I wish to thank you for receiving me in your home and trusting in me.

You were fabulous hosts that were always asking if I needed anything and what I wanted to do and I find your perspectives on life and living abroad fascinating.

More importantly, though, were our conversations about different parts of the world and experiences in life.

And Leigh, our yoga session with Air and the frogs in the background was a unique experience that meant alot to me.

I wish you wonderful times ahead raising your beautiful child as a bilingual Salteño ready to conquer the world.

We had a phenomenal time with Leigh, Noah, and Lila. They were perfect hosts showing us the best Salta has to offer.

This CS was the perfect example that strangers are just friends we haven't met yet! Gracias por todo!

Leigh is the encounter you will be thankful for. She will have you going "wow" with every single thing she is involved with and you'll remember her for a long time!
We live in the same country, yet we only met in person unexpectedly a few thousands of miles away from "home", in the middle of the desert.
Leigh has the kind of smile we all need on a daily basis. Open your house and your arms to it, as you will feel nothing but genuine warmth. :)

Leigh and I shared one of the most crazy-intimate and unique journeys, we travelled and camped together at Burning Man. In 8 days we shared a short lifetime of experiences and I am very happy we had the opportunity. See you in Salta! :)

Leigh has good vibes! I've heard many great stories involving Leigh and finally got to meet her at a recent meetup. Very appropriately a Nomadic Ambassador!

Meeting you at BRC was a highlight of 2009, I felt like i knew you already from our online friendship. I'm glad you enjoyed your first burn, and we'll come up with a more cohesive art project next time! Ditto for if you ever come to Austin- we've got a spot for you.

 

We were doomed to meet starting from 2008, when I visited Atlanta for the first time. This year we made it, and it was awesome, Leigh and Noah are amazing couple who sustain the energy balance through 14+ years marriage. Positive, altruistic, open-minded and easygoing, I love you guys!

 

Waffle House, Clermont Lounge and Krispy Kremes! And then of course the trip to the library with the russians! How can you forget a night like that!

 

Leigh!! Thank you for a great time! We had such a nice time riding around in your car! Krispy Kream, old strippers andd books! What more can you ask for! I hope to make it to Argentina to visit you guys!! Enjoy life!

Leigh and her family is such a good host! I arrived at her house just a day before she get back from her trip!! She is very enthusiastic about Couchsurfing. Talking with her, you would definitely get some insight about what's the real traveller! Keep in touch!

i stayed with Leigh, and her amazing family Noah and lila for 8 days. They where my first couch surfing experience. they were such a lucky find, my stay in Salta, was so good because of these amazing people, and im sure i´ll be in contact with them all for a long time, your my people!. lila, Noah and leigh its people like you that the world needs more of.p.s i hate peanut butter, and putting it on a banana isn´t gona make it good..but the dancing was fun

 

If I have to describe Leigh and Noah in a sentence, I would say they are the real CS spirit.

They offered me couch in Salta even though they had her parents visiting them for some days.
We could not spend much time together because of this but they were really good hosts:gave me the keys, prepared pancakes for breakfast... what else can we ask for?

I met her lovely daughter, Laila, and her parents. A very nice family that has travelled a lot around the world and, therefore, are very open minded.

Thanks Leigh and Noah; you are wonderful and I really missed to spend some more time with you.

I unfortunately can't tell a lot of things about Leigh as I was spending all my time playing with her daughter ! Noah and her are a wonderful family. Just wish we had talked more. A kiss to Lila !

Leigh is just a wonderful, fun girl, a reader and a writer, as I aspire to be as well! Overall, totally my kind of person, interesting, kind, funny! Loved hanging out and hope that we will meet again whether in Salta, Buenos Aires, or back in NYC. Meanwhile I would like to continue reading each others fiction.

Leigh has demonstrated what a small world it is, while simultaneously making it seem full of endless possibilities and adventures. We crossed paths in Argentina by coincidence, where we discovered we had both mutual friends and a mutual love of travel. I could talk to Leigh for hours, and, in fact, we did. She's an interesting person who has chosen a great way to live. I'm quite sure we'll be meeting up again.

