I was cycling towards Prescott with another cyclist and Couch Surfer I had met along the way who had arranged to stay with Justin. Having met Justin he very kindly offered me a couch for the night as well. I was made to feel very welcome and Justin prepared the best meal that I have had in ages. Justin lives life to the full and soon had us involved in a bike race around the bars in town with his friends, it made for a very sociable evening. Justin embraces the spirit of travel and I would recommend him to anybody.

It's been fun getting to know Justin. He has a warm and friendly disposition that makes him easy to get along with.

I am totally stoked about knowing Justin! We have had some great times rockin' out on the drums, running, rock climbing, dancing, and just hangin'. He has a fiery intensity about life but is also really laid back at the same time...an awesome combo! A very special person and a great friend!

Great time shared together. Justin is smart and laid back and knows how to kick it Mexican style. Glad I got the chance to meet him.

Justin welcomed us to Prisca's house, being our partial host in Guadalajara. We enjoyed spending time with him and Salsa dancing. He has very good taste of music, I liked everything he played. see you very soon in the south of Mex.

Justin... JUSTIN ! If you have the opportunity to meet this "gringo" guy you shouldn't miss it. He will for sure have thousands of interesting things to tell you - and then he will play 4-hands on an organ with you. He can also teach you to make a very good fake student card ;)

Justin is a very good bloke. Lots to talk about, especially on globalisation! We both hate it. Owns a bike and loves Australia so has to be tops. Recommend him as a great Cser

 

Justin has a history of travelling enviable to anybody. and is willing to share his experiences with you! if you meet him , you'll surely be friends!

I met Justin in a CS Party at Guadalajara and I got along very well with him instantly, talking about any subject we could have in our minds. Too bad I only saw him at the Party, but I hope to meet him in the future, and Justin, if you want to go and visit Morelia, just drop me a line :)

It is very easy to have a chat with people but it is very difficult to have a real conversation about the most important things in life. I had a great connection with Justin. He is an excellent companion to visit galleries and museums. A magnific cooker. A very sweet boy

Justin wa a good couchsurfer, he was fun to hang out with, I can say that he loves mexican food specially chicharron so dont hesitate to make him try anything, he will say yes, is a good gastronomic turist... and is very helpfull. I enjoyed their stayed it was fun hosting them.

I met Justin when he was visiting Monterrey, then we traveled to Real de 14 and Xilitla in a 2-day trip, this helped me to know a little more about him and I realized he's an amazing guy. He's easygoing and funny, besides he cooks great, haha :p

I had a great time travelling with Justin. He is the epitome of "not all who wander are lost". He's a seasoned traveler; street smart, a gracious guest, and always up for adventure. Hombre, you're welcome at my place anytime, and hopefully we can travel together again sometime!

Justin came to Monterrey with more surfers and we were all together in new year's eve, It was a good experience to share that moment with people like him, truly couchsurfers

 

I knew the first time I shook hands with Justin that this kid was special. He has superb taste in music without being a snob and he patiently tolerated my Mariah Carey music, lol! He's very smart, kind, and always ready to shake his butt on the dance floor. I'm so glad he came with us to Mexico. Happy travels!

hey hey... what's up everybody.. i met justin by concidende, Maria came to my place and brought a couple of people with her, justin was in the group, even when all others left, justin stayed over for a while... cool guy... it was nice to have him staying over.. hey justin, hope you get to know some nice places and people in your "go with the wind" travel.. hehe :P

 

Although Justin no hable espanol muy bien, his world famous banana Nutela sandwiches will sweep you off your feet. Great times in Monterrey, his love for travel is contagious. He is reliable and great travel companion!

We had a great New Years Party! Even if we didn´t talk for a long time I can tell that He´s so adventurous and loves traveling.

He told me the true story of Bufalo Wings!!! But I don´t believe him yet :P

He is a great guy ready to try every food that I offer him.

I hosted this crazy backpacker from hell by accident and I'm so glad I did, because it was a pleasurable experience hosting this dude. He is the essence of what CS is all about. A true traveler if you really wanna know. He sets sail with no agenda but to explore the world and have fun while doing it, rocking one town at a time. A+ couch surfer!

 

I already miss the guy...Justin really added a lot of personality and mind to the city while he was here. Very wise and helpful...He is ALWAYS welcome wherever I am. Meet him and prepare to be jealous of his travels!!!!

 

We had the same host in New Orleans, drank a wiskey together in the oldest bar in the USA and almost froze to death in the maybe cooldest night in NOLA, but it was great!
Met again in Monterrey at the CS New Year's Eve party. He is the personification of the couch surfing idea!

 

Justin is a nice guy and weathered surfer, I just hope the deep-fried southern food didn't scar him too badly. Good luck on your travels, hope you can escape the fog!

from our brief encounters, i think justin is a kindred spirit, and i look forward to spending more time with him. i'm happy and proud he's a united states ambassador on cs... maybe he should think about becoming a real one because i get the feeling he would do a much better job... ;P

I'm so thankful JMFundal took a chance on me as a host. We shared ideas, knowledge, food, and drink, and he even helped me out of a very tight spot. After only a couple of days, I consider him a friend. I am grateful I became part of his journey, and I hope to see him again soon.

