Sergio, the bicycle guy, is so sweet and funny (portuguese with english humour? haha)! He host me in Lisbon for two days when her housemate forget that I was coming to the place. I wish to see you when you will doing your crazy bike trip in America!

Sergio is the "Bike man"! He's always having these crazy/healthy ideas for trips on a bicycle.

Sergio was extremely helpful and even fixed a dodgy lightswitch in my house! He´s a very experienced couchsurfer and has some great stories from his travels.

I hosted him for 2 days in Madrid. He was helpful around the house and I thank him for that. I hope you have enjoyed Madrid!!

Sergio, I would like you to know that I am completely in awe of your idiosyncrasies, and passionate, kind-hearted, playful spirit! And also, you're freakin' amazing organizational ablities (yeah that little Russia folder was impeccable!)

 

I staid with Sergio,Cesar and Nina 1 night in lisbon. They are great hosts, kind, funny and helpfull. i hope to meet them soon again somewhere...maybe in budapest? :)

We took up his place for a couple of days, and enjoyed a party, a concert and a great spanish food together, wasn’t it? lol. You will spend funny moments with him, with his spontaneous personality, he is a boy hidden in a man's body! It was a pleasure to spend some time together!!

We had a great time in Lisbon with Sergio and his roomates. Too bad we didn't get the back route into Lisbon for cyclist that you told us about. Next time we'll bike together.

Sorry if you have heard me snoring. Very creative, hardworking. We share a secret passion. He was my private beer carrier and translator to correct my mistake at the ticket selling machine. Somehow the validation was for 48 hours instead 24. Are you coming to Hamelin in January?

For my first couchsurfing experience, I ended up with 4 ambassadors ! LOL !

hosted via HC in Berlin 2005 - I was the lucky one he cooked dinner for :) happily remembering this as well as conversation on the greatest marathon route of all!

stayed for 2 days at his and cesar's place. nice guy passionate about trains and his bike :) we had a nice and interesting stay.

Sergio - unbelievable cycler! I couldn't believe he reached Kazakhstan border from Germany by bike in one month, it's crazy, hard and I admire him. And I like this ecologic type of transportation - his biggest hobby - very much as well. On the other hand I have seen Sergio driving "CouchSurfing car" (car provided to the CS community - cool isn't it?) which was also interesting. Sergio has so many plans - fantastic long trips across the world by bicycle, lot of great stories and he also gave me more good tips about planning and transportation by e-maps/internet. I wish him many lucky kilometers by bike!

He is one of the best guy that I know in my life.He loves cycling.He helps his friends in many stuffs.He is great guy.see ya.

What can I say about Sergio other than that his is one of the coolest cats I've met on this recent trip. Go for a ride with the guy...you can use my bike! Love ya Brother!

Sergio is a sportive guy full of energy. On the day I arrived he just survived from a marathon competition and got one leg injured at the same time. But he still welcomed my stay for 2 days. And the presidential campaign speech he and his friends took me to was impressive. Very nice to meet him ,Nina and Cesar as well. Thank Sergio for everyhthing!

Very nice guy. He was hosting me for three days. During our stay he had an accident on his bike, marathon run and was preparing CS bike tour. Despite all this things he was always nice and smiling. He treated and tooke care of me so kindly even though I stayed at his house during working days. And he showed his amazing cooking skill. If you go to his house you can experience his warm hospitality

unfortunately sergio had to work a lot of the time i was there but he gave me stellar recommendations and then cooked me great food in the evenings. whatever that stale bread soup-pudding is called, it is amazing! thanks again, buddy. hope the tooth is better!

We met eating sardines and drinking sangria at the portuguese CS meeting at Alfama, and he told me some truly fascinating stories about his travels... you can guess what that means to a newbie like myself.

Oh! Sergio is my rescuer! I got sick with quinsy and he went to drugstore and made dinner for me and his lemon tea is something very special. He is incredibly helpful guy. I can't express how grateful I am.

