ABOUT ME

I was born and raised in Orange, CA but have been living in Taipei, Taiwan for over 2 years as an ESL teacher and love it! In 2012 my fiance and I had the opportunity to visit 20 countries together and couchsurfed through the majority of them. We met some pretty incredible people. I am very friendly and neat. I love to learn about different cultures and unintentionally butcher other languages. :)

Everything Happens for a Reason.

I believe everything and everyone that has been or is in my life is there for a reason. Whether it be to learn how to love, cry, or make me stronger, I look forward to it all.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Even though I have been a member for a few years now, I have had few experiences (and usually have stayed with friends, on their couches). I look forward to changing that! I am a very respectable guest and love to meet new people. I only hope I can return the hospitality that hosts have given me.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Honestly, I have only had one couch surfing request in the last three years (possibly due to the fact that I hardly login) and unfortunately I was out of town the weekend they had requested. I have had a wonderful experience with all the host I have stayed with!

Interests

Music (of all genres), my family/friends, bike riding, being in a park or museum, reading, writing, apple products, teaching, traveling, puppies, and so much more!

Music, Movies, and Books

My top five bands are Foo Fighters, Jimmy Eat World, Dear in the Headlights, Name Taken, and Forests.

Books/Authors: David Sedaris ("Naked"), Augusten Burroughs ("Dry, Magical Thinking"), and Truman Capote (In Cold Blood).

Movies: Mostly Comedies, Action, Indie, Disney/Pixar, and an occassional Chick Flick.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

An amazing thing I continue to do is live life positively and to the fullest. I have allowed myself to travel, move to another country, meet my music hero, fall in love and get engaged.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am willing to teach English. I have been teaching ESL in Taipei, Taiwan since Aug. 2010 and plan on continuing to teach in 2013.

I would love to learn a new language/skill/or craft. I am very open-minded and creative.
