Flavio…. I finally met you after spending 3 years working together for CS! Flavio spent 2 whole days and nights taking me around Rome and to CS parties. He was my tour guide and party planner! IT is so wonderful to be able to spend time with this man who dedicates so much of his time to helping CS become what it is today. I love you Flavio.

Flavio is the real CSer; he is open minded, gentle and very welcoming. We met in a CS meeting, and from the first moment he started giving me advices and directions. Later he was generous enough to show me and my friends around and explain many things about Rome. I am looking forward to hosting him or meeting him again in Rome!

For long time, Flavio and I chatted online almost every day for CS related stuff ...but also many other things. Finally we met in Groningen and I was happy to host him and spend some time with him. It was great to travel together and to talk about many different topics.

I met the man at a great aperitif in Rome. He directly appeared to be a really nice and sweet guy, with a massive CS spirit! Thanks for that night mate, hope to be able one day to do that again!

Flavio, as a true CS ambassador, invited me to the weekly aperitif during my short stay in Rome during vacation. I had the opportunity to meet him along with many of the other Rome CSers and had a great time getting to know them over some food and drinks. He was a great host and kept the good times rolling, especially with the round of shots, nice.

Flavio sure is a perfect representer for CS. During my short stay in Rome we managed to meet only once, but even though Flavio tried to help wherever he could and also maintained very good contact.

I met Flapic during a CS meeting in Grosseto. The gathering has been a great day spent with nice people and in a beautiful place.
Flapic is a smart and kind person and I spend a lot of time listening to him talking about CS and about his CS experiences…many many useful things learned and for sure more still to learn.

What can I say about Flavio that the multitude of other couch surfers and people in general who's lives he has graced have not already said. He was my introduction and the prologue to the masses of friends I found along my journeys. I will always hold him in the highest regard for his help and friendship while I was visiting Italy. He embodies the spirit of couch surfing and inspired me to share that here in my community. If you are going to his area make it a point to meet him.

well, what can I say? this guy is the gulty one.. yeah.. because of him I had one of the best weekends of my life :p ! I've met amazing people from all over the world because someone (Flavio) has the beautifull and clever idea of organize something so special and so nice - the HC Rome summercamp :) plus, there's more, he's nice, funny, really responsable and professional when he has to do something! My experience with Flavio--

Flavio saw that I was without a couch in Rome and invited me to share his tent on the beach as well as enjoy a party. The beach was beautiful, the party was great, but I was tired so I crashed early.

Unfortunately, during the night one of my bags was stolen from the shed and some important valuables were lost. Flavio was persistent that we search the area, and it resulted in my bag and some of my valuables being recovered (think Passports, rail pass).

Without Flavios determination, I likely would not have made the effort, and he made sure the rest of my stay with him was comfortable and shared his couchsurfing experiences.

Hope our paths cross again, and thanks for everything!

Flapic is the most experienced CSer I've ever met. He is one of the first people I messaged when I joined CS and we kept in contact via messages for over six months before I came to meet him in Rome. Flapic is obviously a column of the Italian CS. We first met at the Rome Summer Camp 2005. Flavio has been the "builder" of this wonderful camp we had in Sabaudia, taking care of all the organizing stuff and doing an hard work to ensure all was OK! Thank you! Thanks also for the lift to Ciampino!
We had also nice time discovering a common passion for mobile phones, travels, the hospitality networks...In a few years we met several times in different parts of Italy (Milano, Rome, Padova), and I hosted him once. Flapic is a nice buddy, easy to talk with and unvaluable source of inspiration and tips about CS!

I know Flavio since almost 3 years. First time for a summercamp where he was the organizer... then we met several times in Rome and for other meetings! About him? Very participative member of CS/HC in Rome. If you need information, he always is open to help you.

Flapic is a nice guy that really got the CS spirit of bringing people together. Unfortunalty I didn't meet him at my Milano picknick and also not my Rome picknick but in organising this he showed a fantastic involvement that helped me a lot in getting it organised.
After all of this and some time I was able to meet him again when organising my housewarming party where he finally also appeared to be a fantastic guest.

I'm very impressed by his spirit to CS/HC. It seems that he devotes his life for organising events, link people from all around the world together. Flavio really saved my butt when the train which I thought would bring me all the way to Lago di vico only went as far as Capranica, he organised a car to come and pick me up, and the night he organized was quite the night, music, camp fire, food, all you could ask for, I'm looking forward to meeting him again, chances are, in Canada, and Flavio by the way is a great photographer, he showed me some very "artistic" pictures at the camp!

Flavio was generous enough to show me a little bit outside of Rome. We travelled to Viterbo and went to a natural hot spring. It was a lot of fun to get to know Flavio and share a few laughs.

