MORALEIDA

Conoci a Rics a traves de su host Luis, cuando llego a Caracas. Junto a otros CS'rs, les di un City Tour por Caracas: historia, fotos, comida, chistes, etc. Despues fuimos por unas cervezas... Disfrutamos de un dia agradable, suficiente para conocernos un poco y poner la amistad a la disposicion ! Exitos en tu vida... nos vemos pronto !

 

Ricardo introduced me into the mineiro way of life. We shared talks about society, customs and food.
And speaking of food, he made sure I didn't leave town without experience some of the local and traditional food.
On top of that, he's a terrific person, super open and really easy to get along.
I enjoyed my time there, and he and his friends, made it possible!

Ricardo es un pana super tranquilo, muy conversador, y siempre dispuesto a compartir con todos en los meeting.. Tuve la oportunidad de darle couch en Caracas y compartir con él durante 2 días y puedo recomendarlo al 100% !!!

Oee Ricardão! Poxa sua companhia é agradabilíssima! O cara tem bom papo, é divertido e não tem frescura de nada! Quando resolver conhecer, de fato, o Caburaí ou o Roraima avisa que a gente passa as informações de tudo heim! Grande abraço e siga em paz!

Moraleida is a really funny open-minded guy who knows a lot about the CS project and thats really cool.
Altough he was busy while I was there he managed to give me all attention and tips about toutistic places to visit in Belo Horizonte city, therefore I could enjoy my staying quite much despite my short time there. :)
I'm really thankful for all that, hope to see him again one day.

Ricardo is a wonderful host that knows everything about his city and will make sure that you have a good time. My time at his house went by so fast that I had to stay a couple of days more just to enjoy his company and wonderful, endless conversations.

I would recommend everyone a stay at his couch!

Sure it was a positive experience it couldn't be better, Ricardo was recommended by my friend Laurent, even though he was a little bit tired of hosting so much, he offered me a place to stay ;) Ricardo speaks very good french, he listens to great music, makes you feel at home, we went to a boteco, a jazz festival, et some of his friends and chat a lot. He is so much fun and hey I feel so special because I'm his first african guest and waaait he made us a delicious breakfast, because it was Guillem's first CS experience yihaaaa

Ricardo is a gentleman. There is no best word to describe him. He is polite, friendly, happy, nice, clever, intelligent. Too much adjectives? I don't think so. He is all of it.

 

I met him on a CS meeting, and we had a good talk while drinking. Later I hosted him for that night, and even though we didnt have a lot of time to interact, he seems to be a funny and interesting person.

We couldn't spend much time together, even so we had good times. He received us pretty well in his place and gave us as much attention as possible, even when he was busy he was helping us to find out how and when to visit nice places. Always been cool, open minded and easy-going, he kept listening patiently while we discussed about overpopulation, vegetarianism and diferent points of view during the whole dinner, he took us to Café com Letras a real nice place, and in our last night we went to a show of a brazilian band, it was great.

Ricardo was an example of calm. He had and important work to do so he would stay on the computer all night and we would sleep in his bed (Nasa pillow included!) But in spite of that, he brought us to the nice Café com letras and to the Moveis coloniais de acaju show. I wish I could be so laid back during my exam period! I didn't expect so much of BH, merci mille fois!

Since I like to say different things the every one else. I will have to say about Ricardo that:
-he isn't funny
-not nice at all
-really boring
-not really bright person
-and most of all his jokes are never but never sexual releted!
-the only positive thing (that I'm not bothered any way) he is good looking.

I used to like him, until now that I learned that he was trying secretly plan my murder. Since I’m a very very very nice person, the most I did was google some Chinese torture and fantasize about it- murder? Never.
But then again, he already saved my life once when I drove into a walkway. So I guess I’m his salve for the rest of his life now. I have a feeling I’ll be baking lots of pão de queijo.

I was worried because I had to expend a night in Belo Horizonte and I didn't know anybody to satay with, and even more worried because I haven't a map and I'll be alone in a unknown city.
But luckily I saw Moraleida's profile and he helped me alot by receiving me at his place.
We went to have some drinks with his friends, we talked a little, because was a little bit hard to me to understand what they were saying :P I tryed to speak something but for a while I forgot my few portuguese...
Nevertheless I enjoyed being with all you guys. Moraleida, thank you really so much, I'd liked to spend more time at BH but was impossible.

