Couch Information

I have a spare room with a double mattress and also a comfortable couch in the living room.

***************** MY LIFESTYLE *****************
I live in the countryside in a small village (Stadel) outside the city Winterthur. I live together with my mother and two lovely cats. We are something like a flat-sharing community. My mum is also very laid-back and like to meet new people as much as me.
I have a fulltime job and work 8 hours per day during the week and sometimes at night, but if you want to do something in the evening, I would be pleased to accompany you or show you around. But if you would like to spend more time with me, weekends would be best to stay.

I'm a smoker, but it's a non-smoking-flat. I always go outside.

*************** ABOUT MY COUCH ***************
Our guestroom is at the same time our office. That's why sometimes during the day or in the evening my mother works on the computer in this room, but not every day. Furthermore we can come to an agreement. No problem!

You don't need a sleeping bag or something like that. I have enough blankets.

*************** HOW TO GET HERE ***************
We don't have public traffic in Stadel. Either you have a car or if you don't mind to walk, there is a train station 15 minutes away. There is a train which goes directly to Zurich every hour and to Winterthur as well. If I have time, I would pick you up cause I have a car.

***************** SURROUNDING *****************
Winterthur is a nice city with a great atmosphere. It's good for shopping and we have some nice bars and restaurants here. But it's not as spectacular for sightseeing I think. But there are good connections by train to for example Zurich or St. Gallen and also to Konstanz (Germany).

For those who like golf: There is a teeing ground as it were directly beside my home.

I stayed at Samira'S place 2 nights and I got a warm welcome meal... for real. ^^ She's got a good heart and, sorry for mentioning that love, the greatest laugh of all, which just killed me laughing. I liked that a lot.

We were a little bit embarassed because of our unplanned arrival but Samira and her mother were very comprehensive and welcoming. Samira seems to be a very positive and peachy girl, always smiling. We had great meal cooked by her mother together and even if we stayed only one night we had enough time to share our experiences and point of view about different things.

We hosted Samira for 1 night on her way back to Switzerland and we spend a very good time with her.
We share esperiences, talks and we play a Swiss board game which was very nice.
She is a very easy going and interesting young lady. She is always smiling, talking and ready to give a hand. she is a very good couchsurfer.
We wish her all the best and hope to see her anywhere around the world.

Sam came to stay for I think 3 nights, she cooked us some lovely food, drank some lovely wine with us, told us many funny stories and generally chilled with us for a few days and nights.

Sam taught us all about the difference between Switzerland & Sweden and even brought Toblerone for us all the way from Switzerland.

I met Samira at my host in Letterkenny, Brian, and she definitely made our stay there memorable. She took me and my sister on a drive around Fanad, and we had such a great time even if it was raining. She's also a VERY good cook, and she also know how to make some really delicious food :) funny, openminded and great to talk with...about ANYTHING ^^ thanks for many great discussions, great food and loads of craic and FUN :)

Sam is so sweet, and fun to be around. I met her in Letterkenny, when she surfed at the same host as me and my sister. We had loads of fun with her, drinking tea and driving around. She is so fun to hang around, and she is good at the piano.
And we stayed up all night, and had a great time.
I hope to meet up again :P
