About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Enjoy my time, looking for inspiring people

ABOUT ME

Dreams and expectations fill our lives, and after a lot of questioning I have decided to shuffle my cards in life, quit my job and travel and feel the happiness which can only come through dreaming.

My references describe me very well.

I am looking to meet new people and make new friends and open to some casual connection, the pleasures of my serendipitous dolce vita siciliana, the beautiful in people' colour diversity, smiles and cuddles.

Someone said that my life like a literature - full of magic, fiction and non-fiction; a mixture of the truth (what is the truth by the way? who knows?) and self-creation or at least it makes such impression.

A mixture of strange/wonderful coincidences and trying new things, crossing the borders and looking for myself or at least I am a good writer:-)What do I say? it is purely my LIFE, both wonderful, moving, full of magic and strange.

Come to my house as you are, not harmful, nor painful nor contagious, but happy with it.
I welcome anyone who wishes to live a life fully and truthfully. I treat everyone with respect, like the friend I have not met yet or the brother I have never had.

PHILOSOPHY

I am not a stranger, I am a friend you have not met yet; Growing older is mandatory, growing up is optional.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I promote this way of travelling and meeting other people to those who would enjoy to join the parties and their time with their guests/hosts.

Since I became a member of Couchsurfing, I opened my house to lots of people and no words could describe the feeling I have when I come back home and find a representative of a country different from mine, cooking, drinking and chatting to exchange tips.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

While on holiday in Spain with my parents, an old lady entered inside our elevator, by chance: she was the French lady, who had predicted my parents, during their honeymoon in Taormina, their only child, me, 25 years ago.

I was a military in Northern Italy and the owner of a boarding house where I had just checked-in told me that I looked like one of her cousins she used to play with when she was a kid; when she registered my family name she asked me if I new Sarino. Well, of course, he was my father.

Etna eruptions, its lava streams and raining ashes; the pure positive energy in certain people,s hugs; the untamed scenaries of North Québec, The Australian rain forest; swimming with turtles in Cairns coral reef; Thailand colourful markets and ping-pong girls; Piloting a small cirrus aircraft (not alone); paranormal activities and etc.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach
I can teach how to cook some Sicilian meals.

Learn:
I've got a thirst for information that never feels quenched. I love learning new things. In fact it's pretty much a guarantee that my guests will spend the first night with me getting peppered with questions about their culture, experiences and opinions on various topics.
