ABOUT ME

I set out in 2011 to travel the west and do some self exploration in an RV ... I got the opportunity to adventure through many national parks and different landscapes, falling in love with all of them but at the same time still searching for that perfect place. I didn't travel for long before finding the most beautiful vortex of nature offering such a perfect mixture of wild life and wild flowers... the creeks and rivers seem to transverse the landscape at every turn. Time stands still here, only the sun moves and during that time you get some work done. Life is simple and I enjoy the simplicities and peaceful tranquility I have found... in this small mountain town. As Mason Jennings says, you gotta get lost before you can get found.

PHILOSOPHY

Just do everything with the best intentions for others in mind. I try to be as self less as possible, working myself away from having to many possesions, really trying to get back to the basics of life and figure out why the f#?! we're here.

Hosted, but now i'm travelin so bein hosted. fun times! I meet the best people through this site! I typically have space in my RV, if you notice you're near by, send a message to see if our routes match up.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've really enjoyed the types of people i've been able to meet through the website. Everyone seems to have such an open mind and an eagerness to explore and learn about the world. I think it's so great this has taken off world wide linking people of like-mindedness.

Interests

I like taking pictures of life moments and nature... I'm a volunteer fire fighter learning about the nature of that beast =) I never had any idea how much was involved with firefighting, my hats off to all first responders but especially the people that put themselves on the front lines and immediate risk. I have a garden going, learning about this climate area, hoping to make it bigger each year, and hopefully by next spring we'll have chickens!

Music, Movies, and Books

Books... well, recent books would be "Mutant Message Down Under", "Water", "My Ishmael", "I am that", "celestine prophecy" ... as for movies. my favorite is a french film "Love me if you dare" . enjoy documentaries, comedies, independent and foriegn films.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've sky dived a couple of times... that is pretty intense. I've lived in Hawaii, sat at the foot of waterfalls in Yosimte National Park, watched the both sunrise and sunset at the Grand Canyon, seen some of the largest trees in King Canyons, trail of 100 giants in Kernville, white water rafted the Kern River, been all over the desert, slab city, Joshua Tree, wwoofed, ziplined in Washington, did a medical mission to remote villages in Peru,hiked machu picchu, went to a rainbow gathering... amazing is just being on the road and feeling the magic of life.

I'd like to learn Spanish... learning how to play drums. I feel like i'll always be a student, always trying to learn something new.
