy to be part of the team that finally got first place at Kiwis & Kangaroos, even if Evan had to leave before the final scores were tallied!

I wish I could have talked more with him, and I especially wish I could make it to the Golden Gardens BBQ. Maybe we'll meet again before he goes off traveling again, but if not--good luck!

 

Evan has a wonderful disposition -- we have met up on several occasions in Seattle and each time he has been very easy to talk with. Evan is very interested in travelling as much as possible, so I hope you get an opportunity to host and get to know this great guy.

Evan became an Ambassador shortly before returning to Seattle from traveling as another was leaving. He dove in and started planning events right off the bat. From beerfests to square dancing Evan has made some good times in Seattle happen.

evan is fantastic!! he organizes events, he's friendly, he took care of me, he's interesting, kind, sweet, funny, the perfect cser!!! highly recommended, he's a beautiful person and Iìll surely miss him a lot!!!

 

Evan is an absolutely rocking human being is my impression so far. I've spoken with him at every one of the...five? CS events I've been to so far, many of which he's organized and ruthlessly promoted. (I'm still sorry I missed the canoe adventure, Evan!) He's a first rate ambassador and makes everyone feel as if they've always been a friend, just didn't know it yet.

Evan replied right away to my couch surfing request and was very accomodating throughout. I was attending a concert in Seattle and he hooked me up with other couch surfers that were also going. He went out of his way to make sure everything worked out and I was comfortable and was very sincere. He drove me to where I needed to be and offered to host me again if I needed. I was fortunate enough as well to meet some of his friends who were all wonderful. Thanks for an unforgettable first couch surfing experience!

 

Evan is a lot of fun and a great asset to have in the Seattle CS community. That, and we think of the same answers at trivia, regardless of correctness.

I was only in Seattle for a week, and with only one days notice, he had me out an about meeting people and showing me the town. The entire experience is one I will never forget, and I have Evan to thank for a great deal of that. I look forward to seeing him again someday.

 

I appreciate Evan's conscientous attitude toward couch-surfing. He makes a point of welcoming new people into the community and helping everyone feel comfortable. I hope our paths cross again soon--happy travels!

i don't know evan as well as i would like to yet...but what i know is that he's genuine, fun-lovin', adventurous, and awesome at remembering country capitals. hope to have several more rocking trivia nights before the end of the summer...let's win a pitcher, eh??

We met in India, got suck in Nepal together, camped around the Isle of Man with me and I've hung out with him in his home city of Seattle. He's a nice trust worthy guy but a bit too tall.

 

I've met Evan at Seattle gatherings and have had a good time getting to know him! He's had a lot of great travel experiences, making for some good chats. Evan is for sure a very genuine and fun person to be around.

I met Evan in the Seattle international Beerfest and had some good beers and laughs together.

Evan is a great guy to hang out with and talk to. He knows how to laugh, which is great!

Plus he's been to India, that has to make someone amazing, right?

What can I say that hasn't already mentioned (like how he's a great guy and how you should surf with/host him if you get the chance, and what not...)?

Here are two new things that I can add:
1)If you were ever stuck on an island and could only get off the island if you could answer a question regarding world capitals, this is the person you would want to bring to the island (assuming you want to get off the island.)
2)He has great/strong ethics when it comes to pub trivia which I appreciate -the question master wants to know if you know the answer, not if you have an iphone and can search wikipedia.

Thanks Evan for being a strong leader in the CS community up there in Seattle. I had a great time at all of the events.

I failed to read Ricky's reference before leaving this one, so Evan's prowess as a trivia team member when it comes to world capitals was apparently nothing new but is worthy of repeating.

MULTIPLE MEETINGS!! Evan and I met up several times during my stay in Seattle (Trivia Night, Gasworks Park, Red Door, Fremont Solstice Festival, Roast Pig Potluck, etc). Evan is a great conversationalist, you can talk to him about nearly everything under the sun. Very mature for his age! Great CS Ambassador (Evan symbolises the spirit of Couch Surfing so well with his passion for traveling and helping out people). Evan even brought his entire family to a CS meeting. Evan knows more capital cities than anyone I have met in my life (perfect for those late night trivia challenges). Would love to travel with Evan one day!!

