Met max, Liz was out of town. Very nice and funny. He was also very helpful at the party.

We surfed Max and Liz's couches, we lived with there cats and walked spoltore a lot. We felt really at home and were very sad to leave!!They are great and funny host...we miss you!!!

OH....Realy nice people...we have a lot fun...thans for bring us from airport..with that guys we are visit realy old church and we have own choir inside :) after was a GREAT DINNER in some fish restaurant...in next day we are eating Home pizza with PIPARI :)

Max and Liz (pasta guy and pizza girl ;P) are the most incredible people I have ever met. They are definitely a lot of fun! Max is very curious about practically everything, which made him become a fan of "Dinamo Rīga", Latvian ice-hockey team, in an instant. And Liz is very sweet and hospitable and funny. Vadim and I definitely enjoyed out time with you, going to the wonderful church where we sang songs, going to the restaurant and cooking pizza. Thank you so much for making our trip to Pescara such a great experience!

Max and Liz have a very comfortable couch (in fact two, but i tried only one!). We shared experiences about good food and had several tasty meals together. They tried within their range of possibilities to make everything being ok. We also shared common ideas about theater etc.

During our vacation in Pescara we met Max and Liz on a cs meeting. After that they invited us over their place an Liz prepared some really good tasted home made pizza. They are nice and friendly, with a passion for showing other people their beautiful surroundings and places. They have many interests, a lot of friends and intresting lifestyle.
We felt very well and we hope that we meet them again soon here in Germany.

My friend and me surfed at Liza and Max house for a night. Fantastic people a good laugh and great hosts. They picked us op at the airport, took us out, went to the beach and had a fantastic time. Hey Max and Liz! We're back in The Netherlands again. But with a lot of good memories of our week in Abruzzo. Also thanks to you guys! Max very kindly picked us up from the train station. There are times when you click with people straight away and I pretty much knew immediately we were going to get along! We had such a fun night, Max made us a lovely meal. There was an evening of art and music happening in their gorgoeus little hilltop town, and Max's friend was playing in a band. We met Liz after she had finished work,later in the evening. We had a few drinks and it felt like we'd known them for certanl more than a few hours! I highly highly recommend staying with these two, a loving, caring, fun, interesting couple who even have time to tell you about the ins and outs of their wedding day!! And most importantly, ENORMOUS COUCHES!!haha.

Very Good, our first couchsurfing experience! We cooked together and we were even dropped at the airport! Very welcoming, we hope to couch them one day!

 

super positive. Unfortunately, I have yet to meet Liz. But Max is the absolute Man. His band, Elvis Elbow, is fantastic, as are the old ladies in his town who refuse to let him pay for coffee in the mornings. Max is a true gentlemen, and a scholar, and a future Italian politician, with all that title entails. His bookshelf alone is worth the journey to Abruzzo.

It's been a pleasure to meet Max during my stay in Pescara.Very friendly and generous and a pleasure to hang out with.

Greg and I stayed with Max for one night in Spoltore, but not before spending an absolutely incredible weekend around Gran Sasso in Abruzzo with this crazy couchsurfer. Max is a GREAT guy, really fun and energetic, and hilarious! He's an awesome host, and I really wish I got a chance to meet his wife because I'm sure they are even more awesome together hahaha. Hope to come back soon!

jon and i decided to visit pescara, and we stayed with liza and max. it was a really nice stay. liza cooked some really great food.... so delicious! we will try to recreate some of her recipes.

 

Max and Liz made me the most amazing lunch with so many different and yummy things. What a wonderful welcome they gave me and their apartment is so very cute!

I met Max at a jam session with Francesco in Pescara. He is a nice person and an excellent drummer!

I sent them an email in order to ask what earthquake victims needed...they were so nice and replied with a lot of usefull informations.
Then, when I arrived in Pescara, I met them during a CS appetizer....we haven't talk that much, but they seem to be sunny and friendly...a wonderful couple!

 

max and liz offered me a couch before the big L'Aquila earthquake. I "only" met them for a swiss dinner at Fasba's and an evening at the Post Bar (...) we spoke about a lot of stuff but i hope to get to know you guys better soon on earthquake-free occasion :)

Max and Lisa are really great people and amazing hosts. I stayed with them in Pescara for 4 days. They introduced me to their friends, and showed me Spoltore, and Pescara at night. It was fun to cook and juggle with them. And to hear Max's band. Thank you when you come to Israel be in touch

Massimiliano e Lisa are very nice people. Massi is always ready for a joke and he can improvise funny songs with his guitar. Lisa is very skilled in cooking delicious food from Abruzzo. Both are very out-going and great people to hang around with :)

 

Our trip had two different parts. Before and after met Lisa and Massimiliano. We have shared three days together, and it was amazing. They are a delicious couple, and it's a shame that we didn't live closer to be best friends (perhaps we are family instead).
We enjoy Lisa's muffins with mate, while we saw their wedding and travel pics.
They made us very happy. Always great humour, funny and singing and dancing.
These guys are the best from Italy (even yet than Michelangelo's David)!

