WARM and COOL at te same time, HAPPY and POSITIVE, SMART and WELCOMING: Ivana is someone you immediately FEEL you like, someone whose ENERGY embraces you from the very firt smile making you immediatey think: "Wow, I found a new friend!"
She hosted me in her beautiful N.Y. apartment and we had a woderful time eating, spying naked people from the window (buy a binocular!), dancing, talking, walking around the city and laughing with her nice and funny friends.
People like Ivana, not Berlusconi, are what Italy is all about: thank you for rapresenting italians so well around the world!

Ivana is a sweetheart. We had a great time at Central Park Picnic and then more conversation at her place. She willingly dressed up for my Pretend You're Rich Party and we had a lovely time dancing together. She is not only smart, but also very kind. I am glad she will be in NYC another month so we can share more wonderful times together! And I hope to see you in Italy, too!

It really was a pity she couldn't host me in her CS's flat! It would have been fun for sure! Anyway, we met for a while on Saturday night and I had a great time with her and her friend Hernán. Unexpectedly, we ended up in a Social Center dancing and listening live Jazz music and it was really great!
If I ever go to Milan, I'll definitely try to be hosted by her again, coz I think she lives in one of the few real "CS apparments" out there. Grazie & ciao!

Positive attitude, vast education, nice and polite, get acquainted in a blink of an eye and was a short but intense experience! Highly recommended for everyone, morons excluded!

I was hosted by Valeria, Ivana's flatmate but in fact surfing The Common Welth of the Trio: Valeria, Ivana and Ivan. I had just a few chats with Ivana, a few but very enjoyable :) and almost always under some nice circumstances provided by a glass of wine, plate of pasta or a piece of tiramisù.


P.S Ivana is the first milanese that I met in Milan and should ever have you any negative stereotype concerning milanesi the best way to get rid of it is to come to Milan and meet her!

 

Ivana was a blast! We shared a wonderful sunny canal-side lunch and then a stroll through Milan. I was laughing so much that my mouth hurt! She is such a beautiful open and warm person I know we will meet again soon. Thanks for sharing your slice of Milan with me!

I have been happy to host Ivana during three days. She came with me to many events and I was surprised to see how she became intergated so easily in the Parisian Cs communauty. Everybody liked her. She cooked us a risotto for the kitchen party but we ate and finished it before the kitchen party however She cooked there la pasta !!
Ivana you are benevenuta whenever you want then we will drink a minth tissana while watching the trains passed through the window.

Ivana was my first host in Couchsurfing. She, and her flatmates Ivan and Valeria were perfect hosts, taking care of me, cooking some pasta and rissoto, giving tips for Milano and introducing me a lot of new and nice people. Also the time at the house was fun, with good chattings at evening and being attacked by dangerous mutant ballons from outter space while sleeping.
I'm sure i will meet her soon again in Milano.

 

I have met Ivana at two CS meetings until now (hope for more to come), and right from the start she showed me a good time with the Milan CS group.

She is a great girl, who make you feel welcome, and who represents all the best of couchsurfing (sharing stories, having a great time and being open to everybody).

Ivy is the sweetest italian girl. I met her when me and Mark we did our road trip together. after coming from amsterdam and going to Meerhout, a small town where we were going to Groezrock fest. we went to pick her up on this subway station and she was very shy, but has the days were passing by she revealled to be a very funny and happy person.
so there we were, a portuguese girl, an italian one and a guy from belgium. and CS had joined us all together.

i ended sharing my tent with her, so we basically tent surfed together. and when we found out that it was her 1st festival we were so surprised how she was going and how well she was feeling, since it was an Emo/Punk fest.

well we ended up having 4 great days together.
i how to see her soon, 'cause i haven't forgot her invitation to visit her in Milan.

