ABOUT ME

Billy Crystal is told in 'City Slickers' that the route to happiness is finding one thing, one thing that can make your life tick and feel fulfilled. At 24 my one thing is trying in some small way to ameliorate the damage that humanity has reaped upon this planet.

How I'm going to achieve this is another matter, graduated with a BSc in Zoology last July and currently living in Madrid studying for a MSc in Environmental Management, after that who knows...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Every opportunity I get I try to spread the idea of Couchsurfing to all my friends and people that I know are travelling so they can get in contact with people who know where they are going best. It is through project like couchsurfing that greater understanding of different people, races, nations etc... can be made. I´m moving to Madrid in October so hopefully I can be a more active member and start hosting people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Travelled around Europe two summers ago couch surfing and truly had the time of my life. I saw so much more of the places I visited than I would have done had I stayed with other tourists. Last summer spent travelling around South America with my best friend once again trying to Couchsurf- awesome!

Interests

Travelling, mountaineering, attempting to understand the complexities of life and failing:-) - I'm a zoologist and as such I´m trying to find a way for us as a species to live not necessarily in harmony with other species, as that may not be possible but at least in such a way that other species can survive and flourish rather than just perpetually struggling.

Music, Movies, and Books

Too many to even try and discuss in such a small box but my tastes range from Dumas- Wilson in books. The great Amadeus- Zeppelin in music and my favourite film, well that´s just far too difficult.