Ricardo certamente proporciona a todos um excelente ingresso (ou uma excelente experiência) no mundo do couchsurfing.
Nos poucos dias de convívio, pude ter alguma percepção sobre a importância dessa ferramenta, no estabelecimento de laços de confiança e amizade entre pessoas de diferentes partes do mundo. Além da ótima hospedagem, pude contar com sua ajuda para vivenciar momentos, passeios e encontros que trouxeram a mim uma outra (e bem melhor) visão do lugar. Valeu, rapaz! Muito obrigado, mesmo!

ricardo e uma pessoa muito boa, gostamos muito de conversar com ele, porque ele e na verdade engracado :) tem uma filosofia legal de mais. entao, agradecemos mais uma vez pelo tudo (gostou dessa sopa, gostooou??) e esperamos que vamos se ver agora na nossa casa, la na europa :-P

Ricardo...an easy-going, friendly and intresting guy. And he is always so relaxed, incredible!

Moraleida is someone I know for a few time, but is already one of my best friends. He taught me almost everything I know in CS. So, if you need someone to talk, to have fun with, if you need some help... Well, if you need a real friend, count on him! You'll surely get one of the best!

He was the first host of the couch surfing with my mother. I was glad she liked the Couch Surfing - surfing and diferent the host.

in 15 minutes ricardo found me an extra couch (in addition to his keys), a party, a group a friend, all planed on paper with fone number and adress whereas he had to leave town for an emergency job. I couldn t leave BH before he came back to share a really nice meeting with the comunity with a lot of fun. i had to leave BH too soon unfortunatly to spend more time with this interesting and easygoing guy but understood that Ricardo love to share, meet new people and feel responsible about his guest happiness. A great CS experience. Next time will stay longer :)

I host him and his friend for a weekend and I was very surprised that he chose my couch. It was only my first week on the site, therefore I was pleased and overwhelmed for the confidence. I couldn't expect better guest: beyond an excellent company, as an CS Ambassador, he taught what really is to be a CouchSurfer!

I met him in São Paulo, we drink together and visite some Pub´s...
He is a great person, smart, very funny ,was very nice...
Soon going to Belo Horizonte, and will stay in his "cafofo" hehe

It's true - Ricardo and I first met on a very unusual and awkward situation. But now I can say that we needed this "impact" to get closer, a year later, isn't it right? :)
Ricardo is a true committed couch surfer. Amazing event organizer (and helped me a lot to organize a big event here, in Brasilia - thanks a lot!!!). Love his "minerim" accent. Full of joy, funny and up to do anything and anywhere. Committed to the spirit of freedom.
I truly recommend anyone to try and meet this guy - being around him is a synonym of having a great time :)

 

Ricardo sent me a last minute couch request but I think I took less than a minute to accept it (although my family took maybe 30 minutes). It is always very nice to host people who are really into the CS spirit. It was just like that with Ricardo. Seriously.. you won't regret a minute if I got the chance to host him.

I took a bit long to write a reference to Ricardo because I had so many good things to say that I didn't know which words to choose! He's a sweetheart! Very polite, respectful and intelligent! Even though I had a million things to do when he was here, we had the opportunity to talk for many many many hours about EVERYTHING! It was the beginning of a wonderful friendship! I would host him anytime again and I'm looking forward to surf his couch too! =)

great host!! right on the first nightout he and some other couchsurfers gave me nothing but party, beers and girls; what else can I surfer ask for ? hehe;
He's very helpful, the sort of small things which really make the difference, like lending his mobile, or helping with the directions of places I needed to go. He also taught me a lot about Mina's culture and way of life from a insider view. thank you for everything!!

Ricardo, in addition to being a very nice guy, very intelligent and funny, is someone very responsible and dedicated to CS. We get a lot of time talking about our experiences and our desires within the project. After the serious part, comes the fun and we spend hours laughing, talking nonsense, drinking beer and living a moment of incredible integration with other CS's from BH, Natal and France. I hope to share more plans and dreams with you, guy! You are lovely!!!

I had a great time living with Ricardo. He is a great guy with a superb sense of humor and he's always willing to help and listen.

Ricardo was a great host! Between lunches, drunks, and walking around Belo Horizonte, Ricardo was very helpful, accommodating, and fun to spend time with. I'm definitely looking forward to visiting Belo again!

Ricardo has a laid back aura that assures you everything will be OK. He responded to my email enquiries offering advice, he's very informative about the area, has travelled himself, intelligent and good company. His english is perfect and he even got my sense of humour! He also does a lot of work for CS putting together the likes of the National Brazil meeting. All the best mate

I don't know how Ricardo's life without CS would be, and I think that shows a lot his commitment with the idea, with the whole project. A person on whom you can rely to give all kind of infos: if he doesn't knows it right away, he'll search for you. And, more than everything, a true super cool-nice-enthusiastic whom I'm proud to friends with!!!

I love CS and people who´s available to make it grow and give more than 2 cents. This guy is an asset for the community, very cool, able to make a self-portrait and never would say that it was taken by himself and interesting one to be around, hope to meet Ricardo more often and make great things in CouchSurfing.

