We had a short opportunity to meet in Buenos Aires, but it was enough to be longing for more.
And finally, a long time later, we happened to be campmates at Burning Man. A well organised person (at least that's how she comes across) and tries to participate in as many different events and gatherings as possible.
She's taller than most of us, so just look out for the big, bright smile and you won't miss her. :)

 

I met Kerri in NZ in 2007 and had great chats with her about her futur travels. Then a year later we met up again at Grand Canyon CS Hike, Burning Man and Berkeley.

I know that I will see her again at least once a year for a very long time when we all go home!

She is my master chef ! She fed the camp and always had few potatoes for me up her sleeve. Working for Silkkat up in the kitchen was one of the most fun times during the festival. Hope to meet in another time. Serefe !

couchsurfers and burners... couchburners... pretty much my favorite people and kerri is definitely one of those! maybe we will burn again, or surf together... lives cross in weird ways, one never knows...

Met at the brickhouse in van, BC, good chats about the burn and life. A cool chick with a lot going on in her head and a creepy black goose.

 

Silkkat was simply phenomenal at CouchSurfing Camp; she organized and lead the massive Couch Potato Meat-n-Greet for 100's of CSrs on the Playa, and was critical throughout the week in keeping the kitchen clean and organized, the garbage from getting out of control, and stayed for the final two days of camp clean up and load out -- without Silkkat, well I just don't know how we could have done without Silkkat -- Thank you!

Kerri and I have bumped into each other on the net for a lil while now so it was nice to finally meet her in person at Burning Man. She was organiser extradinaire for CS camp it seems AND potatoe chef! Potatoes, potatoes and more potatoes! Well done! Hope to bump into you again. Happy travels =)

Kerri and Stephan were great guests. They were tidy and polite. Kerri even helped me do my dirty dishes! They were cool to hang out with and talk, but also good with finding their way around and keeping themselves entertained. Thanks again for the wine and company. Hope the rest of your trip goes great and they we can meet again one day.

 

Kerri was a fun lady to meet. She has an abundance of CS experiences which she readily shared. She is a seasoned traveler with a wealth of knowledge. Kerri has a super sense of humor. Kerri and Stefan were great guests with a sense of responsibility and generosity, courtesy as well as appreciation. She is the quintessential Couchsurfer.... a Couchsurfer among Couchsurfers. I met her in a lovely party in Quito, I would like to have parties like that one every weekend!!

I met Kerri in a meeting in Salta and the next day we took a short trip to a nearby town. I enjoyed talking to her, a very interesting person, who has travelled a lot and has many experiences to share. She showed a great interest in our local artisans work and bought a few things, which I think she´ll enjoy at home, the wine bottle holder above all :-)

It was great to meet Kerri and hang out on the edge of the jungle in Bolivia, and again in the tiny beach town of Máncora, Peru. She's interesting, funny, and easy going - and a great CS ambassador. I hope to catch up with her again on this trip or back in the States.

Kerri was a lot of fun to hang out with, she has tons of stories about couchsurfing. Anyone would be lucky to host her.

Kerri is a very honest person, who has travelled a lot and know about people, travels, experiences, life. It was my pleasure to met her, even though we were both tired. She loves CS!!! Hope to see you again soon!

Kerri stayed here for two days, and it was fun. We went to a friend's BBQ, where we talked a lot and get to know each other. Then, i invited her to a city tour around Viña and Valparaíso, which she enjoyed a lot! Great couchsurfer, very attentive, nice and interesting, and a great person to talk with! You will definetely have a great time with Kerri!

Beside's Kerri's peculiar behavior while a guest at my house, she was an excellent CSer. She cooked a meal (which was delicious) and even gave me two books.

Strange behavior: True I did bring a fellow CSer over during her second night's stay. However, the noise made was not inappropriate - nothing inappropriate even happened!! If Kerri was so bothered by us talking and giggling then she should have have told us. A simple, "hey guys can you quiet down I'm going to sleep" would have been perfect, but never mentioned. Additionally, she disrespected my neighbors' personal security/privacy by voluntarily sleeping in the hallway. My neighbors are not familiar with the CS project and should not be subjected to finding a complete stranger sleeping in the hallway. This not only horribly offends them, but casts a negative opinion on me as a tenant. As for your opinion of me on CS only to meet women, that is a gross misjudgment and a personal attack at my character. :)

 

She was a great guest! Very nice conversation, a lot of useful tips, definitively a person that anybody would be glad to know.

well i tryed to couch her! but she had problems with the bus in peru, but we met up at nite in a bar ad we had a great chat.. definitly she is a great nomade ambassor !!!! she always bringing the CS WORD! to ppl!! ahahah tnx for ur visit u are a great woman. If she ask for a couch justo say YES!!!

