Brandon is such a kind and generous person! I had a great time in Burlington thanks to his guidance and hospitality. Kitsa and Anka are awesome, too... Thanks, man!

true last second host, i sent a request day of arrival, he called me two hours before i got to portland AND he picked me up from the train depot. plus, he has gorgeous hair, not as gorgeous as his dogs, but he's a much better conversationalist than them

Brandon and Christine were extremely hospitable to me.. it felt like we had been old friends from way back right from the moment he picked me up from the station. They were happy to share their place, their stories, and a bit of food and wine:) Very Positive experience!

 

brandon is a very deciated member of the couchsurfing community. he definetely went above and beyond to accomodate monica and i at his place.

Brandon is a good guy, from my neck of the woods, well traveled and open-minded. He has two great dogs and won't even get mad if you want to try their biscuits. I hope to see more of him.

Update: 05/2008
I embarked on a culinary and beer tour of Vermont and knew that I had to finally meet Brandon in person. Even though he was planning on moving to the West Coast the next day, my friend and I were able to join him in walking his wonderful dogs and coax him into joining us for several beers around town. When all was said and done, we ended up surfing his couches too. I'll miss the opportunity to drop in on somewhat unexpectedly between Montreal and NYC, but I wish him luck out west. He is just as good of a person in person as was expected over the phone.

08/2007:
I thought I might be stuck in Burlington for a night, and Brandon was willing to put me up even though he was sick. I'm sure I'll take up the offer some time in the future, as although I haven't met him yet, he seems like he'd be a fantastic host.

What else can I say? Brandon is one helluva nice guy.

We only got to hang out briefly, but I enjoyed meeting him and the household -- especially the pair of albino attack wolves.

Brandon is a great guy! I made a last-minute couch request and he replied within minutes with couch in hand! :) He's a very kind and warm person and his room mate Will is an awesome guy, too. Brandon's huskies are the most loving dogs ever! Thank you so much Brandon and crew!

A beautyful soul,amazing traveller...he knows how to share experience and informations,leaving a great smile in the place...just hope to see him again!!!

 

Brandon was a genuine legend of a human being.

At this point it is a bit redundant to leave a positive reference for Brandon but since we share the same awesome name and he hosted me for two nights on 4 hours notice I have to give him mad props. Brandon in '08!

My friends and I contacted him last summer, the day before our trip to Burlington. He answered us less than 4 hours after and we slept in a guest room in his house...

he looked at me and he then called my name ?and i looked at hem and i said ,well i,m sure we met before but where?/ not in Burlington as i just arrived few days ago, and then he told me that we had emailes via c-s,
he is that person who you can see he got the travel spirit ,its a pitty we didnt spent that much time together ,

What a great guy! We've spent two days together, one in Wroclaw, one in Krakow, both were fantastic. It's like CS is made for people like Brandon and Brandon is totally made for CS. A real citizen of the world:)

Brandon host me for 4 days in Burlington. He and his friend invested a lot of time to show me the area and different beers :) I realy enjoyed spending my time with these two people. very welcome to germany.

 

I couldn`t stay in Burlington long, and unfortunately Brandon had to work, but he`s totally laid back and very friendly. Also, his dogs are awesome and totally relaxed. The bar Brandon works at is definitely worth checking out!

Brandon gave us a very comfy bed to sleep on and lots of good advice about Burlington. He was a great host, even brought us yummy macaroons for dessert!

 

It was such a pleasure for me to be hosted by Brandon (and the dogs!). He is such a warm person, gave me a beautiful room to sleep, helped me out with a few problems, and has made this a great first CS experience for me. I look forward to meeting you again!

 

Brandon is a sweetheart. We didn't get to hang beyond his store 2 days in a row while I kept him from his work. I promise to show the world our dear photographs too. I want to hang out with him again soon! Come to Philadelphia, please.

I met Brandon when he first moved in next door to me. Right off the bat I found him to be a really nice and genuine guy. Ever since then, we say hi and chat a bit when we have a free moment. A couple weeks ago I told him I was headed to Spain and did he have any tips or suggestions. Then he told me about CS. So, as a world traveler and ne who embraces chance, it gives me hope for humanity. Back to Brandon, yes, great guy!

 

Brandon came through in the clutch, no doubt about it! He offered the limited couch space he had to my travelling mate and I with two days' notice, even as he was hosting five other travellers. Way cool!! I wish I could have engaged his phyche a little bit more...but either way, Burlington should be proud for they are in the presence of a great person (must be the name). Thanks for everything Brandon....i'll be seeing you soon for sure!

