Krista Sande-Kerback

I surfed Krista's place during 2 days, she was very kind hosting me as she was so busy with her work. However, we found some time to share a diner with some of her friends and we eat some delicious japanese food. Krista is a really nice host you should meet, really involved in CS events and so on.

Krista hosted us for 3 nights in NYC in October. She organized a potluck on our first night and took us to a big CS dinner the following night. She helped us to get to know the city by providing us tips on where to go. She was friendly and her couch was soft!

Krista was my first host in this whole couchsurfing experiment and was very re-assuring:) She was full of interesting stories and suggestions and her couch was very comfortable. She made the experience really positive!

Krista was my first host ever. She shared her house, her food, everything with me, made me really feel at home in those three first days of my stay in rainy NY. Thank you Krista for a wonderful time, if you ever get to go to Portugal, I'll make sure that, at the very least, we share a good bottle of port wine. Thank you for everything.

Krista was my first host, my first experience of CS! I'm so glad and thankful, Krista is generous and invited me to hung out with her and friends! Thanks Krista, I'll really enjoyed to surf with you!

Krista was so nice, because she hosted us while she was busy with work. She is a very active member of the CS, so through her we met some other Csers, and had a great time with them.

I first met Krista at a CS event at the MOMA about a year back and have bumped into her at various events since then, including her own wine and cheese houseparty. Also, realized she is a fellow Fulbrighter! Hope to see you at more events!

Even if we have not a lot interact because Krista was very busy she open to me her house, set a welcome diner with a friend and was always present to give good advice and open the door after my tourist days in the big apple :)

Krista is a nice girl! It's a great to have a fellow "Finn" in the CS circles of NYC who knows all about "sisu"! :)

 

I met Krista on a Couchsurfing Party in New York and was lucky to stay with her for a couple of nights. I really enjoyed staying with her because she is a really great host, who makes you feel at home right away. I want to thank her for having me and wishing her all the best.

Krista was very sweet to have me and my friend staying at her place even though she had just moved in. Had lots of fun at her birthday, meeting other couchsurfers.

 

Krista was really sweet to let my friend and me stay in her cool apartment in Spanish Harlem, even though she had just moved in and was celebrating her birthday. We met a bunch of other cool people there!

 

Krista was part of the Atlantic CIty Weekend extravaganza of eating way too much buffet, shopping, slot machine and lounging at the beach. A mainstay of the local CS scene whom seems to have only good words said about her by just about everyone it was great to get to know her this weekend. Cheers!

I enjoyed hosting Krista and her boyfriend Pete. They are both very friendly and down to earth. I was nice hanging out with them over the few days that they stayed with me.

 

Krista surfed at my place and I enjoyed spending the short time I had with her and Pete. I wish I could've spent more time with them. She's very considerate, intelligent and well-traveled. Host her!

I got to know Krista a little on a backyard-party in NY, and she really seems like a nice girl! Hope you'll come visiting Norway soon!:)

Krista was a fun person to do a scavenger hunt with - and great at finding important locations, including the subway! We also got to chat some afterwards. Hope to run into her at future events.

 

Krista is a sweet girl. We met at Dim Sum last month and then hung out during couchcrash and had an awesome dinner at a german restaurant.

Krista & I drove up to the Berkshires together and spent a gorgeous & great weekend with two dozen other CS-ers. She's great company; it was fun hiking, wine tasting & playing charades with her and listening to her stories of Dartmouth & Germany. Certainly hit me up the next time you're in DC!

 

Krista is always down for almost anything when it comes to CS events and has been an active CSer from old times, that makes her an authority on the matter. She's especially outdoorsy, I've had the chance to meet her in different occasions and have always had a blast. Also, she's a big fan of my green sexy shorts! (Krista, those are going on an auction in the next few days, stay tuned, you may be the happy winner!)

I've had a chance to hang out with Krista at two CS meetups during NYC Couch Crash Fest and both times I've really enjoyed talking to her. She knows a lot about New York and Jersey (represent!) and it really helpful. She also has a great sense of humor and fun stories to tell. I'm looking forward to seeing you at a lot more meetups in the future!

Krista is a cool girl -- one of the few to come to my rather testosterone-filled 4th of July party. It's great to have another female in the mostly male Jersey crew, so I hope to see a lot more of her!

