Paolo is one of the first person i have know in the group of Rome. And if I started to do somethings with this wonderfull group is thanks to person as him. I hope we will have in future person as Paolo, Kind, really proud to be a cs member, funny, sweet hearted and full of positivy. If you look for cool experience look to him!!

We met before midsummer night festival in St.Peter church for one concert and has many pleasure in CS meeting with another CS guests. He is peaceful and charming man.

i enjoyed talking with Paolo.. he's sensitive about the people and the nature . i think he's patient and generous..

 

Well, I knew about Paolo before he ever came to Tallinn (just seen him post on some of the groups I'm active in :), so naturally, being a woman, I was curious to meet him ;-) The absolutely pleasant, observant, intelligent, well-travelled guy that I met with a group of local CS-hosts definitely deserved an invitation to spend the next evening in the countryside, joining us for a pre-Midsummer Night dinner and party among the local village-people.
I'm so glad our routes crossed, Paolo. It was great to hear your opinions about CS, its future perspectives; but also about some episodes of your travels - it all just makes me want to do the same one day in the future. Guess I have to start in Rome - I've been postponing it for too long anyway. See you there for sure!

We travelled together from Vienna to Warsaw and even though the trip was long it seemed much shorter because me and Paolo shared a lot of interesting talks on the way. Paolo is just an amazing person, he travelled all over the world and has so many things to tell and teach you. Later I hosted him for one night at my place and Paolo was a perfect guest not even complaining about my not so comfortable couch! I enjoyed every minute of our time together and I can't wait for more meetings!

we spent togther only a short time but meeting him was definitely worth getting wet in the rain. He's a nice, smart guy, with who it's a real pleasure to talk about everything.

I had a great time with Paulo. We had a chance to get out of Seoul for the day which was great. And he was nice enough to help me with my Italian!

Paolo has no friendship connexion with the Korean GPS but we had really good time travelling together ^^
I hope I`ll have the chance to visiting him in Rome one day.

he stayed one night and it was very enjoyable. hopefully we will meet again!

We travelled for few days together in South Korea, and it was really nice! Paolo also lent me his reaaaaaaaaaaaaaalyyyyyyyy expensive camera and I had the chance to use it to take pictures!!! ^^

Paolo is not the typical Italian I've met. He is quiet, restrained and a bit laid-back. But he would love to share and tell as much as he knows if you ask. He reminds me an Italian film 'Cinema Paradiso'. Paolo and Salvatore got the same big lovely eyes that will tell you how deep they are. I look forward to seeing the pictures he took and getting known the other corner of him.

One of my faverite story that he told was he picked up all the trash as much as he can in a mountain area and took them back to the city trash can .

Although there was a little problem in the end of the trip, it surely will be one of the most unique experiences i can have in Couchsurfing. Paolo is a man with self confidence, he worked hard to start his career so early and now he can enjoy his life, and I admire him because of it. I believe we can meet again somewhere if there's chance, and if it is in Italy, I would like to try those gigantic pizza and the ice cream with hundreds of flavor, hahaha..
PS. Just suggestion, since you travel a lot, you could probably meet a lot of situations which are beyond your control, for example: lights. Have you consider using an eye mask?

 

Paolo is an awesome guy. He is very polite and treat people kind. I think he know a lot about photographing. It is a pity that he only stay one day. Hope to meet him in Rome if I have gone there.

Paolo is a very nice guy travelling all around the world and always ready to go out for taking pictures. Even if he tried to crush me with his car in Anping, he is always welcome to come back in Tainan ;)

Paolo's enthusiasm for traveling and the couch surfing project is infectious (in the good way)　and I can't wait to get out there and see the world as well. he has a great interest in global matters and will fill any discussion with great insigth from his travels.

