To make the entire world feel like my backyard - I will see and experience as many cultures and countries as possible.

ABOUT ME

I traveled on a RTW adventure throughout 2008-2010 and blogged about the countries and experiences at A Little Adrift: Traveling Around the World. I was able to experience dozens of the countries I only dreamed about visiting as a chile and am now looking forward to settling down in Asia somewhere (Thailand and Bali) for about a year to really get more involved in these cultures and some volunteer opportunities in the region.

Previously I lived in Los Angeles but was born and raised in Florida - I both love and hate each of these places for their own reasons so I am looking for a potential place to settle down as well as I travel!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I hosted several CSers while I was still living in LA and then had the opportunity to surf with one of my former surfers in Australia. I've also used CSing along my travels in Eastern Europe and have met so many amazing new friends.

Once I settle into Asia I plan to re-open my couch and give back to the other RTW-ers and backpackers coming through the region :-)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have shared beers with my the people who surfed my couch before I left traveling, then hit the road and saw their own countries through their eyes.

From the dark bitter Turkish coffee sipped through sugar cubes with my CS hosts in Bosnia to the best donuts in all of Slovenia with my hosts, it has been amazing so far and I look forward to connecting with more people all throughout my travels and theirs.

There are soo many good movies out there that to name any is to do an injustice to the dozens other I cannot list here, but these are the ones I have enjoyed recently: Pride and Prejudice, 50 First Dates, The Princess Bride, the Notebook, Little Miss Sunshine...

My music tastes run pretty strange and varied. I was influenced by my older brothers into the classic rock and hard rock music, which I love. But then I also adore Irish music, alternative, and all of the female artists that know how to belt it out like their lives depend on it: Enya, the Beatles, John Lennon, Pink Floyd - music that speaks to the generations. Also, Green Day, Matchbox 20, James Blunt, Indigo Girls, Flogging Molly, Live, Nirvana, Metalica, among so many others.

As for books, I am not even going to begin to go into that here, but I love discussing everything from classic literature to crappy romance novels (my guilty pleasure).

I would really love to learn dozens of languages before I die. I'm on the road now and picking up new phrases and words as I go but plan on settling in for some time so that I can really indulge my fascination with languages :-)

I am a dilettante of sorts, so I have some varied skills but truly master so little. I am passionate about the entertainment industry - from acting to writing to production work and lived in LA for several years before hitting the road.