 

Krista brought me to a FABULOUS couchsurfing potluck on my first night staying with her. I had a blast meeting all the other fab surfers and watching our host give pole dancing lessons. The next day we took a relaxing dip in the pool and spent sometime hanging out with George Washington in a cute little park.

Thank for showing me around darlin- keep up your jet setting, but remember to rest =)

 

Krista came to see my housemate but for one day that Laura wasn't feeling well, I got to show this intelligent, well traveled young lady around Greensboro. She surprised me by finding wines that I liked (I don't drink!) and now that I have been tempted by the dark side, I may have to try that 20 yr. old Port again! Me! Wine tasting? Who'da thunk it :) We walked around downtown Greensboro, threw superballs at the wall of sound and had a great time :)

 

We enjoyed a relaxing day at the river together. Krista is a very positive traveler. She always had something great & optimistic to say about everything!!! You can tell this sweet girl enjoys life and makes the best out of every situation. We look forward to seeing her again in some of those fun CS parties in NYC.

I really have enjoyed getting to know Kristia more of these past few months. She's very easy going and has a great sense of humor. If you get a chance to hang out with her, take it =)

Krista is very nice, lovely and easy going person. I met her after i read her post about going to Rubin museum. I loved the fact that you can get some drinks at the museum!! Then we hanged out at a nice village bar for a couple of drinks. I had a really nice time with her, hope that i will see her again either here or in Syria.

 

I met Krista and Soubhi at Rubin museum. She was very eager to learn about the Himalayan art and was very interested in bits n peices of information that I had about the Himalyan Art & my culture. We had nice conversations over some drinks afterwards. It was funny that for the first time ever I was wandering around Hoboken in pouring rain to find a coffee shop on a Friday night!

I hope to see her in future NYC gatherings and may be in some hiking trips too :)

 

For the short time that Krista lived in Seattle, she actively participated in our CS gatherings, and I was blessed with the opportunity to hear a little of her story. We have a lot in common, and I sincerely appreciate her perfect combo of strong faith and open-minded interest in the world. With her dedication to advancing the CS cause, she is certainly prime material for nomadic ambassadorship. I hope we'll have a chance to see you again here in Seattle, Krista!

Krista and I had nice conversations and I hope we meet again. Perhapes I can make it to NY before she works somewhere else!

 

I always wanted to talk to Krista more because she seemed so interesting, but we never got the chance. She just radiated light and happiness and made everyone around her smile.

Sitting at the same restaurant table in a CS group event (that she, despite being from out of town, set up!) just wasn't enough "Krista exposure" for me--between excellent teas and 20 or more "Wow!" cheeses to accompany my black grapes, we were well on our way to a foodgasm... A bit more shopping together and we were ready to take over the whole house for our own inspired dinner for 7... several hours later in the evening, hot tubs, hot conversation topics, hot soup, and non- hot fish were shared. She even braved icky asparagus!! Pretty much any time she's not bound to her computer for work, you can safely bet Krista is having a good time and making great conversation. She's just awesome! I'll definitely be seeking her out if she and I are having extended travels in the same region again.

 

Krista is awesome. She's traveled, witty, intelligent, open-minded, enthusiastic, and dedicated -- everything you could want in a promoter of CS. Oh, she's kinda fun to hang out with, too.

Its amazing how you can sit next to random folk @ a CS Meeting and have a conversations that go right up both of your alleys.

Krista was lots of fun to talk to and I was glad that we got to talking about our respective life journeys. She's great fun, got glowing energy and also a depth thats not always included.

Krista is great. She totally put up with my craziness all weekend long. She's always up for a good time – anything from dancing the night away to hanging at the local coffeeshop over a good cup of chai and conversation.

Krista managed to take a break from her busy working schedule to enjoy a part of the city. Nice conversations, always pleasant with such a well-traveled person!

 

We walked, talked and ate together. Her visit was nice, but way too short and it's a shame work unexpectedly sucked her away for half the time. Stupid jobs! But we had a good time the rest of her stay. See you back in NYC!

