Igor Konovalov

Igor is an Awesome guest! Spent a couple days with him wondering around Beijing and listening to him play his didgeridoo. Great conversationalist, and very open minded. He is also very courteous and clean while keeping a flexibleschedule to work around his hosts. Beijing Times Best Hosting List gives him a "Must-Host" while the Washington Hosters Association says "Wild ride in a relaxing and comfortable seat".

Igor and Gulnara are the first people I met via CS, and I'm extremely glad it's with them my CS experience started - Igor and Gulnara are very helpful and open-minded, and they know how to make their guests feel at ease right away they get to their place.
they do have a sort of light inside, which can warm those who surround them... and I will be looking forward to meet Gulnara and Igor again.

I spent a very nice time at Igors and Gulnaras place. I felt myself very comfortable and as at home, it was a beautiful feeling to stay at their very nice place, there is a goo energy in this place, nice and openmind people and i felt this energy every little minute I was there. Thanks a lot for this possibility and for the nice time and especially for the meditations, I could take part on.

Igor and his wife were very hospitable hosts...we were welcomed warmly into their home! It was great hearing about their future travels and listening to their amazing music!!!

Great russian traveler and hitch-hiker!
We traveled together 1 week in Laos (Dec, 2007).
This trip was very useful for me, I've got good traveling experience and trip skills.
Our first time meeting happened in Anton Krotov's hitch-hiking club(AFT)

Igor and his girlfriend hosted me in St. Petersburg. They were so hospitable, got me in town -altough i got slightly lost on the way they waited patiently for me - and then took me to their home. I really enyojed staying there, in a town far from the centre, and a very russian style home,too. They also cooked some delishious dinner for me.

Later, we hit the road together to Moskow where they showed me the russian style of travelling. I had lots of fun to travel with them, trying to avoid expensive travel on the elektritchka... and running, ruuuuuuunnnn!!!

I am happy that i was able to be their guest, would never have seen all these things without them. And they took really good care of me always helping me with my bad russian....I hope our paths will cross again and that i can be their host one day!

True traveller, explorer, person who's always looking for more. The one who goes his own way, choosing freedom from artificial and stupid rules. Igor is really friendly and relaxed, it's a pleasure to host such peole.

I Know Igor for a long time. We traveled together to middle east - Jordan, Syria and Turkey. This was one of the best of my trips, and i'll never forget it! And i don't know anybody else with whom i can feel myself so free.

It's cool to meet such a good man as Igor!!! I didn't meet such people yet. For one week staying in my place we became very close friends. And all of us like him. I trust Igor very much. He is VERY VERY FRIENDLY and OPEN guy, one of the persons who I can always rely on.

We've meeted in Saint-Petersburg in 2007. He is very interesting person.

Igor' is the best man in the world! May be only for me, but anyhow hi is very claver, handsome and openhearted. Hi is so interesting person, and he like to share his knowledge. We traveled together in Georgia, Turkey, Syria, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Thailand and Russia, of course).

Igor is the tallest guy I've met so far in my life .. and that amazed me! :-D He's kind, loyal and dedicated person :-)

I liked to listen to the music in his CD's he played in the kitchen. He's handy with accomodate tools to work on some tasks and the results was beautiful Chinese New Year decoration (I've got some video proofs uploaded on my YouTube , hehe ..). It was good meeting you and I've added you on YouTube too! :-)

Igor is handy person who always asked if there was anything he could help with..Like when i cooked and he kept asking me if he could do anything to help...

He shared to us alot of his travel experiences and we also had some good times playing music with G and from him i knew african musics..

So before i met Igor , i thought i had seen a lot of the world and had lot of stories to tell my kids someday..then he came and shattered all my misconceptions.. Meet this guy..hear his stories and adventures and you will be humbled. I respect this guy for all he has managed to do at this young age and he definately has inspired me to hitchhike the world.. kudos to him.

We was meet with Igor a lot of time - in Baikal lake, in Kirgizia, in Moscow - but every time I glad to meet this very positive, interesting and harismatic people!

We met in St Petersburg, in one of the white nights during June. He is a real traveller, and likes to travel great distances. Although he insisted, I could not stay at his house, because I had to turn back quickly in the early morning. Anyway, we had a nice chat about his travel plans and St Petersburg. It was very nice to meet him!
