About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To celebrate our honeymoon by meeting new people and to share in new experiences whilst traveling the world.

ABOUT ME

My wife, Kelly Sparks, and I are on an extended honeymoon traveling the globe!

Awhile back in the late summer of 2011 I started backpacking, visiting friends, Couchsurfing, Wwoofing and volunteering through workaway.info on my own world adventure. Eventually, I made my way from Western to Eastern Europe, and then on to Asia by mid-January, 2012. Once I visited Korea, I couldn't leave and ended up staying and teaching English for over two years! There I met my the love of my life and forever travel partner, Kelly Sparks.

Once our employment contracts in Korea were completed in the spring of 2014, we took the opportunity to travel throughout SE Asia for several months. By mid-summer, we moved to California. We had been extremely fortunate to call the beach town of San Clemente our home for several years. After I proposed in Yosemite, California, we decided that we wanted to start our new life together with a grand honeymoon adventure around the globe. So we saved, found ways to work while traveling, and are now smack dab in the middle of this incredible adventure.

We started in February, returning to where we first met and fell in love, South Korea. While there we were able to reunite with old friends, make new ones, see parts of the country we hadn't while we lived there and were even able to enjoy much of the Winter Olympics. Since then we've made our way throughout Asia, Europe, Australia, African and back again to Europe, and we're continuing to for more fun and culture. So far we've been through 32 countries this year!

Despite the occasional obstacles, life is pretty damn good right now and we cannot wait to meet more friends!

PHILOSOPHY

"I'm sure it will work itself out." and "I can do this: far less-smarter people than I have done this before."
