Kendra Hoover

We met few times at CS Liberec meetings. Kendra is a pleasant companion to talk and to have good time together. See u again!

 

I am glad to finally meet the other Hoover and it is a pleasure to finally meet her. I am looking forward to hanging out with her and dancing, movies, and perhaps painting the house with her. See you soon neighbor!

I have to tell you all that Kendra is one of the best persons I ever met :D She always made me laugh. I think I was hosting her for like 4 times. We are both in organisation Atlantic Bridge so when was she living in Czech Republic she was working for them ans she travelled with them to Slovenia few times :D I really miss her now that she returned back to US. But Im sure that we will see each other soon :D

She came to out city with her twin and we went out for a picknick. I had a good time with them.

 

Kendra is one of the most friendly, trustworthy and open people we know (she also has the bluntest knifes we know):-) It appeared recently that she is a very talented photographer and she shoots on film, which is massively rare these days. Oh yes, and she's very pretty:-) In case you don't know her, don't hesitate to do so - you're missing out big time!

 

When kendra was young she fell in big tun of hospitality, i guess. Thank you for that, for your efforts to show me around and for the two days in Most where i could recover.

Kendra is very easygoing person and I'm sure she will do here best to make her guests' stay as comfortable as possible. We met couple of times in Most and had some very nice discussions.

Kendra and I have met in varous places and spent a lot of fun moments paiting stars on our face, dressing up, dancing around to twist or playing petanque and surviving a car being driven by Emre. She is someone I'm always happy to see on various events around and experience the fun world around:) oh...and when u meet her remember that she has a twin sister who can easily fool u into thinking she is Kendra:P

A big thanks for the CS in Most and opportunity to meet local people. Interesting discussions and sense of humour for a good evening.

Kendra is a sunny bright person, smile of whom can say a lot about her personality. She is quite easy-going and ready to have adventure any time. We met only once but I would like to meet her again and to feel her positive energy that can be easily directed at anyone :)

We have spent beautiful times destroying our competitors in a pool tournament and have danced like crazy after that to celebrate our fantastic success. Kendra is great companion and a very friendly person. U cant beat her when it comes to predicting the future events. To me she predicted being drunk and happy that evening and she got it completely right.

I enjoyed meeting Kendra a lot! We met in Prague together with her twin sister Karla. Had great goulash and talk and laugh. )) Sunny soul, really! Very, very positive! Always wecome to Kiev! ;-)))

after meeting in prague several times i visited Most, she was a great host. We also partied a bit up in liberec. I'd travel with or host her anytime.

She really came back!!! The first couchsurfer that visited me twice and I hope it wasn`t the last time. Such a great person!

You are very lucky if you can ever travel with Kendra! Adventurous and daring, genial and very friendly, she makes a great guest. I will miss her for many reasons, but most for being the only girl that ever agreed to do judo with me:). Kendra is welcome back any time!

 

If you're looking for a CS mate to visit the city, Kendra may just be the right person to meet - or to bump into :) - eating, drinking, riding some moutain bike... Just ask !

Also, she's teaching English in CZ so it's not like you're watching some US show like the Sopranos... you don't need any subtitles.

kendra is a wonderfull girl!full of sense of humor!! but being a party person doesnt really stop her from being responsible and helpfull for her frienmds. I can deffinetly refer her as wonderfull example of CS member. If u only have occasion - be her host!!!!

i hosted kendra for 3 nights and it was fun. she seems to be active couchsurfer (organising some events in czech republic) and very nice guest. i will never forget our 'mudfields' festival ;]

Kendra is keen on artist, because she knows how to draw the best playing cards ever. Also she knows how to survive in open-air festival fully of mud. She's utterly fantastic girl.

I have done a lot different things with Kendra and she is a deep well of crazy ideas and positive mood. If/when you meet her you won't get bored. Her chocolate chips cookies are amazing.

Lovely person, she gives you no chance not to like her. Also, she's a master behind the wheel and very friendly with romanian police :)

Kendra is an interesting American lady. If you are Czech, she will greet you "ahoj" intead of "hi". She also learns czech idioms which sometimes makes her czech friends laugh ;-). She is funny to be with!

Kendra is a very interesting, thoughtful, intelligent, fun person. We had a blast doing the photo trip, and i think we won in spirit! Hope she comes to Australia one day... can show her the cute drop bears! :o)

 

We did not talk much (expect for some little working stuff, sorry, I am not gonna change ;) but I hope we will in a future. I definitely want to meet Kendra again and talk more. Kendra has been a source of joy for Anne... and after meeting Kendra this image was confirmed. She's great with kids, she's welcoming and she has a warm and kind personality (she even puts up with my lame jokes). I wish her the best in her new homeland.

