I had a great time spending time with Michel at our week end long gathering in Trois-Rivières. He showed as a very positive, easy of approach and someone who knew how to laugh despite my 'in your teeth' humour. I had a very nice discussions with his mother and him. A nice lay-back fellow!

 

I met Michel and his mother at the Trois-Rivieres CS gathering. They were awesome company; they had a lot of stories to share, he handled photography duties very well for the event, and we spent some hilarous moments together. I wish him good luck on his immigration project to Canada.

J'ai hébergé Michel et sa maman au début septembre. Nous avons eu beaucoup de plaisir à partager nos passions communes et à découvrir nos différences culturelles! Tellement que le séjour qui était supposé être une nuit s'est transformé en quatre nuit! haha!
Michel et sa mère sont des gens très sympathique avec qui ont peut s'amuser et rire! hahah! C'Est comme ca qu'on dit chez les belges?! :P Nous avons fait un shootings photos, visité la ville et manger!!
Pour terminé, Michel à même décidé de faire mon site internet que je convoite depuis plus d'un an! Un gros merci!
Je crois que j'ai bien fait d'aller lui porter au magasin à la course sa brosse à dent et son tube de dentifrice qu'il avait oublié! hihi!

 

Not an easy guy to get a hold of ;)
But once you do, you'll be glad you did. Very open-minded and easy-going, there is never anything that is impossible with him. Loads of fun to talk with.
Sorry for the few mishaps along the way! It's not because we didn't try!

Notre séjour avec lui fut agrémenté de cliquetis photo, d'intérêt à découvrir le Québec, de dégustation de chocolats, de bières et d'une odeur sucrée des spéculoos. Notre nouvel ami est un photographe talentueux et humain passionné, curieux, attentionné et très très jasant (;-)), qui nous a suivi avec enthousiasme en camping, aux baleines, à la montagne, dans le spa ou sur les Plaines d'Abraham pour la fête nationale.
Bientôt québécois pour 1 an : tu viendras nous jaser ça sur la bavette du poêle les jours trop frettes !

Michel gave a friend and I an amazing city tour of Brussels. Merci beaucoup!

Michel is SO generous--we did not stay at his apartment, but he really made us feel welcome in Brussels by showing us the sights, taking us to an "underground" concert, and kindly lending us his train pass so we could visit Bruges on a budget. What a nice guy!! I am so glad we got to spend time together.

Michel a été un hôte très généreux de son temps. Il tenait réellement à ce que je passe un bon week-end et ne m'a jamais laissée seule; il m'a même présenté un de ses amis à un concert, alors qu'il devait prendre des photos, pour que je reste accompagnée.
Il a vraiment ensoleillé mon week-end à Bruxelles, parce qu'avec le temps qu'il faisait, visiter la ville seule sous la pluie aurait été plutôt déprimant!
Bref, j'ai vraiment apprécié Michel comme hôte, et espère pouvoir le lui rendre en l'accueillant chez moi, à Liège ou au Québec :)

Michel was a wonderful host. He took us to some great out of the way spots in Brussels that we never would have seen otherwise, introduced us to all the healthy Belgian delicacies (waffles, fries, beer, mitraillette!!), and ensured our stay in Brussels was fantastic. Definitely recommended.

But he apologizes too much ;-)

I met him to return his camera lense and I prepared tea for him at my house. I had a good cultural exchange with him and found we had a lot in common. We promised each other to keep in touch and look for an opportunity to meet.

 

Michel was a great guest to have, bringing good dry red wine, amazing gingerbread biscuts, and some good conversation. He takes great photos, and we really liked meeting him!

Michel was such a great host. Although I visited him just before he left for his dreamed cycling Morocco escape he found a time to show me around the city. I met his lovely friends, we had great time playing werewolves (Belgian variation of ‘The Mafia’ game;-) I hope you have had awesome time in Morocco!

 

Michel was my first CS guest and I definitely enjoyed his company. He is fun and interesting... and even if he only stayed overnight, he gave me a few good tips for Photoshop just before heading back by bicycle to "he didn't know exactly where yet". Michel I am sure you made it!!!! Can't wait to get the pictures! ;-)

For our first meeting Michel arrived on my boat in Rochefort after 160 km with his byke, the hotest day of this summer. Because of cramps he was obliged to do the last meters ramping! Michel is a nice and intelligent guy, and a great photographer!! He's completely crazy though for cycling through France and defying our sh**** summer weather! But he's belgian huh! He's used to it ;))

It was my first couch surfing experience. I called Michel in a hurry to find a place to sleep. He did not know anything about me and he accepted to host me. He is a really cool guy open to every culture. He was working in the day, but he explained to me what to visit, and in the evenings; he took me to eat belgian fries (the best of the world) and we also got to pubs to drink beer. He is a very brilliant photograph and the kindest human being ever

Michel is amazing guy! I stayed at his place for 2 nights. It was really great to be there and to meet him. He spent most of his time with me - showing me around which was cool. We went to many beautiful places! Thanks a lot for so great time! And the last night in the best pub in Brussels was great too. What can I say - people in Brussels are great and so friendly! Great time in your city! Thank you again!

