With all those comments already being said, what else?
Such a great guy ! Even in a hectic period (moving out from his apartment) he welcomed and brought us to some good places (awesome party) ! I definitely wanna hang out again with him soon.

Eli was a great host, so funny, I really want to see him again in Boston. He has been awesome with me and my friend, he invited us to a party on saturday night and we went to lunch together! He's a great host

So awesome. I was blown away at his and the people he know's kindness.

 

Man, what good things can you say about Eli that hasn't already been said? Well, I'll tell you, they're all true. Eli is an amazing guy who immediately makes you feel welcome and excited to be in Boston.

He works A LOT but we were still able to work in some Shakespeare in the park, pizza, and a movie. He also gave me a mini tour of Beacon Hill that was pretty awesome.

This is definitely one of those hosting experiences that made me wish I could live in several places at once. My time with Eli and his roommates was incredible and I hope they'll come to LA and visit me soon!

Eli is just one of the amazing people you want to spend you whole day with and then some. He's very cool and relaxed and laid-back and just a gem of a guy. A motorcycle rider with a touch of caution that has the feel of a real world traveler. I look forward to having him over to my place in the future.

I stayed at Eli`s in Boston for two nights this summer. Unfortunatly he was busy working and we didn´t get the chance to spend too much time together. Still I can say that Eli is big fun and you should definetly try to meet up with him whenever you are in the great Boston area. Funny, talkactive,social and generous, what more can you ask for???

Eli is a very good guy. He is full of energy. We met him at 2am and he was still jumping and running all over the trainstation. I stayed with him for one night and he made me feel very comfortable. He's really generous and an easygoing person.

 

Wehn visiting Boston, Nora and I stayed in Brookline with Eli. Very nice house, all relaxing area with sitting on the doorstep and playing frisbee on the street. Eli is Mr. Socializer, I had a very good impression of him and he made us feel so welcome! Very good host. Would definately go there again. Too bad we didnt see the behive... Take care Eli.

 

Had a great time with Eli and his room mates! We didn't get to see much of them, but Eli was extremely helpful pointing us in the right direction for touring the city.

Eli and his roommates are exceptionally generous people. Eli will go out of his way to help you feel comfortable and welcomed. It was easy for me to get around Boston coming from their location in Brookline. Stay with them! You won't regret it.

Eli is a very nice guy and very easy going person. Even though our timetables never match he received me very well and I was very well treated. The people that share the room with him are awesome and I would love to have all of them in Sao Paulo - Brazil to a vacation. Hey are you guys still going to make that dinner party? There are friendly people, outgoing people, people who can put themselves in your shoes, and people with an engaging demeanor. Eli is all of these and I've never seriously used the term "people person," until now.

 

Everyone is right. Eli, his place, his generosity, his trust and his house mates are more than you could ever hope for. Visit this man, he will improve your life (or at least your experience of Boston!).

Eli is one of those strange people whose impetus to be hospitable is so strong and overwhelming that one has no choice to sit back and enjoy the ride. It's smooth, comfortable, and lined with custom-designed cocktails by one of Boston's best bartenders. Truly, this man is a giant of the couchsurfing world.

Eli and his roommates are great, even though we didn't get the oppotunity to spend time together. I hope we could meet again and learn to know one another. You are more than welcome in France!

 

Finn dragged me up to Boston to see Eli, who he promised was one of the coolest people ever. Not only is he super entertaining, but his roommates (and friends and roommates friends) were all loads of fun as well. There was pulled pork and the miracle of science and all sorts of weird surprises. Not only was there a seemingly endless supply of food (french toast! woohoo!) and beer, but he even let us sleep in his bed while he took the couch. That's love.

Every city and everybody needs an Eli. Happiest guy I've ever meet and loves to make new friends. He's no good at beer pong and I have the record to prove that. Climbs trees very well (don't believe his profile picture.) Makes a great nerd. Knows how to have a good time all the time. I had his shirt at in my hotel room for three months. No it's not like that.... "Your Mom" Can't wait to do it all over again!