He use the water of my house to take a shower, brush his teeth, and also he use my refrigerator to refrigerate the milk which he need every morning, He stayed at my house when he is in taipei ; ), he is so nice, wise and cute (maybe this word is not fitting him anymore, haha), i showed him some places in taipei, and took some photos. we went to taipei 101 together, saw the super big- the world's largest wind damper, which looks like a super huge golden ball. he also took me to my first cs meeting in taipei. it's so lucky that i can host him who such a great man and the camera which is bigger than my head. : )

we walked around in the night market,sorry im not being the good guide cuz im not familiar with that area even it's close to my house:P

Paolo is such an enthusiastic, generous, patient person. He started organizing a CS 10th anniversary meeting in Taipei 2 months before he came. He open his heart and shared as much as he can to everyone in the meeting. He is really a spirit of CS. It was precious experience to talk with him in person. Paolo is an idealistic cs. It was a pleasure to host him and Jane in my apartment in Tokyo (and he was my first Italian guest)!! He has such a big and warm heart, always caring about people around him. My friends were also so glad to meet Paolo and Jane.
I really enjoyed listening to his travel stories. Every time, I felt as if I have also been to the places he was talking about. I am really interested in his projects in Palestine…hope to visit there with him very soon!!!

Although we met very fast at the big confusion of new year partiers, Paolo seems very nice, he also was "recomended" for a dear friend of mine, Antonio...
Paolo asked for a couch for the new year week, in a moment I was believing I would receive many other friends, so I had no place... some weeks later, some people gaved up to come, but a pitty (for me, jeje) he already had other host, so he was not my guest this time... I hope I will have other oportunities for meeting and receiving him!!!

he is the most serious and less talkative italian guy i ever met, but that doesn't mean that he is not a nice guy!

i met him in the new year's meeting in rio de janeiro - we were hosted by the same host for two days. we didn't speak much to each other (maybe because i'm as talkative as he is), but he seems to be a very trusty, interesting and experienced person, with lots to teach and share :)

Paolo is a very very nice person! I hosted him durin the new year week and it was so great! He seems to be a serious man, but he always speak something funny!! I hope to see you again, but now in ROME!!!!

Yeah, this guy has a really good heart, so much travel experience (thanks for the tips in Argentina), nice and intelligent conversations, etc, etc... I could write forever here. hehe And he was my first guest from Italy, the country that I consider my second home! =)

I met Paolo in Rome while he organized the amazing "Busfrasketta" dinner for the 2000's CSer member in Rome. We had another tasty dinner with his girlfriend and a nice CSers from Hong Kong. He is a cool guy, polite, funny and experienced traveler who i wish to meet again for sure! Ciao Amico :)

Though we shared one afternoon with Paolo we talked quite a lot. I wish he could have stayed longer but he had to go to Chiloé next morning. Anyway it was a very positive experience to have hosted him at my place even though it was just for a night.

Unluckily i was too busy for the organization of the meeting and i had not so much time to speak with Paolo. But in the few moments when i was able to speak with him I understood how GREAT, clever and deep he is.

Paolo was my contact to join the Bus Fraschetta party in Rome. There was a great level of organisation to make the party happen. Well done to all the team. Paolo is a well-travelled, interesting and polite guy. I really felt safe staying with him and the lovely Jane :) Even though he had so much to do at the start of the Busfraschetta he kindly gave me directions over the phone. The Busfraschetta was an amazing experience which Paolo and the other organisers worked very hard to arrange. I had a very enjoyable stay and can highly recommend meeting up with Paolo in Rome.

Paolo is a very laid back person.He wasn't angry when I forgot to let him know that I wouldn't surf his couch.By chance we met at a party in Rome and I immediately realized that he deserves to be the ambassador: he is talkative,friendly and a great traveler - I actually admire him for having guts and energy to travel for so long! I didn't have a chance to meet him better but I know he is awesome and I am waiting for him in Belgrade!

Paolo's a cool, smart guy whose about to jet off on the trip of his dreams and he deserves it! He put me up when I needed a place in Rome, after some great Pizza and vino. Have fun!