I met this zoobomber in a lovely meeting in Brno. She somewhat resembles me in the sense that she is quiet in the first place but always welcoming for a nice chat. Not only skilled in reporting for Czech BBC, she also scores good points as she comes from Portland U.S., home to Pink Martini.

I hope I can meet her again in another nice CS event and she is always welcome where ever I am.

Kendra was an important support for our Brno meeting. Jolly spirit, great heart, appropriate guest!

Kendra and I were in the gym togheter. Although we didn't have much time to get to know each other I can say that she's a really nice and charming girl and it's fun to hang out with her.

If u don't like Kendra, then u must hate fun. As soon as i met her in Rotterdam we clicked immediately. Maybe it's because we're both portlanders, or maybe because i know her sis. But i like to think it's cause Kendra is just one amazing person :0) If u have the chance to meet her, u should, otherwise you're passing up a great oppurtunity.

kendra is nice and sweet :) Funny and easy-going. I liked to spend time with her. We first met in Praha. She surfed my couch. She was travelling with her sis and I decided to join them to some different destinations. It was such a crazy week. And for sure I will remember it all my life. Kendra is an admirable lady of considerable ethical constitution. Kendra is very selfless in my eyes and looks for the welfare of less privilaged before herself. I would recomend anyone to meet and learn from her example of life.

 

Met Kendra at a CS Meeting in Liberec - great conversation over a few beers at St. Patrick's, Kendra is a captivating lady, wish we could've talked more! If you're ever in our part of the world, do let us know!

 

Kendra made me cookies and I drove her bananas. Not really, but she did make some great cokie cake things and I made an ass of myself and she's definitely the kind of American that you want to run into because she doesn't tell you everything she thinks, she doesn't try to convince you of her opinions and most of all after two meetings she maintains her air of mystery and danger.

Hopefully she came to our "CS meeting" which was more a "one to one to one" meeting lol ... Great evening with this funny and energic girl. My brother will just kick your ass next time if you are laughing at him :)

Our mutual friend invited me to Budapest where I could have met her, but instead she came to Vienna. She's quite attentive and we enjoyed conversations on various topics. Hopefully, we'll meet again somewhere, sometime.

I know Kendra enough to call her my friend and I enjoy being her friend. We danced together, drank together, hiked together, climbed together, travelled together and threw a paper airplane from the Eifel tower. Permanently in a good mood, easy to get along and with some madcap plan ready when you expect it the least. Her only real weakness is inability to admit that Nalgene water bottle can be destroyed and the fact that she makes pictures of food which doesn't seem normal to me:)

 

Funny enough, after returning from Hawaii, arriving at the first CS-Vienna gathering, I bump into a girl from the States! Hope to see you soon, wanna know more about this Nomadic Ambassador..

I met Kendra in Vienna and in a few minutes after we met we were talking about our favourite US shopping places in Boise, Idaho:-) Amazing how small the world is!!!
Kendra introduced me the Vienna citybikes, I am very thankful for it because we had lot of fun:-)

Kendra's 4th visit in Vienna, perfect CS weekend - participating in the Viennese freeze and another Stammtisch! Then nice lunch (pierogi made by Eliza&Olek) at my place with some friends and Jack Wild and finally watching Family Guy all together! ...why weekends only last two days?!

Her job is really nice allowing her to travel a lot and having so much fun. We met for the 3rd time already, she brought me digital remote control from the future from US&A - I love it! This time we met in Budapest where she lost her - in Europe rather unique - "IKEA-virginity"! We have a nice video :-) ...then moving to this city closer to Austrian border of that name starts with Moson.. (and ends very complicated). There we met other people from the community she works in. We all had so much fun, spa and sauna entry included! Cool her next stop was Prague, going there from HU she could crash at my place in Vienna again = more fun! Just while saying bye we discovered we can do really good movies... more to come soon hopefully! Dziękuję.

I have to rewrite the whole reference about Kendra. The old one was quite impersonal, so here it comes: Because of another person I almost lost contact with her, which means I almost lost a good friend! It took me several months to realize what a good person she is. Thank to her I learned something about life. I'm glad she lives in Europe now, hope we can meet from time to time to keep our friendship growing. Tons of good karma! Thank you Kendra for helping me becoming a better person!

Thanks so much for all help I got from you and for supporting me while coming back down to earth! It's so weird I found 'the letter' in my postbox while you were standing next to me. I decided not to open it since it would be like opening an already healed wound... or like opening a door that makes you curious not knowing what's behind but at the same time you know it's better to keep it closed. Nice opportunity to practice strength against curiosity :-) Why to open it at all while it's much more exciting to imagine what could be inside than learning the real content - I never thought a sealed letter can make a man more happy than opened one.