Kerri and Miri surfed our couch on their cross country road trip. Kerri has true CS spirit and it was great to finally meet her after knowing her only as Silky! Hope to see her again someday somewhere in the world. Thanks for the cookies (and the beer), Kerri!

 

Kerri and her friend Miri made my first couch surfing experience a great one. Kerri is very warm and easy to talk to and quickly put me at ease about letting two strangers into my house. She was able to answer my many questions about CS and shared a lot of her stories and experiences with me. I look forward to hosting or surfing with her again wherever that may be. Thanks again Kerri, hope your trip back to Jersey is going well.

 

It was nice to meet Kerri after seeing her posts on I*W* and exchanging some emails. She and her friend Miri stayed one night and although they had a full day of sightseeing and driving they still found time to chat a bit before calling it a night. Maybe next time we'll have some more time to hang out!

I am very thankful to Kerri. She let me couchsurf with her for a week. She had an awesome place with a nice pool, Starbuck's, Barnes & Noble, Pinkberry, Jamba Juice, and the mall across the street! Great to have met her and I had a good time at her place.

 

I met Kerri at a couch surfing dinner event. We then went to a nice bar in Hillcrest, SD. She is a really cool and fantastic person with lots of stories to share. I'd be happy to have her crash on my sofa any time. I'm certain I'd get a full night of interesting conversation from it.

 

We met to go hiking for a day and it was my first CS experience. Kerri made it all worth it by talking to me a lot, telling me her fun travel stories and she was very fun to hangout with.

Kerri was a lovely girl to host... actually my first couch surfer in Monterey to date! She was very sweet and made me a CD with some of her favorite music on it. She was very cool about hanging out with my friends, talkative, polite, just lovely. I hope you have a wonderful trip to South America and continue the awesome job you do on Couch Surfing.

Kerri very warm welcoming person. she made us feel home. we had good time partying at a bar in Hollywood. she have great personality and easy to get along with.

 

We were supposed to meet in SF for SantaCon but didnt work, then we were supposed to go to Universal Studios but didnt work so she drove me around Beverly Hills for a funny paparazzi day, thanks a lot for the nice ride.

 

Kerri is awesome! She had prepared lunch for us (even tho we didn't eat it because we rushed to go to DisneyLand), I got a ride from and to the airport, which I thank her and Julien for! She is a great fun person who knows how to host people, very easy to get along with. oh, and thanks for re-introducing me to NKOTB!! haha! I hope we meet up again either in SF, LA or somewhere else.

Really enthusiastic girl, straight forward, knows what she wants and I definitely appreciate that kind of people.

Kerri was such a fun host to have, even though I didn't get to see that much of her. We drank wine, talked, and watched YouTube videos of Siamese twins! She told me about her really sweet job as a travel nurse working in the NICU. Overall, Kerri is a well-rounded and well-traveled girl with a great personality. She seems like she is not afraid to try new things and will do anything once. I really recommend her for hosting and surfing.

Kerri is soo much fun to hang out with. She has a lot of great stories and she brings good snacks. She is so easy to talk to and she will make you laugh. I am definitely excited to get deeper into couch surfing if I meet more people like her.

 

Kerri is so sweet and full of life! She's makes great conversation and is very comfortable to be around...even if her GPS is kind of creepy.

 

Kerri and I met when I organized a failed event - a meetup at the Long Beach Aquarium for Free Shark Friday. We ended up as two unwilling chauffeurs for some wayyyy-too-drunk CSers.

The Irony?

Turns out Kerri and I are the hard party kids of the SoCal CSers. I don't think she'll out-Vegas my vibe, but she can definitely bring the life to an event.

To top it all off, she's well balanced as a CSer having lots of experience with travel and CS itself - knowledge which she's happy to bestow upon you if you just ask.

We met at the NYC Decompression, she was chit chatting away with Anastasia.We had a time. She introduced me and my boyfriend to the couch surfing project. I'm forever obliged

we had a great time at the cs meeting in the augustiner bräu! but the highlight definitely was on our way home. 4am, dancing through salzburgs most famous street while listening to "the sound of music"... that was hilarious! unfortunately i was really tired the next evening, and so i went to bed quite early, although i would have loved to listen to more of her stories. no matter if it's about her profession, couchsurfing, or just nonsense! :)

Kerri's always up for a laugh, and she has so many stories from all the places that she's been.