 

Paolo is one of the most active organizers in the Rome group. And when a meeting brings his name, you can be sure it will be real fun!
Moreover he is our official photographer, and one of the most experienced travellers I've ever met, it is (and will be) a pleasure to listen to him telling about all his experiences and projects around the world!

Paolo had the best recommendations by our mutual friend and in our meeting I came to realise why. One of the best men in Rome, kind, friendly, good hearted. The only thing is that he can be foolled easily (moussaka dear was not cooked by me I am afraid, ask around... or I can tell you next time I will be in Rome, cause I would like us to meet again here or there LOL).

I travelled to Rome especially to meet the most interesting members of CS Rome group with my friend Demetrio: according to his definition we met the "7 kings of Rome" and Paolo was one of them :)
It's true we didn't have time to speak but my host told me a lot about you so when I saw you it was like meeting an old friend :) anyway there will be some other occasion to speak more for sure!!! see you soon!!!

I think that all the world knows already that Paolo is a great photographer. So that's not something new. Maybe all world knows that Paolo is a perfect ambassador for Rome as well. And probably all the world knows also that Paolo is kind, trustful and a really good person... ok, maybe not all the world, but I'm sure that this is not something new for those who had the chance to meet him.

We meet for a dinner with some common CS friends... althought we had a little speak together, i had a positive impression of him - he was really busy to fix and according meeting with other friensd - this before having the pizza... then he enjoyed the company and the pizza! :-)

I met Paolo in a photographic exhibition organized with CS, he's very friendly and i felt soon in leisure with him.
I'm happy about this new friendship, hoping it will grow up!

I met Paolo a few times in CS meetings and I have to say he's a very good-hearted guy. From his pieces of tales and plans of travels you can feel the curiosity of discovering the world in its more genuin way... Paolo has not just the CS spirit, he IS the CS spirit!
Moreover, he gave me a lift home after a CS party, I fall asleep and slept till he woke me up in front of my house -so sorry for that! - If somebody should, in front of a gun, say something bad about Paolo it would be: 'he's too good..' :)

I met up with Paolo at a CS bbq and party on the Roman beach. Even though we haven't talked much yet, he seems a very trustworthy, friendly and generous person, and he IS one of the cornerstones of the Roman CS community.

 

Paolo is a man with great experience in CS . He is always ready to welcome new people and to organize meeting spending a lot of energies. His professional camera could be a proper weapon.. be careful! Don't miss the opportunity to meet him!

I have just met him and the "extremely positive experience" comment is already there. Paolo seems to be the the Traveller with T in capital letters (just have a look to the photos that he has in his profile and look in how many interesting countries he has already been...) Paolo is my "big" meeting mate...it's amazing how we could communicate with even with all these meters amongs us (look at the pics). it's always a pleasure meeting him and having fun in Party/meeting. Smiling, fun and calm person! see you soon

He is funny and a gentleman..he has soo many wonderful travelling stories to tell.. he hosted me for 2 days and they were simply the best..n to top it all he is a complete Italian with an Italian name..PAOLO!!:)) I await for you in India and your wedding too..lolzz

Paolo seemed to be an interesting person,and we share the same love for photography (altough I am totally a beginner and he has a Nikon D200 hehe).

Genuine traveller, amazing photographer, outstanding member of the CS Rome community… all this has already been said :) I can add to the general praise that Paolo has the gift of making every person feel at home!

After so many references mentioning all the good qualities I also found in Paolo, I’d like to underline once again what a kind and caring person he is, and how much interesting can be listening to his many life and travel stories. Not to mention how nice it is seeing Paolo’s leaving suddenly what he’s doing, grabbing his camera and assuming weird positions to take amazing pictures out of a place nobody ever considered as beautiful as Paolo could see with his photographer eyes!

