Couch Information
Couch Available: Maybe Preferred Gender: Any Smoking allowed Has children: No Can host children: Yes Has pets: Yes Can host pets: No Max Surfers Per Night: 3
Shared Sleeping Surface: No Shared Room: NoWe have a one bedroom apartment, which leaves the living room open to CouchSurfers. Your sleeping options consist of a couch, a love-seat, a queen-sized air mattress, or carpeting if you prefer the floor. There's plenty of extra towels and blankets, so no need to bring your own. I live with my girlfriend and her dog Sophie. We live in Alameda, a little island off Oakland.
As far as public transportation goes, it's not very good. There is a bus that runs by our apartment, so it is possible to get around, it just takes a long time. If you want to spend the majority of your time in San Francisco and don't have a car, Alameda is not ideal.
Sophie the dog is adorable and loves people, and will demand lots of petting once she gets to know you. It's also likely that you'll wake up to her investigating you when we take her out to pee in the morning.

Personal DescriptionI'm from everywhere; a true citizen of the world.
I've been described as aloof (and based on the How To instructions, I'd say its an apt description). Other characteristics that define me are my perpetual smile, ability to do the unexpected, and knack for story-telling. As much as I enjoy being social and meeting new people, I equally prefer to sit in the corner and watch the world go by.How I Participate in CSin addition to actively living the CouchSurfing life, I'm also a former member of the CS Tech TeamInterestsyes, i am interestedMusic, Movies, Booksmusic: just about everything (with a strong preference towards mellow rock/electronic) a few of the bands that really move my soul: Built To Spill, Pink Floyd, Mew, Blonde Redhead, Jimi Hendrix, Jurassic 5, Air, Sigur Ros, Mars Volta, Amadou & Mariam, Cat Power, the Knife, Yeah Yeah Yeahs... movies: there once was a point where I thought there was no such thing as a bad movie (now I just keep my expectations low) - I'll list 3 of my favorite writer/directors in no particular order: Charlie Kaufman, Stanley Kubrick, the Coen Brothers, and Wes Anderson (oh, that was 4); books: humurous fiction (ie Tom Robbins, Douglas Adams, Jasper Fforde, Christopher Moore, etc) and non-fiction sci-fi (Ray Kurzweil, Joel Garreau, ...)One Amazing Thing I've Seen or Done...everyday in this world is an amazing thing.... some of the things I'm most proud of doing: dog sledding, seeing the Aurora Borealis, hanging from hooks, learning to ride a motorcycle, skiing/hiking some beautiful mountains, hitch-hiking (always an amazing experience), driving a Formula 1 racecar, playing in the night ocean with dinoflagellates (the bioluminescent algae)Locations TraveledTRAVELED: Belgium, Canada, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Iceland, Mexico, Netherlands, Northern Ireland, Poland, Scotland, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Switzerland LIVED: Australia, Ireland (Republic of), Japan, New Zealand, Sweden, Thailand, United States IS GOING TO: Turkey
What do these numbers mean?
This summary is not a replacement for reading references; it's a quick summary to help you get started. At a glance, you can see how many references a member has, and how many of them are positive, neutral, and negative.
In the second line, you'll see how many references came from people who hosted this member, surfed with them, and traveled with them. These numbers won't always add up to the total: some references are not categorized, and some may be categorized as more than one thing.
When viewing this summary, don't jump to conclusions! Things that are negative for one person may be positive for another, and vice versa. It's important to read references carefully and evaluate what that information means to you. References (154)151Positive 3Neutral 0Negative

From Danny Ricciotti San Francisco, United States Apr 9 Positive Jeff rocks!
From Amr Assaid Amsterdam, Netherlands Mar 28 Positive Jeff is a great guy. He's laid back, insightful and witty. I had great heart to heart conversations with him, and really enjoyed his company like a brother. It was absolutely wonderful to find such an accidental friend through a chain reaction of couchsurfing events.
From Enda Gallery Limerick, Ireland (Republic of) Feb 23 Positive Great guy. Great company. Good craic!
From Sean Conrad San Francisco, United States Jan 27 Positive i've never hosted or stayed with jeff, but as part of the dozens of meals we've shared i know his spirit to be adventurous, his mind to be open, and his actions to always come from a good place!
From Debz B Edinburgh, Scotland Nov 13, 2011 Positive Jeff was a pleasure to host. He rocked up and met me at a fellow CSers house with a couple of bottles of wine and I dragged him to another place shortly after. He got along well with everyone I introduced him too. As Jeff mentioned, it felt like I had known him for years. He is a really easy going guy, generally happy-go-lucky and up for just about everything (including playing a kazoo). Twas a pleasure!
From Fabio Gutiérrez Tlalnepantla, Mexico Sep 4, 2011 Positive Jeff is a real chill nice guy who's really nice to hang out with and also to speak to. Nice meeting you man.
From Ruta Danyte Dublin, Ireland (Republic of) Aug 30, 2011 Positive Jeff, the one who is from everywhere. And I believe he is :) The greatest ''flip-flop'er'' I know.. :) Met him in Street Performers Championship & Wallie day and after that it turned into a friendship, hanging out in town on weekends. I'm so glad I met Jeff, as he seems to be an absolutely free spirit, enjoying life and always on the road:) See you soon, Jeff, I hope so :)
From Katerina Soldatova Dublin, Ireland (Republic of) Aug 30, 2011 Positive I met Jeff once on CS meeting and started to chat with him about his amazing journeys all over the world - fantastic, could talk with him for an ages=)) And now he is moving again=(
Hopefully you will have another great experience=)
Take care
From Colleen Sollars San Francisco, United States Aug 10, 2011 Positive Jeff, like many of my CS family, is one of the more unique people on the earth. The things I know about Jeff: he follows through on plans; when I mention that he should stop by and say hi, he does; he is not one to agree with something for the sake of being agreeable; he is really fun and laid back; he does not reveal anything unnecessary; our conversations always leave me feeling like I learned something. I am so psyched that Jeff is moving to SF soon!
From Milos Jirman Dublin, Ireland (Republic of) Jul 19, 2011 Positive Jeff helped me a lot during organising my first event because he has lot of experience with CS and is excelent driver. If you meet him you can come across lot of interresting stories that he managed during his travelling arround the whole world.