YES, Sergio is a CRAZY guy with a fantastic idea cycling all over the world!!! He was a very good guest not only because he repaired my washing mashine, the door lock and my brother’s bike…)))This guy can warm everyone with his good mood, great sense of humor and THE BIGGEST HUG in the world))) Don’t miss the chance hosting Sergio!! My family including my bird liked him very much. He even found a common language with my mum who speaks only russian. Sergio has an incredible heart for travel and meeting new people. We lived in a Student Residence, with +/- 200 people. He is someone with a huge heart, wide open to the world.

I'me amazed (but not surprised) with his big bike adventure around the world. :)

Once upon a time there were CS chat and seems I was adoptee by this crazy huge family and now i plan my travells with the purpose to meet up all my chat relatives in person! Sergiolx and his inalienable part - THE BIKE were the first chatters Ive hosted (interesting is bike into chat too?). The bike were a bit dirty, silent and looked tired, but as for Sergiolx - he is such an confident, professional traveller, seems he knows Nizhny Novgorod better than I do! My parents loved him. Even tho i was not in my best shape he kept on smiling and saying - "everythig gonna be alright"! He is an extremely "positive thinker"! and the last thing (Achtung!!!)home made vodka (around 50 %) doesnt knock him to his knees!!! wow

 

This amazing guy was not able to find a couch in our huge city and had to scream in "last minute couch" forum for shelter. I was the first who answer him. He is one of the pioneers of this world he ready to discover it every minute in his life. The only fact that he was so desperate to start a rounf the world trip on bicycle could tell a lot about this person!!! Sergio I wish you a nice trip, I wish that all that you want in this trip become true. And also I wish that I will be the first who'll have your book with you autograph. See ya, man! Adeus amigo!

Upd: Well I host this incredible guy again when he stuck at the border of Kazakhstan. Imagine, he doesn't know that he had to have visa for this country! It was really something =))) His round-the-world-trip come to an end in Moscow. I wish that he will try again later and will be successful. And it will be really something!!

Well he is absolutely crazy guy, who came to Russia on bike )) and is planning the great world trip. I regret not being able to spend much time with him since he is incredibly interesting person and 4 sure very nice guy!! Wish u only exciting emotions and positive experience in ur journey!

I hosted Sergio for a night at the very begging os his trip around the world with bike. He is a nice person and I think his project is go great that evrybody should host him!

Sérgio was our first guest from CS and it was a great experience. He's a very warm and polite guy. We'll keep our fingers crossed for his enormous trip, so that everything will happen as he expect it!--- and no red lights--- Hope to meet him again!!!

 

Sergio was one of the most sympatic persons around over the days in Bremen, always happy and willing to share a huge sum of recommendable knowdledge he gathered over the time of traveling - with his next trip already ahead.
He even shared his 3g connection with everyone when the flat's WiFi broke down - how couldn't I as a geek-in-spe adcovate him and his CS and always helpful spirit in best matters? :)
Great and easy going times were ongoing all the time with him as polite but active soul around, so I absolutley recommend to enjoy meeting and hosting him when he passes by your town!

Sergio - this guy is full of energy! Always smiling and up for conversation which is easy because he`s an language-allrounder! We had a short (maybe at another meeting some more) and funny time and I will never forget crazy dancing with you...

I met this wonderful man during the Sinterklaas'08 event. I had an incredible time and an amazing tour around R'dam (definitely he is the best actor what I have ever met).
I haven't heard so much compliments in one day, and it's also nice to know that through me he remembered Latvia as a great time what he spent there :)
Remember what we promised each other??? So, the next meeting should be in Dusseldorf!!!!

We met with the picturequest at the Sinterklaas 2008 meeting. We had to take some pictures but at the end we really had to rush, because we had not enough time. That was because we did too many things that had nothing to do with the picturequest. Afterwards there was the party at which we amused ourselves really well.

He made the very good Sinterklaas-evening better, nicer and funnier! Great to meet you :-) and a very big hug back!