Our trip to Italy would just not have been the same if we hadn't met Liza and Max! We did it all, from feasting on real Italian food from noon to 5pm, to singing karaoke whole heartedly after spending the previous night at a Winefest under pouring rain and Italian polka! They're simply FRRRAAAAA!!(Please come and visit us in Canada, xoxox)

Max and Liz are great examples of the CS vision. They are very enthusiastic about the project and they are so easy to talk to. I was so glad I met them in Pescara. Hopefull, I will surf their couch and/or host them in the future.

Actually it was them and another friend who introduced CS to me... we shared a lot of chillin' time on the beach and many others weekends and parties around!

Liz and Max are the big reason of my membership in CS, just wanted to thank you here! we meet in sc summer camp and in spite there was four of us, they still decided to take us all home, and made us feel like home, I can still memorize the perfect taste of your pasta Max! In the whirl of huge CS meetings, everybody is fun, open and friendly, especially when drinks flow. Not surprisingly, the day after you remember just a few people: those who stroke your attention and conquered your soul. Well, Max&Liz are that kind of folks. Liz, for example, can win everyone's heart using just a quick flash of her sweet smile, or one of those sexy glances of hers. But, see, that's only the surface: there's much more over there - intelligence, sensibility, charme and charisma, a whole treasure of qualities. Who wouldn't do anything for a chance to dig more of it?

this couple is really helpful and friendly, they proposed me and my friend a lift to their place where we were hosted by max. max is easy-going psychoanalytic free of typical for this branch calmness in behaviour so that means full of energy, both with a good sense of humour. unfortunatelly liz had to go back to rome so our pasta eating and beach chillin in Pescara had take a place without her. see you amici!

Now I know the 100% of Max and Liz. The first 50% I meet is Liz. She is a wonderful energic person, she loves theatre as me, I spent a very good time with her. The second 50% is a sunny funny man with a great curiosity of people and live. Pescara I had to visit you!

I called them up when in Pescara but unfortunately could not get through. One fine day however Lisa called up to tell that she is far away from Pescara. I was able to call/meet Max who was really nice to ask me if i want to have lunch together. So he is basically a good cook and an awesome person. Unfortunately i could not meet Lisa but i am sure she will be as amazing and wonderful as Max is. They are relocating to a new place but as i can see the couches look really comfortable ;). It is always good to meet and know people like them.

You are so funny...i'm so sorry that i had to go away from the camp so early!!

Max and Lisa are a breeze of fresh and positive air wherever they go!
They are both very beautiful people taken separately but somehow to my eyes together they become even more beautiful and good looking (sorry max most of it is thanks to Lisa!! ;-)).
They keep on saying they will pay me a visit and see my dogs (which it seems they admire so much) but when will this day come I ask?? they don't know yet but when friends (this is how I consider them) come to visit my dogs, they get a free tasting of one of my special red wines!

max+liz are amongst my best friends.
we were flatmates in italy during a couple of years and it's been wonderful time.
it's always a great pleasure to stay with them:can talk about anything and always have great fun.
they're very creative in anything they do:theatre,radio programs,music.
they love each others in a pure and simple way as they love life.

What Max said is true: I am the best in lesson napping! But only because I nap at the ringside: he prefers to hide himself among other people in order to sleep more comfortably! :P
All kidding aside, Massimiliano is a companionable and likeable boy, a trustworthy person you can rely on.
Last but not least, Max is a fearless goalkeeper in our matches, which doesn't hurt.

The author of my Italian guide should have spoken to Max and Liz before he wrote "apart from transport connexions, there's nothing to see in Pescara"... They showed me really how fascinating region it is, and moreover they found time to tell and show many things, even if they were a bit busy at the moment! Grazie!!!

So far I think this was the best couchsurfing experience I have had this far. Max and Lisa really took hosting to a new level! I had so much fun and I got so much help from them in such a little time that it makes me want to be a better host as well. I highly enjoyed their company and it was easy and funny to talk about anything. You can easily relax and enjoy with them. Smart and happy people :)

 

Waouh, Max and Liz are so lovely, i met us in summer camp in Pescosolido, a great experience, i like it.

