Staying with Olga while I visited her beautiful city was an outright treat!

Olga is an absolute pleasure to be around, not only welcoming myself into her lovely home but welcoming me into her life, showing me a great time out in St. Petersburg and revealing to me a side of the city I never would have discovered on my own.

It is experiences like these and meeting people like Olga that make me really love the couchsurfing project.

Olga has a wonderful place to stay, and she is a master at coordinating schedules. I wish we could have hung out more, but it seemed as though she was quite busy. She went above and beyond the call of duty for a host, and I really appreciated it. Thanks Olga for letting me enjoy your palace! I hope you had a good Halloween party and enjoyed the chocolates!!

Re: Reference... I try and be positive and open to all circumstances, so I wrote a kind review because I felt that I might not have understood, offended or intruded on her busy schedule. Thus, I stayed as unobtrusive as possible. However, truth be told I would have rather stayed in a hostel as I had to be outside from 8:30am to 9 pm the first day, and 8:30 to 12am the following evening. There was little time for us to communicate, but during that time I did tell her the chocolates were a present from my students in Mongolia, so a gift was not my intention. I couldn't carry them anymore, but I guess I should've trashed 'em

All my stay at Olga's place was facilitated by a truly military sense of organization. It made her possible to host me during her working days and communicate with me having no phone. Had a nice diner at her, during which I experienced what is russian warmth.

She is really energetic, cheerful and hospitable girl!

I had so much fun with Olga and her great friends! She is a wonderful host and I feel lucky to meet her! Olga is very intelligent person and also very funny! Thank you for such a fun time and I hope to host you and your friends in Colorado anytime you like!

 

Vera good experience with Olga! She put me up at the last minute and her place was very cosy. Definitely and interseting encounter as we went out in St. Pete for a few drinks!

Getting to meet Olga was our best experience yet! She is an amazing person, very good at English and knows a lot about culture (both Russian and English). She made a lovely Russian dinner for us and it was great to get to know her. Her apartment is very nice and she lives in a lovely area :) Very positive!!

I`m very thankful to her as she accepted to host me even if I was completely new to couch surfing experience. The place is very beautiful, she`s a very good host and I feel sorry as I couldn`t get to know her better due to our different schedules and some problems I had meeting with my best friend in Spb.

Olga hosted me and my friend for several days and was very hospitable :) It's a pitty that we didn't get to know each other better and spend more time chatting, but even from the chats over tea and in the evenings it's clear that she's a really creative and fun person and has a great sense of humor :)

Olga hosted me in her wonderful house 2 nights. we had a great italian spaghetti party with some friends of her. Friendly, intelligent and very interested people...

 

Olga hosted me for couple of nights in her beautiful place in St Petersburg and we had ionteresting conversations about style, London, CS and, of course, men. She's a straightforward girl with strong opinions and sense of humour, I enjoyed chatting with her and surfing her couch.

Pushing the envelope... especially for privacy ...crazy stuff for your trip, best places and where to go, hanging around in a backyard, wannabe hippie at all...and she knows how to avoid the moscitos;)

I met Olga in 2007 and I don't regret about even a minute I've spent in her company.
Olga is a very interesting and easygoing individual. She is the person you will have no problems to communicate with.
Also she has really great friends and I was happy to meet them too.
If you will have a chance to travel with Olga or stay at her wonderfull apartment - don't loose it, as you won't regret.

 

Olga welcomed me when I joined the St. Petersburg group and she was so kind to host me when I responded to that first greeting telling her that I will be looking for a couch. Thanks to Olga i had an awesome time in St. Petersburg. Even if she was working a lot, she's been really helpful whenever she had the chance.
Her humor might sound intimidating at first but as soon as you grasp it you're gonna have a lot of fun.

Meeting Olga was the highlight of my trip to St.Petersburg, which says a lot given that it is such a beautiful and interesting city. Her dry direct humour is only surpassed by her genuine kindness, if you are fortunate enough to be hosted by her you are sure to enjoy a very memorable experience, and leave with a fantastic new friend.

 

Olga is a very sweet host who helped me out a lot in Saint-Petersburg. I met her nice friends, ate some lovely russian cuisine, and got to see some cartoons projected on the bridges among the other great attractions in town.

ı met with olga in stP on a boat trip for organised by herself. she is very helpful and feels responsible for csers. we had a really amazing boat trip under fireworks by courtesy of her. we had told about cs spirit on the way to city center. thanks for everything again hope to see you in istanbul boat trip.

Met Olga in St. Petersburg, she showed me around to many churches and bridges and teached me in Russian history. Thank you again!

Olga was an amzing host - my friend Bec and I stayed with her for a few days and she was amazing! We went to a cat show, a CS meeting, had a day out and had a great night in too :) She is more than welcome to come to London any time... I can't wait to see her again!!

 

Olga like to have responssabilities and to take decisions. It' s really safe to travel with her. We went to Firenze together with other people, and we meet in Milan during many meeting and parties...

I met Olga in Helsinki. She was the organizer of SanktPetersburg Invasion in Helsinki. She is filled with the connecting idea of couchsurfing and a dedicated person. I appreciate this a lot and even I did not host her, I can recommend her as a trustworthy person.

