So! Finally I met Giampaolo!!! the best famous meeting organizer in Bertinoro!! so many mails recived from him! and he is nice and easy going as a real CS is!!
Let's meet again and go for piadina and good wine together!! :-)

Gianpaolo came to visit me in a time when I couldn`t be the best host. We didn`t spend so much time tgether, but I think he is a very uncomplicated, friendly and reliable person. And thanks for the tasty parmeggiano!!

Gianpaolo is soooooo nice. He met me at the train and was just such a great guy to spend time with. Unfortunately, he was a working some when I was there since I was in the week...but his house is so close to the center of Bertinoro it was no problem for me to walk around and see things easily. We had some wonderful meals together and nice wine and conversations...and of course as so many times in CS...there was not enough time with him. I really hope that I can come back to Bertinoro and take his name from the hospitality column!!!!

Gianpaolo was kind to host me at the '09 Hospitality Festival. I felt immediately relaxed at his home with the great view. I enjoyed tremendously this lovely festival and town. Thanks so much!
Since the busy weekend and my leaving earlier we didn't get enough time to chat more. Maybe at another event...

For 3 days i saw this guy running around to make all the CS people in Bertinoro feel at home. I truly felt great happiness when i saw his smile when he looked around and thought" it is great to see the effects of effort" and he deserved it. A host Bertinoro can be proud of. He is the bridge between the pillar on the square and the computer.

Giampaolo organized one of the best CS events I ever attended! i look forward to seeing more of him around, to move and shake CS in Romagna...

Gianpaolo managed to bring the crazy CS spirit into the local ancient tradition of hospitality in Bertinoro... and now I am looking forward having more occasions to meet him and talk with calm :)

I met Gianpaolo at his home in Bertinoro (Italy). He hosted a friend of mine and me one night at his very nice flat with a very nice view over the country! We went out for dinner and he showed us a famous local meal called "piadina". Thank you very much for hosting us!

Few times I've had the opportunity to know a person so involved in this great project called CS.
One of these times was at Bertinoro. The name of this person, GIANPAOLO!
He's organized an unforgettable weekend for the CS Community giving us the chance to participate in one ot the
most beautiful events where I've been: Bertinoro's Hospitality Festival.
He's a VERY VERY VERY kind, polite, simple and helpful guy...a GREAT example of what HOSPITALITY means. I feel me so
lucky to have shared these days with him and his girlfriend. I hope to see them soon!

It was such a nice experience we have had with him and his girlfriend.
A better introduction into that region wouldn´t be possible, and will be always kept in mind when talking about what the menaing of couchsurfing is.

this GENTELMAN has arranged a wonderful meeting in BERTINORO where he lives... I don't know how to thank him fro everything he's done and many energies he's spent for alla of us good bye to next year and welcome in Verona perhaps sailing the river adige with Claudia

Thanks for being part of that great experience.It will be difficult to get the same opportunity to know this part of my country with such a great people and warm atmosphere.
He's a well organized guy with a positive attitude for the others.

A special boy! nice and warm, pretty and kind, polite and peaceful. he organized the Cs Event in Bertinoro and i was so proud of been there with my son and my sister. i spent a wonderful time there with him in Bertinoro and now i'm happy: his town is a beautiful example of hospitality, right as Cs, and i learn a lot of things....
so i decided to come to Bertinoro the next year for the same event!!!

He invited all the couch surfers to join him and Bertinoro town in celebrating the medioeval ritual of hospitality, during the Hospitality Festival.
He asked the major to present the Couch surfing community and he did it in a very brilliant way.
He arranged everything for us, in order to get Bertinoro and to stay there for the night.
I strongly suggest everyone to go there, visit this nice-tipical-italian village, eat tipical italian food, drink delicious wine from Romagna and enjoy Gianpaolo's company, of course!!!!

 

Gianpaolo has inert friendship quality!
When I was stranded with a CC not functionnig he even helped me out with money which I sent him back after my return.
He was really also engaged so I can get to know his area and place in a cultural sense which I liked very much.

I am sad, that we could stay by Gianpaolo only 1 night (we had to go to travel to home from our holliday), because he is very sympatic and friendly guy! I hope you will come to us and we spend more time with you! :o)

Gianpaolo is a very nice guy, he opened his house for me with a huge grade of trust I really appreciated!

 

Very very nice! He was one of the first CSers I met, and I was at ease from the first moment! So I have to thank him too if I'm still on CS (or is it a pity?!?!?). The prototype of the good ambassador!!!

Gian I meet on a couchsurfingmeeting/bbq in Praia Ingleses and I talk to him for some minutes before I get to drunk, he come little late if I remember it right beocuse he just arrived from Italy. He seems to be a really nice and kind guy who know alots of couchsurfing. I recomend you meet this guy.

Cool Ambassador close to my hometown, nice mood & funny, great in arranging meetings & offering support! Highly recommended, his maturity is something very desirable!

Other than sharing the hundreds positive comment already referred to Giampaolo, I can also add that he is a guy with whom you can have a serious as much as a funny conversation without getting bored !

