About Me

I am very social and an energetic person to be around. I am up for anything especially spur of the moment ideas. I have learned that the best times in life come spur of the moment and that there is no better way to achieve more of those than traveling in new places with new people.

I moved to Baltimore Maryland in 2017. I'm excited to finally be able to host couchsurfers.

I work as a wellness consultant for an in-home food delivery service. My job is on the sales side of the company. I get to drive around to customers homes and cook their family a sample of our food, work with them on putting together a customized meal program based on their health needs and dietary restrictions(if any). I absolute love it as my schedule is quite different. I mainly work nights and weekend daytime. But this means I have the mornings and daytime free Monday through Friday. This allows me to go to the gym, get my grocery shopping done and cook my own meals(just the way I like it).

My apartment is located in historic Mt Vernon. It is not a high rise or large apartment building with a lot of apartments. It is quite unique as all the apartments in the building are different layouts and sizes. My neighbors are all really great people and very friendly if you were to meet them in the hallway.

Past Travel and Living Locations - **Needs some updating**
In 2013 I relocated to UK for work. The few years preceding that were crazy for me. Backpacking across the world couchsurfing/working for accommodation/staying in hostels in the most amazing places and meeting the most amazing people. I was also been fortunate to be placed in Bangalore, India working for a company. These experiences were great and I was fortunate to meet several CS members in their city and host me for a couple nights.

I have been playing drums for about 15 years and love being on stage. As I currently live in an apartment, I play an electric drum set through headphones.
I consider myself to be funny(I make myself laugh - isn't that what is important).

I am starting to get interested in photography. Photography while traveling has been so rewarding to me. I look back at those pictures and remember everything about those trips/experiences.

Here is a the link to my youtube channel. (Hasn't been updated in a very long time - living my life got in the way - haha)

I created a movie of Baltimore, Maryland, US consisting of a slideshow of pictures.

PHILOSOPHY

open your mind before your mouth

love life and make the most of every moment. It is what we don't do that we regret the most - so get out there and do it

I will try any food at least once

The willingness to be an active learner and intellectually curious is critical.

"(what so funny 'bout) peace, love and understanding"

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I try and tell everyone I meet about this organization and encourage them to join, if not to host or travel, to at least meet some really great people and establish new relationships in their hometown through events and meetups. 80% of my participation is in this way. I more often stay in hostels than couchsurf.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted at my apartment and loved it. We went to a brewery tour and relaxed on a rooftop deck afterwards with other CSers in Baltimore.

I surfed in several cities now and it was the best experience. Meeting local CSers is the best part about traveling. They are so helpful.

It is so much fun to put up a post and see who responds and it always is a great experience! My favorite was rollerblading in an abandoned airport in Berlin.

We'll see where the next one comes from?!?!?!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sky diving in Hawaii was the most beautiful experience of my life. A group of friends and I jumped from 13,000 feet up over the North Shore on Oahu. Simply amazing to see the waves crashing into the beach from that height. I would do it again in a second, no regrets.

The waterfalls and Glaciers in Iceland. They were so beautiful.

A clear night sky lit up by thousands of stars - best so far was Penkun, Germany

Looking out over the Grand Canyon and the Himalayas.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have a good knowledge of health and how to eat healthy and could share those practices with anyone willing to learn.

I do practice yoga and would like to share that with others if they do practice as well. I don't do the meditation piece, just the phyiscal poses and flow

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to cook. It's what I do for my work! I always have food stocked in my freezer! I can cook you one of the best steaks you will have ever eaten in your life! That's a promise!

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Iceland, India, Italy, Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, Scotland, Spain
