We are glad to be the first couchsurfers in their new flat. even when we made our request a little bit late he hosted us anyways without a problem. Very friendly couple who are ready to help u in anything u want.

Bobby is the best. He is such a wealth of knowledge about so many topics. He loves the city in which he lives and is an EXPERT at the public transit system which will really help you out in this city.

 

My favorite conversation I had at Burning Man was with this amazing soul-he has required me to re-examine a lot of assumptions I didn't even know I had about life and people and Burners. I am *still* pissed off I missed his playa wedding! Bobby, I really hope to see you and Julie again before next Burn!

 

bobby was the facilitator of one of the most hilarious moments of my life, when the acidic rabbi held a playa wedding. he is a great guy, was very tolerant to my obvious loss of control, and we had amazing time together :)

Yo Bobby! Had a great time camping with bobby at Burning Man 08. CS Camp wouldn't have been the same without his good nature, serious knowledge of the SF electronic music scene (yo do you have a Playa name yet? I vote for Dub King!), and impressive terracotta pot-avec-sand desert cooler system. Woot!

Hanging out with Bobby in any setting is guaranteed to be an interesting adventure. He's always up for a good laugh and is one of the most genuine and fun-loving people I've ever met. Many of my favourite experiences from the time I lived in California are thanks to him. At the moment I'm waiting for news of his planned book - I would love to get hold of some of his myriad philosophical thoughts expressed in a more tangible than surreal medium.

As for the lives - who knows?! If it's less than a cat's, then it must reset every New Year or something. Otherwise I probably wouldn't be around to write this!

 

I met Bobby on a greyhound bus and my world veered off into unexpected directions and life has never been the same since. Three years later I stumbled back into his life at CS camp at Burning Man and we picked up the dialog where we had left off. Great ideas are bursting out of this guy and the conversations are endlessly intriguing. Looking forward to hearing more about the New Zealand project in the future!

Bobby! (I have to keep saying his name since I made the mistake of forgetting it once. It won't ever happen again.) I've really enjoyed getting to know Bobby over the last couple years... He adds much to my life- music, insight, knowledge, laughter, adventure, beauty. He is also very respectful and kind- I recommend him to anyone, for doing just about anything. I'm so delighted that we live within the same family in SF.

 

Bobby kept me on my toes with his interesting philosophies and fantastic ideas for nightlife in Frisco. He let me crash on his couch and showed me a good time at some clubs. He has excellent taste! I would love to hang with him again sometime. Come to Edmonton! =)

 

Bobby is a really cool guy. Down to earth and laid back. He also has some pretty darn good taste in music! I have a feeling that we will have some more crazy adventures in the future.

 

bobby is colossal. and i'm not refering to his height - i'm talking about his personality and soul. a CSer, a burner, a -now- san franciscan - how couldn't he be anything but family to me?!

Bobby is a wicked cool guy that lets you know how awesome being a cs'er can be. He has an great outlook on life and gives hope to the human race. Yes i do think he's that cool!

Bob Seizberg is a true Gangster in every sense of the word. Cult leader, amazing public speaker (when he speaks, he Projects)!, critical thinker, lazy marine, risk taker. He has a long list of accalades that make him such an amazing person to know. My favorite thing about Bobby is that you can be so honest with him and he won't be offended, take it personally and respond in the most perfect honest manner back to you. It's truly brilliant communication.

 

I had some great talks with Bobby about CS and burning man. I can tell he's a genuine person with a good heart, also has a very easy going calm about him. Not to mention, he had amazing patience and was an exceptional instructor on how to blow smoke rings! Was definitely my favorite part of the night (or at least a tie with the s'mores!)

 

Bobby met with me to discuss all kinds of details about getting more involved in CS and was very helpful. He pointed me in some directions that I hadn't even thought about thinking about before. It was eye-opening and I def look forward to taking his advice.

 

Bobby has had such a interesting & public few years....and it's nice to finally have him with us in SF. It'll be a fun summer! glad you are here!

 

From Partying in Montreal and Yuma to driving around exploring NZ and dancing all night in some of the best cities in the world and seeing the most beutiful sunrises...spending time with Bobby is just maybe one of my favorite things to do :D

Two and a half years later spending time with Bobby is still one of my favorite things to do!!!! I feel so fortunate to spend my life with this amazing guy !

Bobby is a great guy. He is good with a rifle and is fun to have around. Bobby and I met during the invasion of Iraq and we both got to see a side of life most people don't ever get to see.

What an energetic person! I should have known when he showed up in red velvet santa pants that there would never be a dull moment! Great perspectives on life and travel- still waiting for my train hopping experience! :)

Bobby offers a plethora of stories for endless amusement. He's engaging, vivacious, can build a gas line, hem your pants and bellow out a song. Spend time with him if you need to be infused with energy. Bobby, thanks for the great time dancing under the stars.

i like bobby lots. we lived in same house for a short time in nelson - and a great flatty he was. best time was camping with our buddies at farwell spit. I look forward to more fun next time we see each other - SF in August and BM sweet!

 

Good conversation, good company, we shared an awesome Southern California day infused with ocean, sunshine, laughter, and durian smoothies.

 

Bobby is a soaking up the world. If conversations are like games where the winner is the person who asks the smart questions and learns about the other guy's experience, Bobby is winning a lot of conversations. I really appreciated his presence at the collective. He got me into a bunch of interesting intellectual conversations, but he also really knows how to chill out and have a lot of fun. I get the sense that he has a lot in him, and that we can expect a lot from him.

I have had the opportunity of seeing Bobby out at a few outings with other CSers. We also traveled up to Payson together. And had a nice hike in the AZ heat! Looking forward to hanging out more ;)

 

I have hung out with Bobby a few times and always had a great time. He is full of cool CSing stories from all over the world. We spent a day traveling with other surfers to Natural Bridge in Payson and had a great day. I look forward to hanging out more in the future.