Kerri hosted my boyfriend and I for two nights within a week of moving into her new place! She was very nice and accommodating, helping us navigate L.A. when she was just learning things herself. Nature (i.e. wild fires) got in the way of us being able to hang out much, but the little we did talk was pleasant and I hope we get the chance to do it again in the future!

I met Kerri at the CS Pumpkin Picking and had a great time with her. Kerri is very energetic, knowledgeable and full of life! I really like her travel philosophy and stories. Good luck in Cali!

 

Kerri literally lives the CS idea, it was great to host her at my place. She is very open-minded, and we had always sth interesting to talk about.
She has been living at a lot of places and seems to have friends just about everywhere.

I was very lucky to have met the open-minded Kerri on Oktoberfest ;) Luckily we were able to meet again in Dublin and spent our time there like girls should do (food, coffee and fashion, yay!) Apart from being the lovely girl she is, she´s also talkative, honest, dependable and the opposite of slow and boring. Every minute I spent with her was fun and I´d really love to travel together with her again sometime. Of course you´re always welcome on my couch in Dublin, dear :)

 

Met Silk 1st on chat but we never talked to much. She is friends with Ashley so i heard more about her. Kerri is a 100% dedicated Couchsurfer! Met her for the 1st time 1 night in Hamburg. 1 week after, I hosted Kerri 1 night in Berlin. We met some chat friends in a bar. Kerri and me, though havent talked much before on chat, connected fast! Next morning we flew to Dublin to the CS chatter meeting. Hang around most of the 4 days. Good times. Kerri is fun, she is openminded, you can talk to her about serious, private, funny and even spicy topics. Well it is more likely that she just starts those topics hahaha. Silkkat is a chatty, funny girl who I had spoken to in chat before and then met in real-life in Dublin for the chat addicts meeting. I had a lot of laughs dancing, chatting and sharing anecdotes with her!! I liked the way she got everyone involved by playing a game where you guess what people do 'in the real world'. We all know more about each other for this. I hope to see her again in the future! Ciao! :)

Kerri is really friendly and easy to get along with we got on straightaway. I like to make really cheesey jokes and she laughs at them! Yeah hopefully we will meet again - come to the UK again soon! Also Vegans beware some of her stories might not be for you!

We met during the oktoberfest meeting and had some great talks about her couchsurfing experiences. She can drink a lot of german beer and always makes fun about the size of the cologne beer glasses.

It was great to the spend the time with Kerri at the fest, looking for a place in a tent, standing on the benches. She came in a typical bavarian Dirndl (dress) which I appreciate a lot. Take it easy, Kerri.

I had the chance to meet her quite randomly during a local meeting in Den Haag. I have to say she's awesome! Great personality, very outgoing and interesting to talk too! It was really fun (although the way back was very tiring lol). I wish we had more time to spend together though! Hopefully we will, it's a small world after all!

Silkkat and I originally met at Burningman 2008! What a rare and personable person! We found out through our many conversations through email to have many similarities in some events of our both of our lives separately together, LOL. Same places, same adventures, but we were like ships passing in the night. We were closer to each other than we new, LOL, and am now closer than we were when we first met for our experiences shared.
I have to say she is awesome, loves to travel like me, and that we both had our adventures over the years together in mind, and spirit and only separated by time and body. LOL. I'm guessing we will have adventures together sometime in the future if we can ever be at the same place at the same time!? When that will become a reality is beyond my control, and will only be aligned by the stars it seems. Love, and miss ya!

 

This girl seems always up for a good time. Fun to party with, and hang out. And she knows some of that important helpful medical stuff too...if you're 1 ft tall and weigh 1-2 pounds.

Kerri is a really generous, happy girl. She is caring and definitely knows how to have a good time. I hope we'll get to spend more time partying on the playa next year :)

 

Kerri is way to much fun. Which suits me well. :) Our adventure started in the chat room and kicked off in Reno, where she appeared like magic through the door. We then proceeded to Burning Man and a week long adventure that I won't ever be forgetting. All the while we laughed, talked, drank and partied our way into a close friendship. You know when you meet someone and you know your going to still be having fun with them in years to come. Kerri is like that. A star. This adventure is not over either expect this to get updated every couple of months when our paths cross.

Kerri is WONDERFUL... super down-to-earth, friendly, open, kind, funny, organized, adventurous and all around amazing. What really strikes me about her is how much she does, sees, travels, participates... and all in this low key way that just gets it done, without fanfare, which really underscores what a solid, kick ass human being she is.