Leigh and her family are extraordinary people. Really looking for a different kind of life(style) outside their home country. I like there project and motivations, to go to live in Salta. Wishing them good luck with setting up a new life in a beautiful region on the world. Keep wondering, keep writing.

 

We talked a bit about flower shirts and writing. Too bad we didn't meet anymore in Buenos Aires.

 

A bright, wonderful, loving daughter (redhead) with all the temperament. One has to survive some things but it is so worth it

 

I met Leigh briefly at a CS Xmas Party in Buenos Aires and found her to be very friendly, kind and sincere. I hope our paths cross again sometime :)

 

Leigh immediately gives off a kind, welcoming vibe. She obviously has a lot to share in terms of knowledge and thoughts on the world, but she is modest enough to not broadcast such things.

Our time to talk was limited, which was unfortunate, as I feel like I could have learned a great deal from her.

Sometime, somewhere, we'll meet again, I hope.

Leigh and Noah are awesome, very interesting people, you can learn a lot (Noah's crush curse of politics and economics... lol). Love the way they travel around the world to find their ultimate place to leave, i wish i could do that...

An inspirational adventurer. Leigh gave me a great pep talk about writing, and she has the cutest daughter!

Leigh has been in almost every story Randall has ever told about Panama Couch Surfing so you can guess my level of excitement when I found out she would be surfing our place during one of my brief visits home. I must say, she did not dissapoint. Leigh, Noah and Lila are an absolute treat to have in your company. They are so respectful and make you feel comfortable within seconds. I've gotta put my plans on hold for a while, but I really cannot wait to visit and surf your place!

 

Leigh contact Stef to know a bit about Buenos Aires and his life style... after several months we met her for X-mas day. I want to continue sharing moments, her family it's so nice and his daughter it's a funny little girl.

Met Leigh in Buenos Aires this summer and shared nice talks about cultures, couchsurfing and everything. Had also some time to visit Malba togheter, and a failed attempt to Bellas Artes. She is nice, openminded and very involved in the project. Hope to see you again!!

 

Leigh is great! I always enjoy seeing here when she's in town and she's a great conversationalist. Her recommendation for where to go in Panama was a highlight of our last trip. Highly recommended on all counts.

 

Leigh and her family did a presentation for my after-school program on Buffalo's west-side. She presented the kids with really cool travel artifacts, travel photos and even prepared an activity for them. She is as kind, honest and munificent as the best of couch surfers.

Leigh is the kind of person u will never regret to meet nor forget; cause she's so nice; sweet; relaxed and heplful that makes u feel part of a family.....aaaaah talking about this her family is also wonderful; specially his husband Noah; he is a very interesting man; and attonishing beatiful daughter; so sweet....i'll never forget them, but also i'm sure we will meet again. Hey also she cooks amazing Patatas Bravas; hehe (hoooooot, really). Leigh please be always in touch. I highly recomend her for everything....

Leah and Noah are amazing and interesting couple, we had a drink and chatted together at Checkers in Buffalo, I look forward to see them again and listing to their amazing stories.

 

This morning I was sad to see you leave after just 2 days. What a lovely family you are. It was like if I've known you for ages! I really hope all your projects get realized and looking forward to meet you again one day.

My experience with Leah, Noah and their daughter was just fantastic. There was an ease and comfort that flowed both ways so quickly! I found myself thinking, wow, I could share a house with these guys for a while! They seem to "fit" in so naturally... Good company, great conversation, and love kids. We're hoping they decide to visit Roanoke a lot - or that we find the money to visit them!!

Leigh, Noah, and Lila were wonderful to have at our home! They were fun, interesting, and full of life. I was so glad to hear from them after they stayed with our dear friends in Trets, France and was looking forward to their visit with us. We had good times eating, drinking, and talking movies! I met her while she was couchsurfing with my boyfriend's family. She and her family were fun to talk with. They have been to many places and have interesting stories.

