ABOUT ME

Hello beautiful people!
As it says above, my name is Laura, and I am a lover of travel and life and bliss! I get joy out of very simple things and love NOTHING more than good conversation, good music, and dwelling in nature.
I am a music and art maker and adore spending my days being both productive as well as taking time to lie in a park somewhere and bask in the sun.
I have a very positive outlook and enjoy being around people who see the incredible beauty existing all around us, but can also appreciate people with all different perspectives on life, to help enlighten my own spirit.
Anywho, there are many more things I could say, but, for now, ill end this "all about you" by saying...I look forward to learning and teaching with you some time soon.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would love to host, though I only have a couch, no extra bed, so if you are fine with that, then shoot me a message

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had some wonderful couch surfing experiences in Berlin and Israel, and have hosted a few incredible individuals at my house in Toronto and at my cottage up in Muskoka. I hope to be couch surfing all over India the near future.

I have far too many interests to state here, but some include...
Music-- I sing, play the guitar, djembe and harmonica. I both busk in my home city, as well as throughout all of my travels, have played in a few bands, and listen to music constantly.

Art-- I am an avid photographer, love to sculpt, paint, sketch, and create mixed-media works. Art history was also a major part of my degree in University, so I love to visit galleries.

Theatre-- I used to act a fair amount, but recently have been more interested in attending performances than taking part in them...though I definitely intend to get back into it in the future.

Food-- I have recently become really interested in health and well being, and have started cooking a lot at home! Its pretty incredible and my largest influence is... http://mynewroots.blogspot.ca/

Dance-- I am always dancing...

Traveling-- well..its my greatest passion, I have worked since I was 15 to save in order to independently travel. I hope to see the whole world

Philanthropy-- I currently work in fundraising for Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto. I hope to do a lot of charity work in my up-coming travels to India and Nepal

Adventure-- I am always looking for new adventures! I love experiencing new sites and perspectives

Sports-- I love being active but, doing yoga, biking, skiing, dancing, playing tennis and volleyball are probably my favorite sports!

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I have been so fortunate to have had innumerable amazing experiences; however, one in particular was accidentally having dinner at a secret restaurant in Cairo with an Egyptian sugar cane lord, a belly-dancer who had been traveling the world for 10 years, a Swedish diplomat living in Dubai, and a representative at the US embassy in Saudi Arabia. I must say...the conversation had during this dinner, was some of the most interesting I have ever experienced.
