About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Improve my parenting, art and life skills

ABOUT ME

A single dad co-parenting two hyperactive kids wednesday to saturday with not enough hours in the day. Don't travel as much as would like so keen to travel vicariously with CS's.
Working during the week but happy to show visitors around town w'ends time permitting, often it doesn't these days unfortunately.
We are 25min from town by train and not really a party house as the kids are here. We also prioritise requests from people who also host couchsurfers and have references.
With my disability i have carers here mornings and nights, its not a big deal and they are only here for an hour or two. But it means that the first night i ask you arrive before 8pm so i can show you around. after that feel free to come and go as you please.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Basically none, but LOVE the concept.

Interests

Art, kids, reading, and sleeping.
Main hobby is drawing (although not doing as much as I would like) and painting (Instagram poulsenbrett any guests willing to sit for a drawing or painting would be appreciated)
I have a highly modified car to accommodate my wheelchair. Very happy to day trip around brisbane with any one in need of a tourguide if time permits. Recently went to one of brisbane nudist parks for the first time, that was heaps of fun and a great day, very happy to do that again!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

umm, saw my daughters being born, the rest pales

What I Can Share with Hosts

I get asked what to see in Brisbane:
i think the tourist things are ok if you're only here a short time; south bank, art gallery, museum, west end, and saturday west end market, 2 city botanical gardens, ferry ride down the river then hire bikes and ride back to the city along the river on bike paths. if you can get out of the city (if you have transport), North Stradbroke island is gorgeous, Coochiemudlo island is nice, Enoggera reservoir to bush walk / swim or cedar creek falls at samford. Enjoy!

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, New Caledonia, New Zealand, Spain, United Kingdom, Vanuatu