 

I got the chance to see Gianpaolo in action. After our very sucessfull 2nd German-Italian-CS-Meeting here in Wiesbaden, many of us continued partying and dancing in an old slaughterhouse ... the secret place to go out in Wiesbaden.
Gianpaolo and his friend came with to explore the German nightlife.
I had the feeling they enjoyed it and had fun, even though it was a long and strenguous day for them.
We did not talk much, but I was very glad he joined us. If you have the talent to talk with your eyes like Gianpaolo... it sometimes makes life easier

Gianpaolo! What a tremendous organizer! I got the good experience from him during the 1st CS-Meeting in Romagna. He was so kind with my two other friends of Wiesbaden. He catched us at the airport, then we went to San Marino. And what a wonderfull evening in Cesena: In your meeting I met so many other interesting people. I meet him in a CS meeting in Praia Ingleses and he seem to be a really nice guy, he come with a friend who lives on the Island, Florianopolis, I think, they are bouth great guys.

 

Giampaolo is a wonderful person; clever, funny, easy going and very trustable.
After leaving from his couch I can tell it..I couldn't find anything better as first couchsurfing experience.
You gotta know him!

 

At last we met, as thanks to my EXCELLENT delay ;-) we didn't meet in cesena for aperitif.... mmmmh I think it'd be a good excuse to organize another aperitif/dinner/thermal baths, what do u think? Let's go and cu soon!

 

Gianp is the perfect host. He came to take us to the train station, he prepared us the breakfast and tolerated me and my friend drunk! He's very nice, intelligent, he has lots of interests and he lives in a fantastic place! I saw a buck (daino) from his balcony!

Gianpaolo was an amazing surprise from CS! Interesting and positive, we could laugh a lot when he was in Brazil for a couple of weeks. I can say my mamma enjoyed a lot your visit at home, and since then we're wondering if we have Italian blood too even with our Japanese faces... :) Hope to see you again!

He organized the meeting in a great place and did a wonderfull job...sorry I had to leave earlier....I'll promise, next time I'll stay till the end. Did not have the chance of talking a lot with him but hope it will happen in future ( it will cause he'll have to become my private guide for Cesena :P)

UPDATE: Gianpaolo organized a beautiful meeting in his city, demonstrating more and more he really is an active member of couchsurfing and a great person. I spent the following night on his couch and I can say he's a perfect host as well!

If you like to think of CS as one big family and of strangers as friends we just haven't met yet...go stay with Gianpaolo. He is friendly, trustfull and absolutley lovely. I requested Gianpaolo when he offered at the CS meeting planner a lift from Forli Airport to the Bologna Meeting. But i got much more then only a ride... he picked me up at the Airport with his car, gave me the complete afternoon a tour through Forli, Cesena and Bertinoro, also he cooked at his nice appartment a very delicious pasta for me! Great host, great friend! I hope next time i spend more time with you and also then longer! Thank you for everything and I hope we will met soon again in Italy or maybe if you come to Germany on your next flights! Cu soon my friend!

Don't loose the opputunity to meet Giampaolo sharing time and activities with him! He is a very friendly and clever guy whith a deep respect and open mind to the others! Not only a CS memeber on my region but I hope a new friend close to me.
After the Bertinoro festival last september 2008 I can tell that Giamp is not only e really good event's organizer but a very clever and respctable CS member that rappresent all of us and our group at the best. So much responsability and easy joker I fell to be closer to Giampoalo than yesterday.

Well... I'm always late... and... always change plans at the last second... but... for Gianpaolo was not a problem when I asked him if I could join the CS Meeting in Cesena, 30 minutes before the meeting... very polite person.

Gianpaolo is absolutely mythical, he is a boy kind and courteous, he is very available.
Gian. has known my mother, initially my mom was afraid to let me go in car with him, then when she knew that he is a former financier, my mother was immediately calmed down!!

Gianpaolo is an excellent person, friendly, reliable and sensitive. For a while he made me forget the purpose of my tryp - work. I enjoyed very much to visit Bertinoro, Cesenatico and Ravenna. My first "notte bianca" was great, specially the "funny" concert at the church. I also liked very much the local food, the wine from Puglia and of course the cookies from Moldavia !?!?!Grazie 1000 e a presto!!

Gianpaolo is a very open minded, positive, cultivated person, always ready to help you. I like a lot his sense of humor and his Italian imagination to find the solution in any situation. One of the nicest person I've ever met. At the evening in Bertinoro with Gianpaolo we learnt more about Italy than during whole last week.

 

Me and my friends had an incredible first time couchsurf experience at Gianpaolo's place. Besides being really cool he took us out to the beach with his car, showed us the town, the sights and everything we needed to know about the area. We also met his wonderful friends. Gianpaolo is a great host. Even while we only stayed for one night he managed to show us a lot of the surroundings and took us to a very nice restaurant for some typical food of the region. He is very generous and friendly. There is always a couch for him in Utrecht!

Gianpaolo is one of those persons who make me feel frustrated not to be fluent in english cause I can't really write what I think :( Gianpaolo is a very cool and clever guy with a lot of experience. I met him at a CS meeting in Bologna and I was looking for someone. Not only did he help me look for this person but he really made me laugh, then he took me on a tour of Bologna and he even offered to show me around his town. He did all these when we had only meet that evening. That really shows me that he is really open, helpful and kind. I hope to see him In Perugia or his town
