No couch currently available for surfing. Couch UNAVAILABLE until further notice... Have a really chaotic few weeks ahead, then roadtrippin' out to Burning Man and not back til mid-September at which time I will be hopping between here and Atlanta, and moving. Personal DescriptionVery inspired at the moment. How I Participate in CSi give great couch ;)CouchSurfing Experiencehave watched CS grow from less than 1,500 members to 1,400,000!! have stayed with about 50 different hosts and hosted many times here in the past... an amazing way of travel.. always good times! Interestsfestivals! partial to those with fire and drums and unnatural lighting.. good friends, realized talent, photography, asian philosophy, impromptu dance floors, love kids- would like to work with children all over the world at some point (in a very not-cheesy kinda way). excessive drinking on appropriate occasions (not when working with kids ;), parties, the Mass games..... other countries, systems (all kinds).. POI and various other circus arts. I love good food, cheap wine, stinky cheese, the physics of fire, laughing, pillows, bags, dreams, repetition and rythym, love, psychology, patterns (all kinds), art, quark names, plants, math, sleeping, camping, kayaking, family, light/reflections/refraction, rainbows/moonbows, swarms/flocks/packs. i like most things science/outer space related. i can talk myself into or out of most anything. i secretly desire to be fearless. i like older objects that show signs of wear and character. costumes. i have a god-child, little Marley, and she's hands down the most beautiful, amazing little girl ever. liberating dependent clauses. building things/taking things apart. practical logic, making things work. sparkling/shiny/glittery things. kaleidoscopes, outdated journals and texts regarding the future... i wrote a 400 page book once, i want to improve my sewing skills, make more digital films, print more photos, and i want to get rid of the majority of the things i own. Philosophy"jealousy is suffering, misery is greed" -tupac
serendipity.karma.fate.loveMusic, Movies, Booksmovies.. anything original at least gets my respect, if not my liking. big lebowski, grey gardens, vanilla sky, my cousin vinny, fletch, joe versus the volcano!, groundhog day, wong kar wai films (most), LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE!, the edukators, amelie, all michel gondry's stuff, ryan larkin animation, the endurance.. and of course legends of the fall..
i enjoy music that you can imagine seeing people enjoy making.. to name a few... coco rosie, midlake, simon and garfunkel, oldies oldies oldies, tahiti boy and the palmtree family, nina simone, bedouin soundclash, banhart, reggae, sigur ros, ella fitzgerald, natalie merchant, feist, of montreal, animal collective, pre-'pardon me' incubus.. would prefer live music any day, be it on my porch or blaring across thousands of screaming fans in an amphitheater
books- farhenheit 451, diary of a century, my old journals, old bio's, more tolstoy than rushdie... can't put down SHANTARAM at the moment :) old classics always good in all categories.... pretty much (dating excluded) all of my interests are in old things... Types of People I enjoyuniquely individual individuals... . . . actually i am fascinated with everyone, good/bad/sane/crazy, and i always want to know more. we're all born with roughly the same potential (fundamentally), and it's amazing to find out what's made someone who they are. though beyond satisfying my fascination, I still prefer the good ones :)Teach, Learn, Shareteach- anything i know i'm willing to teach people, just ask! i can cook pretty well :) and i can do well in most artistic endeavors.. and if you plan on talking to small children in a spanish-speaking country i can teach you some basics :D
learn- i want to get better at poi, i'd like to learn alternate ways of living.. and i wanna learn how to kickbox, belly dance, and am looking to start playing the violin.
share- even when i was little i was good at sharing ;) One Amazing Thing I've Seen or DoneI've realized, among other things, that at certain moments i have actually lived to the fullest of my ability.. oh and I got all three brothers-Hanson to sign my boob with a sharpie ;)Opinion on the CouchSurfing.org Projectwhere to start.. free couches 'n shit. HAHA, kidding! it's really changed my life and fueled the fire to get outta town and spend the rest of my life being constantly amazed by the world i live in and the people i have yet to meet.Locations TraveledTRAVELED: Andorra, Belgium, Cambodia, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Laos, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Mexico, Monaco, Netherlands, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand, The Bahamas, United Kingdom, United States, Vietnam LIVED: United States WANTS TO GO: Canada, New Zealand, South Africa References
From Robert Newton Oklahoma City, United States Sep 3 Positive *Taking the easy way out and writing one positive reference for 4 people who were traveling together*
Cara, Jennifer, Christine, and Adam all surfed at my place for a night on the way to Burning Man. I wish I could have hung out with those four a bit longer as all four were a lot of fun, very considerate, and great conversationalists. There were all quite experienced couch surfers and it showed as they all couldn't be more appreciative. I would be happy to host or stay with any of the four anytime as I'm sure, given a situation where we don't have to wake up at 6:30am, much fun can be had.

From Mina Fung Eureka Springs, United States Dec 20, 2008 Positive Jen is a great host! She rescued me from a creepy old guy's house and provided transport for all my reconnaissance missions in Asheville. I enjoyed our thrift shopping and private property viewing adventures. I had a lot of fun with Jen and hope I can surf with her again soon :)

From Mustafa Hussain Gainesville, United States May 15, 2008 Positive she's the only other person I know, besides myself, who would ask a bum for a quarter. I hope we get to hang out once more. Oh ya, ask her about her books.
From Scott Bufis Saint Augustine, United States Mar 13, 2008 Positive Jenny and her friend, Dave made my first time as a host an experience that I'll always remember. I met up with Jenny in Atlanta the night befor I headed back to BKK and enjoyed her company over a few drinks (I tend to drink a lot so usually meeting people for drinks) Anyway she came out to Thailand, and I enjoyed her company so much that I put off semi important business and stayed in Thailand, and did a bit of traveling around down to Malaysia.
