i met kamel when he was spending his holiday in jogja.. he is cool person.. know lot of stuff in life.. it was great and exciting having time with him.. keep travelling my bro.. and jogja will always wait for you for your next coming..

I had a good experience when I visited Kamel in France. He was really busy working in is own website but he offered his house to sleep when I called him when I arrived in Paris. He didn´t expect me there all week and he received me very well. I hope he finnished his website and he can start travelling again. He is a friendly and nice guy.

I was very happy that Kamel and his brother Mustapha visited me. As guests they were brilliant! I only regret that we couldn't spend more time together. But I hope that destiny will give us a chance to meet again.

It is not easy to describe Kamel. He is very optimistic person, always smiling and warm, and thoughtful. Thanks to him I felt Paris' high cultural activities and delicious french dishes. Besides, his travel story and video work about our world is very very very interesting!
I thank him a lot for his hospitality and kindness. I strongly hope to meet him again in this small world! Merci~!

Too few people are really able to make their primary dreams come true. Kamel is one these guys. By no means this is an easy accomplishment; except if you can master the equations of devotion and freedom like Kamel does.
We had a great time in Rio de Janeiro, back in 2006, when he was still in the first months of his world trip. At that time, my whole family enjoyed his illuminated presence. Rio de Janeiro has hundreds of favelas, but it was Kamel the one to convince me I wouldn´t be a real carioca citizen before touring at least one of them. I think that was a memorable experience to both of us (although he certainly collects a lot of them).
Nice to find him in CS (we originally met through HC).

Kamel is a nice and intelligent guy, he told me the story of French revolution. what's surprised me is that he CAN speak a few sentences in Mandarin and he knows the geography of China so well. He is also very patient on my broken French and tried to correct me all the time. Hey, Kamel, Tu es très sympa!!! A bientôt!! Hope to see u again very soon!

my first experience couch surfing... very welcoming and easy going guy. i felt completely comfortable in his home and he even brought us out for a night in paris. it was wonderful and i'm very glad to have met him!! he even let me leave one of my bags there since i packed to much to continue my trip! you rock Kamel... can't wait to run into you again someday!

 

we met at a CS meeting in Prague and two days later we went together to Kutna Hora. is was a really funny experience, to come back to prague we walked in the railway!!!
he is very fun person and totally easy going! i think we will meet again in somewhere in this huge planet!

I stayed with Kamel at his place in Paris for 4 days. Although he was very busy with his work, he managed to find some time to share with me. We had interesting conversations about travels and people. He has a charming personality and open mind, and I felt myself really comfortable with him.

I met Kamel at work.
He shared with me a lot of is experience as a traveller, as a human being and as an IT professional.
He comforted me in the idea that travelling around the world is possible, and that, for sure, there are people as easygoing as I pretend to be.
We made a trip together for 4/5 days which confirmed my great opinion of him.
I just thank him for all and recommend him as a friend.

Kamel is a very nice host. He likes traveling a lot and he is generous to share his experience and his souvenir from other countries! I am also very appreciate for what he had helped me. He is always helpful and do not mind to give you a hand! I am lucky to have him in Paris!

Je suis reconnaissant que malgré d'être trop occupé il m'a accepté deux fois, Il était super accuelient. dès que je suis entré chez lui, grace a son hospitalité, je me suis senti comme chez moi. Il m'a montré un restaurant pakistanais et aussi le quartier d'immigrés, qu'était trés interessant et enrichissant. Il est toujours bienvenu chez moi.

Kamel is such a great person & host that everybody wants to meet him! Me and Aysin stayed at his house for 4 days, and he made us feel like at home. although he was sooo busy, we found a chance to try some algerian & moroccan food together. and also his travel videos were amazing :)) thank u again kamel for everything.

It's funny that my 3. couch surfing experience was in a capital again. Kemal lives not in the Paris central area, but I could find his place quite easily. He is a very busy bee, but still offer an unexpected night tour with other 2 couch surfers. After 5 years to visit Paris again, I had a good time! Merci!

 

Kamel was a superior host here in Paris. He made me feel @home in his flat immediately and even though he has a lot of work these days after returning from his 3 year world trip, he tries to allocate as much time as he can for his CouchSurfers, amazing! He lets nobody stand in the rain here in Paris!
He told me about the POLYGLOT meeting in Paris and it was a lot of fun to go there and talk in different languages. And he himself talks a lot of languages as well, impressive.
He made me want to go to India and Africa, so these places are on my TOCYCLE list next.

not only is Kamel a courageous traveler, but he is also an absolutely wonderful host. he has a high standard of hospitality and you can understand the richness of his soul just by looking in his eyes...even if you could only spend a short time with him you would be able to discover a hard-working person full of good vibes, generosity and inspirations. thanks Kamel for the chance to get to know you, it was a pleasure that has left us with great memories.

