Shared Room: NoYou can sleep on a couch, in your sleeping bag. It is a private room, not shared with other people. The room has one bed, several armchairs, a synthesizer, and one really old and grotesquely small yellow TV :) I live in Pancevo, a town which is practically a part of Belgrade. If you plan a trip to Serbian capital, count on my couch as well. It's easy to use Pancevo as a starting point to Belgrade.
Pancevo itself is a lovely town, with its old architecture, and a vibrant cultural scene, one of the most vibrant ones in Serbia these days. Check out the film I made about Pancevo in 2004 (http://krcadinac.com/a_tale_of_a_town.html).
I live in a house with my parents, upstairs. Downstairs is a small apartment just for visitors and couchsurfers, like you ;) I also have a big swing in my backyard. Oct 7  Positive Uros accepted to host me on a very short notice, after i was thinking about not visiting Belgrade any more. He answered in French to my request and we spoke French together all the time. His level is good! I staid a short time in Pancevo but had time to meet some or Uros' friends, then visit the Capital of Serbia with one of them, and then visit Pancevo by myself. I liked this meeting and this time because of interesting discussions we had, and because of good hospitality of this Serbian family. Being in Pancevo and going to Belgrade by bike was not a really good idea (place is not so bike friendly, and then the days are short in October) but going there by bus is always possible and Uros prepared a notice to explain how to do it! Oct 31, 2008 Positive Uros is a very open minded, interesting person, a traveler from the bottom of his heart! Curious about everything, especially all the different cultures and the amazing people in this world.
He came to Vienna to visit a common friend (that's how we met), borrowed my bike and we spent an incredibly nice night talking after a great Jazz concert.
I hope to see him again in the future (maybe while I'm traveling to find my roots in Serbia)