 

Justin kept referring to himself as a cynic and by the time he left I found that endearing. He is so passionate and opinionated about the politics of change and mankind that one can only wish for more individuals like him. It was a true pleasure to cross paths with him during his journey of movement and discovery. Wander on my friend, I shall live through you vicariously. Take luck and here's to our next meeting at a future bend in the road!!

 

Sadly only had a few words over beer at a loud bar and they left the next morning before I arrived, but Justin seemed a very mellow person out on a walkabout for a while.

Justin is a fabulous host. His dog Dutch is awesome. His bike is cool. His roomates are great. He directed me where to go in the cultural mecca of Buffalo. But he has no pride. I won it in a bet, and now it hangs on my wall.

This was definitely a great choice! I had a LOT of fun with Justin, his housemates, his friends and the dogs! Buffalo is lucky to have him. I would definitely recommend him as a host and I would couch surf with him anytime. Thanks for everything!

Justin gave me some great pointers about CS and we ended up sitting at Global Market enjoying our snack long after it closed. I look forward to seeing him at a potluck or CS event soon. Oh and his dog Dutch is a sweetheart!

He hosted us in his place for few days. He took well care of us and we got to meet his roomates too. We joined to some outdoors activities in the backyard with them. Justin if you ever decide to come over to Europe and want to visit BCN you know you have a home in the city!

Justin was a great host. He was really helpful and helped us unpack the car, free s'mores were involved and his couches are really comfortable. Great hair.

Justin was an awesome host for our car! He had only nice words though we woke him up at 5am saturday, and then again on sunday. Hope we'll have time to hang out during the day before each of us wander around the big blue globe! Your way of traveling just leave me in awe :)

 

My small efforts to bring people together across cities found one of its greatest rewards in the most excellent vibes from Justin! NYC bombarded Justin with surfers and partying, and this guy just rode along on his didgeridoo like it was common to have crazy people around him all the time. He gets major credit for being such a welcoming presence amongst the many lovely Buffaloians we all met. I'm looking forward to his summer visits in NYC!

Justin was a great host, real laid back, friendly and accomodating, and not cranky when awoken several times by various noises in the night. He has one of the more interesting homes I have ever surfed. I hope we shall meet again!

 

Anyone who can host 4 crazy NYers and welcome them with a huge smile at 5 AM is #1 in my book! Justin is effortlessly cool, inately kind and exudes with good vibes.

Justin was an amazing host for me and my friends during the Buffalo invasion. He's a relaxed, cool dude, very interesting to talk to, that I would expect to find in Hawaii, surfing :) He was a great accomodating host, even ready to welcome us at 5am in the morning. I feel very fortunate to have met Justin. He stayed with me for almost a week and I cannot begin to describe how much fun we had. A great spirit and a wonderful human being. In such a short amount of time, he has become a great friend.

UPDATE: Finally got to travel with this guru! What an amazing guy and I miss him so much already. From camping in Tasmania, to cycling around Rottnest Island, and jiving at the West Coast Blues & Roots Festival in Perth, this guy became the reason for my happy smile all the way through our fun escapades. I spent one night with Justin and his friends in Buffalo a bit over a year ago. I wish it had been longer, and when Justin recently stayed with me for a week back on my home soil in Australia, it cerrtainly felt like we had known each for longer than just that one time in Buffalo.
I'm so glad to have met Justin, apart from being a great person to hang out with, he's been catalystic in several areas of my own prersonal growth.
Good people are out there.

Justin reminded me why I love the CS network so much: You get to make friends with interesting people from around the globe. He is one of the few people you dont get sick of even if you hang out 24/7, and lives and breathes the CS spirit. A textbook traveller, on a scale of 1 to 10, Justin is dope.

It was a great experience to met him for several days. He gain a lot of travel know-how and other valuable life-experience. Every little chat we had was worthwhile;)A pleasure to met him- I don't need to say more

I stayed with Justin for two wonderful days in Buffalo and I do not have words for all he did for me, the comfortable I felt being there and all he showed me etc. etc. etc. I am so happy I made it up there and if it would have been just to get to know him it would have been worth the long train ride ;-). He is a very special person to me and I really hope to stay in touch! If you get the chance to host him on one of his upcoming trips, do so, you will not regret it at all!!!

i met justin in Fiji just a few weeks ago and i had since the beginning a good felling we did a lot of things together and i enjoy all of them the best it was just yesterday when we went to do skydiving and it was wow amazing!!he is a graet and always happy guy and i m sure i can trust him in any situation!!!

Has gotten us on CS. Gives off good vibes with plenty of smiles.

 

I met Justin playing roller hockey in parking lots. He suprises me the more I get to know him. He exudes a great deal of self-confidence and enjoys cycle touring, two attributes I admire a great deal. I look forward to more hockey games and an opportunity to tour side by side.

