Frederic loves adventure. He wants to see & experience as much as he can on his travels. His plans are very thoroughly researched. Should be a good person to organise a trip with.

Sorry i did not have the budget to participate in your epic Transkei travels.

The little time I spend with Fred and is friend Romain was very enjoyable. He was the first element that made me feel comfortable after a 36 hours transit to Cape Town. He didn't hesitate to introduce me the to backpacker where he was living and help me out. Great guy!

Too short a visit for us to really connect.

 

It was cool having Frederick stay with me. They had there own transport so I could feel what it must be like for people in other countries to host couch surfers. What I like most about him was how he loved my country: South Africa.

 

Frederic and his friend was a lot of fun to host, eventhough we were working most of the time. Glad to hear your cycling went well! Maybe we can meet up somewhere in Europe. Frederic is polite, funny and passionate about couchsurfing and I would recommend meeting him!

Fred and his best friend had just arrived in Cape Town. We met and spent a couple of hours together; very interesting guys, who've done their fair share of traveling and will have stories to tell. Pity they couldn't stay longer, but I'm sure at least Fred will be back!

 

Federic and his friend Romain couch surfed with us in Durban. They cooked a great meal, washed up and inspired us with their plan to cycle along the coast of South Africa.

He's thoughtful, engaging and well-travelled... and a great organiser and ambassador.

Frederic is possibly the most traveled individual I have ever met. He cooked for us, washed up after himself and had stories to tell.. Now he's off on a cycling adventure down the coast. I'm jealous and wish him lots of luck in his travels.

Frederic is a delightful person. He has so much enthusiasm and loves adventure. We had lots of fun together.

Fred is a very enthusiastic young man. He is passionate about Couchsurfing, nature, eco-tourism, hiking... We started communicating long before his arrival to South Africa. He makes a concious effort to promote CS wherever he goes. I was glad that he managed to join us in Swaziland for the Bush Fire festival.

He is an explorer and traveller with an unquenchable thirst for adventure. Fred's positive attitude and energy abounds. He will certainly be hiking along the paths less travelled :) I wish him the best of luck with his cycle project and future adventures.

 

Frederic has a wonderful travel philosophy – to go where the wind blows – we are so glad that the wind kept blowing him back in our direction. We spent a number of busy and happy days together, visiting places, meeting people, eating and laughing. We marvelled at his courage and adventurous spirit and with two years already on the road and possibly another one to go, he has a wealth of first hand experience – leaving us with many wise tips for long term travel. Yes, couchsurfing makes the world a small place and it will not be the last time we spend special moments together – we wait for the wind to blow us in your direction this time Frederic :)

 

Frederic must be one of the most active CSers I have ever met and have even tried to whip the South African community into shape.

He has a great passion for this project, believe in making the world a better place and enjoying every moment.

I love the way in which he becomes part of the culture he lives in. I hope he will continue with the great work he does on his travels through Africa and will find a great space once back in the France community.

Frederic has a really youthful persona, enthused by all which surrounds him. It's quite refreshing :) My mother referred to him as "delightful," just after his departure, which I think is a lovely summary for this intersting Frenchman.

Frederic is a good guy wanting to help out people wherever he can. He's also full of energy and really adventurous.

I distinctly remember him waking up at 3AM at the music festival we attended and trying to (somewhat unsuccesfully) drag our whole campsite up a mountain. 7 Hours later I fell flat on my back laughing as he came running down the hill with the biggest smile, and 4 other couchsurfers nearly dying of exhaustion behind him, screaming:
"I'm late, I don't want to miss going up Sani Pass!!!"

A few months later I hosted Fred in Jo'burg. It was a blast, I had a lot of fun with him. Once again he was bubbling with energy and ideas, topped off with his little French quirks. He also introduced me to about 6 other couchsurfers in the area that he either knew or surfed at and that I've never gotten round to meeting.

Meeting Frederic was one of my first really good CS experiences:) When I attended my first LEM meetings, we had really good chats, and I remember his calm and always friendly smile. It is really pity that after a few weeks he had to left, but I am sure that one day we will see each other again!!:)

Thanks for making the suggestion buddy. It was a great weekend.. I got to meet some great people and get out into the Swazi countryside!

I met Fred on Reunion Island, he organized hiking meetings each week-end through the island. He has a lot of energy and is always OK to discover new things and new people. You can trust him and feel secure when you are with him. He is very curious and adventurous, as I am.

Walking...that's the thing that comes to my mind first when I remember Fred. We just did so much of walking..first in the Durban heat trying to find the cheapest way for him to get to Hluhluwe and then when we hiked up the Drakensberg mountain at 3am to watch the sunrise! I could swear Fred brought me here to die, walking in the dark with no footpath to follow and sliding down the steep mountain on our way back, but the sunrise and the view from the top was incredible. Fred is a bit quiet and a little bit of a loner. He was not too keen on spending too much time with the rest of the Splashy Fenn CSers. He prefered to speak to people on a one on one basis. He cares a lot about the environment and if you need a good hiking guide, then Fred's your man! Enjoy your stay in SA and see you soon in Hluhluwe for another awesome adventure!!