I immediately noticed Kerri is a wicked seasoned surfer. I've had many wonderful, thoughtful and respectful guests but she just takes it to a whole new level. I totally trusted her to stay at my place while I went away for a few days. She has endless entertaining CS stories and is super fun to be around too! Kerri and I spent 9 days driving from Cali to Philly and it completely blew all my expectations out of the water. America is a beautiful place sure but we also had great conversations, met amazing couchsurfers, and we got up early every morning to get on the road yet we still found time to party, Houston, New Orleans (pronounced Nawlins), Alexandria...

Through it all I got a better understanding a friend I've known for a while, passionate about couchsurfing, willing to go the extra mile for friends and always helpful to anyone who needs it. Able to adapt to new situations and not panic in a crisis. Kerri is a great embodiment of the couchsurfing way.

Kerri rocks! She is very easy to talk to and very easy going, and she knows how to have a great time in Philly. Let's hang out again uber-soon!

I must admit, I've been from the Philadelphia are my entire life, and I never had such a crazy night as I did with Kerri. Very fun to hang out with and equally as talkative (which is rare!) Extremely generous and all around nice person. I owe you some drinks!

 

We met during a trip to Havasu falls but didn't get a chance to talk to her. However, I met her in New York, we had a lot of fun eventhough it was pouring... She is just amazing, she definitely knows how to enjoy life to the fullest.

 

Kerri is soooo fun to be around with. Straight up no BS make me want to hug her with no reason. She parties just like there is no tomorrow - in a very good way. I hope to see her soon and hang out more. wait, I will see you tomorrow!

Kerri and I had a wonderful Wednesday night which started with a CS meeting (one of the many that she plans) and ended with a few drunken games of pool at Johnny Brenda's and me spontaneously crashing on her insanely comfy couch. Kerri is generous, outgoing, and a model couchsurfer! I can't wait to see her in Philly again.

 

One of the most active CS I've ever met. She is always happy and comes up with new ideas. She organizes meetings and gets people together. Kerry is really wonderful person. I am glad she moved to Philly; we need her active spirit in this "?" city.

Had so much fun with Kerri whether it was dancing with Tarzan at a bar in Brooklyn, the Lower East Side or with our British counterparts at the telectroscope in Brooklyn. Kerri's a great/crazy girl and you'll always have a good time when she's around!

 

Kerri made Philadelphia a better place with her planning of the NYC invasion. A minute didn't go by when we did not have something to do. She was also a great host to four of us and let us try some of her "dirty vodka". Thanks!

Kerri was an amazing host. Our accommodations in her home were great. Plus she was a great guide to the city. From the Mutter museum, Philly cheese steaks, bar hopping on South Street, and much more. It was Kerri who made the invasion a success. I look forward to seeing her again at Revival.

 

Kerri spent the night with me and in order to avoid issues with my roommate I asked if it was ok if we slept together on my futon as we were already friends at this point. We went to bed around 1am and I woke the next morning and went to work. I honestly don't remember much of the details as it seemed like an uneventful night. Kerri emailed me around 6 months later and I fully apologize for anything that I did while sleeping/half asleep. As I do not remember my actions I can only speak to my intentions and say that I in no way indented to trick her or take advantage of the situation.

 

Kerri is welcoming, friendly, accommodating and a great host & guide. She hosted me & my friends on our Philly invasion and showed us around. I had great time touring the city, checking out mutter museum and bar hopping.

After encountering each other in the CS-chat a few times, I finally met Kerri in Philly when the New Yorkers invaded us. I enjoyed our conversations at Eulogy and I'm sure we'll meet again..

She really made the invasion happen. recommended bars, mueseums, restaurants, etc. She was really helpful in setting up the invasion and making sure everybody had a great time.

Kerri's just awesome. She volunteers as a CS ambassador (and even parades around in her CouchSurfing T-shirt). She's friendly, social, and very interesting! Wonderful little niece and nephew too. I will look forward to seeing her often in future CS events.

 

Kerri is a very interesting and friendly person and offered a lot of Couchsurfing information. She was a lot of fun and great to chat with about her travel and Couchsurfing experiences. I hope to see her at more CS events, and/or host her one day!

Kerri and her new man Tarzan are the talk of CS, even though it is not a "dating website" -- their relationship is one based on mutual fun and trust. He was very trusting there at the Grand Canyon, hanging by only one hand! Kerri is too fun and I had a blast with her! I hope we cross paths again!!!

We chatted, almost, under a hamock and played Uno. We actually had a mutal friend. Good times.

