****Only hosting through HelpX right now!!! Check back in 2012!!***
TWO THINGS: Just FYI- we live 20 km from Beauvais
****Also, very important- we do not host anyone that does not have any COUCHSURFING references, aka you must have a reference from someone you met strictly through couchsurfing. Don't worry! We DO accept first time surfers... all you must do is meet up for coffee with a couchsurfer from your town to get a reference!****
A charming village 20 km from Beauvais on the train route from Beauvais to Le Treport (http://www.ville-le-treport.fr/...)
I can help out *sometimes* with transport, but we def. need LOTS of advance warning.
Since we both work full time and have a toddler, we CANNOT be picking up after people and running around after people... sorry! We're not a hotel, B and B, gite, camping site, hostel... we're a functional home of people NOT on vacation so please keep that in mind when staying with us.
We have no pets, and don't smoke. Needless to say, no smoking at our home.
We have blankets and towels etc...
Please keep in mind that I will take you to the airport IF and only if I am going there anyway for work... otherwise you'll have to take the train or a taxi...
You can find train times to and from Beauvais to my place at www.voyages-sncf.com, but in general it is like from BVS to my village at 7:30, 9, 12:45, 16:20, and 18 PM. Going back to Beauvais looks like around 6:45, 7:20, 8:40, 13:20, 5, and 6. From the train station in Beauvais you can get a bus to the airport, or a train to Paris.
Otherwise, you can feel at home at my house and hopefully feel a part of the family.

This summary is not a replacement for reading references; it's a quick summary to help you get started. At a glance, you can see how many references a member has, and how many of them are positive, neutral, and negative.
In the second line, you'll see how many references came from people who hosted this member, surfed with them, and traveled with them. These numbers won't always add up to the total: some references are not categorized, and some may be categorized as more than one thing.
When viewing this summary, don't jump to conclusions! Things that are negative for one person may be positive for another, and vice versa. It's important to read references carefully and evaluate what that information means to you.
Marianne was a wonderful and one of the most welcoming couchsurfing hosts I have ever met.. She came to pick me and my son up and they shared their toys and home and food with us as if we were family.. thank you so very much! Special thanks to Nyco!!!
Absolutely wonderful! I could not have asked for a better first time couchsurfing/helpx experience. From the exact moment I entered their house, I immediately felt at home. Marianne was quite busy with raising her two (adorable) kids, but she was nonetheless very attentive to my questions or requests. I respect her so much for opening up her home to travelers like me. She's just wonderful to talk to and don't let her fool you - she is a fabulous cook! Thank you so much!

They are phantastic! Marie answered my letter very quickly and I was immediately welcomed at theri house. She just brought me to their home and told me that I do what I want. I can feel myself at home. They are simply perfect hosts! I see now that Faye came to this external earthly dimension. Congratulations and best wishes to you!:)
Nice experience meeting you in your cosy home. Enjoying the night with you was the best end of visiting France:) keep your ´american-french relationship´ always full of joy and understanding:)
Thank you for being such a great host! We had wonderful evening together. I really wish we haven't came so late and spend more time talking and laughing with Marianne and Thomas. :)

I don't know to thank you to be my last min host in Beauvais. I definitely need to arrange my plan little better next time. Enjoy your summer and looking forward to see your baby girl's pictures.
Marianne, Thomas, Nicolas and Baby #2 was a so great experience. From the beginning in Marianne's car (picking me up from the train station), we both felt an impressive connexion. We had so much in common even if we were from different corners of the world. This is one of the huge advantages of CS community: it lets you change your destiny, meeting great people you might haven't met otherwise. :o) And coming back to the surfing experience itself, these guys (the 4 of them) made me feel so comfy from the very beginning of the encounter! It was like being part of the family. I am definitely happy of this meeting and give my exclusive hosts 5 stars! I love you guys! And again, I am sure baby #2 is a girl!! See you soon in Mexico or Spain! or at least on FB till next meeting happens!!! Take care and see you soon!
we enjoyed hosting the 2 girls, Marianne, and her long-time friend from back home. They laughed a lot, were talkative, and social. As we did have a socially full weekend, we did not have that much time for long conversations, but we still could get to know each other, and I could listen to their experiences as mums, living in another contry, cultural differences, and similar topics. They were indeed independent travellers, what we really like. All the best with the return to your family lifes.
