Kellen Kjera

 

Kellen was a great guest. Both Mike and he cooked a fabulous dinner together... we especially loved the tofu a la nutritional yeast. He is an inspiring man with a great sense of humour and joie de vie. He is a must on your couch!

 

If you are in over your head, Kellen is a good guy to have on your side! Easy going and helpful.

Kellan is very positive and ambitious. He's also a great photographer, he even showed me some cool face tricks.

It was a blast hanging out with you Kellan, we were definitely partying like rockstars for a Wednesday night. I enjoyed your dinner stories over sushi, or in your case, ramen. The comedy show was pretty awesome and who can forget your Bohemian Rhapsody song, it was pretty memorable. I'm sure you've acquired some fans in that bar. ;)

 

I met this gent on the dance floor - or, more precisely, on pavement at a Salsa dancing festival. He was a vibrant, silly dance partner, and delightful to spend time with. I took his Salsa dancing virginity! Yee haw! We've since met for a housewarming party and a bit of Karaoke and another round of Salsa dancing... His roommate, Aiden, is a gentleman and I enjoyed our short time visiting. And if you want to make Kellen happy, take him out to Karaoke!

 

I'm so glad Kellen stopped by my place on his way across the Northwest! He's a wonderful person, a talented photographer, and a lively spirit. We had a great time discussing life and travel, listening to my mom's Peruvian folk band, and wandering around Spokane. It was a pleasure having him around and I would not hesitate to host him again! See you soon (in Portland?)!

Kellen is wonderful - duh!

Kellan was my first couchsurfing guest, and I have to say that it was an excellent experience! I wish there had been more to do here, but I had fun with him, especially all the pictures he took of me.....By the way....he is an excellent photographer! A real professional!!

 

Graceland ran a super shabby second when put up against nighttime bike rides with the Memphis wolf pack, catching giant bugs, and taking pictures of urban acrobats on the Grizzlies training court, which is really how it ought to be done. When Kellen goes on his cross-country road trip later this year, y'all better welcome him with open arms, as he is the genuine deal.

You gotta love a man who will kill a huge bug that is wandering around in your suitcase. Kellen is a cool guy, who can't sit still - you gotta be fast to keep up with him! And hey, if you have any energy left, he has a huge trampolin in his backyard! I wanna come back and try it again and spend more time with Kellen as well:)

 

Kellen is a true friend in need. When it comes to truck size bugs or locked in car keys Kellen is to the rescue. He has a dog that knows tricks, a huge trampoline in the backyard, a mean lean bird killing machine of a cat - AND he know's the best breakfast place in town.. All this in 24 hours - what more do you need? Oh and he's really nice as well. :0)

Kellen! We had a 3-hour photo shoot featuring unicorns AND dogs...Great dude, great place to crash, awesome time all around.

The talented Kellen hosted us in his homey home for 3 nights while we enjoyed the sights and sounds of Memphis. He was really busy with work so we didn't get to see too much of each other but he was really helpful with directions and things to do and see and he made us feel right at home. Cordova and Barney kept us entertained as well....and his photography is AMAZING! You better come photograph our wedding!

Kellen took me to eat some incredibly delicious food and taught me about the electric tea boiler and how to change a tyre. Altogether lovely.

Kellen is a great guy - charming and trustworthy. I couldn't recommend a better person for all of couchsurfing.

 

I stayed with Kellen for two nights on my way across America. He took me out with his friends to a club one night which was a good time. Most of all, his photography is amazing and he inspires me to take my own photography to a new level.

He is a very interesting guy. It's a pity we didn't have more time to get to know him better. Thanks for the hospitality! :-)

Wow! Kellen is an extremely generous, enthusiastic, talented and interesting person. His house is really cute, as well. We had great times playing charades with him and his friend Brooks, going to a baseball game and jumping down from lots of steps for his photos. One advice: wear shoes with shock absorbing soles!

Kellen is a role model for me and everyone he meets. His photography is amazing, and he always knows how to make you laugh even in the most dire circumstances. I am proud to call him my friend.

Kellen was so gracious to me, even though there was a bit of craziness leading up to staying with him. He is an awesome photographer and an awesome guy. He has a very kind heart. :)

 

Wow, Kellen is a super cool person. All around great guy with a very good heart. He has a super cool dog, cat, and a trampoleen in his backyard! This guy is a must for anyone in the Memphis area.

You could roll the dice or you could stay with Kellen. One of the nicest and most interesting people you're likely to meet on your travels, Kellen is tres cool.

Kellen is a fantastic guy! I would highly recommend meeting him if you get the chance. Make sure you ask him about his Polish sausage collection :)

 

Kellen is an extremely talent photographer. My experience of Memphis would not have been the same without him.

 

a photographing GENIUS! I crashed with Kellen for only a few days but it was long enough to realize he'll be a friend for life. Kellen is a guy you can't help but connect with. I love this guy!!