Ivy and her flat mates where great hosts. They gave me a very comfy place to sleep and were very charming. Ivy even took the time to have breakfast with me every day, gave me good advices for sight seeing and even helped me with my train reservations. They took me to a CS meeting and introduced me to lots of new friends. I had a great time with them! And I love my new nick name :D

Ivana is super. We had a lunch together with some friends (my Bro, Fede, Demetrio, Caia) and she was absolutely perfect. Good talker, good listener, very relaxed.. sometimes you have guests in your house and you simply don't think they are guests but old friends sleeping on your couch. Ivana is the kind of person that gives you this impression.. polite and ready to laugh, curious, smiling, dancer, eater (uh...se magna...). I think she could be a perfect "friend for travel" ;-) We'll meet again and again!

 

Ivana stayed with us for 2 days during the "Festival Off", we spent a very nice time with her. She made the best "Spaghetti Bolognaise" we ever eat in our life, we had chat about everything and nothing . We shared a cold dancing july night ... a tango show in a festival ... in the wind with a dirty blanket, pulls, and socks ... We looked like penguins in a snow storm at the end of the show !
Go to see Ivana in Milano, she's actually involved on CS and a really nice, friendly and open-minded person ... I promess to come in Milano when the duomo will be restored !!! let me know Ivana !

I stayed with Ivanna and her roommates in their lovely Milanese flat. They made my stay in Milan much more fun, interesting and comfortable. If I didn't know she was Italian I would have mistaken her for French, which I guess I am not the only one who has. She is very good at finding useful things- while I was there we found some balcony furniture- and I'm sure she will help you if you need something. She says she is lazy, but I think she was very fun and laid-back!

..She is very open-minded girl ! Very funny and crazy..and she prefers cement, smog and cars instead of green, nature, lakes...:) LOVELY !!!

IVANA MA SOEUR DE COEUR!

The always laughing and smiling girl! Always the good word, speaks French with a non Italian accent (kind of German one instead :-D), that's fun!! And she's one of the rare female specimen who deals with IT stuffs.

I really feel good with her, we did a lot of aperitives, concerts, etc. together, it was always cool, I also teach her French and English, and she teaches me English and Italian :-D!

I definitely had UNFORGETTABLE moments with her and thanks to her!

I really recommend you to surf/let surf her/your couch!!! And if you're lucky enough, she'll choose you as a surfer! Allez Malherbe ^^. ciao sista ;-)

 

Ivana is that kind of girl that you couldn't never hate, she's very kind and polite and she always want to share her experiences with the others. She really like to stay with other people, she has lot of cool idea and she can cook you delicious rice dishes! =) I'm sure that we'll really have fun together, we just began last weekend!

Ivana hosted me for a concert and was very patient to wait very late in the evenining until its end!
She is positive, always smiling and very friendly. In spite of our different temperament and age, I guess we believe in a similar attitude to human beings, based on mutual respect and care. Ivana has a smile that lights up a room. She is joyous, kind and friendly, not to mention fashionable! I'd like to talk to her more and hear about what her life in Milano is like.

This girl is fantastic, so much fun, so much energy, and one of those rare people who can entirely be themselves...it was great to meet her and her awesome housemates in Milano!

Ivana is a brilliant host! We had such a fantastic time staying with her, and discovering the beautiful Milan and surrounding towns.

Together we've all done some site-seeing and protest-parade watching, eaten gelato, enjoyed a delicious dinner cooked by Ivana (I'm jealous of your natural cooking skills, hehe...), had a Milan-style aperitivo including lots of great free food, visited Bergamo and Trezzo before going to a free music festival in the middle of nowhere, ate delicious pizza from her local pizzeria (3,50€ for a huge pizza!), walked along the canal, ate yummy Milanese risotto, discovered the joys of tea (they have a very large collection of teas), and had long relaxed breakfasts.

Thanks a lot Ivana. :-D You're awesome, and so is your city. Come visit us in Nice.

