Groups I Belong ToCouch Information
Couch Available: Maybe Preferred Gender: Any Max Surfers Per Night: 2
Shared Sleeping Surface: No Shared Room: YesMy room is where the couchsurfers stay. I have one bed and a floor. If I am not in the bed you are more than welcome to it! I am living about 5 or 6 blocks away from the center of town. Currently there are a total of 5 people living in the house but it often seems like I live alone. I have a room that you are more than welcome to stay in, but I always gotta check with the roomies. Those staying for just one night need not apply. Your length of stay depends entirely on how well the house accepts you. Cigarettes are not welcome indoors. There are lots of outdoor activities in Prescott and I am more than willing to enjoy them with you when I am not working (Hiking, Biking, Climbing, etc...). Everything is walking or biking distance here thus there is no public transportation. On that note there is a Shuttle from the Phoenix Airport for about $20 that will bring you directly into Prescott. My bedtime varies, but if you can respect my sleep then I don't care what you schedule is like. Friends (98)

Personal DescriptionMe huh? Well let me paint a picture. Its dark, its lonely, there is no known destination... its an unmarked path. I am on it. The only thing I can do to advance down this path is know that I am on it. I have to spread love and peace to those I cross and dream of meeting others on the same path. I'm doing what my soul tells me to.How I Participate in CSHosting, being hosted, gatherings, and all that jazzCouchSurfing ExperienceThe greatest moments of my life and some of my most valued friends were created from travel and CS. InterestsFamily, friends, music, percussion, my dog, reading, movies, things that boggle my mind, friendly arguements, pretty much anything that is new or that I have not experienced, learning, cycling, cycling, cycling, fitness, cooking, food, eating.... lots and lots of stuff.PhilosophyThe world is made up of two types of viewpoints. First there are those who see the world as a whole. They are the artistic crowd. Second there are those who see the world for what it is made of. They are the logical crowd. No view point is better than the other. However, when you can see the world for its beauty as a whole and its parts then you are truly experiencing the actual beauty that exists.Music, Movies, BooksThe list is long, so i will have to fill this section in at another dateTypes of People I enjoyOpen minded people. Those who are reasonable.Teach, Learn, ShareI have learned in my CS travels that if you do not expect anything from anybody you will be amazed at what people will do.
When you host, simply treat them as you would treat a friend. One Amazing Thing I've Seen or DoneI sold or gave away just about all my possessions, left my home with out a ticket anywhere or a ticket to return, started moving around with a pack on my back and time to kill. It has taken me to amazing places and amazing people. It has changed me for the greater and I love my life for it. Opinion on the CouchSurfing.org ProjectIf you have surfed before you know how nearly impossible it is to explain. You can get a good idea of how incredible CS is from reading others experiences and opinions. But, those are insignificant to how the experience makes your feel (as a host or a surfer). There is a love for life and your neighbors everywhere you go! From John Harwood Oxford, United Kingdom Nov 5 Positive I was cycling towards Prescott with another cyclist and Couch Surfer I had met along the way who had arranged to stay with Justin. Having met Justin he very kindly offered me a couch for the night as well. I was made to feel very welcome and Justin prepared the best meal that I have had in ages. From Michael Kropf Pensacola, United States Dec 20, 2008 Positive I'm so thankful JMFundal took a chance on me as a host. We shared ideas, knowledge, food, and drink, and he even helped me out of a very tight spot. After only a couple of days, I consider him a friend. I am grateful I became part of his journey, and I hope to see him again soon.
From Karla Dhungana Tallahassee, United States Dec 18, 2008 Positive Justin kept referring to himself as a cynic and by the time he left I found that endearing. He is so passionate and opinionated about the politics of change and mankind that one can only wish for more individuals like him. It was a true pleasure to cross paths with him during his journey of movement and discovery. Wander on my friend, I shall live through you vicariously. Take luck and here's to our next meeting at a future bend in the road!!
From Conrad and April Matt Saint Augustine, United States Dec 17, 2008 Positive Sadly only had a few words over beer at a loud bar and they left the next morning before I arrived, but Justin seemed a very mellow person out on a walkabout for a while.
From Emily Breczinski Oakland, United States Sep 4, 2008 Positive Justin is a fabulous host. His dog Dutch is awesome. His bike is cool. His roomates are great. He directed me where to go in the cultural mecca of Buffalo. But he has no pride. I won it in a bet, and now it hangs on my wall.

From Jennifer Whitmore Buffalo, United States May 6, 2008 Positive As if this surfer didn't have ENOUGH positive feedback, I'm adding my two cents, better late than never! And to spice it up, I wrote an acronym:
Journey bound; destination, the world!
Uncanny ability to make people feel at ease.
Swank couches for surfing!
Therapeutic conversationalist.
Intellectual aptitude.
Not afraid to think outside the box!
From Bastien Genefort New York, United States May 5, 2008 Positive Justin was an awesome host for our car! He had only nice words though we woke him up at 5am saturday, and then again on sunday. Hope we'll have time to hang out during the day before each of us wander around the big blue globe! Your way of traveling just leave me in awe :)
From Frances McNally Brooklyn, United States Apr 29, 2008 Positive My small efforts to bring people together across cities found one of its greatest rewards in the most excellent vibes from Justin! NYC bombarded Justin with surfers and partying, and this guy just rode along on his didgeridoo like it was common to have crazy people around him all the time. He gets major credit for being such a welcoming presence amongst the many lovely Buffaloians we all met. I'm looking forward to his summer visits in NYC!
From brandy michelle New York, United States Apr 28, 2008 Positive Justin was a great host, real laid back, friendly and accomodating, and not cranky when awoken several times by various noises in the night. He has one of the more interesting homes I have ever surfed. I hope we shall meet again!

Good luck state-side and never stop traveling! xoxo

From Kate Ferguson Melbourne, Australia Mar 4, 2008 Positive I spent one night with Justin and his friends in Buffalo a bit over a year ago. I wish it had been longer, and when Justin recently stayed with me for a week back on my home soil in Australia, it cerrtainly felt like we had known each for longer than just that one time in Buffalo.

Good people are out there.
From Lukas Kampfmann Berlin, Germany Mar 2, 2008 Positive Justin reminded me why I love the CS network so much: You get to make friends with interesting people from around the globe.