This was My first couch surfing experience ever. Kamel was is a very generous and truly genuine guy, we felt right at home crashing at his pad : ) Although he was working, he stil found time to have a good chat and even gave us some helpful advice on our next destination. A great experience, would have him on my couch any day!

Kamel was a wonderful host. He was working a lot while I was there but he still found the time to drive us around Paris at night(there was one other girl from the US also there). We had delicious crepes from one of his favorite places and we even saw some live music. I would never have seen the real Paris without him. He was so generous and kind. He would be welcome at my place any time.

 

I thought that I would have no host in Paris. Everyone told me that it was basically impossible to get a host here. Enter an angel that said don't worry, come on over. Although he had to work and wasn't able to show me around much he let me into his flat to rest my weary soul. Another young lady was here for just one night and when her flight was cancelled he told her to come back home for another night!! You really don't meet people like Kamel everyday. When he wasn't working one night, he took us both to see the Eiffel Tower lit up at night even when he knew he had to work a little on his computer and get some sleep for work the next day. I would welcome him to my home in Florida at a moments notice and I can't thank him enough for letting me stay with him!!

Couldn´t say any thing negative about Kamel.

he was my guest for couple of days in August 2008,we spent unforgetable dayes , i think all the english language dictionaries it's not enghout to describ how this man he is very helpful and friendly, we spent just few days together but i felt he is just like my brother maybe more.

Kamel and I met in Hawf, as he was passing from Oman into Yemen in his round-the-world odyssey and later in Yemen's capital, Sana'a, for two days. We had very deep and inspiring conversations and I really felt like I learnt a lot from him and from the things he shared from his trips with me. A very special person to have met.

I met Kamel while in Bali, he taught me most of what I know about travelling, I must say that this is a person of remarkable character and world knowledge. I hope that we can meet again along our travels.....and we did! For like three months from Thailand to Shanghai! Yeah, some of the best memories of my life with this guy- Kamal is the best guy I know.

Kamel was my first contact in Paris. When Iarrived here in 2004, he came and pickup me from the bus station. He took care of me during several years before he left for his worl tour. He is my brother now.

Kamel is one of my favorites to name drop when talking about who I met while traveling through India and what they were like. A real student, and active participant of life.

It was a really nice time exploring Kabul together. I'm very impressed by his long trip around the world. He's quite smart and knows what he is talking about. I was glad to get the chance to meet him in personal because he could give me valuable tipps about traveling in other countries. Ca marche!

Kamel is super easy going and very down to earth. He's totally practical and caring. Bonus, he'll never make you stop laughing. You'll easily be amazed and will enjoy his travel stories. Kamel contacted me about staying in my apartment in Seoul during his worldly travels. He ended up staying with another surfer, but came through when I asked him to give me a call when he made it to town. We shared a couple drinks, exchanged some travel stories, tried to ignore the lesbians making out at the table next to us...a good night was had by all! Really interesting guy, tons of cool things to share, hope I see him again!

Kamel only stayed for one night but he was so interesting to talk to! He has a wealth of knowledge about the whole world!

Kamel supposed to stayed at my place but under some circumstances he didn't make it, instead we had a dinner together and he had a load of stories that i really enjoyed to listen to and he speaks Indonesian pretty well which is impressed me because he just spent 2 months in Indonesia!

Kamel is an incredibly interesting guy. He can talk! I mean... we just kept talking all the time we were together. It was a pleasure having him stay with us and we just feel sorry we didn't have the time to show him around any better. I highly recommend him.

yes.. we didn't share a lot during the gathering this time. He is a very nice boy.Surfed our couch,oups floor for 3 or 4 day..we were living in the bushes in a bungalow in Thailand.However he seemed happy enough.Then he found us in S.Korea and asked for the floor again but he had to have his own bedroom this time..Luxury sucks...He is very brave and is very interested what is happening around..You should ask him to do break dancing for you.Incredible..Now I am looking for an interesting place to go so he might come and visit me again.

Well, I suppose to host him, but i was away when he arrived in KK, and by luck (he didnt get to hitch hike to Sandakan on the 3rd April, and that's the day I came back from my duty travel) we finally met! He's a cool persona dn very easy to get along with! Wish had more time with him and just hang out and teach him more local words... adn yeah, who knows, by luck, he will return to Sabah soon before he settle down.. hehehehe.. ;)

I had an evening with Kamel with beautiful and englightening conversations. We talked about our travel experiences, the different cultures in Malaysia and in Morocco, politics :), and much more. Kamel's passionate talking about people of North Africa as he is one himself. I will let you know when I (eventually) make my way to Morocco, so u can give me those useful contacts :)

I think his quest of making the world laugh by having himself mostly looking like a cretin is very noble.