Evan is a very active member in the CS community in Seattle. We shared quiz, beers and a roasted pig!. I met also his father and sister, some of his friends and spent good time with them. He talked about his plans for travelling and I wish he'll find the best hosts and company for his next trip!!.
We're also waiting for you in Paris!!

I have met and hanged out with Evan in many Seattle CS gatherings and I have to say he never fails to impress me with his warm and engaging personality. He is also always in the forefront of many activities and major contributor and organizer of the CS scene.

He is fun and he helped me and my friend to get around in Seattle. The Couchsurfing meeting at the lake there was cool too. We met more people though him. He comes around a lot

It was fun to hang out with him, eventhough every meeting was adventurous. The drunk guy was not your fault!

He rocks at organizing new and interesting CS group activities: square dancing (FUN!) and hiking/beachcombing, etc. Everyone is a target for his teasing remarks, allowing him to meet people and make friends with rapidfire speed. Evan is an American dude with a piece of old drunk French guy soul inside him! That's why I like him! We really had great time within 3 days, and I wish we had more time together.

Evan firstly is a very tall guy with blue eyes and a lot of hair around his mouth (guess you all know what i wanna describe, hehe, if not look at his pic ^^). He's a good and really very funny guy who an make you "laugh to death" (in Vietnamese, we say ""Cuoi den chet", hehe). If you want to find a real friend to talk to and hang out with, it's him. He knows how to have good fun.

I met Evan and his mom and dad at a local CS event. Very nice fellow, articulate and interesting.

I have rarely found it so easy to travel with anyone as I did with Evan. He was fun to be around, accommodating to what I wanted to see and do, and very open to asking and answering my many questions. My trip to Saigon would not have been as powerful as it was for me had it not been for my time with Evan. Above all this, the best way I could describe Evan is a man of integrity and passion.

Really cool guy. We met up for lunch in China Town in SF. He is a very interesting person. He has been all over the world - even Denmark.. I think we have a lot of things in common - especially the passion for travelling. If he's in your town, meet up with him. I'm sure you'll have a very positive experience.

Evan is a totally awesome person, extremely easy going and great guest/travel companion/friend/motorbike driver - fellow wine drinker, cheese, dessert and food connoiseur.
I highly recommend him to any future hosts or travel buđdies in the futụrẹ as he as the amazing knack of calming people down in the light of any potential disasters that may arise. This is despite the usual tummy bugs, long bus rides that never end, and points of crisis that occur whenever one travels.
We have had some great trips around Vietnam, Burma and Thailand so far, and I'm very much looking forward to exploring Seattle this summer with him as my guide. Unfortunately I did not spend much time with Evan on his last trip to Vietnam, but I'm sure that he'll be an awesome host when it's my turn to visit his city! Definitely contact Evan if you have any questions about anything to do with travel because I believe he is one of the most selfless and caring people I've ever met, and I'm sure you will feel the same way too.

Evan is one rad person. We first met in Vietnam when we both were riding through the country on our motos. After Vietnam, we travelled together in northern Laos. A month later, after we traveled different countries, we met up once again in Borneo where we hitchhiked our way around. We both have the same travel interests I would consider him a very good friend. From chocopies, hours of shithead, singing to strangers and much more, a lot of memories from SE Asia are with this guy.
We better get the chance to met up and travel again!

I met Evan first through Natasha, then caught up with him again one night in Bangkok...and almost saw him again in KL....never got the chance to talk in too much depth but he's pretty chill guy that gives out free hugs...

I met Evan briefly in Hanoi but had a bit more time in Singapore, though it's not enough still! Friendly and out-going, Evan's a pleasure to have around. All the best in your travels, although I'm insanely jealous!