 

Eli is a great guy, didn't see him for a while but I know he is a hardworking person where you can have a decent interesting conversation with. He is a legend because he can remember your name forever once he knows it ^^

 

Eli The Wise was a wonderful host, plenty of jokes, he likes listen and talk. We had great time hanging around with him and playing frisbee and bowling. He's also the factotum of one of the greatest restaurant in Boston. Last but not least he's a good guy and a friend. The only negative thing is that he maybe try to smother you with the cat and hide your body in the backyard... but don't worry you'll be with the company of others amazing couchsurfers corpses.

I had a wonderful experience staying in Boston with Eli. He's a great person, simply great. He likes talking, he likes listening to what you have to say, he's always ready to help you. He showed us the city walking and walking around all day long (even if it was his free day at work). He's a fantastic fresbee player, he always play jokes and he likes having fun. I found a new friend in him. So an advice..if you have the chance to stay with him..do it! You will enjoy your trip much more! Thank you Eli, I'll miss you!

 

Sure, stay with Eli and tour around Boston. But if you leave without getting to know the man himself, you'll have missed out on one of the best things about Boston. Man I miss that guy.

Absoutely awesome guy. Generous, fun loving and great energy . Totally hooked us up despite a full house that week. From chilling with his parents to partying with his friends it completely made our experience in beantown.

Eli is so awesome and nice that he makes the words seem inadequate. He welcomed me into the Boston CS community with such open arms (literally- he's a hugger) that I felt like we've been friends for years.

Eli rocks! I heard all about him before I met him, and he lived up to his reputation! His wit and humor will keep you entertained for hours!

Eli is an incredible guy. I can't picture anyone having anything negative to say about him, he is very friendly and open to everyone. He is the type of a person who knows everyone and is not shy about introducing people if they do not.

Let's just say this... I knew there were great people out there but I had NO idea that there were Eli Barnes' out there! He never stops amazing me... he always has a positive attitude, can have a conversation with anyone... literally anyone, he is always smiling, is a complete goof-ball, great listener, never says anything negative about anyone (which is refreshing)...

Eli Eli Eli ... what to say? For starters I woke up this morning with an "E" on the back of my hand courtesy of his favorite pen.

Eli is truly one of the most fantastic people I have ever met. Ever. Really. He's the type of person who says "tell me about your day" or "I'm glad you're here" and means it. Sincerity is his middle name.

Eli reminds me of a line from a song from The Muppet Movie (don't laugh): "There's not a word yet for old friends who've just met." You meet him and feel you've known him your whole life.

I guess what I'm trying to say is I love you, Eli. You are one of the reasons I am glad to be staying in Boston a bit longer.

What a great guy, who is so nice people think he's not being real, but he really is that nice. Met after a year's buildup and a couple phone conversations when he surprised our friends in valencia by appearing on another continent. felt like i knew him already. can't wait to see him in boston. big hug.

 

Eli's personality and energy is refreshing. It isn't too often I meet people like Eli who is seemingly always relaxed, happy, and outgoing. He is fun to be around and genuinely cares about what you have to say and he puts forth the effort to get to know each person he encounters.

I highly recommend talking with Eli if you are in the Boston area and at a CS event. If you have the opportunity to couch surf with Eli I guarantee you that you are in good hands.

 

He's me in Boston. Best friends before we even met,i truly wish he was everywhere I am. There is nothing to say that hasn't been said about him, he is simply the reason why couchsurfing is so amazing! One of my biggest heartbreak of my surfing life, this guy rocks.

Met and hi-fived Eli at the weekly gathering in Boston. It takes about two-minutes and you'll feel like you've known him for a couple of weeks. The next day he introduced me to a friend of his and we ate some delicious Greek pizza!

Eli is a very handsome and friendly fella! He always lets me inspect his food, extremely generous. He and I share a unique skill, we can sleep ANYWHERE. On the floor, on a table, on the stairs, these are all great places to nap!

 

Eli is just something else! His wonderful heart, personality, sense of humour, inclusiveness and just one of the most genuine people I have ever met. He is such an ambassador for life and goodness that far surpasses the wonders of the couchsurfing interface. I watched him in his home over a number of occasions with always the same welcome and genuine good spirit towards everyone he met! He is no angel though just about one of the best people people you could host or surf with!! Thank you Eli for all your kindness and great moments!