Ivana was a wonderful host! Thanks to her, we were able for 3 days to experience the Milanese way of life, or more exactly, the Ivana's way of life, which includes great aperitivos, free concerts & tea tasting :-)

Ivana! She is great italian girl! Milano Group made an invasion in Barcelona for a few days, an she was in the group! Was just great, she is so nice, kind... and quite and crazy at the same time :D ! What can I say of Ivana and Valeria? They have been like an angel come from the sky. Ivana is my flatmate, always very nicely with me; affectionate, calm, agreeable. She always laughs with my jokes and dumbs. Ivana has created the "herbal tea moment" and we sit down in our living room in the evening and we chat about the day. It's a very relaxing moment. After so much time living together I can say we have become a small family. Everyone different, everyone equal.

After months of really nice and funny meetings in Milano we finally joined an Invasion together. 5 sunny days full of playing and relaxing at the beach, tapas, Calçots and definitely a lot of fun and party in BCN. The Invasion was so great, from the meeting at the airport till the goodbye. And not to forget, thumps up for her bcn hairstyle!
Even after a little accident she did not lose her smile, really amazing!
Really, Ivana is one of the sweetest and open-minded girls I met in Milano, it is always a pleasure to speak with her and meet her for a beer @ fridas!

 

I have shared a lot of experiences with her and now we are cs-flatmates!
Upd: I feel I know Ivana quite good after some months living together.
We've quite different personalities, but we've also many similar/complementary aspects. We've spent so many hilarous moments together as she can be very very funny! Sometimes she could seem rude( as very fist impression), but actually she's very sincere and direct and this is something I've learned to appreciate very much in Ivana.
But the feature I like the most in Ivana is the particular caring attitude she shows me when I'm feeling sad or needing help. Some night chats, a relaxing infusion and her risotto have cheered me up a lot of times:) I'm glad we're flatmates and friends!

Thanks to the Italian invasion of Barcelona I had the chance to meet her, a honest and a very warm girl. The following week I had already decided to going to Milan and she hosted me openly. We work in the same area, have similar music tastes, enjoyed a concert together, talked quite a lot about life and general and made a long lists of things to do and to see when she comes back to Barcelona... which I'm really looking forward to, also to thank her for being such a great host!

I had met her before but really had the chance to get to know her in Barcelona. She's so interesting and well traveled and has a whole lot of stories to tell, but she's also very helpful and kind. And has excellent taste in music :-) See you soon and thanx for your help!

I met Ivana one year ago, but I had the chance to experience her cheerful personality only recently, 'cause I haven't met her for a long time. She's incredibly funny and spontaneous, sociable and talkative. We had fun taking "artistic" pictures with our beautiful hats! We've definetely to see more often!

 

It was my luck to meet Ivana! She is good-looking, wonderful, kind and smart girl. She is very open and friendly. She is real Friend. Even more, she was a guide and protector. So many difficulties and obstacles were overcome with her help and support. Her care let me forget about problems and just have a wonderful time, be ready to meet Milano and its people  We spent incredible time with Ivana, her friends, guest and family  With Ivana and her guest Miku from Finland, we were a small friendly company. We spent time with night walks and night talks. We eat many picas and pasta made by Ivana. We had so many tasty teas during serious discussions and funny jokes. It was a real pleasure to share this time with so great people! I really hope, in future I will have a chance to visit Milano and meet Ivana again 

Ivana is a perfect guide. She knows every street in Milan. If you are with her it is impossible to lost! She is a very nice person and she presents bunchs of flowers :)

 

we met through HC, ivana had to catch one of the first busses to the airport. so we spent this "waitingtime", together with others. though it was hard to find a café that was open all night, we had a lot of fun, waiting got another meaning now ! i highly trust ivana, i am so happy to find her back in CS

Ivana was Valerias roommate and they hosted us in Milan . We really had a great time with both of them. Eventhough we only spend a little time with Ivana as she was already out travelling on her own in Spain... She left a really positive impression. Simon and I came in to milano with only a day notice I think and these girls put us up and gave us a nice meal of pasta. just what we needed after riding from Torino.

we talked about food and mountians and got to learn about a few places in Italy we unfortunatly couldn't make it to.

Ivana and her roomates graciously took tim and I in when they both had to work early the next day.