 

Krista is probably the person with the busiest social calendar that I know! She is always doing something exiting and going somewhere new. Needless to say, she is very outgoing but at the same time very laid back and easy to get along with. She is very well travelled, well spoken and can talk about anything with anyone. Krista is an active CS and is liked by everyone! If you get a chance to hang out with her, I can assure you: you will have a wonderful time!

 

Krista was one of the kind people who contacted me when I was "down and out" in NYC. She is sweet and intelligent and I'm sure you'll have a great time if you surf with her!

It was simply awesome meeting Krista and hanging out with her. She is a very interesting person and easy to get along with. She has traveled immensely, and has many wonderful experiences to share. Kristen is an awesome person, I had the pleasure of hanging out with her at a poetry slam in NYC and a house party in Stamford along with a few run-ins at Revival and she's definitely a good girl to know.

I met Krista at a Thursday event with my friend Dagan. We talked a while and it was comfortable talking to her and meeting her other CS friends. My experience with Krista was very nice and hope to meet up again someday.

I had a number of conversations with Krista at CS events and she is always sweet and interesting, too bad she lives in NJ and often has to leave CS events early to make it back home.

 

There are way to many things I love about Krista and this area is so very, very small. I love that she is so very organized, responsible and that she really knows her mind. I love that she knows how to have fun and relax and just flow with the group. And how she can teach without saying a word. You Rock Krista I'm so glad we get to hang out.

You know, not that we hang out even more, and we actually get to sit down and talk a bit, there isn't a thing about the above that I'd change, only to say this Krista is all that and more.

Krista and I met for dinner while I was traveling through New York on interviews. She's a first-rate person--the sort you feel fortunate to meet in a new town.

She's great, a hard worker and an active member of the couchsurfing-community. Really enjoyed hanging out with her!

 

Krista is a wonderful woman and a great CSer. Both of us are frequent memebers of the NYC group, although we're from NJ. She's a lot of fun to talk to, and I was glad to hear about her couch surfing experiences in Germany.

Krista was so kind to meet me up in NYC, we walked around and enjoyed a dinner with other CSers. She works as management consultant and looks like a very busy working girl. I think she's elegant, intelligent and serious in her job. I think you can trust in her and... I would let her manage my money!

Krista was very nice to talk to. I'm interested in learning more about her German experiences and her Norwegian background. Her people founded my neighborhood! We'll definitely catch up at some other strange NY gathering.

Krista is very nice and an excellent swimmer to boot. She's a great conversationalist and a lot of fun to hang out with over a drink, dinner, or any other social prop (ok ok even without the props still a ton of fun).

We discovered her dancing skills at a Russian Lounge in Brooklyn. Her spirit is so bright, it makes you smile when you interact with her.

Krista and I met at the News in Boston for the NYC Invasion weekend. We both surfed with the same host. Then we walked around Boston searching for other CSers and the Freedom trail. She is a very intelligent woman with some good travel stories.

 

I went to a fondue dinner that Krista organized earlier this year, and hopes she can organize more events soon! And yes, one of these days I will try to do something for the CS crew at the zoo. :)

I am looking forward to meeting her again. We had such an interesting conversation and I hope we will meet up more often!

A lovely lady, I'm glad we've had the chance to hang out this past week -- after good times over beer and yuuummmyyyy pizza I've realized she's a bit of a couch-surfing role model! :o}

Krista seems to b one of the few active CS members,getting people together for meals and nights out. I went to two of those events while i was in town, and had a great time. Everyone was very friendly and the atmosphere was really nice. i just wished (once again krista !) that i had got to talk to her a bit more... but it will b for next time !

Krista is super sweet, polite and mature beyond her age. I consider her highly trustworthy and am sure she will be a great guest to anyone who host her.

I have known Krista for about a year and a half. It's great knowing another American who has lived overseas for a lengthy period of time. We have had many stimulating conversations.

We met at the party. She is very friendly. We danced for a bit and I had a great time talking to her.

We rocked some scandanavian food in the village and caravaned to queens. she swooned me with her german. very smart, fun girl.

a great place to stay in Hamburg. I stayed at Krista's in late February 2006, with Weronika my friend. Krista is a very nice girl, always ready to help ! actually we contacted her on the same day we arrived and she hosted without any problem , so thanks a lot !
