Whatever I am, I was made for San Francisco, a town where you can do whatever you want to do, and look however you want to look. The more creative the better. No judgements. It's a beautiful magical city, and I'm in love with it.
I'm a grateful, inspired, hard working, but easy-going person. I love sharing the adventure of life with old friends and new acquaintances as much as I love reflecting on the mystery of life by myself.
Please note that I am actually quite a bit younger than 101 :)
CouchSurfing Experience
Some of my most fantastic and memorable experiences have been with total strangers. I'm indebted to many people who have offered me their home and company. Surfing and hosting never gets old.
Interests
Arts, music, film and theater, science, philosophies, the abstract and romantic, the visceral and concrete, nature and technology, plants, animals, and humanity.
My philosophy is to reach out and stretch further every day. My morality is the golden rule, and I believe no one wishes to be judged. I believe psychedelic plants have spiritual, medicinal, and recreational value, are proven safer than alcohol, and should therefore be legalized.
Music, Movies, Books
Favorite movie of the moment: Happy Go Lucky
Film: Kieslovski, Kubrick, Casavettes, Anderson, Ashby, Altman
Music: Down-tempo, Hip-hop, Bluegrass, Psychedelic Rock, Ambient

Did you know that you can completely avoid jet-lag (disrupted sleep patterns due to changing time-zones)? I've tried the technique many times, and for me it's completely effective. It has made traveling so much easier! Others have told me it wasn't perfect for them, but still helped a great deal. I didn't invent this - it's a proven technique. If you don't believe me, Google it :)
All you have to do is fast (don't eat anything) for at least 14 hour prior to your first meal in the new time-zone. Also, your first meal must be at a normal meal time. So let's say that you'll arrive 8pm in the new time-zone. In that case, you can eat when you arrive. To plan your first meal before the fast, subtract 14 hours (6am) and convert to your current time-zone. Now let's say instead that you'll arrive at 3am in the new time-zone. Since that's not a normal meal time, wait until your normal breakfast time (e.g. 7am) to have your first meal. Again, to plan your last meal before the fast, subtract 14 hours (5pm) and convert to your current time zone.
It's really not that hard to fast for 14 hours. If you feel hungry, drink as much water or juice as you like (but avoid caffeine). Airplane food tastes bad anyway, plus you'll avoid the feeling of bloating that is caused by digesting at high altitude. Avoiding several days of feeling tired and waking up in the middle of the night is worth a few hours of a grumbling stomach, right?
The reason this works is because your sleep cycle is connected to your hunger cycle. You eat in the evening, then you sleep, you're hungry again by the time you wake up, then you eat again. When you change time-zones your body is still stuck in the old hunger/sleep cycle. Part of why you feel awake in the middle of the night is because - even if you've eaten recently - your body knows that it's time to wake up and search for food. By fasting for 14 hours, your body looses track of when it's supposed to be hungry. Then by eating again at a normal time in the new time-zone, you reset your hunger cycle, and your sleep cycle follows along.
If you meet me, I can also teach various styles of relaxation and meditation, how to crack and egg with one hand, and a few origami folds.
One Amazing Thing I've Seen or Done
I've breathed underwater, hitchhiked with a pig, climbed on a glacier, met celebrities, escaped near death, had riches and lived with nothing, experienced Burning Man, found myself lost in the woods, left my body, awoken within a dream, spoken with the voice of the universe, fallen in love, and totaled a car.
Opinion on the CouchSurfing.org Project
It's been a crazy ride! I love it more than ever. Without exception, every visitor to my couch has been enjoyable. The vast majority of them have been fun as hell, and close to half of them have been stupendously wonderful. I feel very lucky to get to do this!
This summary is not a replacement for reading references; it's a quick summary to help you get started. At a glance, you can see how many references a member has, and how many of them are positive, neutral, and negative.
In the second line, you'll see how many references came from people who hosted this member, surfed with them, and traveled with them. These numbers won't always add up to the total: some references are not categorized, and some may be categorized as more than one thing.
When viewing this summary, don't jump to conclusions! Things that are negative for one person may be positive for another, and vice versa. It's important to read references carefully and evaluate what that information means to you.
Trip has a great energy and makes everybody feel welcome...We've been to some fun events together therefore I can only imagine traveling with him would be a grand experience.let's go concerting again soon:)
TTT, is a groovy, stand-up guy. Where some people don't do much with their lives, others live on Battleships and fight for the nomad community. Good job, TTT.
Trip is an awesome host with a fun, easy-going personality and great fashion :) He showed us Haight-Ashbury, the Castro, Golden Gate park, and several other sweet spots in San Francisco. I learned so much in only three days; he has such a spark in his personality that it would be impossible not to have fun with him. He was the perfect host for my first time couch surfing, and I'll be contacting him every time I'm in town!!

he is a great person with a giving and thoughtful heart. I really enjoy my times of connecting with triple T :)
Trip is a really inspiring person and I mean it. He is very sensible and with a very characteristic sense of humour which I (and everybody) loves.
Also a good listener which makes him a perfect mate for all of those who like to tell stories!! :)
Well, he's got much more good qualities but lets just say I have seen few people with more personality than trip, you shouldn't loose your chance to meet him.
Trip is the man. Super friendly, easy guest, didn't mind sleeping in the packed house, and was an active participant in all the activity at our house that weekend!