Paolo is a very nice guy, we met only for one evening, but it was very funny and interessting to talk with him!
He is very friendly, he gave me a big part of his pizza even when he was very hungry(-:

paolo is a excellent host, he is very intelligent, educated and polite. he is very concerned about making you feel comfortable and he really does. was very nice having dinner with him and others CS. and off course that we will see you again in chile.

Really good, he is a very smart guy, very polite and a very talented photographer, is one of that persons that you want to know better, but I know that will be the chance to meet him again.

We met again in Santiago yesterday, and we had an amazing experience with Katerina and Jan, we went to La Piojera, an amazing typical bar and restaurant of Santiago, then we go to the Museo del Arte Precolombino, and then we went to the Centro Cultural La Moneda to see the Frida Kahlo Exhibition, so now I feel really close to Paolo, and I think he is a great guy and we share a lot of points of view about the CS experience.

Great traveller, great photographer, really socially involved and also "politically", but never taking himself too seriously.

Paolo is very kind. I enjoyed my time with him, he's interesting and full of travel stories to tell... we have to eat calamarifritti (come se piovessero!) together as soon as possible.

Paolo is very positive and reliable!!!Since the first minutes I wanted to trust him and believe him)

It is not very common to meet a great person like Paolo, he is honest ,serious, big-hearted, truthful, if all the men were like him the world would be a better place

I met Paolo when I came back from my trip in usa to a CS's meeting at pizza&spa in Viterbo. After that we met several time to official and "unofficial cazzeggio" CS's events. Last time at Fulvio's party and it was a blast. Paolo is first a good soul, warm heart and helpful. He's an active CS and an experienced traveler. I am sure he is a good guest as like is a trustful and good roman host.

Paolo was the greatest host ever. He was so kind with my friend and me! One night he took us out and we did a Rome-by-night tour, that was fantastic. And then he took us out in a great restaurant, and then he talked to us about all his travels...in a word, we spent a great time with him and I hope to see him again in Rome one day! and Paolo, if u ever think about coming to the mountains, give me a call ;)

Staying with Paolo was fantastic! I was a bit nervous, just traveling with me and another girl traveling partner, but I couldn't have asked for a better experience. He was a wonderful host, picking me and my travel buddy up from the airport and driving us in and out of town for most of the days. He was a lot of fun to talk to and I had a fantastic time staying with him. I would definitely recommend him to anyone traveling to Rome.

I haven't had the chance to meet him in person. However, Paolo was more than helpful with me. I arrived in Roma thinking I had a host but this host finally couldn't host anymore. I contacted Paolo who I had been in contact with before. He was very helpful and did his best to find a CS member ready to accomodate me. Thanks so much Paolo and good luck for your project.

When you meet somebody like Paolo, in italy we say that he's "good like bread" :) in other words his sould is so positive to other people.

Paolo was great! He took us in fortunately at the last minute and drove us around Rome in the rain. He took us to a cool little wine bar and we got to go see his photo exhibition! It was a good time :-D

This was my first couch surfing experience. Paolo was exteremely nice and helped us find all sorts of great things to do in Rome. We even got to see one of his photographs on a mini-exhibition. I had a great time surfing Paolo's couch and this experience has made me want to get more involved in the couch surfing project.

 

I don't know him. He seems to be a lot of good things... I want to know him, and discover this hidden treasure. And he's a Scorpio like me! So simply the best!!

 

I had an idea about him the first time I met him, and I can now confirm he's a very smart guy, very kind and with a lot of interest, first photography in which he's very skilled ;) glad to met him.

He's cool. Even though I met him only once and havent spent much time with him I can easily say that I'd enjoy having him around often! he's funny, smart and surely not banal.. he gave me the impression of who always knows what to do and how.

Paolo is a relaxed and nice guy with a passion for photography, and we had a nice talk during a CS meeting. For sure we'll meet again and then I can add more good things about him here :)

It's difficult to write a reference to a friend. Paolo is a real friend. The typical CS traveller will be happy to know that he's trustworthy and dedicated, he knows Roma and enjoys showing it to his guests. The ones that will be lucky enough to meet and see him often will discover a curious, profound and rich soul and an astoundingly good photographer.