 

Kerri was such a great person to have on this trip and brought a lot of CS experiance to the group. I had her stay with a new surfer and she made a great impression there too. she joined us after the Havasu Falls trip and kept us all laughing. Great person to travel with and I am sure I will be meeting up with her in the future

Kerri is fun and funny too! Well rounded--from hikes in nature, to tequila shots in the big city, we had lots of fun at the grand canyon together.

I first met Kerri during a Phoenix CSers Groups....10 mile hike into the Grand Canyon...Havasupai Falls. She's a very friendly, outgoing chick!! Moani and I then met up with her for Drinks in Philly with a few other CSers! Great time and can't wait to see her again! Good luck in Cali!!

 

Kerri was my first couchsurfer and I couldn't have asked for a better one! She's a sweetheart - lots of fun & very easy going. I had a wonderful first time couch hosting experience and she and I had a blast with the rest of the group at Havasupai Falls.

such a sweet gal and doing such a wonderful job in the world! Got to meet Kerri in chat, then when she came with the Phx group for a havasupai hike. Now, in Nov. I was honored to be asked to host her and her Mom Patrice. It was great to actually get to spernd some one on one time with her and her mom and I am so glad she will be living close by...I am sure we will become great friends!! I hope to have many more meetups with her now she is living in the west!

 

Kerri is a lot of fun and knows how to get in to the party spirit. She had loads of energy, was funny, easy to talk to and genuinely happy to meet new people. She represented New Jersey in fine style at the New York invasion of Boston.

Update April 17, 2008: I have now met Kerri in a number of locations in this great country. I've had the pleasure of being hosted by her in San Francisco and hosting her in New York City. I've come to think of her as a very good friend and would welcome her where ever I am staying and know she feels the same way. I hope you get the opportunity to meet this great Couch Surfer...

Kerri was a great surfer. She was open and friendly, it was a bit unfortunate that I could not show her around more because our schedules did not conflict. But she had many funny tales and was pretty game to try the things that I did suggest.

I met Kerri at a couple meetups around SF, including a great hike through Muir Woods and a food meetup afterwards, and was struck by her energy and honesty. She's super passionate about CouchSurfing and helping it grow, and seems to take great consideration of her guests/surfers, linking them in to what's going on locally even if she can't make it herself. She's one of those people who tells it like it is, and I hear she's quite the partier, though I've yet gotta witness this for myself!
Belated Update: I got the opportunity to host Kerri up in Tahoe and all my impressions about her as an active and considerate CSer were reinforced. She was a great guest, interactive yet independent, and super considerate, bringing gifts and cooking a wonderful dinner. I only wish I could've made her a better pizza but there's always next time.. :)

Kerri crashed with us @Backpax for a few nights.. and her ever-involved Couchsurfing presence (complete with T-Shirt!) catalyzed a fabulous CS meetup. Kerri is great. I don't need to say it again.. her numerous friends and fans have already said it all!

 

It's an honor hosting a Couchsurfer of Kerri's caliber. She's extremely active in the CS scene in multiple cities and strives to make CS better on a daily basis. Because we have a number of friends in common, it was very easy to talk to her. Whether it was barhopping in Nanluoguxiang and Sanlitun or watching Bancarotta and the Beijing Improv, Kerri proved to be excellent company.

Kerri is super involved in Couch Surfing, and with me still being new to the community, I found her SO helpful and insightful. She's been everywhere, has great stories, and was so grateful for us hosting her. I really enjoyed getting to know her while she was here, and hope that we'll be able to meet again in the future. I still say go with the iphone. ;o)

She's super rad! We only hung out for a couple hours, but she was my buddy on the Great Wall, and everybody needs a buddy. She is good for a good time, I can't wait to see her again!

I met Kerri at a CS dinner in Xi'an. I'm thankful to her for encouraging the Xi'an CSers to get together when she was here, and to try to get together regularly. She is a great example for new and old Couchsurfers!

Thanks for coming in Kerri. You were a breeze to host and very genuine. Too bad we didn't get more time to go out together!! Maybe next time...

 

Kerry is one of those CS people who hold the *essence* of it. Loved the way she's doing her travel / contract work / travel lifestyle... :) Hopefully will cross paths with her again somewhere in the US on a road trip, or somewhere else in the World...

 

She is very friendly and interesting traveller, she presented us nice green accessories for Irish parade so we all became a little Irish :) She was one of the couchsurfers I met at first and I understand a lot, I hope some day we'll met somewhere else :)

I was overwhelmed with Kerri's trust and friendliness towards a stranger. I had some problems with my flight and arrived to SF in the middle of the night but still felt warmly welcomed. Also she had other plans but was kind enough to let me stay at her place. Her lovely personality and friendliness really made my trip a very special one.

