I had a great time in Luis' house. Despite all the beers and parties, we have a similar way to see world(s) and couchsurfing, so we spent a lot of time speaking about... everything and anything (comme toujours!).

woah! it's been such a long time that i haven't met another hard-way traveller like him! staying with him it's just amazing.. i'm sure that i'll meet him again somewhere in the world, someday :)

Luis made Braga great. He took my friend Chris and I in and let us stay longer than planned, showed us both parts of the city and we had fun with backyard bbq's and talking with his international friends. His living arrangements are really great for surfing and he made us feel very welcome. I don't think he will be in Braga much longer though, but if you can catch him will he is than do so. Best of luck working and on the caravan Luis, hit me up if you need another person to join you or when in California!

 

Luis is a real genuine guy that surrounds himself with interesting and exciting people from around the world. He showed me around town and introduced me to a wide range of culture from him close group of friends. Shared alot of good travel stories and good wine.

Great guide guy of braga. He is so espontaneous that u can write 2 hours before arrival ;) thanks for shawing a different face of braga town! seriously u are welcome at my place...
and now I know why u didnt want to walk with us to the station :P

Luis hosted me in Braga, and it was really something wonderful! We went out to a bar with his friends to drink some wine and to talk, and all way long we had interesting talks about everything: politics, education, life in Italy and Portugal, travelling, and so on. It was very cool to have such a host like Luis is :-) Boa sorte, and see you someday in Russia!

 

He is amazing guy. It was a lots of similarities between us and our feelings about life and travels... we shared music and I hope to meet him again...somewhere, around the world :)

Luis and Diogo were at the end of a long trip and enjoyed my family's hospitality on the outskirts of Vienna. They are both curious and talkaktive but very uncomplicated- all in all a good company!

he and his friend asked me if i had a place to sleep for them but i hadnt any, so i sent them to my friend anna freudenthaler. nevertheless i joined them and we spend a nice weekend at annas :)

Luis truly loves the international student surrounding and is, a caring host with a spacious apartment who offered me to join in for a photography pilgrimage to Bom Jesus do Monte. Couchsurfing and -hosting is a lifestyle for Luis, he will be an outstanding host and enrich your life with CS-spirit!

A kind, interesting and generous person: all the qualities for a great friend. A very good photographer too.

luis has a passion for learning and living life that is unbeatable! He always has a smile on his face. I really enjoyed spending time and talking with him--vem aos estados unidos quando e possivel, okay? :-)

We would create a new position for this guy: CS Fiesta Ambassador. A kind and talkative guy always looking for fun. I have fear for the next meetings... at what time are we going to sleep??

I have been travelling in a lot of places in europe but so far the Portugal trip was the most awesome. Thanks to this great guy, I found in him and with his friends true friendship and values of a real wanderer. We had some meal on the street eating our own provisions, talked a lot of stuff from simple experiences to serious political opinions. What more could you ask with this guy? he is a companion that one should have if you want to explore the world. explore in the real sense of the world.

 

What can I say about one person that arrives late on our first meeting? Just joking! Luis was really nice and kind during all the weekend.Next time we should organize a little party!

Great person to talk to about interesting and fundamental issues but from a relaxed and laid back point of view. He suits the CS profile perfectly!

Luis is a crazy guy with a good spirit. We have met now (feb '08) three times (Braga, Porto and Geres) but unfortunately every time just had short talks. But I am sure we will meet more often to improve in that part.

We met at a CS-Meeting in Braga. I liked to talk with him, he is an interesting, funny and nice person with a lot of travel experience.
And if you are in Porto - say something, because you definitely should not miss the sunrise view from our terrace.

We met in Romania and again in Portugal, both times by chance. Always a pleasure to meet people with pathos for travelling! It's true: people alike have the chance to meet on this world,it's up to them if they realise it. Looking forward for the next meeting so we can talk more about this great world we live in!

i met this guy few times ago but i can say he is crazy!!! :) but he is interested in everything!! That's a cool man, helpfull and with a positive and human vision of the life!!