Every time anyone mentioned Eli in Valencia, their eyes would glaze over and a fond smile would cross their face... so it was fantastic to finally meet the man himself when he suprised one all and sundry in Valencia for Fallas.

He had a lot to live up to, but Eli definitely deserves all the hype surrounding him. He is an extremely kind hearted person, easy to get along with and a lot of fun to hang out with. Seeing the smiles on everyone's faces (including a fruit lady at the market) when he made his unexpected return to VLC shows just how much he means to so many people. He is an excellent swimmer, washing machine removalist and an all round great guy. I look forward to seeing him again, or being surprised by him in the not too distant future.

 

I met him during the Fallas-Festival 2008 in Valencia. I was staying with his friends when he showed up very surprisingly.
I liked him from the first moment on and enjoyed the time with him so much. He is a very good listener and interested in what u have to say, which becomes more and more rare in our society. I felt very comfortable around him. If u like either just fooling around or having a descent conversation Eli is a good address, as he is a master in both. A very "Thoughtful Clown", would be a good decription, at least that is how I got to know him and I'm sorry that we didn't have more time, but I already realized that we get along pretty well and we both are very active people and like climbing and jumping, which is always a plus. What else can I say... I hope I have to chance to see him again soon and will get to know him better.

One of the most enjoyable parties I've ever been to was thrown by Eli. Greatest surprise theme ever. I expected some small gathering of 8 to 12 people, and he had the place packed to the gills with what had to be at least 75 people from all over the world. An absolute blast to hang out with.

ELI and his roommates hosted me for a week. Eli is the kind of people that everybody want to couchsurf with him. He is an intelligent and open-minded guy. I loved to talk with him and to cook a great brunch with many potatoes ! He made me feel at home straight away… A wonderful host !

I met Eli when he was looking at my apartment almost a year ago. He was actually the first person to mention couchsurfing to me. He told me a little bit about the great time he had couchsurfing around europe, meeting amazing people and experiencing the cultures from the inside. Needless to say, I was intrigued. Eli got me started with the couchsurfing phenomenon and I cant say thank you enough.

I first met Eli at his crazy surprise CS party a few nights ago. I walked in and barely said, "Hey, are you Eli?" before he gave me a delicious brownie and directed me to the beer. Totally cool, friendly, and open guy throughout the night. It would be a sad mistake not to meet Eli when in Boston.

 

eli is one of the most exuberant people i have ever encountered. he is the essence of couch surfing and i am incredibly happy that he has taken the roll of boston's ambassador.

 

After first meeting Eli and the rest of the Boston gang of CSers in the summer of 2007 for our Boston Invasion from NY, to a couple of surprise visits of his to NY since then, and then our surprise crashing of his party in March this year, I finally got a chance to get to know him better when we rode the chinatown bus back to NY from Boston.
Anyway, he throws a great party, is always welcome to meeting new people and being the best host he can be, a true embodiment of what the CS spirit is all about. And this man is also wacky and silly like the rest of my friends, so he is definitely welcome back to NY anytime he wishes to surprise us here, and thanks so much for throwing a great party and hosting 11 unexpected guests from NY afterwards!!

Eli is incredible, and the many great things said about him here on CS still isn't enough, you just have to meet him! He's one of the friendliest and nicest persons I've ever met. His attitude and openness has been an inspiration to me. He goes above and beyond to include people and make them feel comfortable. It was an honor to get to hang out with Eli for the short amount time I did. I can't wait to see him again.

Eli hosted me and Sheena in September, for a whole week! we were supposed to stay only for a few days, but the house was so much fun (with Eli, Mike, Aaron, George...) that we had no choice but to stay and party with them! :)

Eli was so accomodating to us! It was fun to hang out with the other couchsurfers also! If you're going through Boston, this is the place to stay! ; )

 

Eli and all the boys in his house were the best thing about Boston. They let me stay in their spare room at short notice, made me feel welcome, safe, and completely transformed my experience of Boston (and New York) ELI IS FABULOUS.....there is no better word to describe him.

