About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To live. Right now. In this very moment.

ABOUT ME

I spent all of my childhood imagining what it would be like to submerge myself in another culture. I crave adventure and movement...when I stay too long in one place I itch to move, long for change. I spend my days staying true to the nerdy bookworm in me, traveling to other worlds mapped out in literature. I write. Everyday. It fuels me. I love to learn...and I harbor a deep nostalgia for the hunter/gatherer in all of us.

PHILOSOPHY

"There is no need for temples, no need for complicated philosophies. My brain and my heart are my temples; my philosophy is kindness." - Dalai Lama

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I now call the weird, eclectic hub of Austin, TX home. When I'm not traveling I would love to offer my couch (or bed) to crash on. Life is unpredictable and I move around constantly, so my main objective is to meet others in the community, whether it be sharing a roof or a drink. Viva la comunidad!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfing is addicting! The more you travel/host, the more open you become to the unpredictability that life offers. I've met so many warm, kind individuals through CS and will continue to do so. My home is your home!

Interests

Meeting people. Loving people. Making good food for people. Sharing. Writing. Herbalism. Gardening. Reading. Music. Dancing. Astrology. Libertad. Yoga. Meditation. Peace. Hooping.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sold most of what I owned and moved half way around the world.

Hold your breath...and jump!

Teach, Learn, Share

TEACH. I feel the pulsating connection with Mother Earth and I've been spending most of my time learning about the rich resources she has to offer. I know a bit of herbalism that I would love to teach. I'm also from the southern US, a region that carries the stereotype of being uneducated, but there is so much to learn about this beautiful culture that I'm very proud to call my own.

LEARN. Everything. I love to learn...particularly about culture, people, religions and the Earth.

SHARE. What's mine is yours.