Luis is traveling around Europe with his friend (nick: pezinho) and they stopped in Maribor as well. I couldn't had offered them the accommodation. However, we managed to meet a day after they arrival, to show them arround the surroundings. We visited under Pohorje area, went to the farm turism in a wine road little bit outside of the city, also two French guys joined us and a Slovenian girl, all CS members. But not to get too broad: Luis is a great guy, very talkative, broad-minded, with (in mine opinion) a great sense of humor, so I hope I meet him again, best in Portugal or anywhere else in this wonderful world.

I meet Luis by chance, in the bus, when he came to visit my friend, but u can trust on him with any doubt!!he is full of positive energy!! i hope meet him another time.

Really open and helpful person!!!I spent two nights in his house and one day in sightseeing.He helped me and my friend to fulfilled our free time in various ways.Enormous POSITIVE!!!!!!

he hosted me and my other 8 frinds for two days and we spent amazing time with that guy..he was always ready to help us for everything.also he traveled around the city with us and guided:)everything was in its way thaks to him...

I was searching for a couch in Lisbon, and I got one... in Braga! :) But I don't regret that at all! Always willing to help in any way, concerned about his guest having a good time. I never forget scootering with him through Braga! See you again for a swim in Geres!

 

7/24 I can chat with Luis. He is like my best friend who I haven't met before! It's a pity he is living in Braga - he must live in Porto during my Erasmus time! Beyond being a good host, he is also such intelligent, sensetive, open minded, .. so on! Thank you Ian for talking about Luis all the time - yes he deserves it :)

Luis is a fantastic person, we had a great time body surfing with him, and partying with him, and he runs faster than anyone Anne has ever met, very funny, and very nice, and we would love to see him in Australia some time.

Luis & his buddy stayed in my home... ok, construction site really, not yet a home... but we managed to have fun anyway. Went out for drinks & music & played Spin the Bottle w/ Romanian high-schoolers... it was...surprisingly, fun... ask him how Romanian guys kiss :)

We met at the last CS meeting in Cluj. Luis is fun, and speaks quite well Romanian.

It was great to meet another couchsurfers in Maribor, Luis was one of the good surprises! We had interesting conversation and we exchanged during a great dinner. It was good times laughing together, he is a very cool and funny person, don't worry about it! I wish him good luck for his trip and maybe can we see each other after in France or Portugual? Luis and his friend where nice guests, helpful and polite. I had limited contact with them, but they left everything in order. I hope your trip turns out good.

Luís is a good party's partner. Very open mind. Sometimes he becames a revolutionary man when he takes to serious his revolutionary fights. I learned and I will learn a lot with him...

Well, if you want to discuss about geografy, travel and politics, this is the guy. he is very clever, open minded and he travels a lot. thas hes job. and mine also. so i thing we had nice experiences cause of the common subjects. He is very kind and it worth to get known him. I hope i´ll travel with him someday cause im sure it will be more rich and joyful trip. Im waiting you in brazil man.

Luis is a person really dedicated to being a great host, we spent 4 great days with him and his wonderful family and we hope to meet again someday.

Even though I never surfed with him, he told me good things about CouchSurfing and showed me the trips he had by couchsurfing.
He is a very nice man, very helpfull and with good hospitality.

"imported" is his nick name, cause he does not fit what i think a traditional portugese man living in porto is :) even he discovered some new things about portugal and the differences betwen nord and south - to some of them he get used (i wont tell your parents :) for the others, practice, practice, practice... about he bed, welcome to slovenia, here you wont need a double one :)

Surfing with Luis was a great experience. From his college in Braga to his home in Ribamar (not Ribimar), Luis truly opens up his life and his heart to his guests. And if you're really lucky, he'll let you shave his head!
He´s knowledgeable, informed and opinionated, which makes conversation awesome. Also expect to meet his family - wonderful people.

Luís is the most perfect host along with his family.The hospitality was impeccable,warm and he showed enthusiasm about people,music,films,travelling which was great inspiration for all of us.We look forward to seeing him again

a VERY late reference for my first surfer. Luis & Mariana were my first couchsurfers. I honestly have no bad things to say about them. We had a wonderful time in Helsinki: bike ride and some life/travel related discussions, they met some friends of mine + other surfers, we cooked some meals together, what else... it's been a while! I felt totally safe with leaving them in my flat when I had to work, nothing bad happened, and they did not wear out their welcome.

Luis came across as a honest person, with deep interest in geopraphy, languages and travelling. Safe travels to ya!