 

I am very grateful to Kerri that was she willing to host me on nights when she was working the night shift. As limited as our time spent together was, seemed like conversation flowed real easy, about a million and one different things...

“Closed!??!!” Haha!! This was the very first thing I read when I arrived in San Francisco. No, not the city… just the Museum of Modern Art which I had left the previous town very early in the morning to get to. And THERE came Kerri…. Laughing as she walked up the street to meet me. Needless to say, I think “Ooops” were the first words out of her mouth =)

I TOTALLY can’t hold that against her though, as she was such an awesome person to meet and share stories with on various occasions while I was in the Bay area. Not to mention that the very LAST day in town, she again got up early in the morning and met me at SFMOMA again with Tickets to one of the Sweetest galleries I have ever been to!! ...AND, a traveling Partner for Duck!!! =D They got along like peas and carrots by the way (pictures forthcoming =-)

Kerri personifies what CouchSurfing is about!! Totally ready to help anyone at anytime! Ready for a random Adventures at the drop of a wide-brimmed, felt, Mad-hatters Top-hat!! ;-) Bringing people from all areas and walks of life together for Fun and Lifetime Memories!!

Kerri host me in her apt in SOMA for 3 days, it was such a good time staying in her place. She's very easygoing and cool!!

 

Kerri is a hoot. A real couch surfing junkie. After working grueling 12 hour shifts at the hospital she chooses to drive cross county and couch surf. It was fun hosting her in Salt Lake and educating her about Jesus Jammies. She's a great conversationalist. She's welcome at ScottLand anytime.

 

Kerri stayed with me for a night on her way to Utah . . . we were both pretty exhausted, but we had some great conversation and a great breakfast at Peg's in the morning!

 

Keri is spontaneous and a really good party host. She held a gathering at her house that turned into a crazy night out on the town. Looking forward to meeting her again!

 

Kerri joined our merry band of pirates for a booze cruise and party at the annual gathering of the brethren of the coast. Arrg! Good times with lots of rum!

I attended a CS meeting Kerri organized at her place in San Francisco to celebrate Australia Day Kerri was a wonderful host, just amazing! We also had a lot of fun at our after-party in the Castro. Kerri is a great hostess, having a party at her apartment for Couchsurfers after only a month in San Francisco! She is quite knowledgeable about Australia. She cares a lot about her fellow human beings down to the tiniest ones (besides couchsurfers, Kerri also cares for premature babies).

What a fun person. Kerri hosted the first CS party I've attended in San Francisco. I was new to the area, and didn't know too many people around here, but now I feel like I have a whole new bunch of friends.

The party was great, Kerri is a great host, and so very friendly. Yeah, she talks non-stop, and I can't keep up, but she has a lot of interesting things to talk about.

I went to an Australia Day party she hosted for couch surfers. Kerri is very welcoming and inviting. She cooked for a whole bunch of people. If I didn't already live in the Bay Area I would totally couch surf at her apt.

Kerri was great fun and an extremely good host. She made us feel very at home and went out of her way to show us some of the sites of San Francisco, like taking us down Lombard street! It was lovely to meet such a fun and interesting person. Thank you Kerri!

Kerri was an awesome host! She picked us up from our hostel which was really appreciated then took us out to meet friends (we had a great time but had to go home early cos we were so tired!!)
Kerri told us lots of cool things to do and places to go and even though she was working nights she was a great host to us and even cooked us breakfast one morning. The night we left she cooked us all a lovely meal which I will have to steal the recipe for and took us to the station! I hope we will meet again sometime! thanks!

 

There are so many ways in which I admire Kerri... This woman has a great attitude towards life and people, and she has a heart of gold. I was there when she stayed at home all day, waiting for two CSers who never showed up. She was very worried and made any possible effort to get in touch with them. She would never refuse to help stranded travellers. She embodies the spirit of couchsurfing: she's independent, yet caring; nomadic, yet very reliable; free as a bird, yet deeply involved in a global net of beautiful friendships. In taking me as her guest, she also helped me in every possible way and got me in touch with the vibrant SF couchsurfing scene. Oh, did I mention that she has a great sense of humour?