 

Leigh, Noah, and Lila are awesome people. I admire them and their experiences. The life that Leigh and Noah are living with little Lila is rich and wonderful. Lila is an amazing 4 year old. I certainly hope that they can stay with us again. Who knows, maybe I will find myself overseas someday and stay with them.

I met Leigh at my first CS dinner. She was very engaging in conversation. I look forward to running into her at future events.

 

Hi Leigh it was great meeting you love your sense of humor. Always nice to see someone who loves to smile.

 

Not just interesting, but a truly engaging person, with a breadth of life experiences. However, Leigh, don't think that just because I was so engrossed in conversation that I won't remember to hold you accountable for following though with a promised CS event at the CL prior to Argentina.

As a belated reference, I want to say that Leigh was very considerate, and tried to help me out when I was in trouble. I know there was some miscommunication and she did not view me as a gracious guest, and for this I am sorry. I had had problems with the others I was traveling with, and didn't know how to deal with the peer pressure, and unfortunately it interfered with my stay with Leigh. However, she is very gracious to couch surfers, and I appreciate her help. I also had a lot of fun with her daughter.

 

I first met Leigh and her husband at our house BBQ gathering for Atlanta CS'ers. She is aces- easy to talk to, interesting, offers some really great travel advice, and has an ability to make you feel comfortable and at ease from the moment you meet her. Definitely hope to meet up while in Pananma!

 

She stole my steak. Guard your steak, people.

 

Enjoyed talking to Leigh about her travels and work! Hope to be able to do so again. A very warm and interesting gal. :)

We spoke at length with Leigh's husband and they live such an incredible life with open minds. Very great people and we hope to see them a few more times before they head off on their next big adventure. :)

 

Leigh is incredibly open and friendly, overall a great person to have as part of the Atlanta CS community.

 

I met Leigh at an Atlanta couchsurfing dinner. She is such a terrific person. Her love of traveling and her stories are so fantastic. It is so admirable to meet a family that travels with such a young child. I am eager to meet with her again and continue discussions about recyclable purses and well as sustainable living. I wish her and her family best of luck on their future endeavors!

I was looking forward to meeting her at my potluck dinner party last week, but she didn't come. I'm glad we finally had a chance to meet in person! She knows my sister and friend so I know we will have more opportunity to get to know each other.

 

Leigh has a way to put you at ease and fill the air with peaceful vibes. I really enjoyed talking about Panamá and hope to hear more about island-life.

Met up with Leigh and her family for breakfast on one of the last days in Bocas. She's a lovely person, and I wish I had more time to get to know her. See you somewhere in the world Leigh!

Leigh, Noa and Lila! What an amazing family...

Since the first e-mails we shared to the dinner they host for us and other friends, their energy was always out there for everyone to experience.
Leigh simply blows my mind with smart and some times just crazy topics, and my hips whenever we decided on dancing.
The comfort you'll find in their house (wherever in the world they are at the moment) has no comparison.
With these guys you'll experience:

-Lots of cool people (Good energy surrounds itself with good energy).
-Crazy talks over cigarettes.
-Laughs as strong as the ocean.
-Fucking hot, delicious, "Patatas Bravas"
-Friendship to the best.

Leigh and her family are incredible. I originally met them at a CS gathering in Atlanta, then they graciously hosted me and 3 friends at their beautiful place in Panama for a few days. They're wonderful hosts, interesting and so fun. Their daughter is absolutely precious. Staying them was better than we could ever have imagined! Thanks so much and can't wait to see you in Atlanta!

I met Leigh over dinner and though conversation was conducted peek-a-boo style, I had a great time talking with her. Hopefully we'll see each other again in CR or I'll have to pay her a visit in beautiful Bocas!

The first time I actually stayed with a surfer was at Leigh's. We really had an amazing time. All the plans just fell into place perfectly and we didn't stop laughing the entire time. Her husband and her daughter are great company and the four of us had a blast. I will def stay with them again and can't wait to see in beautiful Panama sometime soon. xo

Leigh just seemed liked the nicest, sweetest, person... it would be nice to meet up again.

