ABOUT ME
I'm a laid back dude most of the time. I drink coffee, cruise the Internets for interesting things to write about, design funny things about Apple stuff and cool sports posters, make music videos, and take fashion photographs.
You can check out my work on my website: http://503creative.com
I quite enjoy interesting people, their stories, and their journeys. My lovely girlfriend, Brenda, and I hope to start hosting soon! You can check out her profile here: http://www.couchsurfing.org/profile.html?id=3N77KI0
PHILOSOPHY
I believe that people will get along if given the chance, thus everyone starts with a clean slate in my book. There is so much to learn from all kinds of people, it'd be shame to miss any of it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Got started in the Couch Surfing world last year (lightly) - had some CSers over to finish off a birthday keg (which was a blast) - but with our move to St. Louis, we have a couch and a spare room with an inflatable mattress to accommodate the masses.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Not able to bounce around just yet.
Interests
I used to spend a lot of time in coffee shops (not much anymore with a real job), working on any number of creative projects -- photography, film, graphic art, blogging, etc.
I also like to catch a good live show, a game, or any of the Lou's cool local events.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Fight Club, Swingers, anything by Wes Anderson, David Fincher, or the Scott brothers (RIP Tony), and many others.
Music: Radiohead and Nirvana are the all-time favorites. Currently a solid mix of alternative rock (Black Keys, Foster the People, Death Cab, the Shins) and electronica-ish/DJ tunes (M83, Caribou, SBTRKT, Deerhunter).
Books: Erhmm... Not many actually. I do a lot of reading, it just happens to be about current events (and very nerdy), though I did read the Steve Jobs biography by Walter Isaacson and Brenda read 50 Shades of Grey out loud.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of the coolest moments recently was going to Opening Night at the Rose Garden with the Blazers playing the Lakers the first year I moved to Portland. WIth 30K people screaming their heads off, the Blazers won on a last second three-pointer. Growing up in a tiny town (2 stop lights) it was an awe-inducing moment for me.
My trip to Germany was an incredible experience and mild culture shock. Not being able to communicate as efficiently as I was used to was eye-opening on many levels.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love learning about new technology and how it makes the world a better place.
I can teach almost anyone almost anything about Apple stuff -- iPhones, iPads, iPods, Macs ... Anything. I also help a lot of people with graphic art and photography situations.