Obviously Flavio, doesn't need any other reference from me, but I would like to say something. He was very friendly and helpful during my stay in Rome. He took me with his car from where I was staying, introduced me to his friends and to a small part of Roman Nightlife. Hope we meet again soon in Athens!

Wow! At last I got to meet the world-famous Flavio! We're connected dozens of times over and have written emails over the last year, so it was a long-awaited pleasure to finally meet in person. I genuinely admire Flavio. He is one of CS’s most active members, a global ambassador, well-connected in the community, and devoted to both the principled management of CS and the spirit of community and cultural exchange that is embodied in the CS philosophy. He brought together a small group for a lovely evening and what was for me at least an 'orgasmic' eating experience! Surfed my way into Rome and was lucky enough to be there when Flavio was organising a CS catchup. As an integral member of the Italian and Roman CS networks it was a total honour to be shown the sights of Rome by night & meet other members of the CS network over a few Pizza's. He's just a fantastic guy!!!

 

I had the honor to meet one of the most active members of Rome and it was definitely a memorable weekend as Flavio had graciously organized a gathering by a beach in Rome. He introduced me to one of the best restaurants with the best pizzas of Naples. He also took me and another CS friend around town at night to show us the beauties of the eternal city. Flavio spent a few days with me on his latest (of many) trip to Norway, which was his crazy Lofoten New Year's Expedition. I didn't get the chance to celebrate New Year in Lofoten but he and Lorenzo visited med on the way back to Italy.
Flavo is a very outgoing and positive person, very friendly and open with a big heart and many storys to tell. He makes great Italian food and has a very good outlook on life. I look forward to welcoming him again in Norway and spending time in Rome when I come to repay the visit.

Flavio is an angel! He picked me and my brother up at two different airports, drove us here and there, took us to dinner and introduced us to other couchsurfers. He knows loads of stuff about Rome and he probably loves my country more than I do! I'll see you again when I get back to Rome!

I had seen Falpic's posts in various groups, and was surprised to see that he and a group of people were coming up to Lyon (from Rome!) for the weekend that I arrived in Lyon.

We hung out for a few days during the well organized events. Really enjoyed getting to know Flavio, and hearing about some of the CouchSurfing events that he has organized and attended. Being new to CS, and involved, it's great to meet people that have been involved for awhile.

Looking forward to when we next meet.. but I'm sure it won't be too far down the road!

Grazie flavio to came here by car with other CS members for the meeting in Lyon. I hope that I ll have the occasion to go to one of the meeting which you ll organize. It was for me a pleasure to have u at home and to share with u my small experience in any case it was a quite pleasant week end which I ll not forget. See u in Roma :-)

 

I knew Flavio since autumn 2005 through messages exchanging. Finally I got the occasion to know him personally when he organized the Sabaudia August 2006 CS meeting. He hosted me in his tent and took me to the railway station when the camp finished. We talked a lot and shared our CS experiences. Flavio is a person very keen on CS and works a lot to make CS working in the best way. After a few months I hosted him and his travel mates in my house in Torino.

Flavio is a great organizator of meetings and other events in Rome and province. We travelled to Lyon together. He drove from Lyon to Rome since 12 am until 00:30 pm. I can trust he and I hope to see you soon in a meeting or something similar.

Flavio is a great guy to get to know, very warm and funny. We spent a great weekend together at the Lyon meet with lots of other CS'ers and surfed at the same place. Hes really active in traveling and organizing meets which I really respect.

Flapic is a sociable, kind and fun person. We quickly became good friends. He is also a very active member, very good at organizing couch surfing events that are both interesting and fun.

Very good guy!!! If you want to have a fantastic and enjoy dinner, you need contact him!!!

He picked me up with his car and we went to the beach 30km away from Rome.Nice pizza nice whisky nice conversation.He was very willing to show me around.Smart and kind.See you around in the future!

Flavio makes the best Tiramisu ever. He's super smart and speaks better English than some Americans I know. I was extremely impressed by him in the few days I had the pleasure of being in his company at Antonello's wonderful place in Sora, Italy. Met up with Flavio in Rome. Took me out in a wonderful traditional Trattoria and introduced me to an adorable bunch of friends. A typical night in a typical place with generrrossssssssssimi people ! Vero !

 

Flavio organized the CS-Haloween-Party on the Lac of Vico! I meet him some days before and we went out together in Rom... he know a lot of "insider" place in Rom and if you want to know the city not like a tourist, then go with Flavio and let you take for exemple to drink a "sveltino" (not sveltina :-)). I hope to host Flavio very soon here in Stuttgart... at letest for the beer-party!!!

