Mandy Hixson

Fiery ball of positive reinforcement and powerhouse of organizational skills. This lady is fun, courageous, strong willed and openhearted. She will accomplish wonderful things in her lifetime.

 

Mandy is the fearless leader of the CS Collective in Samara.. She was really great in her correspondances and made me feel welcome even tho it was the last busy week of craziness before heading back to SF.. We even got to Zen out and do yoga together. I hope to see her again back home! Thanks again Mandy!

 

Mandy is a spontaneous person I wanted to get to know more since the first time I saw her, at this moment I can say she's a great host and friend.

If you want a great CS experience, Mandy is the one for sure!

Mandy is a super logistics person. She can find a solution to any problem, and she follows through more than anyone I know. If I still had my business, she would be running it for me. Somehow she combines GET THE JOB DONE with TACT AND DIPLOMACY. I wish she could teach me how to do both those things together! I really appreciate Mandy and her friendship. She is one of those CSers that shall always be remembered by me.

How can I describe Mandy? She’s a funny, intelligent and talkative girl. We shared amazing times talking about a lot of different topics. All the best desires for you and I hope to see you again very soon!

 

I was hanging out at Mandy's house while visiting a friend of mine. I had a lot of fun chatting with Mandy, and she gave me an elaborate, entertaining, and expert overview of what I can and should do in SF on a bike in 6 hours.

My daughter and I had a magical trip to Berkeley--thanks to all of the wonderful people we met at BaseCamp. When we received the dinner invitation we had absolutely no idea we were actually being invited to the Couchsurfing Mothership! I suppose that added to the wonder of it all!
I just want to send a sincere thank you to all of the fantastic people that we met at BaseCamp for guiding this life changing enterprise called Couchsurfing. We will never be able to express how much Couchsurfing has changed our lives. Thank you for all of your time and effort and dedication!

A week in Berkeley, plenty of free time and awesomeness! Jumping hills in cars, drunk santas and elves, and Sweet family dinners! Thanks Hixon.

 

Mandy and her crew for Obama were fun, up-for-anything surfers. We had a little night on the town to make the most of their short time in Austin. She was respectful guest and is welcome back anytime.

 

Mandy and friends were great guests, and put up with my dog's affections. Mandy and Siobhan entranced him.
Bright, smart and funny - to paraphrase Conan, this is what is good in life.
All three are welcome back any time for any length of time. Spider monkey denialability also.

Time I spend with Mandy is always time well spent. She is a gracious and bubbly hostess, with a knack for inspiring the same in others. The world is a better place 'cause she's in it.

Ah, Mandy. She is funny, spontaneous, fearless, and otherwise a grand individual. I admire her for going from several months in East Asia, to becoming a rafting outfitters cook, to going campaigning for Obama.

 

Mandy is a world traveler, and I admire her sense of adventure. Our time together was brief, but I immediately felt comfortable around her. If you ever have the opportunity to meet Mandy, take it!

It was a pleasure hosting her a couple times and I always enjoy her company. I'm looking forward to see you again in SF .. who knows!

 

Mandy literally saved me my first night at the Thai Collective, when I was suffering from a bad cold. She tucked me into bed and gave me mother-like sympathy. Later, she was a wealth of information on traveling S.E. Asia. You'd be lucky to meet her, she's an absolutely wonderful woman.

 

Mandy is a seasoned and decisive traveler, I benefitted greatly from being with her. She offered me gobs of advice regarding my next step and I appreciated her knowledge, not to mention her being an easy travel partner. Take care!

Mandy and I had the typical travel experience of ramdonly running into each other in different countries in SE Asia and it was so fun to have her company. She is a really cool, down to earth, relaxed girl who glides through conversation and has great stories to tell! I definately recommend hanging out with Mandy if you come across her path.

 

Mandy makes me happy. She's incredibly fun but also very responsible and can get 'er done when necessary. A natural leader and beautiful soul :)

 

I've only had the opportunity thus far to spend more than a few minutes with Mandy, but I can already tell she's pretty cool by the company she keeps. More soon, I hope!

Mandy was a great host and awesome tour guide! She has a great spirit and loves to talk about the things shes passionate about, like San Francisco. Basically, she's AWESOME!! Thanks to her I got to relax and enjoy San Francisco and hanging out with her and her friends was definitely one of the highlights of my trip! Hopefully she will come to visit me soon.