Eli is just really fun to be with! He makes perfectly this I-don't-know-face à la Ross, he would fall asleep with one sock and jump into the snow! He doesn't take himself to seriously and life just as it is! Knock knock I'm coming at the end of April to Boston, dude!

 

Eli made us feel at ease when we made it to the weekly gathering in Boston in January 2008. Knew he was a nice person, as he would have let me surf his couch after a weekend full of CS activities last summer but ... I ended up dead tired in Salem instead. Hope to see him back someday.

i was finally on the receiving end of the famous barnes hospitality, and it lived up to and surpassed the expectation. eli was a new year's eve rock star, dividing his time between going back to the scene of the party [crime] to help clean and getting back to his house in time to cook eggs and bacon for the hordes of people who'd ended up at his house.

when he's not engaged as a superhero, eli is warm, funny, self-deprecating, and as prone to falling asleep as all of his other references suggest. if you pass through boston (or new york, or philadelphia, or pretty much any city in a reasonable radius from wherever he happens to be), don't miss him.

Lovely Eli warmed NYC with his presence, and boy is it cold now that he's gone! I could tell immediately, from the first glance at his email, that we were clearly good friends from a previous life. What a character, I had a blast partying with this party animal :) This guy gets really happy with he camera...I didn't give him crap for all the pictures he took of me, as I hate the camera but he sure knows how to to throw one hell of a party...great times! UPDATE: One of the greatest CSers of Boston I know, always a pleasure to be around.

 

Eli and I immediately shared in our inherit awesomeness ;-) He helped make the New York invasion come across perfectly and kept the partying and general merry making going all weekend. Can't wait til he returns the favor and invades NYC :-)

Favor returned and now we (NYC as a whole) demands that Eli move here. It was great having him join in with us like an old friend and share in the inherent craziness that is NYC. So you need to get ready to move, we might just abduct you if you take too long.

Even without knowing Eli all that well, I suspect all self-proclaimed "people persons" wish they were Eli ;)

 

As many people as there are on this page who left references for Eli, there's not much left to say about him. All I can say is, he is at least as awesome as myself...yeah and Georgia's capital is T'bilisi

 

It was so great meeting Eli! he is super easy to talk to, never an awkward moment (haha remember the tie comment?) and such a nice guy! He even offered to drive me to the airport at 5:00 a.m. when I wasn't even staying at his house! I hope he comes to visit SF soon! As you can see I ended every sentence with an exclamation mark... good sign? I think so :)

Eli and all his housemates are wonderful individuals. I was in a bit of a pickle, and they took me in for a week and I had a fabulous time. I felt completely at home with them. They also have the coolest cat in the world. :)

I had the unquestioned pleasure of joining Madelyn to Elis Halloween party, and Eli was a great host to a fin party. Too bad the pigs(obligatory anarchist slang) felt like we had too much fun and broke it up. A sure sign for the party loving CSer that this is the guy to approach when going to Boston.

 

Okay so Eli appreciates my taste in beer so I have to leave a reference :-) I had a great time meeting Eli, and hanging out with him at his house party. He is an amazing and gracious host and spends a lot of time making sure everyone is comfortable. I dare say, he's the perfect host!! He's always throwing stuff at me :)

Eli came through for me and hooked me up with a friend of his who hosted me in Boston for several days. He's really fun and energetic, very social and extremely hospitable. He even brought me snacks when he came to find me in the cold when I was stranded in Cambridge.

 

Eli is boundlessly energetic and laugh-out-loud funny. He has a wide range of facial expressions which you will see if he gets his hands on your camera. Guaranteed if there's something going on, Eli is there (with 20 of his closest friends). If only he could remember my name...;-)

 

I surfed his couch in Boston, and although he wasn't even home his roomates took great care of me. These guys don't just talk about it.. they live couch surfing. If you are forutnate enough to be able to stay with them... you will not be dissapointed.

 

Eli is a Couchsurfing God. But everyone knows that by now by seeing all of his references. It was a great night at the couchsurfing party and his roommates are all really excited participants in CSing which made the experience especially welcoming and enjoyable. Eli is a very conscientious host who ensures that you are comfortable and know everybody around yourself. Eli's apartment actually has a room and mattress for Couchsurfers, what dedication!!