I met Paolo at great party at Lela s house. It was great evening, lot of fun, lots of jokes (some weird included :) and Paolo was the one who could understand everything :))))Im sorry that his hypnosing action did not work on me and i couldnt stop with my jokes :):)))))Hope to see u soon in Rome :)

A very gentle soul

We talked onlz a few hours over aperitivo and dinner, but we had a very good time :) Paolo has travelled the world and knows how to tell from his travels very well, its a pleasure to talk with him, he is verz intelligent and supremely kind person, it was a pleasure to meet him and i look forward to seeing him again

Paolo is a kind guy who devotes much energy to the cs rome group. He has many stories to tell about his many quite unusual travels. It was nice to know about his experience in palestine and sharing a common point of view.

Paolo is a perfect CSer: he saw a lot and can tell about it. He explained me the situation in Palestina, at home we still talked about it.I really want to meet him again!!!And see the photos!

Paolo is a kind and generous man. He is passionate about travelling and photography. He devotes a lot of time and energy to promoting the intergration of many cultures here in Rome. I am happy to have his friendship :)

It's very hard to describe in so little words what I lived with Paolo. He's not only generous, active and intelligent, but also a very genuine person, engaged pacifist and an extraordinary human being. Not enough?? He travels around the world, seeing the things we all would like to see (the good and the bad ones), works showing them to all of us and, more, he makes himself a time to share his experiences with total strangers, like I was. And you feel extremely welcome while doing it! Only the best wishes for you and we'll see each other soon, I'm absolutely convinced of that!
UPDATE: We spent about a day wandering around Concepción, while he came to Chile. I hope you forgive me for such a boring city (anyway, it was a monday! ;-), and for losing ourselves over and over again in the city I was born and raised (yeap, I know, I'm a lame tour- guide). However, I enjoyed, once again, Paolo's company. We had some lovely chats and meals. You're welcome back anytime! I'm already missing you!

Had a lovely time with Paolo and Krystel - he was very generous in picking up the tab, even though my friend and I took them out. We had had a long day of school, but the outing really made our day - it was fun - thank you! Hope to see you in Rome soon, Paolo!

I stayed with Paolo in Rome and he was "Super-host", he took me out for lunch and dinner with his friends, for a tour and also let me explore by myself which was great! If you get a chance to stay with him you'll enjoy yourself thoroughly! Ciao Paolo!

I had the chance to travel with Paolo in Israel/Palestine...he seemed very quiet and silent at the beginning, but then I discovered he's an interesting guy with an original sense of humor....and also it came out he's a couch-surfer like me!!

We met Paolo at CS meeting in Rome.. is a very placid guy who is interesting to talk to. We met again in possibly the coolest bar in Rome. Paolo has a great sense of humour & is very generous & knows where to find the non touristic bars & eateries in Rome. he helped me to organize a meting in the city and his support was great. Great guy to know! I think he knows everything there is to know about Rome. He is also the first CS I met at the Bridge meeting. A true Roman who wishes to share the city with anyone had a great time.

I had a great time staying with Paolo, although it was short and then I lost my voice and sounded like a dying mouse. He showed us Rome and a nice CS gatheringin the city!

I had a great time in Rome thanks to Paolo and the CS community. He is a traveler and a great photographer, so talking to him is very interesting!

I was in Roma only 1,5 days but I met Paolo in Piazza S. Pietro for a very little time. We hope to can meet next day but it was impossible.

 

I spent 2 amazing nights surfing Paolos couch....One of the greatest people I've met on my European adventure!!!! If you get an opportunity to spend time with him do it!!! He showed my friend and I a really great time!! Absolutely the best photographer ever!!! Very culturally savvy as well!!!! We are planning another visit for October in either in Canada or Brazil!!! Until then my friend be well...I look forward to seeing you again soon!!!
