Jack Metier

We were hanging around Dresden for just a few hours and this guy was like a trailer for some really cool movie. Knows all kinds of stuff, make sure to bring your notepad if you're meeting him.

 

I hosted Jack in Copenhagen, he was nice, friendly and chilled out.

Jack is really cool, i'm happy i could host him on his trip around the world, and i really hope to meet him again somewhere on this earth or beyond :)

 

Jack and his sister couchsurfed at my place in Paris. It was a brief exchange since they didn't stay long, but it was really nice meeting them, and hearing about their traveling plans around the world. You're very welcome if you transit through Paris again.

Met Jack in Portland where he was hosting Marco, a Couchsurfer friend of mine. My band was playing two shows in Portland and despite not knowing anything about us, he came out to both shows with Marco. From the little time we spent together, I could tell Jack is an intelligent, stand-up guy. Hopefully we'll meet up again some day.

Jack is an absolutely amazing host and an unbelieveable nice, kind and generous person.
He hosted me for for even longer than a usual couch surf stay what I really appreciate!
He has an amazing music collection and knowledge, his plans for the future are exiting, he gave me freedom if I wanted, showed us around or we had great conversations and fun.
All in all I can just recommend him as a host and surfer to the community.

Jack is a wonderful person. He allowed Marcos and I to stay at his house for a couple of days. He is knowledgeable about the Portland area and took his time to get to know me. I highly recommend him. Doughnuts?

Jack is definitely someone you wanna couch surf with. Not only he is very helpful, but he will do the best to provide the best hospitality, and taking time to show you around the city. He has a good selection of books, movies and music, a definite knowledgeable of movies, being a film maker himself. I learned a lot from him..he is a very open minded person, and able to carry a good conversation with anybody. I will definitely host him if he ever needed one or couch surf with him again! Very trust worthy, genuine, and respectful!

Jack is an awesome host -- very generous, considerate, chill, a good conversationalist as well as outdoorsman. Jack took me on an amazing hike up to Triple Falls in the Columbia River Gorge, and afterward we had lunch at a great cafe called The Press Room (with awesome sandwiches and crepes!)

It was great to hangout with someone as passionate about film -- I really enjoyed comparing notes and thoughts on filmmakers and theories. I'm looking forward to seeing some of Jack's films and future projects!

Jack and his roommate Sean are GOOD PEOPLE! They were able to show us around Portland a little while we were looking for Portland's allegedly best pizza. Both are very easygoing and engaging!