I admire these guys (Justin and Brandon). They have adventuristic spirts and are intoxicated by a sense of wanderlust. After riding 50 miles (by bike), they still let me drag them to a yoga class and they didn't even complain. They are the kind of sweet guys that can get along with ANYONE. Another amazing thing? They clean up after themselves:)!!!

I've met Justin probably 10 times before we started hanging out. One thing I can say about Justin is that he always seems relaxed and content with life. He has an awesome demeanor and is great to be around.

 

After all the months, I finally got to meet Justin at the Pot Luck. He`s great to talk to and the biking guru of Buffalo. I totally want to check out his `spot` down hear Alfred!

 

i had a wonderful time during CS at justins'place :) every time i think back it makes me smile :D:D

 

Justin is an extremely mellow hit who is fun to spend time with and talk to. We took his suggestion to take Lila to the sculpture park and it was one of of favorite things in the buffalo area. Have a great trip to New Zealand. I hope our paths cross again.

Justin is very laid-back and easygoing. He is fun to sit around smoking sheesha and shootin the breeze with. I know you're not supposed to reference anyone you don't know really well, but Justin and his friends are to be trusted-I would let my kids surf his place, and i really, really love my kids, so....:)(besides, did you see his dog, Dutch? omg, adorable!)

Since the moment I met him (thanx for the ride again!!), I felt very comfortable in his company. A very considerate host, a great conversation, a big big nice dog and a great couch... I really wished I could have stayed longer. But I promess, I'll catch it up because I had a great timeover there!! I definitively recommend him!!

We have not spent much time together, but Justin is very open, friendly person, and we hit it off immediately, sharing a quest for knowledge and intense experience.

 

Justin's one of those people I wish would come to his senses and just move to Seattle. He'd be great to have for a neighbor, wing-man, hiking buddy, etc. Until then, I know he's out there making a lot of people really happy with his presence, wherever he is. If you get a chance to host him, don't hesitate!

He showed us around the town. We ate falafal on the green. We talked all night long.

I had the opportunity to spend some time with him when I was in Buffalo surfing. We did not talk a lot, but Justin was warm, welcoming and friendly.

My roommate and i had an absolutely wonderful time surfing with justin and his house mates. they were all extremely hospitable; they made us feel at home the moment we walked in.
the guys showed us some sights, completely took care of us, and were surely entertaining. much love for the potomac crew (i have no idea if i spelled that correctly)

 

Justin made us feel like we belonged in Buffalo. We loved the city and felt really comfortable. I took a picture of Dutch sitting in a porch chair, and another of him singing while Justin played the panpipes. I'll send it to you when I upload my photos.

 

I met Justin at the Buffalo pot luck dinner thingymajiggle as he lived above the people who hosted me, we didnt spend much time together but he welcomed me into his home, made me feel comfortable and told me about some great places to visit while on my travels. two thumbs up :D

 

Justin was a great host and even got up at 2 am to welcome me to his place after i was delayed due to driving in bad weather. And he had to work in the morning too! I will definately catch up with him next time I'm in the area and would recommend to anyone to do the same. Justin btw my car did break down in Ohio last night :(

Justin hosted a Couchsurfing potluck at his house and my roommate and I had an excellent time, ate awesome food and had great conversation. Hope to meet up again in the future, possibly on bicycles :)

 

Justin and I have shared the best and worst of times. Our friendship is unique to any other in ways that can't be explained. I can honestly say that Justin has been one of the most influential people in my life. Actually come to think of it I couldn't imagine who I'd be had I not known Justin all these years. I couldn't imagine a better person for somebody to get the opportunity to meet via couch surfing than Justin

 

Rock on you motorboatin mother sucker you...I dont know what to say but, if you get a chance to meet this man of men, do not, under any circumstance, pass it up. Over the years Justin has become a brother to me and I couldnt have asked for a more unique one, at that. Justin will introduce you to his world of laughter, trust, variety, compatibility and great fun. I have had the opportunity to embrace his charismatic, unique and lively character and i would recommend that any traveler do the same. Good Times will be had by all!!!!

 

Justin is just plain cool. Young (relative to me) and starting to see the world on bike tours, part of me wishes I could trade places with Justin! Justin is a good guy. Host or be hosted by him if you have the opportunity.

 

I've known this guy for nearly 10 years...since back when the Warped Tour wasnt so lame. Hockey games, concerts, road trips, local pubs, great herbs....and now I work with him and Brandon in the horticulture business. Good guy, loves to party, loves to laugh, loyal friend, drinks like a fish....and I hear his baked goods ain't too shabby either.

 

:0) Very fun... We had fun at the bars in OB and I enjoyed showin the irish whiskey lover my hometown even though it was only for a little...

 

We have camped on several occassions and Justin has "surfed" at my place a few times. . .its always a good time. Justins sense of humor and witty intelligence is very rare and always surprises me. he has grown to be a close friend and i will always trust him - with camping plans, biking routes, brownie recipes, film reccs and sarcastic exchanges. Hes a good surfer and a great host!