Evan and I figured out we had a lot of background in common, specifially some of the same High School teachers. Very strange to meet someone half way around the world that grew up in the same small town as you. Anyway, we hit it off pretty well and I'm sure we'll hang out back stateside.

I have the pleasure of hosting Evan for a short night in JB before he fly off to sarawak. We managed to go for a short beer session in town :) and Evan is a really cool dude to hang out with.... :)

great guy, we met at the meeting in kuala lumpur, we talk a lot about our trips, and his intentiosn to go to south america. we smoke some shisha together, i dont know to spell it. very friendly and a great way to see life.

Surfed with Evan at Mo and Nash's in KL for a few days. Awesome guy with tons of great advice on traveling SE Asia and beyond. Was a big part of our spontaneous "free hugs" event, even getting the prized "car hug". Definitely a guy to host if you can.

He had some trouble finding me at Gazebo - alright, it was dark and I didn't look like a group of people. Rather like a girl lost in her thoughts in a dark pub. Anyway, I am glad he spoted me in the end because we had an interesting chat about our respective trips in south-east Asia. He's definitely welcome at my place, whenever I have one :)

I met evan at a BKK meet, and he seems like a great guy with a real lust for travelling - at 22 it seems like he's already been everywhere there is to go. Nice, fun, easygoing.

We travelled together trough vietna and laos, last fall I visited you in Morocco. You a truth friend!

We had contacted before he headed to my country. A great driver ;), he drove and traveled a lot in Vietnam, even to Kon Tum - amazingly!!! My son is extremely giving and accepting of all people and is always there to help out his mother when she has computer troubles since she is a little off when it comes to computers and new websites.

 

I met Evan en route to Mt. Everest and we spent over a week together...it was during this time he introduced me to the wonder of CouchSurfing. He's a fascinating, intelligent, fun, not overly American, passionate bloke who may well keep travelling forever. He would undoubtedly be a fantastic guest, host, travel partner or drunken mistake...I plan to complete the quadruple some time in the not-too-distant future.

If there was something more "extremely positive", I would vote for him immediately. Indeed I love the short but really nice time talking, making fun, drinking with this humorous guy and his other CS friends.

He'll help me to do a "mission", just healing friendship between a Vietnamese and a Thai ;)

Evan and I lived in Siena, Italy, 3 years ago, at the same time. Since then he is one of the few people I have kept in touch with. Just recently we traveled for a week together. He is extremely trustworthy and will go out of his way to help someone

Evan is a great guy to travel with and a real vagabond. Easy to get along with, and always up for an adventure.

 

Evan saved me, he ate the frog eye! I mean really he ordered frog legs and they literally brought us out a whole frog that had been deep fried and chopped up, it was hilarious. I found the eye and was kind of grossed out and Evan plucked it out of my hands and gobbled it up! It was nice to meet Evan he is a well traveled man and extremly easy to talk to.

We had dinner together with CS friends at restaurant..Evan has CS spirit but we had briefly conversation but I would like to get to know him more : )

i met evan at a CS dinner in bangkok...a bunch of us had a good time later on the crazy streets of bangkok..details cannot be revealed as what happens in bangkok stays in bangkok :)

he's a great guy and went out of his way to make sure i got home safely even though he did not have to...

you can expect good conversations and lots of laughing when hanging out with evan!

Evan is very easy going and comfortable wherever he's at. He is very funny (specially when he's making fun of Hala) and extremely polite (perhaps too polite?) no no no.. he's amazing, really! host him.

I shal name you Alberto! I stayed with him for a bit in Seattle. He showed me around his city, made me a peanut and jelly sandwich, happily watched me kick his ass in cards, and was a perfect host. It was a great time to stay with him and his roomates. I would love to return to Seattle to stay with him, and he is more then welcome in my home- and if he doesnt comply there will be an angry fist shaken his way. A time spent with him would be noting but great... Since then we have travled all over india together, hes such a word of fun and a great guy anyone would be blessed to have him as a friend.
