I can offer you a bunk bed if there are two of you, and there's also a lot of floor space in the private bedroom. There are usually at least two free beds, often more. The bathroom is shared.
My house looks something like this
I'm currently living with my family (mom, sister, and sometimes a brother or two). My family is possibly the nicest group of people in the world. We've got a spacious house and can probably offer you your own bedroom with bunk beds and lots of floor space. I live in Katy, a suburb in the West of Houston. Houston's a sprawling city so we're far from the center, about 45 minutes driving. Public transportation, like in most of Houston, is crap. I do go to the center fairly often for the baseball games, though, so I might be able to offer you a ride. We can also offer you a shower and general hospitality. I don't require you to write my name or prove that you've read my profile by titling your request something like "armadillo shit." I appreciate personalized requests as much as the next guy, but you can copy/paste your request and call me Gordon if you want, I'll still host you. Although if you're reading this, you're not one of those people so I guess it's not worth mentioning. I don't ask for anything in return, but I do appreciate a nice note because I like to save them :)
I've got a small cat but she's hypoallergenic, so if you're allergic to cats then you don't have to worry! If you have a fear of things that are adorable, you may want to think twice.
Smokers are welcome to smoke on the porch with my mom. If you smoke inside then I will happily sew your lips shut.

My Bucket List
I watched the movie "The Bucket List." I didn't like it very much, but I liked the idea. So, I made my own bucket list (in progress):

- Become fluent in French (check!)
- Become fluent in at least one other language
- Live in France (check!)
- Live in at least one other country
- Overcome my fear of heights
- Swim in every ocean
- Walk on every continent
- Visit 50 countries
- Cycle or hike across the country
- Hike the Appalachian trail, or at least attempt to
- Write a book
- Get married and have children to love and grow old with
- Have an extended trip around the world
- White water rafting in the Grand Canyon
- Throw a dart at a map and go there the next day
- Hang Glide
Hitchhiking

Years ago, I remember talking with my brother about taking a trip around the US by hitchhiking. Like many other things, it was just a crazy dream that we never lived out. Since that day, however, I’ve met many hitchhikers during my travels and have been inspired to join the club. After my first 30 or so rides, I realized that I was forgetting all of the interesting people I’d met. So, I started keeping records. See more at my site.

Personal DescriptionMy name is Kevin and I'm a French teacher when I'm not traveling. More than that, I'm a dreamer. I have a passion for traveling and experiencing other cultures. I’m half Iranian but I’m not really in touch with my culture, I regret that. I’m kind of a nerd. I have good intentions, but I don’t do as much as I should. I majored in French, which I began studying to impress my French girlfriend when I was 13. We lasted a whole month. I loved her with all my heart. There’s so much I want to study, from Persian to Astronomy. Sometimes I wish I could go back to school and stay forever, or that I could always be 20. But I'm 24. I have a hell of a lot of plans and hopes for the future and, say, about another 60 years to live them out. I have a big forehead, bushy eyebrows, a skinny body, and a big Persian nose “that doesn’t match my curvy lips.” I have a habit of starting things and not finishing them. How I Participate in CSI host nearly anyone who asks, as long as I'm available. I surf with old people, young people, gay people, straight people, single people, family people, religious people, atheist people, rich people, poor people and all people. It has become a normal part of my travels and lifestyle. I host a book exchange for my guests, so bring books. CouchSurfing ExperienceI used to only surf because my roommates weren't into hosting but, ironically, now that I'm living with my family I'm able to host a lot more. Never had a negative experience. InterestsTraveling, reading, learning about other cultures, writing, movies, French, photography.
I’m not athletic but I love sports. I’m not musically talented but I love music. I like watching movies, reading books, and reading newspapers. I like to learn about the world – not just governments and cultures, but individual people as well. I like to read about other countries whenever I hear something new about them. Every once in a while I find a great travel story or two online, constantly read their blogs, and pretend I’m with them.PhilosophyDon't worry. Be happy.Music, Movies, BooksLes Miserables, Count of Monte Cristo, The Illusionist, Shawshank Redemption, Dave Matthews Band
I'm not really picky and like almost everything, but I do listen to some things more than others. If you surf with me, I'd love to hear some of your music recommendations. I'm always interested in hearing new music.
Here is my Last.FM profile, if you're interested.Types of People I enjoyI'm a pretty easygoing guy and can't think of anyone I hate. I do like the kind of people who couchsurf because we generally have similar values, and they are generally awesome.Teach, Learn, ShareI'd like to learn: cooking, photography, languages, how to do a backflip.
I can teach: some limited French, and how to fold a shirt really fast. One Amazing Thing I've Seen or DoneAfter being dumped, I decided to walk the the pilgrimage from Porto, Portugal to Santiago de Compostela. It was a horrible experience, but was a little awesome in retrospect.Opinion on the CouchSurfing.org ProjectThis website desperately needs to be completely redesigned. The only thing that makes this site great is its community, which fortunately is the most important factor. If couchsurfing had the community that it has now, with the design and layout that tripping.com has, I would be a happy camper. In spite of that, I can't say enough good about couchsurfing. I just like to complain. What do these numbers mean?
This summary is not a replacement for reading references; it's a quick summary to help you get started. At a glance, you can see how many references a member has, and how many of them are positive, neutral, and negative.
In the second line, you'll see how many references came from people who hosted this member, surfed with them, and traveled with them. These numbers won't always add up to the total: some references are not categorized, and some may be categorized as more than one thing.
When viewing this summary, don't jump to conclusions! Things that are negative for one person may be positive for another, and vice versa. It's important to read references carefully and evaluate what that information means to you. References (124)124Positive 0Neutral 0Negative

From Brent Martin San Diego, United States Mar 21 Positive Kevin, a genuine example of a fine surfer!
This was the second family I've ever stayed with and am so glad I did. Kevin and his family were so welcoming and wonderful. I literally felt I belonged amongst them. I loved hanging out and out enjoyed all the little jokes we had.
He is a very interesting person and really made me think more in depth about CSing and traveling in general.
If you're in his neck of the woods or he's in yours, don't forget the chance to meet this awesome dude!
From Pascal Paré New Orleans, United States Mar 21 Positive Even though Kevin had drive all day, he was down to see what New Orleans had to offer at night. Since I already began to party before he got here, it was a pleasure to hang out with him 'til the morning. He was so kind to put my bike in his car to bring it home. He is a really nice person.
From Lily G. Gainesville, United States Mar 21 Positive Kevin was a wonderful Texan couchsurfer who stayed over a night. He's a friendly, enjoyable person who on top of that is an expert in French with lots of stories to tell! We shared great talks and laughs and definitely hope to see him around soon whether here in Florida or in Texas!
From Laura Bedford Christchurch, New Zealand Mar 16 Positive Kevin was a great guest! We stayed up all night exchanging CS stories and chatting about our goals, dreams, etc. He has a great taste in music (and wine) and I highly recommend hosting him! I hope to see/host/surf with him again!
From Denis P Houston, United States Mar 6 Positive Kevin organizes the Language Exchange/Polyglot meetup and does a great job of engaging different people. He's easy to talk to and eager to learn more about language in general.