 

Michel surfed our couch for 1 night, as he came in Herve to make pictures at Mauranne's concert at the Belzic Festival, so we didn't have much time to talk. But the short time we were together was very nice and we had great fun at the concert. I am impressed by Michel's deep maturity and by the way he is leading his life. He is a very responsable young man. He is also part of the "bisounours" family :)

He is the best CS ever!!! Im very glad that our first experience on couchsurfing was with him!! he was very friendly and nice with us. We had a great time in brussels!!!

Michel was incredibly friendly and accommodating. He showed us around the city and hung out with us at night. This was my first CS experience, and I am very glad that Michel was a part of it.

Michel was very willing to help and accommodate my friend and I during our whole stay. He was easy to meet up and go out with, and has a very interesting photography style.

I hosted Michel for few days at Firenze during my exams period. it was a special experience because I was not free to go out with him and he is very motivated to live with his couchsurfers. It was a bit difficult with my flatmates because I think when you are a couchsurfer, you have to have more independence to eat, to live and be a little more respectful about certain situations. but Michel has interesting discussions and points of view.

Michel is a very good person, sensible, gentle and a very good photograp. He leave me a beautiful photo. He sleep in my home two night and was good spend time with him.

Michel is a really funny guy!After a little tour of Lucca on the wall, we tried the experience of Viareggio Carneval!!It was fantastic..he was a priest and i was a girl!! :D ..hundreds pictures of smiles!Very good guy!

Beside the fact that I waited for him for 3 hours at the station, it's hard for me to host such a childish guy.. Able to complain of me not being enough caring towards him on one afternoon 'cause I had to help a friend of mine preparing an exam, he also asked my friends to leave because he was sleepy and I couldn't stand his keeping asking for good night/good morning kisses.I sure didn't love that he wanted to be fed(like babies) with chocolate and his arrogance towards my friends.The only positive side: he brought beer and chocolate and left a book.I think he's good for who has a strong maternal instinct and time to waste.

Michel is the absolute kind and nice guy! He calls himself a "Bisounours" (would be a Care Bear but the name is not as funny in english) and I admit he has a point here! But he also enjoys teasing a bit and has a good sense of humour. We had nice talks about his country (France and Belgium have a kind of love/hatred relationship) and the weird current situation and also about his n°1 passion : photography. He even made me realize that it is indeed an art and not only some clicking on a button thing... I am definitely convinced!
This was a great first CS experience, even though I regret I did not have enough time to show him around more because of my exams and the very unusual amount of work I had at this precise time...

Michel is very very friendly. Be prepared to be his photo model.

Michel has an awesome personality : fun, very outgoing, open-minded, and most of all, very kind! An artistic mind, et un humour on ne peut plus fin ;)

 

There are those that give you a place to crash and then there are those that make you feel it is truly their pleasure to host you. Both have their time and place, but Michel is the latter. He makes you and your stay a top priority. He loves his city, his country and his neighbor and he wants only to share that love with you. Michel took me to a live concert of a Belgian band, he took me to one of the cities important political demonstrations, he introduced me to a most charming Brugge, he made sure I saw the Grand Palais du Bruxelles by night and, most importantly, he made me feel comfortably at home.

Such a cool guy!He's very interesting,open minded and warm.Ask him about music and especially from Belgium and you will know all you need to know about the topic!As a photographer,he can also take such good shots!You have to see it! :-)

 

Michel fut le premier hôte reçu chez moi. Il peut revenir quand il veut !
Débrouillard (il a su trouver sans l'adresse), autonome, curieux, ouvert etc.
Il fait des photos superbes, connait une musique que j'aime, il donne un coup de main.

Michel was my first guest, and he can come back whenever he likes ! He is resourceful, (he could find the house without knowing the exact address) helpful, open-minded, cultivated etc.
He takes beautiful pictures, and introduced me to Belgian singers I love.

Michel est une personne très sympathique, facile à vivre ! On s'est vus très peu ou c'est le temps qui a passé trèèès vite ( les deux ! lol )!
Cela me donne bien envie de le revoir encore et de découvrir encore d'autres chansons belges ( merci déjà pour ces trésors ! ) et sa passion pour la photographie !