Having landed in Pescara by pure chance, my son, Devon and I we delighted to be hosted by Max and Lisa. They showed us an Italy that we never would have seen without them, and introduced us to a whole host of fine & interesting people, many of them fellow surfers. Bella!

These two really came through for us in a low point of our travels. Their generosity was genuine and much appreciated. They even brought us out to meet the larger CS community that lives in Pescara, which was such a great experience. The first time I met both in front of a club in pescara after sussu and me spend the evening at the beach. They are both really really friendly and open minded. During my stay in Pescara they arranged a dinner with some local couchsurfers at their home with some typical italien food, wine,... I really enjoyed this evening! I felt really welcome and completely integrated in the cs community there.
So if you like to meet a warm hearted couple that love to travel and is really open minded try to meet them. I can just recommend it :)

Well...yes, I remember my first meeting with Max e Liz in 1919, during French Revolution. They was hosted by a really good guy, a couch surfer named Lenin, the most famous peace activist in Russia. Lenin shown us his nice flat inside the battleship-restaurant 'Potemkin'. So romantic!.. Actually Lenin work durig week end in Pizzeria Vesuvio (pizza Margherita only euro 2,80!), close to Torre Annunziata-Neaples (monday closed). Max e Liz work now for CIA (Centro Italia Antincendi)....CIAOOOOOO!!!

Max is the king of arrosticini , from “Speciale cinema: lo chiamavano l’arrosticinatore” ;) !! Liz is amazing girl!! I love her style! Especially the dress for their wedding; Anyway they were very welcoming, friendly , attentive, perfect hosts! Thank you Max and Liz, see you in Rome!!

What to say about this couple that others didn't say? They're funny, sunny and...good drinkers. I met Lisa and Max during a Pescara nightbar-tour. It was great to met such lovely people!!!

 

Max and Lisa could not be any more thoughtful, considerate, and accommodating. On top of that, they are totally AWESOME! Thank you both for an exceptional Pescara experience... hope to see you during my next visit to Italy.

Max was so wonderful! He's easy going and great to talk to. He drove us all around Abruzzo and introduced us to his friends. It was really a joy to be hosted by him. We only Lisa also could have been there!

I met Massimiliano and Lisa on my first evening in Pescara. We had a lovely dinner and went to a punk concert together. They are very creative, funny, talkative and active! And they also love cats!!! We'll be seeing each other in Pescara :)

 

Lisa & Max as individuals are wonderful people. But together they are even more exciting and fun.

 

They let me surf their couch for 2 days and it was the best Italian experience i have had in Italy. I felt a part of their group of friends and will never forget it.

Not only do i hope to see them again, i WILL see them again.

I wish to have such a nice marriage some day too! They hosted us in their lovely home, pick us up from trainstaion, offered delicious breakfast, introduce to their friend and took us to airport. What else can you wish anymore! We own them a big favour!

 

Wonderful couple to meet! Full of life and loves to have a wonderfull time! Didnt get to stay with them, they refered me to their friend who is also on CS and availiable, we met up later and partied all night long!!

Lisa and Max our outstanding people. They've welcomed me as part of their family and they've done their best to make me feel at home (including their cats:) one of them slept over my feet, which was so sweet:)) I highly recommend them as your next guests! Ciao!

Lisa+Max were extremely nice to me. We met for the first Abruzzo meeting, unfortunately noone else showed up this time. But i had an owesome traditional dinner and night walk with them. I surfed their couch with their lovely cats. And most of all i got to know a bit of their interesting lives and see Pescara city through their eyes, meeting their friends, exchanging ideas and learning many many things in just a few hours... They more than welcomed me! And i hope so much i will be able to meet them again soon, maybe at the next better organized Abruzzo meeting they are planning already!

Max and Lisa hosted us for a fantastic night in Pescara. We did not only get their couch, but also a peak into the 'real italian life'. Good food, good drinks, nice clubs and great friends.
They were so friendly, positive, easy going and hospitable, a great couple we really hope to meet again some day!

 

We are old friends. I can definitely say they are a very cheerful couple, always very active and positive! For sure they are among the best people you could ever meet!

Max is a close friend of my brother and mine,a great guy.

 

Even we don't know so much each other, just through common friends, i can say they are gentle and with a lot of ideas and will to do always something interesting and original. i like their lifestyle and to discover that we share this passion for CS project.

And the winners for the Couple of the Year award are.... LIZA and MASSIMILIANO!!! This couple is perfect! Max is funny, Liza is adorable and both are good cooks :) And the cats, even if shy, are lovely. Thanks for everything, we had a lot of fun. We'll expect your visit in Quebec ;)
