Mimmo is a wonderful person with a deep heart. I always love to spend time with him, i'm so thankfull to CS to give the opportunity to discover amazing people like him. He is one of the un-missable part of the Milan group.

Apart from being a wonderfully welcoming host, doing everything (and much much more than everything) for that his guest would feel like being at home, Mimmo's simply great guy and extremly interesting person. Thank you,Mimmo, for your hospitality and sincere conversations:) I wish you all the best and i'm sure,world would have been be much nicer if there were more ppl like you there:) see you somewhere in Milan;)

Mimmo is the one who you definitely have to meet! He's the one who you have to know a bit "deeper" before you make any kind of conclusions! I think Mimmo has very staid nature, which I like a lot in people. I'm happy that I will be able to see him during at least this year :) And his doing a great job for Csurfing community !

I've met Mimmo at the Vienna Calling, we almost disagreed on everything but the party times, I've promised to visit him in Milan to keep the conversations going but when I went there he was on a "time-off" now it's his time to come a visit me, he is a great and devoted member!

Jack Johnson sings "Where'd all the good people go?" Well, I've met Mimmo at Galiga fest, then there were some apperitivos, the picnic and sushi night in Milano.. So Jack I'd say take a look there cause that's where GOOD PEOPLE like Mimmo GO!

When and whereever I meet Mimmo it simply feels like home. We crushed so many parties together in Milano, I even saw him transfer into a woman!! In more tranquil moments we devoured loads of cheese- and chocolatefondues and exchanged so many massages both way that I'm really proud to call him part of my Milanese family. MIIIIMOOOOOOOOOOOOO, you're the best!!!

met miiiiiimmo in BIG then unfortunately traveled with him to san firmin, then to paella meeting in switzerland.. Mimmo is annoying, mean, always sulking and taking all the room in the tent, but I have to admit he's the cutest ever.. According to him, I'm thoroughly (and vainly) in love with him, which I will not even bother to deny. (but my revenge will be terrible, just wait for me to surf your room and make it pink, miiiimmo!)

What say about Mimmo?I consider him my dear big brother in Milan.You can totally trust to him,becouse hi's extremely honest and always available.I believe to have find my family in Milan...Mimmo and Panzina.Now I'm know I'll never alone.

Mimmo is a great member of our community. He is polite, friendly, relaxed and very active in CS. He is a very gentle spirit and seems to make everybody comfortable.

Mimmo stayed at my house over "vienna calling". he's a lovely guy, really dedicated to the project and truly living the spirit of couchsurfing :). glad i met him and got some insights in "behind the scenes" of couchsurfing. totally positive experience! if you get the chance you gotta meet him!

My Italy trip started by my one night stay at Mimmos place in Milano and it was also my first couchsurfing experience ever. Im happy that it turned out so great, even far more than I had expected. He picked me up when I arrived, took me to the fabulous dinner with his wonderful friends where I had chance to taste even 5 types of wine. Mimmo is an amazing host who made me feel secured beside him. He even cared about my security during my whole trip in Italy, not just my stay in Milano. For sure, he is a super Ambassador of this CS society. Mimmo, dont know how to thank you enough for your hospitality and kindness. Staying at your place and getting to know you though in that very short period of time is an honor to me. You know, I will miss your little balcony where we watched sunset together. So many good memories that will follow me always :)

Surfing Mimmo´s couch was my first experience with CS and I can say just-perfect trip from the start to end!I enjoyed exploring the city of Milan,italian cuisine,aperitivo,meeting with another members of CSproject at party and much more things just thanks to Mimmo!He showed me and my friend not only pulsing life of Italy but also real matter of this project.Thank you very much:)

Mimmo hosted me and a friend of mine after one short call but as we have a friend in common who is the best guarantee he welcomed us with open arms. I can not even writte here how wonderful was our trip in Milano.....and lat me say, it was mostly because our perfect host.
For me it was first experience with CS....so I was little.....not little, but really affraid of it. I remember how I was sitting in front of Duomo with my friend Majka and waiting for Mimmo...honestly, we were suspicious and full of predjudice.
As we notice later there was no reasons for that. Mimmo was super!
He makes us feel comfortable, pleasnat...I can not find the words:)
Also we wnt for some partys(chocko,cheese fondu, disco...)He introduce us to Italian sign language, Italian meal, Italian wine from Bari:)
I can continue with describing how nice it was, but it can be boring for reades....thats why I better stop here. Dicsover by yourself nice idea of CouchSurfing:)