I'm so happy that we met and, in just a few days, she has become a friend. I'm so looking forward to our road trip to the Redwood Forest! I just hope we won't quarrel over who's gonna be Thelma and who gets to be Louise... ;-)

UPDATED ON 01/18: I'm back from the Redwoods, and all I can say is that my short trip with Kerri has been awesome. We've seen spectacular landscapes, met great people, shared some good laughs, taken tons of pictures, hugged enormous sequoias! And all this because she involved me in her restless love for fun, adventure, friendship and travel!
She even drove me back to Berkeley because I needed help with my hideously cumbersome, heavy luggage.
Kerri's a gift to the Couchsurfing community, and I encourage everyone to surf her couch, host or at least try to meet this outstanding Couchsurfing legend!

Kerri is a very sensitive, service oriented human being and makes it her life's work to contribute to others, create community and establish deep and enduring relationships based on mutual consideration. She embodies the coushsurfing spirit and I learned much of the inner workings of CS from her.

It was great to find Kerri's couch so easily and we were absolutely fascinated by her abilities to bring people, jobs and continents together.

 

Kerri gave me a ride to the Muir woods hike for my first CS group meet. She is a genuinely honest and friendly person. Very generous with her time and happy to meet, greet, and host one and all! I hope to see her more while she is in SF.

 

Kerri and I FINALLY met after just missing one another at different places. She is just as warm and open and comfortable with herself as I expected. I would think anyone would be lucky to surf or host her, and I know we'll meet up again while she's here.

It was so exciting finally having Kerri as a guest! Igby gave her 2 paws up (her shirt!) and he's not one to give hugs out to strangers. I really look forward to her coming back down to visit again so I can actually show her around town. In the meantime I will be taking up a space on her couch sometime in the near future!

Kerri is also an incredible host! She has a freakin Sealy blow up bed! Super comfy! Not to mention sneaking out to the grocery early in the AM to pick up breakfast foods and bringing back my favorite turkey sausage, yay! She is definitely the hostess with the mostest :)

Kerri was a lot of fun, I'm sure she'd be a great host. Don't get her started on rude bartenders though, you'll open pandora's box! :) She's welcome on my couch any time.

Kerri is so generous and commited to couch surfing and to everyone she meets as a host. I hope to be able to one day repay the lovely treatment I received when I stayed with her in San Francisco. Kerri, an outrageously fun and outstandingly friendly traveling nurse is, I have learned, a rather popular individual among the throngs of couchsurfers. At the party we attended together on NYE, she knew on a first-name, big bear hug basis one in every five people. Impressive. Though I have not couchsurfed at her place, it seems like quite a comfortable thing to do, as she is entirely hospitable and provides a multitude of blankets along with a big purple air mattress. Overall, I would highly recommend spending some time with her!

Kerri made me feel very welcome in San Francisco. I surfed her couch for a couple of nights over Chrismas 2007. She took great care that I´d feel comfortable in her house and that I always had a full wine glass. Also, she is a little "crazy". Just cannot say "no" to any CS request (including mine). So be sure that you´ll never be the only one staying at her place at a time. But I assure you: it´s fun. THANK YOU, Kerri!

 

I met Kerri at her house warming party when she moved here. We are only a few blocks away from each other.

She likes to party and go to couch surfing events. We met again at the Zeitgeist CS party yesterday.

 

Attended her housewarming party and up again at the Zeitgeist CS event - Dec 28th, 2007 - Spend a good amount of time talking to her and playing pool in her company... All around life of the party and definitely not afraid to tell the bouncers what she thinks [in a good way]. I'm sure I will see plenty more of Kerri over the next many months at CS events...

 

Kerri and I have become friends together in New York, and actually got to know each other through our mutual friend Janna, whom is my friend from high school, and her friend via CS Chat. They like to make fun of me and my iphone, and through it, we've became friends and I've tricked Keri numerous times, including making her believe that I was actually in Antarctica :-)

Kerri is great fun. I met up with her on my last night in San Francisco. She had just moved there so we went out with another Cser on the town exploring. Many a laugh was had...especially with the big spider photo shoot.

Yay! San Francisco is an even better place now that Kerri is here! I got to see her again at her very fun Housewarming party and enjoyed the group of CSers that I met there last night. I'm looking forward to getting to know her better while she's here!

Well, I was in NYC and somehow I realized that I haven't found a place to stay in S.F. so far. Well, I searched and emailed with Keeri, who immediately replied too me. After arriving I went with her and Clair out for dinner and some beers. What better start in S.F. can you think of? So if you are going to S.F. you should definitely meet up with Keeri!