We met during her group´s Helsinki invasion and finally she slept overnight in my flat. She´s really active, talkative, hospitality spirited girl, who makes you feel comfortable in her company. We were quite tired but had during our walk in the evening good conversations. I can recommend to be hosted by her, host or meet her, if you get in contact.
Maybe we should try Helsinki/Finnish members in St. Peters weekend someday, we are many who never visited there yet:)

 

She organized the Helsinki invasion and let me know really great people from St. Petersburg. She's a great girl but gave up too early from the party :) Hope we'll continue next time...

I met Olga together with Sasha during an aperitivo in Milan... about 40 more people were there, my three wonderful guests from France as well, but it was so natural to sit down and start to talk together :) definitely a very nice girl, pretty enough to claim your attention and smart enough to keep you sitting down :D and it was super to meet Olga and Sasha at Maurizio and on other occasions in Milan. Olga is a a very bright personality. Noone will feel bored with her. She's very open and live. Will always find something to discuss and where to have fun. Hosting, she gives surfers outstanding conditions and after, all is up to them, but once you're just respectful you'll never forget the time of your stay!
On CS Meetings she organizes in St Pete, you'll always distinguish where she is just heading to the place where the most fun is happening :)

Olga is one of the most active CS members I've met. Very smart and talkative, during the CS meeting in S. Petersburg she organized I managed to meet many interesting people. She even invited me to her "palace" which is a "palace" indeed and we shared many opinions and experiences together with Sasha drinking beer and weird "beer snacks" I've never tried before!! I will make it my personal commitment to host her in my house as soon as possible!

I've been loving her hairstyle and laughing style from the very beginning of our friendship. Olia is a scepial girl, very creative, energetic and true-hearted.

First it was Meeshell & Xinying. Then Dan & Matt. Four guests in a couple of weeks, that's how I got to know of Olga Alimova. If CS is about getting to know people, then most definitely she's pretty much got a very good rep set up. Meeting her would make it clear why. She's a lighthouse for SPb. Or maybe a loudspeaker? We finally met when she hosted me over last weekend (15-17 Sept 2007). My gosh: what an unforgettable time!

 

Olga made me laugh loads of times, because she's a crazy girl and very funny. Just as the feeling of becoming old was starting to creep into my mind, Olga told me I looked like a 17 year old. That made my day! Thanx for hosting me, Olga. My God, you snored so loudly! Or maybe it was Deric...

Olga is a very good host. I stayed at her place during this summer and we had a lot of fun in st. petersburg walking around there at night.

What can you say about a girl who will stand between you and a raging Russian guy ready to attack. Yeah, that is what I thought. So bedazzled was I, that I blocked his attack with my left eye and got away with just a scar. Our following days spent at the police station and hospital were most interesting and endeared me to the true kindness of Russian hospitality. That aside, I visited her dacha, got beaten by her aunts bush in a sauna, had an adventure with a parked car, and just plained hung out. I also inspired her to quit smoking. It was definitely a pleasure serving with her highness of St. Petersburg in her palace and I hope to do it again someday. For everyone else, is you are one of the lucky people to stay with Olga, you are in for a great time!

Olga is a really cool host and we enjoyed out stay at her place a lot. I´m very grateful that she took us to a couchsurfing meeting, as we met lots of nice people there. I still can´t understand how she can sweet yoghurt with salty crackers, but anyways, I wanna thank her for a crazy time in St Pete!

I met Olga at one evening in Dickens Pub, where there was a CS meeting, I just arrived. She was immediately very energetic and laughing lot, which I liked very much! She will tell you exactly what she means, good and direct, so you know what is expected of you. That is why I liked being her guest, even though it was very short. I hope to meet her again.

Olga has a certain enthusiasm towards CS that I have rarely seen:). At one point during my visit at her flat, she was expecting something like 8 other couchsurfers! She welcomed me to her summer cottage, where I met some of her family and could see where her hospitlatiy comes from. Also, she showed me one of my best first nights in a new city EVER: a spontenous boat ride through the city to watch the bridges rise! Not to mention all the fun we had organising cs parties (even if it was just the two of us baby;))! She is a lot of fun, and you will have a great time with this girl if you meet her. olga has a genuinely extroverted nature. she is exploding all the time with jokes, new ideas, thoughts and emotions. and she can whistle so well :)

It was really a super time with Olga but very short! The appertment is very clean, also if she said you must put on some sleepers! Also for swiss relations I mean. So, I will say, keep it rockin on and have fortunately a nice time Olga!

Olga was great! She hosted us for four days in her home and in that time she allowed us in to her life, we met some her acquaintances, went out on the town together, and shared some nice breakfasts. She even held a great spur of the moment birthday celebration for me (Misha)!

Olga was a fantastic host of St. Petersburg; she helped me get past the facades and into the heart of the city, even inviting me to her brother's wedding! We had a great time together; meet up with her if you get the chance.

 

Olga is the princess of St Petersburg. In a very strange way, no matter where you look you'll find her there. A simple email suggesting a small CS meeting turned into a non-stop hosting/tour-guiding experience. Endless parties at her place with lots of random people that lasted long after the break of dawn, day trips outside St Pets, chicken soups and breakfasts, help in any possible way and hand painting are just a few of the things one could experience with Olga. Positive attitude to the max, hospitality like no other, more energy than the Duracell bunny and a constant desire to have around her as many people and as often as possible makes her an absolutely wonderful person. Olga, i can't thank you enough for everything that you did for me during my stay in St Pets. I truly hope i one day get the opportunity to try and live up to your standards of hospitality.