Mimmo hosted me for one night in Milan and made me have some really nice aperitivo and meet a bunge of other CSers from Milan, Italy, and the world. He was soo kind and I felt really comfy at his place, talking until early morning about everything and nothing. His sister Anna spent also some time with us and they both told me about life in Bari. I guess I have to try the raw seafood stuff one day... ;)

We spent a lovely day by walking to Galata Tower, then in Old Town and met with friends in Taksim. Also we shouldnt forget the concert in the Basilica Cistern. :)

Unfortunately I didn´t get to know Mimmo very well because we just spent one night during the week.But he offered us to stay with him on a very short time notice and he was very trustful.Maybe we will meet one day in Germany,if his teacher keeps on giving him a hard time;)

He was my first hoster on Couch Surfing, so it was a warm welcome to the city and to CS experiences. He can be little protective and such a serious man, but funny. Thanks to him.!

I find it so difficult to leave a reference for Mimmo, because words are not enough! What an amazing person he is! Well, I shouldn't have started this way, because he is a modest person. Did you know that the most expensive perfumes are in small boxes, didn't you? Well, he is the proof. When I found myself in a misadventure in Milan, he helped me, offering me his couch. But not only! The most important for me is that he made me feel comfortable from the first moment and he invited me to his world as a special guest: we went to a meeting-party, we visited a friend, I met his friends, I had a great supper at his sister's place... One night and one day in Milan that I'll never forget and mostly thanks to Mimmo, a person that embodies the CS idea, so it's obvious why he's an ambassador! Kind, discreet, funny but serious too and a real gentleman!

 

We invaded Barcellona together and we won the spanish defence. If we live in the same city I definitive will meet him often. Polite, funny and very nice to spend time talking with him. He promise to me a couch in him ship this summer ;)

Meemo is a blast. Totally fun to hang out with, good to cruise the bar with, and always taking great pictures.

He agreed to host me because my friend asked him. I was told that this is how italian mafia works:sombody knows sombody and that sombody can ask someone.. I was very glad and lucky that my host was Mimmo. Thanx for everything! Come to Vilnius!!

Mimmo it's great!!!!!!!!!!!I met him at Venice for New Year and then we kept in touch and not only introduce cool people at Milano, but he also showned me the most beatiful side of the city!!he's lovely person!

Me and my friend Marina were Mimmo's guests for a day in Milano. We had a great time with him, his sister and his friends CSers. He showed us around the city, we went out in the evening and we had a lot of interesting conversation. He is really a devoted CSer and truly a good heart person that made us very welcome in his home and his city.

Mimmo hosted my friend and me just for one night but that was a quality 24 hours spent with him. We walked around, he gave us a short tour of Milan, we talked a lot, met some of his friends, had wonderful dinner with Milan CS people and had so much fun. And then we realized that 24hours with Mimmo is not enough but still it was amazing. Wanna invade Belgrade? :D

Mimmo is an excellent Couchsurfer, a very active guy with social spirit . We both attended the CS Paella in July 08 but havent talked there. Still I knew him thru common friends and was happy to be able to host him 4 nights in Berlin in October 08. He brought me some nice italian cheese - yummy. Though I has kind of occupied with class, work and talking etc. we had nice daily talks... mainly about CS but also about other topics. We is a nice guy to talk to... I am looking forward to meet hi, again on some other event. Would definatly host Mimmo again! Keep in touch.

Mimmo was my first CS's Host so RESPECT! I surfed in his place 4 days and had a really good experience: Mimmo picked me up from my hostel to his warm flat. He is a great host who love to know his guest and let them feel good all the time, we had a deeply conversaton about this amazing project and then went out to a charming appertivo in Milan with all the 'gang'. I would like to see him again and happy to see my country's flag on his profile. Warmly recommended! :)

Mimmo was my first CS host ever. He proved me why CS is so wonderful! He showed me Milano, gave me a map, introduce me to CS Milano group, organize an Aperitivo with the group. We had long talks about interesnting topics. He is not only a CS host model to be but a guy with a big heart, warmth, funny, kind, anti-selfish, open-minded, interesting, ... and the list goes on. As a person and Cocuh surfer member I give him + + + + + + + + or 100% positive grade. It's hard to put in to words this travel experineces. I met him just for an aperitive in Milan during a CS meeting. Unfortunately I didn't spent a lot of time but it is a pleasure meet one of "pillars" of CS in Milan. Mimmo seems like a nice guy I imagined him to be! I hope I get a chance to speak with him more in another great CS event!