We shared a great meal and then stayed up late drinking tea and busting out the maps, where Ivana totally hooked us up by showing ups bike paths out of town and to the lakes north of town (thanks, btw/!)

Unfortunately we were only in town for a night and didnt get to spend more time, but lovely hosts and a great experience nonetheless!

Ivana is a really really great person! I met her now already a couple of times at many cs meetings in milano and always enjoyed her company very much! I am also her official supplier of sweaters/jackets on chilly Milano nights :-)

We spent thousands lunches together..I'm sad we don't live anymore in the same country. Although this can't avoid we to meet anyway. She came to Barcelona a couple of months ago, I think she still remembers the drink we had together...

Ivana is a really spontaneous and open minded girl... to improve our acquaintance we've discovered the 'Amarone's grappa' :)) so good ...mhmmm

She hosted me in Milan in short notice. I stayed with her two nights and both nights we went out with her friends in cool places in Milan and had a good time.

I liked her from the first moment she was in my home. I think it's a nice and funny girl!

 

I had a great time in Milano. Dinner was already prepared as i arrived ;-) Then we went out and met some other CS Members for drinks. Unfortunately i had to catch my train the next morning very early. Thanks for hosting on such short notice.

Ivana is a great person who can enjoy life and travelling. she has amazing travelling experiences that one day I hope I'll do as well.

I met Ivana months ago at a picnic in Milan. I had such great talks that it is a shame I only have time to write this reference now. (01-08-2007)

She is such an active girl and has so many plans. Ivana is very caring and nice. Uh, and not to forget the colorful gloves that are always with her, ready to be taken on a picture at any time and any place!!

I met Ivana in Zurich and we had a great time.I had a good impression about her from the first minute especially when she showed me her colourful gloves.She is always ready to have fun so i really hope that i see her again soon somewhere :D

 

Funny and expansive (expensive too) girl, don't miss the opportunity to meet her, if you are in Milan! She is one of the two only person that see the re-born of Saint Demetrio (famous for a miracle on her: make change her idea and come to Zurich BBQ Camp)

I met Ivana at a Pic-nic in Milan and soon realized she's a very kind girl . Then I had the pleasure to be hosted together in Zurich and got to know her better realizing that my first impression was right!She even helped me when I had a problem in the middle of a party.thank you so much! :D

I met Ivana in Bologna at an inter-rail.it get-together... She is a really sweet and kind girl, we got on well together right from the beginning (we survived through the market without buying anything, we played ping pong together and we danced the night through!). She is very easy to talk to and... well... I can't wait to see her soon in Turin!

Ivana is a very surprising couchie from Milano, really friendly and specially fond of speaking english. El italiano et el espagnolo é pio bello!! We have met two times, once in Milano and other in Barcelona and we had some fun.

Ivana showed up at the nice picknick in Milano Italy, The weather was nice and so was she as the sunshine was even visible when looking at her face.
Meeting people like her are already enough reason for a visit to Italy and I can give a good-time waranty.

Ivana couchsurfed with me in Mumbai.. She initially contacted me through hospitality club... Ivana is a wonderful person, a superb photographer.. She takes her time understanding the culture in every country that she visits... Unique thing about Ivana is her colour gloves that she carries around to different parts of the world to clink pictures with... Its absolute fun.. Apart from the time we spent in mumbai, we also met in Madras for an evening...

UpdateWhen Roy and I travelled to Europe in September 2006, Ivana came all the way from Italy to belgium to meet us .. we spent two lovely days in brussels and bruges... It was an amazing experience to complete the loop.. meeting in Europe after meeting in India... Well.. it doesnt end there.. looking foward to meeting her in another country very very soon...

Ivana is such a lovely person, and though she was very much under weather when she was at my place (i was also travelling part of the time) i feel i know her better now, with all the emails we have exchanged. she is always welcome at my place, and would ove to meet her when i get to milan.

 

The time we met was too short, but we had some good moments together in Bruges together with our Indian friends Aparna and Roy. Milan is still on my to- visit -list, so hopefully we meet again!