 

He's absolutely a great organizer to make meeting party. Sociable and cool person!

I met him just twice, in Cs meetings around Rome...but I can say he's a "veteran" of hospitality and travelling, and a great organizer!

 

He organized a Halloween party for 35 people at a lake in the north of Rome and was a perfect tour guide during our trip to this awesome city.

 

Flavio organized a CS Meeting and Halloween Party at the magnificent Lago di Vico (in the north of Rome). I met him few days ago in Rome where he showed me the real nightlife there. Since he was born there Flavio really knows every corner of this never-sleeping city. It seamed that every Roman knows him and therefore we got discounts at almost every place. Thanks a lot!

it is some time ago, but i remember having a fun evening with flavio and some russian friends in berlin and we got awfully wasted, wasnt it like that? furthermore he is a very fun guy, easy going and definitely to be visited when in rome.

 

He helped Antonello to organize the Camp and was his "right arm" on the field.
Nice and sociable guy, is easy also to go into deep conversations, even in front of a bbq in the middle of the night.

Flavio is super - he kindly toured me around Trastevere and brought me to some cool out-of-the-way places, showed me where I can try the best pizza in Roma, etc.! I'm glad we met and look forward to hanging out again soon...

 

Flavio is the man / unofficial mayor of roma / couchsurfing. He seems to know just about everyone and everything in the city! Thanks for everything and see you again sometime...

He went out of his way to show us around Rome, take us to the best ice cream parlour in Rome and drive us to our next destination the folowing day.

A Gentleman. A generous man and a good, professional CS.
I hosted him once in Milan. Unfortunately I was very busy that days and I hadn't got all the time that i would like to have to spend together. But he will know how to do to met each other again.

In addition He's ready to give directions and contacts and ay kind of help about the places that he have visit.

Recruited me to Couch surfing. Great, enthusiastic guy.

Knows a lot about Rome and surroundings.

 

Very positive and social guy, open to different lifestyles and interest in a wide range of stuff. He seems to know everybody in this club.

Met in Rome and then he gave me a lift to Napoli and hosted me there. He is a very nice active member and interesting to talk to. He was always arranging a host for us in the Rome easter camp 2005. Very very helpful.

Flavio seems to be one of the centres of CS. Talking to him was a great first introduction to CS for me. We had a nice dinner and some drinks afterwards.

Nice guy, with a lot of humor. I will defently live at his place if I ever go to Italy!

Went to a camping ground with Flavio somewhere out on the coast south of Rome. Interesting opportunity to go somewhere off the usual foreign tourist's path

This guy was awesome. He showed me all the sites in his car, which was much better than walking, and took me to a great village outside Rome where I had some of the best food ever. We also went to the beach and watched a football game at a friend of his house. This guy is very kind and easy to talk to.

we met in Florence and went to a HC meeting in Padova in his car , he is a really nice easy going guest !!!

Flavio is an outgoing and friendly guy. It seems that he knows the whole world. He has unlimited amount of energy and enthusiasm. And after one minute of knowing him I felt that we have been friends for years.

He is doing a lot for HC!! Nice and trustworthy.

 

Flavio visited me in Narvik, Norway in august 2005. It was a pleasure for me to host Flavio in august 2005. Spent a nice time with him and are happy he like Norway so much that he wanna come and spend the next new year eve 2006/2007 here. (In the Lofoten islands.)

The perfect surfer. I hosted Flavio in Milan. We spent some days together so I known a very nice guy, a perfect surfer, a trusty person really involved in CS spirit.

Nice one Flavio. Flavio met me and a friend in Rome and took us to dinner, drinks and a tour around Rome at night. It was excellent as Flavio is very good with history, and
we saw much more than the normal tourist would. Thanks Flavio and hope to meet again onbe day.

 

HC Padova meeting. I hosted Flavio in my place durnig my first HC meeting in the town where I working, Padova. I think he's a very trustable person, really involved in "keep in touch" philosophy and a good example to follow for travelling. I hope to organize more events with him, in the near future.

 

Nice guy. Flavio met me in the Rome airport and took me out for a beer. He is a nice guy, and committed couch surfer!

 

Surprise Surprise... Flavio has arrived..... Flapic here, Flapic there always this Flapic everywhere but never getting the chance to meet him and to my surprise during my stay in Rome this last weekend he turned up at the restaurant where a few members of HC/CS were. Glad to finally get to know him him and hopefully will have the chance to meet again in future - I love that hidden shyness of him and for sure we will hug again. Muahh!!!

But even feeling this bad mood, speaking a little with him and looking him just staying with the others, I got into the desire to know him more, and felt like he his kind and friendly!