So many times we tried to get together unsucessfully. We finally got together in Gossau CH after more than a year of trying to meet. Serg is such a good person. I really enjoyed the time I spent with him.

 

This guy is really funny. I don't know how many times he hugged me, smiling at the Paella 2008. He is always smiling, joking ... a great guy to have fun with. I was supposed to give him a lift back home to Düsseldorf, but he immediately accepted it, when I asked him to go there with other CSers, as I wanted to stay a day longer.
We planned to see each other soon, cause we live really close to each other. Looking forward to it!

We first met at the 2007 Sinterklaas party in Rotterdam where we had some nice chats together, but he dissappeared without me remembering his name or username. Then we met again at the Berlin Beach camp, had some more nice chats and again I forgot to ask him for his name or username... After even more nice chats at the Paella he finally found me here :o)

Sergio was great fun and nice company in all these parties so I'm looking forward to more chats wherever it may be ;o)

We first met on chat a while back, and finally met at Berlin Beach Camp and then again at the Paella this july! We spent a long 6 hours together in the car to get there, all squished together, so I feel like I know him a lot better by now! Sergio is super-friendly and energetic, and I think I am sure to run into him again sometime soon!

 

Sergio, so funny with all his solar panels and electronic devices, but also interesting and unique among those I have met lately! He's always present at German speaking meetings, bring him something technological.

 

Sergio is full of surprises! We met for some time at Carnaval in Maastrich, and then I finally get to know a bit of the great sergio! Incredible dance moves! The robot, aerobic, cloth washing near the river dance moves!!! Then we combined moves and strut our stuff for more than 4 hours! All the people were perplexed and drawn them in like we were magnets! Good times! Wonder what the next encounter will bring!!

 

I know Sergio now for more then 2 years and invited him a few times to visit me with his (old) bike. But unfortnetly in 2006 he was so close to me and then he fly back home from Frankfurt to Portugal! Now he lives in Germany and i convinced him to come to the Berlin Beach Camp, where i hosted him for 2 nights in my tent and we had finally the chance for intensive exchange each other about trains, bikes, electronical gadgets and more other stuff. A lot in common, also the kind of work we do :=) I'm sure we will met soon again and will stay in contact! Great guy and a very good friend!

Update August 2008: We surfed and travelled together at Christans place during the Franconian Nürnberg CS Camp
Update September 2008: Serigo visited me at my home for the Bad Dürkeheimer Wurstmarkt, buying and tasting a lot of wine and discovering my area! hosted again 2 nights

 

Sergio is a regular chatter on CS chat. I meet him a lot in that room! Finally we met in person on the Berlin Beach camp 2008. Nice guy, see you in chat..

Sergio is funny, sometimes a bit weird, but funny, in the positive and right way! :) He can do really many special moves with his neck, head, arms, hands, fingers, ears, lips, nose... :) Nice guy to hang around with, and I totally like his biking prestations. Cycling is really one of the best ways to travel, and he did it!! Hopefully someday we could go cycling together, Sergio?

It was amazing experience met Sergio here in Polen. He is very friendly, good-humoured, cheerful with the sweetest smile.

We met for a beer, talked the night away, met again for a CS meeting, for dinner at my place (he prepared a yummy Mousse au chocolat!) ... and I'm sure we'll see each other quite frequently in the future. He is 100 percent trustworthy, interesting to talk to and listen to his stories, happy, easy going, makes the people around him feel good! He even helped a friend of mine moving into his new appartment without me being there... Million thanks for that!

Sergio is one of the oldest CS members in the area, traveled a lot, friendly, talkative, much talkative :) but once you get used to his chat style, its ok. He is actively taking part in almost all of the CS activities around here! See you soon again, I guess :)

He makes great sound imitations and seems very reliable. I really like that he had the courage to join us on the ice. It surely took me a lot more courage in the beginning ;)

I found in Sergio a sweet person, who enjoys talking to people, making jokes and that has a great passion for trains. We met Sergio at Nicco´s birthday, after remembering him from attending the CSinterklaas party.