Fred' was part of the meeting in La Plaine des Caffres. I then spend another day walking with him and other Csers along the "canalisation des orangers". He's a geat help to organise events and help people get together. It was also great exchanging about CS experiences and mutual friends.

Beware, hippie.

But a nice one. Very talkative, with a lot of possible subjects and a lot of opinions to confront yourself with. Plus a good walker and a curious mind.

Fred came to help us one day long to prepare a fruit trees field; and share our project about nature protection...etc
He is very dynamic, and i hope he'll come back after his journey in south africa !!

The first time I saw Fred I asked myself if it was a joke because it was just the first day of school! After one day we found a bond between us that we keep on working on!!! I consider himself as a close friend from the beginning and it lasts. He is a good man and he shows me many things which are very intersting. I hope that we'll go on having good time.

Frederic seems to be filled with strong passions! He's really friendly, he truely care for others and he's always willing to help a friend in needs!!

Frederic is a very open person with a beautiful positive energy, he is fun and amazing and clever and just adorable in general.

He and his parents host us during 3 days during our bike trip along de Loira Valley. There has been a very nice time. He and his parents are extremly friendly. They help us a lot whith the trip. It has been a very kind experience to know them and I hope see them in the future again. BIG THANKS to you and your parents.

well your reference do sums it all but we do share more than being couchsurfing members... we are both from the same region though i didnt quite live there for long but still got my anchors there ! it was good to meet frederic again, in fact i came following his invitation to the polyglot meeting with the intention to invite him over but shhhh...nah ok i didnt act on pity and i am sure you know it. for sure frederic is a very cool ambassador but he should learn to make the ironing.. that would be a great asset when leaving him alone in your flat !

 

Frederic and I met in Marseille while surfing together at the home of the same host. Fred right away impressed me with his vast couchsurfing experience, while his openness to other cultures and sense of humour simply blew me away! It's unfortunate we couldn't spend more time together but being the nomadic ambassador he is, I'm sure Fred is bound to turn up in my neck of the woods someday! A bientot Fred!

Fred! He was so very nice. There is something very especial about him; he's quiet in group, observer, and extremely talkative and funny when you are alone with him. He knows what he wants and he'll do it. He's a good person, I saw it in his eyes when I first met him, sleeping in front of Tarragona's town hall. I felt myself so comfortable, having breakfast with him and my hangover, I could have explained him my life. I wish you the best future, Fred, and of course a couch to surf whenever!!!

Fred is one of the most adventurous couchsurfers I have met! He is always ready for crazy experiments and likes to cook chocolate cakes until 3 am! haha Seriously, I loved having talks with him because he is a great listener and he is intellectually very curious! He wants to learn all the time, recipes, languages, cultures! You must meet this guy once... and I must trek the Grand Canyon with you once!

Frederic really is a model CS ambassador - we met during my stay in Barcelona. Very friendly,helpful, open minded, curious to know different cultures and easy to get along with. I really like his lifestyle of staying and working at one place and then moving on to another. He is also very enthusiastic and open to
adventurous experiences while traveling - I'd be more than happy if I am able to have even a small fraction of all the adventures and experiences he's already had in his life.

 

After extensive emails conversations we finaly met and we instantly felt like old friends. We had lots of laughter, good times chating and sharing. Frederic is full of life and highly sociable and inclusive person. He's very open minded and like to give himself challenges to evolve in life.

Fred is a very friendly, relaxed, humble, interested and funny guy who makes couchsurfing and learning languages his lifestyle. We had long conversations and got on really well from the start. And he really appreciates a well-cooked meal! :)

 

I had my first surfing in my life at Fred's. He is a very attentive host,and open-minded person. We had a hike together on the seaside, and I have to tell, he is as adventurous as he says! :)
I'm very glad to him, as he hosted me two days longer, as it was originally in plan, because I had nowhere else to go. Thank you again for that!

 

Fred is a fantastic guy! Very enthusiastic about learning new cultures and new languages; he's a shoe-in for the travel studies program he wants to get into (my fingers are crossed!). He has a fool-proof 'see Barca in one day' itinerary; it was great! Thanks for being so understanding when I was sick! I now can keep food down as of 24 hours ago!!

 

Fréderic and I didn't get to spend enough time together. We started talking and ended up deciding to forgo sleep in place of an awesome conversation. He definitely has the CS spirit and hosts an impressive number of people. He truly exemplifies the amazing stories and people that CS brings together. Hope we can meet again, Fréderic!

