Quirien Q Wijnberg

Hands down, Q is great company. Always up for good conversation, new/exciting food or random adventure, Q is a pleasure to be around - as a host or surfer! Both Shu & Q are very pleasant friends who I'm lucky to have met.

Had a great time in Dhaka with Q - from eating at Dhaba to driving around the city in the early morning hours. Looking forward to hosting you in Cairo! See you soon!

Q is an avid traveler and a great CSer. Amongst people I know, he is the most widely traveled. If you want tips on travel and CS, Q is the 'go to' person. He is always sharing info and can discuss diverse topics. I enjoy reading his blog postings. There is always much to learn from him.

Q has a very pleasant personality. He is warm, friendly, and easy to get along with. He is interesting, open-minded, and has a sense of humor too. I have not had the pleasure of being treated to his cooking, but I hear the man can cook!

I'm honored to have Q as my friend.

 

One day was way to short of a visit, but Q was a very easy guest and I enjoyed the little time we had to chat. You are always welcome back:)

Q is a generous, fun-loving and overall fabulous person. And, it's not just because he's Shu's partner! :D We've been having a good time at Brauhaus and sharing stories of life.

Finding that Shu and Q live only blocks away from us was SUCH an awesome surprise. They're sweet people who are always up for food/movies/dancing/twister. If I had to rate these guys on a scale of 1-10, I give them an ELEVEN.

During my visit to Abu Dhabi Q was a great host. He was native also Dutch and i brought some local Dutch stuff. Shu was a few days away, so we did not met. At one of my last days Q took me to some funny local bars and there we met some other local CS people. It was interesting to hear how life is in AD.Q's tip to visit the Zayed Bin Sultan al Nahyan Moskee was also great. Thanks again for hosting and let me know when you are visiting the Netherlands.

Q meeting Q was a fun event.:)...Q is a very jovial person with a very good sense of humor...he is lively and spontaneous with his thoughts...he and his camera are inseparable!!...though we could only host him for a day at our place, we look forward to him coming back along with Shu...

 

Absolutely positive guy! We met at a party in Minsk. And I was amazed when found out that Q had only arrived in Minsk a few hours before. He could have been born Belarussian. hehe! =) Great sense of humour! Great personality! Great spirit of adventure! And at the same time calm and thoughtful! It's a pity we only met once while you were in Belarus.

Q is a great man! I met him on CS meeting. he had a camera. I had never seen cameras like this one before. we had great time. good sense of humor, good choice of beer :)

 

Another adventurous spirit, Q arrived and was super easy to host. He fit right in at our little CS party and was not only no trouble but very enjoyable to have around as a guest.

I met Q at Minsk couchsurfers meeting and the next day we attended modern theatre performance and then some pizza with our friends. I really liked his smile and he is really nice guy. Q is one of the people that I really would like to meet again.

I hosted quirien in my home . As he was going to trek around the Pokhara : I helped to get a flight ticket to Pokhara.
We talked many things about the nepal and UAE . I hope : i will meet him again soon either in nepal or UAE.

Q and his wife Shu are the key the Couchsurfing in Abu Dhabi. They organise all the get togethers, and have introduced me to a range of CS people in Abu Dhabi. Our random meetings are now becoming more frequent, maybe in the future we can actual organise to meet up!?! Either way I'm looking forward to hanging with him again

Q is extremely friendly, very well traveled and he does not like crazy GCC drivers.

Q is a dude. He's extremely friendly and welcoming, and full of good advise and useful contacts. It's thanks to him we have a car :-)

Shu and Q are a great couple. They are easy going, funny, talkative, relaxed, etc etc. I enjoyed chatting with them about their traveling experiences, and their life in Abu dhabi. They even treated me for lunch and dinner. (shu, i really like the lebanese food we ate and whever i think of the lemon sherbet that Q made, it just makes me remember how sour it is! :D) Oh, and they have a great flat (i think i came at the right time coz the just had their flat cleaned! hahaha :P), and a very comfortable sofa to sleep on to! :D so all in all, i highly recommend that meeting them is a must! :)

I think what you see of Quirien, you can take at face value. He's got a good head on him (not only that it's on the large-ish side!), and it is full of quite interesting things.

I've known Q for a couple of years now and he became one of my bests friends. He is a very friendly, open person, always happy to help you out, and always in the mood to do fun stuff. He is a great cook and loves cooking for other people wich is great since I kinda suck in the kitchen :) Anywayz, he's just a really friendly guy and am sure you wil have the best time staying with him!

 

Q and I met in Cuba in Nov 2004. He let me surf at his apartment back in Sept 2005, and it was such a wonderful experience. Showed me around the town, and even took me on the back of his motorcycle for a weekend trip to Luxemburg. That was some serious fun. Great CS host! (Also bestest boyfriend - not that it is relevant in CS, but I just thought to mention that. :)

Q, related to one of my best friends, became a close friend when I moved to the city he lives in. Now we live just one block away from each other (that's why we've never ended up at each others couch). He is a life loving person with interests in all sorts of disciplines. But travelling and food might be two of both our favorites