 

I know this guy for a year now. Met him through CS at the dawn of our local CS group and here he is now as an ambassador and all. This guy usually keeps a low profile (we're talking sober, here lol) yet he stands out. A party beast hidden by a box office worker suit, an intricate personality hidden behind the guy next door face, a rebelious background, a black sheep stigma, a life divided by two opposing worlds and the strife for ultimate freedom. (Dude, I'm epic today! Could you hear the deep gloomy trailler narrator voice too?) A movie character I'd say! Let's face it the guy has got spark! Totally recommended as a host or guest. Enough said!

Even though we disagree on certain subjects I've met Ricardo twice and really enjoyed talking with him, comparing notes on various travels and ideas on people.
He's got some pretty awesome stories of his CS travels, sure I'll bump into him again soon. In fact, I hope so!

I can say that he introduced me into CS world because I joined to BH group and in the same moment he invited me to go to a CS Party where I met a lot of cool people. He’s a nice and intelligent guy, he loves to show our city to every one, and I believe he would like to work less and have more time to have fun with CS people, just like me =). We are proletarians, as he said. I guess he is a close friend ‘cause he had even surfed my couch.

I've met this guy in the first year at the university (2002). I can tell you, he is an amazing person: smart, sensitive and trusty. He will always be one of my best friends.

Ricardo is the man! Unfortunately I didn't have the chance to surf on his couch, but he arranged other place for my friend and I to stay, and we also hanged out a bit in BHZ, meeting more CSers in BHZ. That was a great experience. Thank you Ricardo!!

 

I met Ricardo on Ipanema beach with a bunch of CSers and had a great time. The then went to several street parties during carnaval and had some chats. He's are really nice bloke and has amazing powers of recovery and finding his way home. He doesn't seem to over talk and thinks about what he says which is a nice change from many other people.

Ricardo is an awesome person to hang out with, whether it is chillin in some random bar or shooting the breeze in the park exchanging all type of phrases (that definitely drew looks from the crowd). I finally found San Salvador...and I'm waiting for you to come crash at my place!

 

2007: Ricardo is a nice guy, as he usually describes himself, lol. But he's not only that, he's also very intelligent, original, funny and seems to be always willing to help. He's definitely a CSer that is really worth meeting.
2008: I hosted him on carnival and it was great meeting him again. He's a good guest and I'd host him again.

You can count on Ricardo to offer GREAT advice!! and he is such a good friend that he will prove to you, why you should listen to him LMAO !

He was my first couch surfer!! Me still in couch surfing has to be a good sign!! he was tidy and independent...was really a fun experience! I also met other people through him!! ahhh and he gave me a lot of presents!

 

Our designated Driver! Kept the car on the Road for all of Uruguay! His Portunol and espangles is much better now after us 4 saw every beach that Uruguay owns. It was great to meet you man and it should not be the last time.

He wanted to buy my Powerbook. We ended up just talking about Europe!!! Great guy, always a good chat!
So I suggested him to join CS, and he did it, and a couple weeks later he decided to show up in são paulo and we finally met on a bar drinking and have laughs with other fellows couchsurfers!!!

It's no wonder Ricardo is BH's ambassator! This guy is funny as hell, loves to crack jokes and is constantly ready and willing to help, not to mention a good talk for more serious stuff. He took us to Ouro Preto and managed to spend some good time in the bar, in the clubs and around the city, as well as take loads of good pictures for those who, like me, travel and forget the camera home. hahaha He happens to like some VERY good music, and even bands we'd say "I thought no-one else liked those guys", and I just regret not having more time to take a look at his computer and CDs. The only thing, though, is that he loves "mandioca" and has a serious issue concerning my "comida", because he never quit saying he whishes he was a farm. hahahaha Só que em Alemão, for sure. ;)

I really enjoyed meeting Ricardo. He's the kind of person that immediately makes you feel at ease, really friendly, open to and interested in other people, amazingly easy-going (he didn't seem to mind all the unexpected changes of plans in BH, for which I'm very grateful!)

RicardO was such a great host, a very intelligent guy with whom we had a lot of laugh and discussion.... we went in our first couch meeting with him, so we met 5 other personn from BH couchsurfing. the pique nique was great, thanks for everything Ricardo, cetait chaussette!

 

Moraleida is a great guy. We’ve met in the school, 10 yeas ago. Since there we are friends. But after CS something has changed! We are closer. He stayed with me for 5 days, and we had fun in Paris. It was him that presented me the city. And he changed my mind and my life style: he talked about engagements, people, culture, exchanges, and lots of other things. Always a good conversation! Always something new to teach.

 

Even if we spent only 20 hours together and he got an quick introduction to the nightlife in my city, i ve the feeling to know him very well! Have fun in Prag and take care! CU again in Brasil 2009!