 

We stayed for one night with Leigh, Noah and Lila - after looking from a wrong island first :) It was so nice to be with you, walk together on the beach and spend time in your wonderful new home. I really enjoyed visiting with Leigh and Noah during their stay in Atlanta. Our creativity interests we share could make for many more positive exchanges in the future.

It was a pleasure to meet Leigh, Noah and Lila for lunch. They were a delight. Listening to their story, I realized how brave they are to take leap into a new life. I sincerely want to keep in touch and see how things turn out. It's like a book unfolding as it happens in real life. Being a writer, I can imagine this will be a great story Leigh can write about her life with Noah and Lila. I hope we meet again.

Leigh, Noah, and Lila are fantastic! I met up with them in Atlanta at a nice CS brunch. I have a very deep respect for what they are doing. I hope they find their ideal locale to call home, and if not, the pursuit is nothing short of beautiful. I hope to see them soon and wish them best in Panama. They hold wonderful company so do not pass up the opportunity to get to know them.

 

Leigh and Noah are really cool cats! I mean, anyone who has the courage to sell their home and travel the world until they find the next best place that they want to live and raise their child are A-okay in my book for sure! Although we did not get the chance to talk as much as I would have liked due to the size and logistics of the gathering, I enjoyed my conversations with both and hope to continue our chats as they venture onward! Leigh is wonderful company. I was lucky enough to spend a few hours chatting and laughing with her and her husband. They are great people, at ease and very friendly.

Leigh and I originally met through a mutual acquaintance at a friends of Rhythm Society adnce. She introduced me to couchsurfing, and graciously invited me to meet some new community. Since then, we've found much in common and good times together. Leigh is warm, generous of spirit, funny, really great company, and a super considerate surfer. Hosting her is giving yourself a treat.

I got to meet Leigh and Noah through drinks with BritInTheWorld in Toronto. They shared their amazing adventures they've had travelling and couchsurfing with their daughter and we chatted about their plans in the future that include Panama and living life to the fullest. It's inspiring to hear about their lives and you should host them or stay with them to become part of their adventures!

 

Leigh, Noah, and Lila are a group of surfers that are not to be passed up. I too hope that our paths cross again, and I am sure they will.

I didn't really had chance to talk to Leigh much, but I had chance to meet Noah and their cute lil daughter. Her daughter was really generous with me giving all her gathered leaf to me, as compliments I made a fake flower with those leafs =P.

I think I've found the woman I aspire to be, traveling with her family and having a jet setting daughter at the ripe age of 3! A very insightful, caring individual! I look forward to working with her in planning my own trip to Europe!

 

you know what? she updated her reference for me, so i'm gonna do the same. as she has said, we met at the tail end of a cs potluck in buffalo and kinda decided to keep in touch. Well, one thing led to another and before i knew it, we were emailing back and forth and i subscribed to her awesome blog (thefutureisred) and LOVED her writing. Now i get to see her again next month in buffalo, 10 months after i met her the first time....this time, i'm not wasting the opportunity and plan to hog her all to myself. (well, i'll allow her daughter lila some time with her, but that's it, LOL)

 

Leigh and her husband Noah came to meet me for drinks in Toronto. They were a lot of fun to chat with and very interesting at the same time. They gave me a ride home right across the city, which was nice... Good luck with your travels guys!

It is a fortune that this persons are present in this comunity . This is the beauty of couchsurfing, they are intelligent ,educated, light in the behavour , calm . we spent a day to the beach and than a night in the house of my friend Elisa in Santa Marinella, the dauther is fantastic, she is still so little and is particulary soft in her so little hands.I can never forget them and hope to see them again in my home in Flroence or in the beautifull Provence if will be possible. anyway where they will decide to stop a day. All the best to all them .

 

Leigh is a wonderful generous thoughtful person who is an absolute delight to know. If you get the chance to meet her, even if you have to travel continents to do it, you will count it among the most meaningful experiences of your life.
