When you are here, make yourself at home especially in the kitchen (I don't like cooking). There are shops (Tescos+Lidl+Supervalu) 5 mins walk away. You are welcome to buy/bring your own food or share whatever I have. No gifts required, but I do like vodka so if you can get some duty-free I'll re-reimburse you. The odd housekeeping job is very appreciated but not required, I don't like housework either :-D

I expect that your purpose is to explore the area and meet people, therefore you will not hang around the house all day.
If I have time I can chat and show you around but when I'm busy we will probably only meet at around meal times which is usually between 6 and 8. My daughter and I often eat at different times depending on our schedules so there maybe no "meal time".
 CS Dublin has created a CouchSurfing Zone at the Elegance Bar - for random meetings with other CSers and CS gatherings.

Personal DescriptionHi, I was born in London and my family moved to Cork when I was 2. My one daughter (DOB 14/11/96) was born in Cork and we moved to Tramore, Waterford when she was 2. After working full-time before my daughter then part-time odd jobs afterwards I decided to go to college as a mature student. After juggling parenthood and college for 7 years I decided to take some time out and have fun couchsurfing - mostly hosting. 2yrs later - I'm now back working and am very busy with it, I need to earn more so I can go couchsurfing myself :)

How I Participate in CSI have hosted, surfed, attended and organized events. Created groups, emailed random people telling them of groups they maybe interested in. I meet CSers wherever I go to help members to be active and connect with people. I hope to help make the world a better place by introducing more people to couchsurfing where they can make great friendships and travel more at low cost.

May 17 Positive It was truly an Irish experience staying at Karen's place. She seems to know the whole town & even have her friend show me the sights when she's too busy herself. On top of that she had me do a radio talk show. But cooking for & meeting her friends was another pretty fun thing to do.

May 11 Positive Karen hosted me and my friend Laura for 3 days. She was really nice and so helpful when we went from her place hitchhiking..she drive us to good spot and than also managed that we met one her friend in Kilkenny,who also went in our direction,so we get lift for one part of way :)

May 10 Positive Karen is a very nice person, relaxed and positive. Me and my friends stayed at her place for 3 days, she was our first host ever, so thanks to her we have a positive attitude towards the idea of couchserving. We felt very comfortable at her house. She also took us out to an irish pub which was a great experience. in 2 words - great host!

Apr 8 Positive Big thanks Karen for hosting me! Karen's place is spacious and kitchen is good for cooking and hanging out. It was also good when there were other surfers around and we could hang out together. I enjoyed having dinner with Karen, her friends, and Shiv. Me and Shiv probably weren't the best chefs but still we had eatable food. Karen was organizing a pillowfight in Tramore and it was great fun even though children were vicious.

Apr 3 Positive Had a nice sleep at her place and hit the road again this morning.Nobody in Ireland have hosted more people as far as I know.Has chickens in her back yard which is a good use of the space.