Eli is one of the nicest people you're likely to meet. He has opened his home on several occasions not only to surfers, but to drunken revelers as well!

Another wonderful Bostonian (I guess really from dirtydirty ATL). This guy truly is a professional conversationalist - he could keep a conversation going with a brick, and it wouldn't even seem one sided. Unless he's sleeping - he's not as sociable then. I didn't surf with him, but our paths crossed a few times in Boston, and I'm a better person because of that.

 

Eli hosted a great shindig for Boston CSers/CSers in Boston! His warm attitude and outgoing personality made walking into a house full of strangers not in the least bit daunting. (Or could that be the wine?) Hope we can cross paths more in the future!

Eli hosted me (at last minute) when I was almost given up of my trip to Boston (he had a lot of things to do, even, he hosted me). He is the coolest guy on CS. I have no words to express myself. Everything everybody said before about him, is completely true. He is the perfect CS Ambassador!

Eli is such a great guy! So full of life and energy, exuding with laughter and merriment. Wow, he's like a hobbit! =) I look forward to seeing more of Eli around!

I joinded Eli and his flatmate for a drink in Boston when I was staying with Erin. Few days later, I meet all these people again for an ultimate frisbee game and a crazy poker night !! I could tell by just looking into his eyes that Eli is a lot of fun. Although we didn't get chance to talk much his reputation proceded him. More than one person told me he was a great guy before we were even introduced.

eli is a crazy energetic guy who works all the time but somehow makes enough time for his friends. he was incredibly friendly and outgoing and helped me get my french visa when i was in boston. unfortunately we didn't get to hang out much, but that will probably change in the future. on learning i was going to paris, he also gave me his paris guidebook! eli is an awesome person in general, and i am in the fanclub.

I can never get any one on one time, because this guy is so busy, but I've always had a ball chatting him up at parties. Know the saying 'Can you feel the love'? Well, you'll never see Mr. Barnes slow down or tire of passing on his joy for life, positive energy and passion for people. With out a doubt, Eli is the BEST guacamole and salsa chef and the perfect host. I mean, what else can you say about a guy who takes into consideration when apartment hunting an extra room for couch surfers?!?! Fantastic!

 

Eli is my amb colleague from boston. And I was amazed to meet him, the incredibly handsome man at a cafe. And he made me wanna stay one more night in Boston! And I freaked out about it. And when I realized my flight was already set for another date. So fate made me stay longer ;) It was meant to be. Too bad it was still short thou. I have been living in Boston for five days so far and Eli and I have hung out on four of them. First at a CS bar party, then at a CS BBQ, then some ultimate Frisbee, then a wonderful dinner at his place. I'll be staying in Boston till Sep. 5th, so if we keep this ratio up we'll be seeing each other 26 and a half days out of 33. Sounds good!
Seriously he has helped make my first days here in Boston a pure delight. A very welcoming and warm guy.

 

Eli (his last name is Torah, and he's not Jewish!) is ooooozing with awesomeness! I was very tempted to put him in my backpack, steal him from Boston CSers and ride the Fung Wah bus to spread his craziness in NYC! He showed us where Martha Stewart used 2.5M eggwhites to build a house and tour of the National Library of Addictions. Boston CSers must be very, very proud to have this amazing guy. Eli is an outstanding character, outgoing, always making jokes and making people instantly at ease, but also an host who really cares about his guests. I still can't understand how a man can eat so much for breakfast and be able to run that much one hour after, but ultimate freesbie was great, and I am so grateful for all his help in organizing the Boston invasion. The red pill may be bitter sometimes, but you truly make the world a better place :)

Eli's become the heart and soul of our growing Boston CSing community and indeed Boston could not have asked for a better representative! besides...he has this amazing talent of making everyone feel comfortable in his company after only a short conversation. I met Eli multiple times in Mikes flat. He is a really nice guy, and smart also: from what I know he seems to know a lot about sharks, southern Spain, Quebec City and how many drinks it takes to sleep in really fast :) Seriously: that guy is cool and you wanna meet him!

