Opinion on the CouchSurfing.org Project
References To me the reference system is VERY important.
Please avoid leaving me a reference if you do not have something substantial to say. Please, do not be offended if I do not write a reference back.
This summary is not a replacement for reading references; it's a quick summary to help you get started. At a glance, you can see how many references a member has, and how many of them are positive, neutral, and negative.
In the second line, you'll see how many references came from people who hosted this member, surfed with them, and traveled with them. These numbers won't always add up to the total: some references are not categorized, and some may be categorized as more than one thing.
When viewing this summary, don't jump to conclusions! Things that are negative for one person may be positive for another, and vice versa. It's important to read references carefully and evaluate what that information means to you.
When I met Anick, I was not expecting the astonishing light of her own being. But the magic is that I was not dazzled - being around her and sharing stories felt just right, as if we knew each other already. Merci... <3
My home is your home, Stilty Lady.
Anick-Marie is one of a kind! :D
I've never met a person so committed into the nomadic universe, blogging and helping every human she might meet on her road. I feel very lucky to have met such a person and you never get bored around her, for her mind is always running 100 miles an hour! I would recommend her as host, travel buddy or for any help toward travels, especially for women that travel alone.
I wish you all the best and that you keep making this world a more tolerant one toward sharing with and opening to others.
Tschüss!

Positive
I liked Annick Marie because she is simple, talkative and open-minded. It was a pleasure!
It was nice meeting Anick-Marie during her time in Iqaluit. She opened my views to some different traveling strategies such the phenomenon of dumpster diving. She is very well traveled with many stories to share!
Anick-Marie, always the heart of a volunteer, always ready to help, as she helped me a lot on CS. Then it was my turn to help, to be the recipient of a book which never came :p Then, we finally met after having both traveled a lot, in her country, to celebrate her birthday. Anick-Marie is a great traveler, a great hitchhiker, a big heart, and also a Voice for all the women who want to travel alone. Long life Anick :)
We have been very happy to meet you at the CS event organized by Jonathan. It was a great pleasure to share our travel in south America with all the couchsurfers in Montréal.
Thanks Anick-Marie to have come at this event, and we hope to see you again.

Anick-Marie showed up to visit a room that was available in my appartment, and left 5 hours later... Longest but coolest visitor ever in my real estate life :o) Since then, a few cool discussions and several more (I hope) to come.
Anick taught French to the Katimavikers who had advanced French. I met her a few times coming back from the beginner level French course. Katimavik really appreciated her coming to teach advanced French!
I like your profile..you have allready traveled lot of countries,...would you like to travel in INDIA.............

Positive
I went to Iqaluit, Nunavut, for a week not knowing anyone, or having a place to stay, and although Anick-Marie wasn't able to host me at the time, she sought me out, and invited me over for mint tea, and blueberries she had picked that morning. She is so knowledgeable, and well-travelled. I wish I could have had longer to learn more about the world of hitch-hiking, and her adventures through Couch-Surfing. She also came to the event I was hosting in Iqaluit, and even helped carry my 70lbs suitcase up a rocky slope! She is hardcore, and absolutely fantastic!!! I look forward to keeping in touch with her.