Now I know why his family is in celebration while he's away for 2 years.

And oh, he's not as silly as he looks.

Kamel is very easy to get along with. His travel stories are full of excitement and very inspiring. One of my best experiences hosting with CS. I learned a lot about Berbere culture from him.

Kamel is an interesting person to talk to. We enjoyed hosting him. We exchanged views about life, religion and history. The best part is when Kamel unselfishly helped fixed my computer and downloaded some files for my movies. We also worked on my website and he gave me tips on how to maintain them. He is an excellent teacher. I wish Kamel a safe journey in his quest to know the better side of the world.

 

This dude is amazing! Not many people have done or could do what he is doing in these 1.5 years. But most important of all, i love the way he thinks! Awesome dude man. Never has such a small couch space contributed so much by so little to my life!

Kamel is officially the longest surfer i have hosted.What else can i say that has not already been said by the countless other people that kamel has met.He's polite, helpful, independent, repectful and takes the effort to know each and everyone of my family member and tell them stories about his travals,helping my sister n neighbour with their computer problems n just staying out late.If you get a chance to host him ask about the white house special security forces.:)

I met Kamel briefly in Kuala Lumpur. he's a delightful person to talk to! I only wish we had more time to hang out. I'm sure we will!

 

Top class guy, has been around the world and has some good stories to share

 

Kamel and I met through Mira (another CSer) while he was in Christchurch visiting. It was really interesting to hear about his travels and just made my feet itch so bad. I wish I could travel as much as he had/will! Hope to meet you sometime in France/Morocco!

Kamel encouraged me to jump into the couchsurfing world and I took his advice and have just organised to stay with someone in KL!

Kamel and I had an instantly strong affinity and ended up hitch-hiking and CouchSurfing together for many days. Spending so much time non-stop with one person can be difficult with an old friend, let alone someone you've only known for a few days. But Kamel is a rare find. He is humble and wise, imperturbably mellow, enjoyably eccentric, and has an inexhaustible supply of great stories. I couldn't have picked a better person to share a long adventure with.

Kamel sailed into my life (he came by boat) and after spending some time together I found that my eyes had been opened a little more (living in the south pacific it is hard to know what it is like in other countries)Kamel is welcome back any time

He really mades my days at the collective. Cool walk on the beach, nice and long talks.
We exchange lot s of vocabulary from our past. A really open mind person who i ll be really keen to have travel much more with, and can not wait to insult again in france!

We have just eaten together with 2 other girls from CS. It was a great time; unfortunately we didn't have the time to discuss really about a lot's of things. I find Kamel very interesting, open minded and he is able to share him experience.
We spook about Morocco, Africa, Islam, religion. I hope, that in the future I will see another time Kamel, because him way of thinking and living interest me.
In conclusion it's a good guy!

Fantastic guy who's really into CS, always polite and fun to talk with. We went to see a basketball game. Kamel didn't fully support the NZ side on the night, so I didn't wake him up the next morning even though he asked me to :p (just kidding about the NZ thing!!)

We had a very good time in Mary's place. Kamel is definitely a very nice, funny and trustworthy guy, and interested to learn the more about every culture he meets in his world trip! See ya soon!

Happy me to have met Kamel! Together we managed to keep a French atmosphere to the NZ collective, he listens to the best music ever, we watched bad movies and imposed our french cooking to the collective!

 

We danced the night away in Nelson and he kindly walked me home. Very nice young man. I wish we had the time to talk more. Down the road some day we shall meet again under a sky with brighter days. It only getter better all the time.

Kamel's fantastic...a friendly guys whos enthusiastic, helpful and a gem of a person..hanging out with him has been fun and i would vouch for Kamel to take care of my kitchen anyday...he leaves them spotless and sparkling!! Talking to him about travel was great..he is a very open person and knows a lot...I hope to catch up with him soon!!
It was wonderful to host him in Mumbai an catch up with him and his travels so far :)

 

Poor Kamel got hosted by a very tired Kirsty, but he survived it well!! A lot of our time together was spent watching other people doing crazy things at the World Busker's fest, however the best parts where when we had the chance to talk. Kamel has a lot to offer the world and time spent with him is certainly time well spent. He's extremely considerate - I'm still blown away that he videoed the busker's show that we went so my dad could see it.I look forward to our running in France in search of farmers and sheep Kamel! :P

 

Kamel was my partner in code/crime at the Nelson collective. He is always helpfull, very funny and has a keen eye on cultural differences. You can only be jealous about all of his travels. But don't let him pick the music! ;-p

Kamel was friendly and made me feel welcomed at the CS collective in Nelson. Even if he didn't appreciate my lime photo as art, I still had a great time chatting with him. Hope to see him again in my travels!