He is my very favorite type of person - intelligent, adventurous, inquisitive and open-hearted. I don't know about you, but when I see him every day of our friendship that we have not spent in contact sinks to the bottom and we rest comfortably on the surface of all of those wonderful moments that we have spent talking, wrestling, stealing from the rich and giving to the poor. Unlike so many people these days, Eli is 100% engaged in the moment that he's in, and has an uncanny ability to lend you that sort of focus if you need it. Never a dull moment...Viva la Eli!

Eli is awesome. I had a few worries about logistics coming into Boston and Eli was so accomdating and my stay wi Boston was fun filled and worry free! He is a great host, an interesting person, and just a cool guy. And his friends are pretty tight as well. If I ever met somebody who didn't enjoy staying with Eli, I would say WTF.

Eli is amazing!! He went out of his way to make me feel comfortable and at home in Boston, and I could not have had a better stay. He is such a good person. His imagination and sense of humor are like no other. ;) If the world was truely created the way Eli imagines it, we'd be living in an impossibly magical--and tricky!-- place where everyone was always extremely well fed.(ask him about the bean/rice/jalapeno masterpiece.) I guess what it comes down to is, anyone who doesn't appreciate this guy should be buried in a hole in the desert.

Eli Barnes hosted me at his plush pad in Boston for nearly a week in April 2007, and he is a wicked awesome guy and a first class host, who totally tricked out my weekend - Eli took me to a bluegrass gig, introduced me to loads of his friends and the local couchsurfing community, an independent film festival, and nearly to the Boston Arboreum. All of my CS experiences have been totally positive, but Eli demands an " Overall Experience" label better than "extremely positive"!

 

Eli is WICKED fly! He was kind enough to let me tag along with his friends, other couch surfers, for an evening. Eli has a huge appetite for life, paired with an incredibly optimistic attitude. You must hang out with Eli if you get the chance. He's fun, laid back, and a great conversationalist. He thinks he's funny...just go along with it.

Never will you meet someone quite the same as Eli. Eli is simply the greatest, kindest, most loving individual a person can hope to meet. After spending months stuck to his side in valencia then travelling through morocco, portugal and france together I am now left in the disastrous post eli zone. Eli is one of the rare people who upon meeting I knew/hoped would be a life-long friend. A special bond was forged that has left me wearing my I want Eli back t-shirt 24/7. I guess there's not much new I could tell you about Elpi, considering the amount of references other people left. Still, here goes my tiny droplet in the ocean of praising :D Elpi is awesome, even though he doesn't have a face of his own (everybody should have that). I love his subtle humor. DO NOT miss out meeting him when hitting Boston, even though that would be rather difficult anyway, as his apartment seems to be the official CouchSurfing hub of this place. Even though he couldn't offer me a couch, he was very helpful by supplying info about Boston, offering to meet up for a drink, and offering advise about my profile (I'm a newbie afterall).

Eli is one of the most genuine and fun guys I have ever met. We shared a incrediable weekend in Boston meeting other couch surfers and generally having a unreal experience. This guy is a gem among pebbles!

Eli threw a wonderful get together for Boston area couchsurfers. He is a great and friendly guy and he's a lot of fun to be with, so if you have the opportunity to get to know him I highly recommend it!

Though I've never surfed his couch, I know Eli takes on multiple surfers at a time and for extended periods of time...promising an entertaining and enriching experience all while he's still getting to know his new city!

Eli surpassed all of our expectations for a host. Staying with him and his two housemates was the highlight of our spring break trip to Boston. Eli was amazingly friendly and went out of his way to encourage our adventures. ...So generous! We were so impressed by his hospitality and support of the couchsurfing adventure.

My bf and I stayed at Eli's place for one night and we wish we had stayed longer! Eli and his roommate were very nice and welcoming, and they have a great appartment. The location was perfect, the bed was comfortable... truly a great first couchsurfing experience! Don't hesitate to stay with them if you ever go to Boston :)

Wow! What a cool guy... I was hoping that Eli would stay with me; in fact, me and my friends all fought over him, but in the end he was the first CS guest to stay with Lieven... you couldn't wish for a better introduction to Couchsurfing.
Eli's a great guy who seizes life by the horns and runs with it. We hit it off straight away, and the few days we spent together seemed all too brief when it was time for him to leave.