Federic is an honest, sincere, funny, and kind-hearted guy. We met at a CS dinner that his host hosted (I was surfing another couch in Valencia). He really made me feel special because he was so interested in knowing my state (Minnesota), what it was like, where it was, etc. He got on the internet and made me show him! :-)

I wish you the best in life, and to enjoy your good fortune in Barcelona. I hope we can meet again and have some nuits blanches (sp?) and be swimming in dreams and all those other great French expressions... and keep doing yoga, you´re really good at it!

Update: I surfed his place in Barcelona for a couple nights and had so much fun! We didn't have time for yoga, but he sent me on this "city tour" of his which is THE BEST! ...and I also kept his map accidentally--sorry future surfers!
We cut hair and went to a language exchange--he starts the coolest things--and hopefully we'll both be in uni this fall and can visit each other on break! take care, my beautiful friend!

Frederic hosted me at the last minute when I had no place to stay because all the hostels were booked for the holidays. He is a lifesaver! He's extremely sweet and friendly, and he shared some of his interests with me, playing some songs from his favorite artists. I will be happy to host Frederic anytime he comes to America!

He is a funny, talkative and easygoing guy. Love the travels and nature. He have a lovely "gorrito". I enjoy many great meetings with him, picnic, earth festival, beach, etc,etc...always he has been nice and friendly

 

When I was a child, I heard lots of stories about how French people don't like foreigners, how they only speak French and how they are only interested in their own culture. Now, Frédéric is completely the opposite: a very friendly and very happy guy, speaking plenty of languages and always looking to learn something new about this world. Was nice to meet you!

 

Frederic - the first person I ever met through CS. Despite my being late, and gate-crashing the event, and his toe gushing blood after he´d torn off some skin, Frederic was fantastically friendly and welcoming.

He´s full of life and exuberant, like a sunny day on the beach. But he´s also relaxed and easy-going, like a lazy afternoon in the park.

And he´s passionate about people. Yes, he loves people. I think that´s the best part about him.

Great guy! Very genuine, sweet, and kind. We traveled to Sitges together, explored Barcelona together, and overall had a great time. I would definitely recommend him!

 

Frédéric is a very responsible, clever and open-minded guy. He likes discovering different cultures. He is very easy to live with. When I first met him, we got on very well and it seems as we have known each other for years. I strongly recommend you to couchsurf with Fredéric if you have the opportunity to do so. Frederic is a nice guy and helped out my good friend Andras while he was in BCN. i didn't get to know him so well, because we only had dinner and some beers, but i had a good impression, he's funny- and we gave him a hard time over english pronunciation. enjoy barcelona and tell me where you go in the US!

Frederic is a crazy guy (like me!) :) during my trip in Spain i sent him an sms asking did he decide to go with me to Figuares and Cadaques or not and he said "yes!". on next day we rented a car in BCN and spent 2 days travelling together. We were in some interesting places (Cadaques was the best!), took crazy photos, slept one night in the car and i just had a fun travelling with him. thanx for idea to rent a car and to be our driver, otherwise we couldn't do so many things in such short period of time.

Although i still haven't manage to find the time to host Fred i had the opportunity to meet him during few Cs meeting and i can assure you that you can get along very easily with fred as he is a very easygoing and talkative guy, see ya soon in barcelona ^_^

Frédéric is very friendly and very open minded. He got on fine with everybody during the cassoulet party in Paris.I'm very happy that you've finally found a job in such a nice place as Barcelona !! Frédéric is a mature, friendly, really open-minded guy. You can have profound discussion with him on almost all the subjects but especially books and movies. He likes to cook and participate too. Together we did: Yoga on the beach, cooked a paella, swim in the sea (almost), bike all Valencia, made a movie, lot's of pictures, ate a kebab, organised a CS dinner, had a lot of laughs, walked on the beach,etc, etc etc.

Was very cool, and surprising, to meet Frederic in Barcelona as we both grew up in the same city... in the west part of France! I hosted Fred for two nights in BCN before getting a room. Fred is really nice, calm, but very active and curious about things. I liked to talk with him. He's a young person with several experiences and has a very open mind to get new experiences on his live! Keep in touch Fred! :-)

We met two times at CS meetings in Barcelona. We talk about working abroad and life in general. It was interesting for me to met him and maybe meet him again somewhere in europe.

Great first experience!

Frederic was my first couchsurfing experience for two nights. We have discovered together a nice artistic place ("squat de la chapelle") where we saw a concert. Good luck for your new life in Barcelone. It was nice to meet him.

We had met in Paris, hosted simultaneously by a very good friend of mine. We had good time with others guests, with an atmosphere very close to Youth Hostels.

We met during the "cassoulet" meeting in Paris, then we spent some days & nights together and with other CS. Good guy, nice and open to discuss and who likes to share experiences. It's a pity I missed the gathering he organized to make the different people who hosted him meet each other. Fred was in Paris in order to find a job, I hope he'll get it !

Frédéric is a very friendly an light-hearted person. He is very easy to make friends with.

We were hosted by the same host for a night or two, and Frédéric is a very friendly, positive guy to be around. Good luck in Paris!