Mimmo was my first couchsurfing experience. I will go on! He hosted me and my friend in a friendly way on our little Italian trip. He took us to meetings with other couchsurfers. We had good ice-cream, a nice aperitivo and a tasty re-meeting, eating a pizza before I returned to Germany.

 

Met at the paella 2008 and the Zurich Street parade, I finally had the occasion to actually get to know Mimmo. by surprise thought, as I got stranded in Milano and Mimmo offered his couch on last-minute. Just for that he's a great guy! And also smart, entertaining, a CS addict, trustworthy. I am glad I had the opportunity to discuss to share our CS views and ideas. A great Milanese neighbor and a wonderful host.

Apparently, we had a first meeting in Galiga, at the Promisquity Party...but, since my head is often in the sky...I can for good saying to have met Mimmo during the sunday BBQ in Zurich, after the crazy Street Parade wich stole all our energy!!! :) Mimmo and his friedn Marco were very kind with me and my friend from the first moment, helping two un-organzied italian girls and sharing their food and the towel with us! We felt very closed during the BBQ, having in common the typical italian un-organization!! Ah,ah!! :) I'm sure I'll meet him soon since we have so many friends in common and because he's such an active person in CS!! Great!!!

I met Mimmo and his friend Marco in Zurich during a sunday BBQ at the lake, after the night of Street Parade!we were all so tired,but we found some energy to have nice talk,go swimming and doing bbq together!!we shared food and towel really like brother and sister!ah..the last but not the least: the Italian Dressing of Ana's Best..UNFORGETTABLE!!!!Hope to see you again at some CS Events!!!

I stayed in Milan four days and those three nights I was so happy to be hosted by Mimmo. I had a great time in Milan and with Mimmo, he is a very friendly person, he is so kind, he did so much for me, he took me to those cs-meetings, which I really enjoyed.

Mimmo was an amazing host! He saved my cousin and I from a night on a cold bench and took us in to his cozy apartment. He showed us the hot spots of Milano in his super groovy convertable and helped us find another couchsurfer when he left for a couchsurfing meeting. Im so happy we got to meet Mimmo and hope to see him in the future! Remember, youre always welcome in Kansas City!

 

I can not understand why I haven't yet entered Mimmo among my friends and left a refernza to him.
He is one of the pillars of the Milan Group.
Mimmo organizes events Aperitivi and hosts many people as few. I'm happy to know him and share with him many evenings.

UPDATE: I had a chance to get to know Mimmo better and now I can say that he is a very emotional guy. He is so sweet! He was also very helpful to me with CS. I mean, if I feel a bit lost (when there are many people I don't know, for example) I go to him and I feel better :-)

 

Mimmo is the ultimate couchsurfer! He was super patient with us and our shenanigans and saved us from certain death in the parks of Milano. Mimmo showed us all the neat places to see and let us stay extra night when we couldn't find another couch, he even saved our friend. thanks a lot for everything Nemo!

He was at the Picknick but also at the Paella meeting in 2008 where we had really fantastic talks. He even made me missing the Milano time so much that there had to come a next picknick in 2009. This meeting when he also hosted me turned out fantastic and we had a great weekend together. See you again for sure.

Mimmo gave me so many rides to and from meetings, and after going to Galiga in his car, it became obvious that this guys is awesome. He is a really generous guy, good to all of his friends and prospective friends, and has a cool car and sister to boot (the sister being more important of course). Basically, thanks for talking to me in Italian, torturing me with your camera, and always being a really supportive friend. :-)

 

He was the "official" photographer for our group at Par Tot parade (or, at least, he took a lot of photo). Mimmo is a nice guy and I hope to meet him again.

Mimmo is incredible! Such a great person in every way, super sweet and fun. We carried out our grand plan of making it to my flight by staying up all night which ended with a midnight tour of the city to keep from falling asleep. I had a great experience! There is not a single thing not great about him.

A few months later Mimmo turned up again at my place for the CouchSurfing Paella 2008 and in August we surfed the same couch at Jakob's place. A lot more very good memories - at least the ones I remember. :-)

Mimmo was my first introduction to couch surfing which was great because he cares so much about the organization. He made for a great intro to the city for me: great friends, good food, and he's up for anything. Thanks for a good weekend!!

Well, despite his perfect driving skills we still had to celebrate it in a bar in Regio Emilia but it was fun too.

Mimmo is one of the most generous and considerate people I have ever met. He made my Milan experience even more wonderful by showing us around the city, organizing fun events, and by introducing us to many of his friends. When we had serious transportation issues, he went 'above and beyond' to make sure that our travels were as smooth as possible. Thank you Mimmo!!!!