 

Well... after a bumpy start where his phone died and he was unable to be on time, he was finally able to change everyhing back by being a great host, a very nice talker (ok, the fact that he brought me a shiraz bottle or wine as an apology also counted) and i had a nice time with him, his roommate, and his current couchsurfer! I told him to visit me in mexico, we'll see!

i will always remenber that night as TERRIBLE! Bingo just sucks. behind that we just have a great time together.

Mr.Eli Barnes is a man rare qualities that you just dont find in to many people anymore. He is kind, funny or should i say hilarious, resourceful, funny, smart, a decent frisbee player, and someone who can hold his liquor (not), knows how to speak another language that i cannnot, funny, just a well rounded person. He was also so kind to allow me to join for a small period of time through his european traveling tour, where we traveled 5 weeks with each other and met some amazing people and gave me an experience that i will never forget. I prefer the Eli's!

My First Encounter of the Eli Kind was in Bordeaux. Had a great time hanging out with him and hoped to see him again. So I did. I just finished surfing with him (Oct 06) in Valencia. He really looks like David Schwimmer (Ross in Friends) but even more friendly ! He really knows a couple of bad jokes (and I love them) and has a great sense of humour.

Ok well the first person to tell me about Eli was Monica in Barcelona and I had been hearing great things about Eli ever since. All I knew was he was a guy I had to meet,and guess what... source of inspiration. Eli spent some days in Paris, staying with some of my neighbours, also CS'ers. Sounds complicated, anyway. When I first met him, there was immediately a spark (I don't know if I'm saying this the right way:)). I wanted to host him, but one of my neighbours was faster:). I think we have a lot of the same interests. It's a pitty we didn't spent much time together, but that's life, no? You meet awesome people, but you have to say goodbye a little bit later. He's doing a great thing for the moment, has contacts all over the world, and becomes every day 2 years older with all this international experiences. I can only say you have to meet this guy, and then discover the rest yourself!

Eli Dancer. He's a social genuius. He can make anyone feel at home and comfortable. He´s so charming in Spanish I hear all the ladies say! But in English he´s more I´d say eloquent, educated and insightful. Take him in wherever he goes.

It was nice to talk with him and he was an interesting person. Hope to meet you some day for longer, somewhere!

Eli, Eli, Eli... what a great, genuine, funny...very funny, honest and special man. We've met in Bordeaux for Angela's birthday, in Roma in the Vatican's museum line and in the metro of Athens. After that, we decided to go to the Greek Island together. We rented some quads, discovers some great beachs, had a loads of good laughs. When you travel with Eli, it's impossible to get bored. The guy is a magical box. Always find something to make the moment special, unique. I'll miss you. Good thing we are only 5 hours driving away from each other. See you, in Montreal or Boston:)

The time I have spent with him has never failed to be full of magic (or almost pant-wetting laughter!) I love him to bits, I cried when he left and, well... the bastard looks better in my bra than I do! the unknown awaits! On a European adventure with an open mind and a genuine curiosity of who he meets, Eli has re-inspired me and reminded me why I'm travelling myself with his enthusiastic charge into the unknown of Europe.
We met randomly in chat one day and then he contacted me months later to stay with me in Toulouse. Then quite some time later he surprised me for my birthday in Barcelona!! It was without a doubt the nicest present I have gotten in a very long time!! I miss you already man!
He's a very easy guest to host, and a great guy for both a serious, and a ridiculous conversation. He has spirit and should have one hell of a story to tell when this is all over! Keep me posted!

Amazing pal. He didn't hesitate to come all the way from Valencia to surprise us with a party. Role model for those who forgot how to live because the everyday dance of getting a job, pay a mortage or a rent, get married, have children and all the crap that society seems to make you belive its mandatory. Keep up the dream alive.

Eli his the type of guy you wanna met.. really! We were both host at the same time at Matus house in Bratislava! He's so energetic, full of life, enjoying everything, sympathic... so we met in Vienna after!! haha !
