Kelly invited Ricardo and I for a visit to the beach. We enjoyed her company tremendously. Each day Zuko would accompany us to the beach! Kelly's hospitality is unparalleled!

We all know you are under lots of emotional and financial stress. You forgot to mention you and Amelia were here 9 weeks. While supposedly house sitting, you allowed others to stay here, left the place unattended (see Ref from Chris Johnson) and I got robbed too, (though Kelly is not a suspect). Yes Kelly is a wonderful promoter and LOVES to party. I can only offer forgiveness, paz, luz, y amor. Bless you on your journey.

Kelly lives in a beautiful house that is just a stone-throw away from the beach. She keeps the place very clean and the atmosphere very chill. I had a great time meeting her, her friends, and another couchsurfer who was staying there at the time. Kelly was even nice enough to show off her culinary skills with a delicious pasta dinner. Bonus for providing snakes & bats! ;-)

We stayed with Kelly and Amelia in Costa Rica for a week and I have to say this was one of my best couchsurfing experiences. Maybe that's because they gave us just what we needed: a real shower, an immensely inviting house, some good partying (and the opportunity to perform at the local karaoke...), the beach the monkeys, everything about Playa Pelada is perfect!

Kelly and Amelia are open and generous people, fun and smart to talk with, and inspirational.

I leave sad, thankful and rested! Thank you so much.

Me and my girlfriend had been traveling in central america and we had been having a great time, but when we got to costa rica it was not the same.
We wanted to leave Costa Rica as soon as possible, fortunately we met Kelly and Amelia they were our hosts for a week and changed completely the view I had about costa rica I enjoyed the time I was there.

 

Kelly is a great member of the CS community in CR, always active and proposing interesting things. The great part comes when you get to meet the awesome personality she has. I met her briefly in Nosara but then I was lucky enough to host her for some excellent days! She was lots of fun, with deep conversations, tarot readings, parties... Kelly is the finest of hosts. Two days with her in Playa Pelada were easily the best of my 8 days total in country. She bent over backwards to share the wonders of her life and locale, and is the epitome of couch-surfage sweetness.

 

I think that meeting Kelly was kismet. From her experience as an epidemiologist in Sub-Saharan Africa to her journalistic progress I think she is literally one of the most interesting people I have ever met.

i clearly had a reason to be at the couchsurfer den. i had left my bags there from the previous trip. also, when i returned to the house, the dogs hadnt been fed, and also had no water, and a broken water bucket after three days of no one at the house. so when i returned to the house, i let myself in, fed the dogs, found a new pot to use for water, got my bags, and used the computer, skype, to call my mother for mothers day. ive also tried to contact kelly to resolve this situation many times and even went back to the house, but have had no reponse or contact. i was also working 1 km away at an organic farm with no ability or intentions of staying under the radar. with any logical thinking one can easily see that i have done nothing wrong.

kelly was good company, and though our time was brief, I am thankful to have had the chance to meet. kelly is full of goodness to share....meet her and you will get some.

Kelly is an intense highly globally connected do-er!
She is very independent and knows how to flow into the most movin' and shakin' of places!

 

Extremely Positive! I adore Kelly! We met in Alaska and when she came to California she ended up spending two long weekends with me and OMG, we had such a wonderful time! I consider Kelly to be a real friend and will always have my home open for her. There is always fun on the horizon when I know we are going to meet again!

 

There wasn't a Dull moment with Kelly! I will never tire of her stories or the accents she puts on while she tells them!

Kelly is a great member of the CS organization! I met her at the HQ in Berkeley over a few days; solid! Thank you so much, hope to see you again.

 

We met Kelly at her Acro-yoga/Sushi party in Marin during Decom weekend, and had the best time!! She talked with us for a while, and we're looking forward to more events with her!

 

Kelly was definitely one of the most flamboyant personalities at the Alaska collective. Being my roomie after a certain foot-incident, we got along quite well! When she tells you not to talk to her in the morning until she has had coffee, she means it though! :) I recommend not finding out what happens when there is no coffee in tha house for a few days! Though even when you do, she still has a sense of humor, so go ahead and laugh at her, as long as you're out of hitting distance :)
I have lots of respect for all the great things Kelly has done in her life to make this planet a better place for all of us!
She also makes a great talentshow host!

 

In Alaska I shared an understanding and a giggle with Kelly about the differences between life in first world convention and life in the dark continent ;-) We later met for some evening entertainment in Las Vegas. Her stamina put me to shame and after I had long passed out she regaled me with her successes on the gambling floor and I bid her a fond adieu til the next time!

The world is a better place because Kelly is in it. She has an endless number of crazy stories so make sure you get to hear some. She is a passionate and enthusiastic person that speaks her mind. I really enjoyed getting to know her while jammin' on the piano, taking a day trip to Seldovia, and during a tarot reading. I miss being around her and hope to see her soon.

 

A true sister to me on the journey that we call life! Kelly and I recognised immediately at the Alaska Collective that we were one and the same (although her zany stories far outweigh mine!). She is incredibly intelligent, with enough life experiences to keep you entertained for years. She is generous, fun, independent and a force to be reckoned with. I cant wait for our paths to keep crossing!

 

Kelly is a fantastic resource and positively committed to the success of this fun voluntary social experiment known as CouchSurfing.

Our relation began as I offered a critical ear to the fundraising plan being developed to support this awesome resource.

Even hobbled by a temporary locomotive problem, she was ALL over town and making sure all had a good time!

She can also keep up in a quick turning philosphical discussion which I think is important.

Kelly is one of the most interesting people I have ever met. She grabbed life by the horn early on and never let go. This tornado's daughter leaves not destruction but clarity in her wake. She sees what is needed and uses her insight to make it happen. A truly inspiring woman..may you live in eternal happiness and good health, oh wise woman ; j

 

She is a fellow searcher for truth and I am happy to be able to share this for a while on our paths.

 

Kelly is an inspiration to me; she's centered, mind-blowingly intelligent, generous and compassionate. She makes me laugh until my sides hurt. I am so grateful that we met at the Alaska Collective, that we hitched in high style to Cooper Landing together and that we continue to stay in touch. I look forward to helping her further the FUNdraising strategy for CouchSurfing.

I enjoyed meeting Kelly at the Alaska CS Collective. Kelly is so friendly, dynamic and lively: I enjoyed hearing the stories of her travels and adventures!

 

Kelly is genuine, caring and great fun! I've had a great time getting to know her through Zen Tarot readings and saumersault races down steep hills in Alaska.

 

I know her by her witty commentary and her demure smile, her sharp mind, her thoughtful and informational emails, her talent at karaoke and her penchant for getting silly. She's a lot of fun but when push comes to shove, she's a responsible person, independent and full of fire. I am grateful I had the opportunity to learn from her.