 

We had a dinner at my place, played some games and then rushed to the CS meeting in Eindhoven. She stayed just for 1 night catching an early plain, but I definitely enjoyed spending time with her, as she is a sincerely kind person, having fun in her life, work, friends, everything :)
Hope to meet again, when she is back to Holland in few weeks!

An inspiration for life and it's possibilities, I hope to run into Kendra overseas someday, with my pending travel plans. Mind you, if she would appear in my living room any given moment, she will always be received with open arms! Send multiple post cards from crazy places please!

Kendra and her sister were my first couchsurfers! I have known both of them while growing up in the same town, and Kendra is an absolutely wonderful and genuine person. Being a Halfway girl, I would trust her with my life!

i hope to see her again because she seems.. to be how to say: emotional? a charisma of goodness - only few people i know have this.

Kendra visited me in Amsterdam in November 2007 together with her sister and Frederico. For me it was the first time hosting CSers and also one of the funniest weekends in a long time :)

Kendra is just amazing, so much fun to hang out with her. We wandered around the city, cooked dinner, saw a fun Romanian band and had a long, long night of dancing. I'd host her again any time!

Well as said, she does my dishes... that is of course at the time we actually are in the same house... (we are supposedely living together.. But dear Kendra always travels).
Apart from being a dish-washing-robot.. I also know her as a smiling and kind person..

 

She was staying at Franz's and we met during the wonderful concert at Paradiso! We danced a lot on the sounds of balkan music!!

 

I arrived in the land of Kruiningen dressed with a red bow to celebrated her birthday with her sister and friends and we have a funny and interesting week end in Amsterdam. Glad to have known her.

Kendra is another example of why the Portland Couch Surfers get along so well. She's funny and can keep the party going...or was that her sister? Just kidding =). They're both cool and maybe she can teach me some Dutch on my next visit to the Netherlands.

I met Kendra at a CS meeting in Portland, she is very nice and gave me some good pointers for couchsurfing. FYI: I'll be in the Netherlands until August 13, does that overlap with you?

 

Kendra is fabulous! She adds a spark to every gathering and makes me proud to be a part of couchsurfing Portland. She is further evidence that Portland couchsurfers are the best in the world!

Kendra rocked socks! picked me up at the portland airport via short notice and delivered me on time the next day. Shes a great chica that i hope to see again soon! Very down to earth and easy going.

It was really fun to hang out with her, her friend Christie, the two Canadians and my two hosts. The various trips and especially the funny conversations were amazing!

Kendra is wicked!
She invited us over at their house, aka second base... or is it third base? I forget, i fell asleep on the trampoline. She's a wicket lady with an open mind, I hope she comes up to Vancouver soon for a visit.

Kendra was so much fun to hang out with... and a good sport with our wacky games. Can't wait to hang out again!

Kendra is a very nice person to share a conversation with and was extremely helpful with giving me ideas for my travels in Europe. Fun timeys.

 

If we didn't live in the same city I would totally host Kendra. We met at a CS meeting in Portland and then explored the Gorge with a van full of couchsurfers. It was a blast and I'm definitely looking forward to hanging out with her again this summer.

 

Kendra and I almost go way back. Our lives have crossed many times but only recently have we met. She is an amazing girl with a great smile and a warm personality. I look forward to seeing her again!

 

I do not believe that the weekend surrounding the '07 PDX Summer Meetup (or the meetup itself, for that matter) would have had half the luster it did if it were not for Miss Kendra's signature influence. She is a refreshing example of NW hospitality, and helped usher in this beautiful summer weather with a great wit and seemingly limitless kindness. Four stars, Miss Kendra. Four stars, indeed.

I was introduced to Kendra through Pawel (her CS host in Vienna); we drank sangria & sex on the couch, had fun, went to cinema for an totally boring movie, toked about live; I was a little depress on this days, and maybe sad as well. very nice girl, smart to, and I´m sure that we are going to drink another sangria somewhere again:)

I met Kendra in the "tunnel" where the first Viennese Stammtisch took place. Had a lot of fun with her and the other csers in the "tunnel" and dancing afterwards in "b72" was really cool.
simply a shame that we didn't talk that much. So i hope to see her again to change that.

 

I had the pleasure of meeting Kendra not once, but twice during my time in Vienna. We have some very important things in common, such as pasta cooking strategies. Kendra, even in the short time I knew her, left a strong impression of being a delightful and funny person. Cheers!

We met at Starometska Radnice, in Prague, and with all the guests of Jerome, and we went in many places in Prague, the "csili" bar, to drink a lot ;) and after we went in this dancing place called, "L'Enfer Rouge" to continue the party :)

She is a very, very nice and very cooperative girl. We spend tougether 2 nights (and 2 mornings :) in Prague. There was super ! She save my heel and was understading my English. Thanks :)