We don´t know him that well, but we will surely pass Portugal in some way, and then pass his couch :)

I met Sergio at the Rotterdam Sinterklaas party, and we both surfed the same place. He is a a friendly and open person.

Extremely energetic guy, who seems never tired of talking, laughing, partying and just having fun! And probably the first person I meet in Netherlands, who has been even in my hometown :)...and not just visited, but cycled through it! Oh, and thanks for the delicious Portuguese cherry liqueur!:)

 

Sergio now seems to become very addicted to Couchsurfing and I see him as a trustworthy member.

sergio is a funny and interesting guy, he was full of surprises and interesting facts! he gave our meeting a special colour, and made me laugh all the time :) hope your bike will last long and take you to many other places around the globe!

 

I think is one of the most travelled guys in Cs that I know...so if u need some tips and get informed not only from Portugal...Europe or from planet Earth and neighbour planets... Sérgio is the one for u to get in contact ;)

Sergio stayed two nights with us. He brought his notebook along and entertained us with all sort of funny videos! But also with beautiful pictures from his cycling trips trough Portugal. Thanks for sharing this experiences, for speaking Portuguese with me and thank you for the very tasty meal you cooked! I do hope to see you soon again in Lisboa! Até mais, amigo!

 

Sergio is a very, very nice guest indeed, he even cooked a very delicious dinner for us - so he's welcome anytime again! Not only because of the dinner... ;^) He loves trains, bikes and chocolate... it was so funny watching him to pack all these chocolates into his backpack! Very tidy and charming also, and travelling with his laptop he also has some funny movies to show. Ask about the brazilian girl trying to pronounce www.youtube.com - it's the best! Hope to see you again in CH or P or wherever...

 

Sergio is a great man. Thanks to him i will be able to call cheaper, flight cheaper....and so many others things.
But more than material things....i win a new friendship and i am very happy about it.
I am wondering if i should ask for the portugese nationality...they are just so great people...and sure the country is as great as them.
Hope to share a bicycling experience with you one day....

sergio! Sergio is guy who can give u a lot of good tips about Portugal.he always has inf. about tickets, hostels... etsAll time online via mobile, so to reach him is earsy.He likes bikes,parties,wine,Disco and women.

A very nice person with good sense of humour and always ready to help when someone is in need.

 

What a sports enthusiast! When Sérgio arrived Aveiro it was already dark... He spent the whole day cycling up and down the hill! What a ride... I really admire his enthusiasm about bicycles. After that long day, besides a sore bottom, he also collected very reddish sun burns... poor guy!
His knowledge on Portuguese geography is amazing! He also gave me some hints about Latvia... he is one of the stimulators for my trip this summer to Riga!
Update: Me and Carlos spent one night at Sergio's place, after our return flight from the Baltic Region. Although we have stayed just for a couple of hours (late flight, early train), we had time to catch up and even to see some sketches of ‘Gato Fedorento’, a must! Sergio is a great guy, whom I chat with almost everyday on MSN! Tem muita pedalada :)

I hosted Sergio for 2 nights in POznan, he turned out to be a great and funny guy, with tonnes of fantastic mp3s to share with me ;) I can't believe how many languages he speaks, maybe it's high time you learned Polish, Sergio ? ;D Hope to see him somewhere and somewhat in the future :)

 

A great guy! I had been talking with Sergio for a few months before I CS'd with him.. What a great guy!!

Very generous, caring and loads of fun!! I don't think I stopped laughing while I was CSing with him.

If I can twist his arm, I'd like to CS with him again when he moves to Sicily.. hehe ;) What do you think Sergio??? ;)

street biker. Actually I saw Sergio first and not his bike, even if the bike is/was the front profile picture. I was really surprised how little luggage he had with him and still so many cool things in there. I'm trying to copy that. ... As he didn't make any pictures in Vienna, I guess I will see him here again and next time I'll show him personally the beautiful sites of my city (and the bike ways).