 

BB hooked up B and I with a place to crash as we hitched into BVT...cool guy, great host, nice dogs... tons of people in the house at the time...surfers and residents...makes for good times...beautiful region, beautiful city....i only wish i had more time to chill....welcome here anytime

 

I stayed with Brandon when I visited Burlington. He showed me around and recommended many things to see and do. A very outgoing and friendly host in a great city.

Really nice guy. Totally goes out of his way to help couchsurfers. He even gave me cardboard for hitchhiking signs and bought me Vermont cheese.

GOOD GUY! had fun time! he made very good philly cheese steaks!

Had an awesome time CSing Brandon's place with a couple of mates. Gave us a great selection of couches, showed us round, and had a great time going out with him. His dogs are awesome!

Brandon offered me his couch also if I met him at the very last minute. He also introduced me at his beautiful city notwithstanding he had to work. A real CS ambassador!

Awesome guy with awesome friends. Showed me how awesome Burlington was couldn't have had a better time really an awesome town with awesome people. EVERYBODY CHECK OUT BURLINGTON THAT PLACE IS PRIME (stay with Brandon he'll take good care of you). Real chill guy. Thanks for everything man stay cool.

Good person, Very easy going, have a lot of stories.

Brandon,... this guy is spotaneous, open, easy going, we had so much fun! He visited my school and 32 girls were enthusiastic ;-)...

I learned a lot from him and he is always invitet to com back to Freistadt, stay here with his dogs!!!

i hosted him for some days and he´s one of the funniest guys i have ever met
we went out had a lot of fun together and had interesting conversations despite my english knowlege has room for improvement

Brandon is a very real person - great to chat to, intelligent, free-spirited... one of those really down to earth, well informed Americans who are a pleasure to meet! I would highly recommend sharing your couch with this beautiful brother xxx

 

He's very trustworthy, helpful and damn interesting to talk to. I was happy to have him stay and show him more about our little town. Unfortunately I didn't have enough time because of work and we only got to talk in the evening.
But he has the REAL CS spirit and lives by the moment which is a really cool thing! So if you wanna meet a laid back, intelligent and relaxed guy who is always up for an adventure, meet him! :-)

I couldn’t have believed when I saw that someone from Burlington had arrived to my city! This town made on me such a nice impression! If sb was making a travel package for people looking for the most friendly places in this world, except of as obvious destinations as New Zealand & Ireland, he would have to add Vermont... and Brandon definitely confirms this rule. He has also sth in common with ALL the places where I was spending my time in Burlington! So good memories. -- Dear Travelers, visit Lake Champlain, you’ll not regret!

Brandon is pure magic, he makes you want to host him forever :) The most inspiring person we’ve ever met, so amazing, unique, spontaneous, with mind and heart always open for new people and places, with stomach always ready to have some bottles of beer (actually not “some” but dozens :)), perfect match if sense of humor is concerned :) He makes friends easily and his smile makes you wanna hug him (honestly). He’s so chilled all the time, we do envy him that. If we were to name all things we love about him it would make this profile about 10km (6,214miles :)) longer so just know that he deserves the best the world can offer :)

Brandon inspired me by his travel tales of being in Europe 45 days, and 41 couch surfs so far!!! that gives me alot of faith in the building open community that this website is creating! truly inspiring! Europe does not have to be the old myth of too expensive if you can save on hotels, have kitchen to cook in, etc...thanks for the hope Brandon!

We just shared a ride - he was hitching to Berlin, I was driving to Copenhagen, and we had a beer in Osnabrück. I certainly enjoyed his company, a great start for a furthermore wonderful trip!

Fantastic guest!!! So friendly and cheerful. A great conversationalist and a good listener as well. We share a couple of things including the interest in healthy food and the haircut more or less ;) It was really really nice to have him around and I would love to meet him again anytime. Brandon, you talk Will into CS so I can give him a ref as well and watch out for bushy hair in the area when you're back home cause I would like to check Vermont's organic food supplies once ;)

Cool guy, he loves to party and have fun!!! My friends who hosted him told me he is really cool!!! We met only for a few hours but I must confess I found him interesting and open minded! A real couchsurfer!!!!Hope to party with u again one day!!!

 

Met Brandon in Poznan while he was staying at Ulik's. I joined them for a beer and spent the evening with them. He has a wonderful mood and a lot of charm:) Wish you all the best in your future voyages!

Brandon - a spontaneous spirit, one of the very few last minute guests I get. With a bent for hitch hiking. A personable guy, a most polite guest and a well-mannered gentleman with a huge interest in people.Able to accomodate in every situation, even on the dance floor which he didn't think of touching. Brandon makes hosting a pure joy! He's friendly, interested and helpfull and could easily get along with me and my friends. He made delicious Philly cheese steak for 7 people and learned me how to make Texan "Egg in a basket", which I love.