I surfed with Mimmo for 2 nights and it was just fantastic...he really loves couchsurfing and meeting people and it definitely shows. He even organized a huge party for my friend's birthday! I hope to hang out with Mimmo in the future!!

Mimmo organized a very nice aperitivo in Milan, although I met him for the first time at the picnic, and he show'd us all his mighty powers! And, then, seated in a pub in front of a sandwich with smoked swordfish, parsley sauce and something else, he showed also his sociability. Great ambassador, keeps up his city destiny!

I felt so confortable close to him. He is funny and he eat a lot of Nutella.. The next should be Nutella party...

Mimmo and his Italian company invaded Bratislava for 24 hours. He organized a meeting and I had that chance to talk to him there. He is really really friendly and warm and from what he had said to me about what he is doing in Milano it seems that he really does his best to help and improve the Milano CS community with traveling abroad.

Mimmo is an amazing guy, very funny and outgoing. He is a good italian teacher and tries to understand even the worst constructed phrases. We laughed a lot together and he added a great deal for the two days in Bruneck being an unforgettably amazing experience for me. Im really happy Mimmo had this great idea to organise CS meeting in BA! I had the opportunity to get to know not only this amazing person but also his wonderful friends. What a pity they stayed only 24hrs...

Mimo was a very friendly person and easy to get along with. We had a very stimulating conversation with other couchsurfers over pizza and had a great time at the party. Definitely a great person to get to know.

Mimmo (also called Daniele from is closest friends)is such a nice guy! So friendly and generous. He is very enthusiastic and always smiling. He made me feel very confortable even if it was my first meeting with the Milan community and he introduced me to everybody (whic was a real mission because there were at least 40 people!).

It´s very difficult for me to write a reference for Mr Mimmo, ´cos I don´t know where to start! He´s such a nice guy, always ready to help everyone, so kind and caring. One thing though .. He´s always tired :-) I didn´t meet him once where he said to be "in forma" .. lol Maybe that´s because of the care for Cs which he totally lives for!! Vai Mimmo!!

Very easy going guy that really likes to be part in active HospEx. We've been organising the Milan Invasion to Bremen together and it was very effective working with him. I look extremely forward to this evening. I think it gonna be grand and will be absolutely unforgettable for everybody involved.

Mimmo is a great guy. He came to us just one week before the "great italian invasion". We had a lot of fun on parties in our house and outdoors as well as some good talks. Inbetween he even found some time to patiently introduce me to the secrets of the cs-website interface. Special thanks for that and after the big party here we certainly see us in Milano.

Where to start when you're talking about someone you meet every single week? It's very complicated, because listing all the meetings would be a mess, but it might be fun to write the longest reference ever so far. Well, next time, next update. Mimmo is a veteran of the website now, there are a few secrets for him just like there aren't many for me, I think - you have to ask to the rebels if there's more behind the curtains. Hosting people from everywhere and joining every single small and big gathering in Milan, there's no chance you will never see him when coming around, so be sure to have something to talk about, but also not, because he's one of those individuals who are really into cultural exchange and confrontation, as well as into casual, easy going party life. His mission could be to make you feel comfortable and part of a community, that's why he's representing his area volunteering on the social side of the website. And since I'm losing it, before I stop I put the quality mark, because the man of the mountain said yes.

After some months i can say that MIMMO is really great and i am very luckly to know such a kind WARM boy like him!

 

There's not enough room for me to describe Mimmo! I had the luck of surfing with him for one night and that was not enough. Mimmo was great, he met me in the city center, took me to pizza and introduced me to other CSers in Milan. He showed me the potential on couchsurfing, he is my CS mentor, showing me that couchsurfing is not just a way to travel, but a way of life. I hope you're as lucky as I to be hosted by him, or host him if he comes to your city!

Mimmo is dynamic, energetic, and clever, and with a great sense of humor... in other words, the life of the party! One of the first people i met when i joined the Milan group, and made me feel instantly welcome.

 

Mimmo was one of the first people I met at the couchsurfing party which makes him one of my first CS friends.

At first he doesn't seem to be the boisterous kind but you quickly realise the quiet bit is all a facade. The man has a real fun streak in him and always seems to be up to something. Mimmo was our first host, and it was really a great experience for us!! He guided us through the most beautiful places of Milan, from the famous Duomo to other not so well known spots. He invited us to meet his family and friends, and he even arranged a couchsurfing meeting for us! It really was a fantastic experience!