Bob is one of those people you start joking with as soon as you meet them. You know they'll joke back in the same manner. We're glad to have Bob in CS and yes! we'll meet again.

 

Bobby is a fun loving man. I liked him as soon as i met him,everytime we hung out he made me laugh! Hes so easy going he could have been mistaken for being kiwi!

Bob is so rad. He is an awesome conversationalist with a lot of charisma. We hung out in downtown Portland about a year ago while he was passing through. We will be meeting up again soon..I am so stoked!

Bobby is good people. Or good person. Either way, a top guy. Ever so amiable, despite his declaration of his new life mission being to make Julie cry (he talks big, but will he follow through??).
He's so likeable he even got hug from my dad when he left. Now that's a compliment.

We lived together in NZ. He great fun and let me tell you. This guy knows how to go to the beach.

Bobby has this nice laid back and friendly vibe all over him. He is really nice to be around and like he said: I'm sure we'll see each other again. Host of the best sort!

Robert was a very friendly and respectful guest, who kept me entertained with stories of his travels.

 

Bobby is a great person to meet and get to know. Especially with the National and International travel scheduled ( and completed)- some great stories. For an example check- thewaronthem.com does explain some of the fun...Very positive in all situations- even when having a wallet stolen in Mexico.

I will be crossing tracks with Bobby in other countries - not if - but when?

Bobby is a really nice personality. I was new in Phoenix so I didn't know much, but Bobby had idea where we should go to cheer me up. I went to my first American basketball game which I EXTREMELY liked!!!
Also we have listened to Jazz music, danced, and played chess in a coffee house at 1 a.m.!
He is the kind of person who will always make you feel fun. I wish we could meet again...

bobby and eric stayed at my place with really nice vibe and so many stories! i so much want to see u again guys, i think u leave lots of things to say! (by the way u also left ur hat and slippers!) :)

This was one of the most exciting experience Ive ever had! First I was impressed about the story of Bobby and his friend and how they changed their minds about the USA and the world! I also enjoyed a lot our conversations about our countries issues... We had a problem yes, with the appartment, but Im never gonna forget this 2 guys!! they are awesome and i hope to meet them again someday at the BURNING MAN!!

 

Bobby has a great soul and I was fortunate to spend time with him and get to know him. He has the most interesting life stories and is just too sweet! Meet up with him if you have the chance!

Had a blast with Bob! He came out to a goth club, Death Guild on one night and did Halloween in the Castro the next. All while wearing a lovely gothy skirt! ; )

Bobby is by far one of the most interesting individuals I have come to know. A true adventurer on all levels and a great friend.

 

Bob and the other folks he was with were great. They were excellent guests, great conversationalists, and genuinely nice people.

Bob personified what I love about this site...the ability to connect with folks who have had different experiences than you and to learn (and be entertained by) those experiences! I sincerely hope our paths cross again.

 

I know Bob now for a while. He's always around San Francisco and crashed a couple of nights on the couch here at Delmar St.

Bobby seems to be agood guy to me, but he did get a bit paranoid about the tourists on the playa... too bad he's one of them. Good times though for sure.

An ex-marine who came to insights most people with his background never have. He had some extreme experiences, and is now on a mission to use these to make this world a better place.

 

The ability to change ones views in a radically different direction displays great character. Bob and Eric display this trait and give us hope for the future.

I had a great time at the collective with Bob. He works hard, has strong opinions, yet he knows how to find compromise. He is principled yet not righteous, charismatic and easy to talk to.

i am happy that i was able to meet bob. i'd heard good things and sure enough, the good things i heard were true. i'm glad to hear bob and eric will be around this part of the world for a bit! (before they travel through yours..:)

 

Bobby can hold his own like no others!He has a quick wit and a genuine soul. You can immediately sense his love for life and his desire to absorb all he can in his journey. An awesome fellow to hang out with for a good time!

It was a pleasure to meet Bob and hang out with him and hear about some of his life experience. I would like to have time to get to know him better. I wonder where he will be in 10 years.....somewhere very interesting no doubt!

 

I didn't get to know Bobby as well as I would have liked but enough to hope I'll one day know him better. This guy always put out great vibes. Plus, it's always great to have someone around who knows how to fix a broken hookah!

 

I stayed at the Collective in Montreal with Bob and we'd go out and party at night, occasionally wax intellectual in the mornings, and would always have a good time offering out help whenever possible and experiencing this little thing called life. He's a great guy and I hope to see him again soon.

 

I really enjoyed talking with Bob. He is a smart, enlightened Marine and I am excited about the huge role I hope he will play in Couchsurfing's future!

 

Bob let me in. What I mean is that he gave me an interesting insight into a part of life I have never experienced and only seen on TV. That alone was great and I hope to meet up with him again down the line to hear more. I also had a great time sharing in philosiphy on the porch. I can honestly say I was suprised to see so much self reflection coming from a marine (and I hate to admit that I placed judgement based on a stereotype) but luckily Bob was there to show me a glimpse of his world and change my perception. Wish I was headed to the playa with you guys. You rock!

Awesome Guy! Very open and intelligent! He's great friends with one of my best girlfriends and best friends with one of my best guy friends! Very respectful and responsible.

 

Good Guy. Bob stayed with us for 2 days, and is welcome to stay again. Nice, respectful guest, clean, helped around the house. He has some good stories as well. I would definately recommend him as a couchsurfer.

 

Bob is a really nice guy. He is funny and really smart. You'll have a really good time talking about anything and drinking a beer with him. I'll definately see him again when he comes back to Montreal