 

Kerri and I found each other in chat after making fun of Nicky and his iPhone from opposite coasts! We chatted for a few months, and had one crazy night in San Diego. Our evening included a country gay bar, paying a cover to get into a dry dance club, and driving around San Diego searching for booze only to discover there was none! She had better visit me again soon!! Go aztecs ;)

Kerri is wicked. She has a great attitude on life and is a great CSer and belongs in this community. The few brief times I have spend with her she was a real good laugh. But the only thing she needs to remember is that in London the pubs close at 11pm, don't forget mate. I know its hard when coming from NY and everything closes at like 4am. Keri is a very kind and open hearted girl. Although I was not in the best mood that days, we had a very nice time, the first night relaxing and drinking in my place thinking about new CS projects, and the second day drinking outside :)
Keri trully represents the CS spirit, she is a must for those who want to surf with her.

I met Kerri in Brussels when she was travelling in Belgium. When I went to NY a while later, we met again. She is a very interesting, caring, open minded and fun loving person. I hope to see her again soon.

I had a great time surfing kerri's couch for all the CS Halloween festivities. This girl can definitely party a lot harder than me....which is quite impressive :) Definitely meet up with her if you're passing through her area.

 

Like me, Kerri is talkative. Yet we always manage to strike a balance where no one is dominating the conversation. I enjoy listening to Kerri because her stories are always interesting in a seasoned, unjaded, guilty pleasure kinda way. I know that sounds weird, but if you get to know her you'll see what I mean. She is open-minded and seems to have a decent grasp of what she wants out of life along with the brazenness to attain it. Lots of titillating travel anecdotes as well. We'll hang again, f'shizz.
******Update****Well we did hang again on numerous occasions and I have to say that Kerri is simply wonderful company. I still admire her wanderlust and all the sordid stories it brings about. She has surfed my place a few times and is always welcome to return. I've surfed with her as well, and returned home with fantastic memories. Time spent with my friend Kerri is never dull. She is definitely among the greatest relationshps I've forged through CS. Love ya, babe!

Kerri is way fun! We met at various CS parties, one of them being the famous Syndey Mardi Gras! We shared debaucherous moments and bonded over Boy George (not forgetting the famous Susanna). This girl is highly recommended for anyone who is interested in a wicked time! Hoping our paths will cross again.

Update: And so our paths did cross again, we partied a bit more in london, then we hosted kerri on her london trip, she is generous and filled our place with chocolate, took us out to see Paul Oakenfold, unfortunately we were too ill to actually see the guy. No doubt we'll see kerri again.

Kerri and I met online first, then in Sydney, and then I hosted her in London. She's absolutely crazy and a fantastic person to host. She is generous, always courteous, makes you laugh and **washes up after herself**. We partied every night she was here and she even treated us to a very special night with Paul Oakenfold. Unfortunately I was too sick to lose myself in it, but there's where Kerri is so good to host - she makes her own fun and doesn't rely on other people to make sure she's ok. I highly recommend Kerri to any potential host, but I warn that it won't be a quiet experience.

We got together at the philly CS meet and ended up surfing her car while waking up surrounded by a few inches of snow. A few days later we travelled in and from Rhode Island to Philadelphia and I crashed her sisters' couch overthere. Thank you!

Kerri finally ended up surfing my couch in Brussels! She's too cool to hang out with and I'm constantly learning new things watching her be the fine CS addict she is ;-)

We met through other CSs at a Pirate Party! Too much rum punch, but good times!!

 

I visited her pool party in New York (actually across the Hudson in Weehawken, which for a tourist is still New York, but not for New Yorkers, so I have to mention this), and it was big fun. On my second visit to New York (the real one) we met again for hanging around in Bryant Park, Manhattan. She´s fun to be with, talks non-stop and likes Toystores (the ones for children, I mean) and Rum with diet coke.
Now, a year later, she came visiting me in Germany and I showed her the normal tourist stuff. I think she liked it though. :)

I hosted Kerri for two nights and she was just great, very friendly, easy going and always positive. She has a lot of great stories to tell, and is a true couchsurfer. She came with wine and dark chocolate and in my book that is how friendship begins. :)
Kerri is very neat, when I came back to my apartment it was as if she never even surfed.

Some people go further than is asked for. This extra mile was two or three miles in the case of Kerri. She's a good person.

Kerri is a very fun loving person and an excellent host. Where ever work takes her she does everything she can for the CS community.

 

After being in touch with Kerri for a while, I finally got to host her bags (!!) for 1 night...hehe. We did get to hang out for a while and have a few really interesting conversations, but we both had different plans for the evening and didn't meet again till the following afternoon when she had to collect her bags and head for the airport. Such a shame we didn’t have more time to chill and hang out as Kerri is full of great stories and knowledge. I hope our paths cross again in the future!

 

I've hung out with Kerri so many times and it's no dull moment everytime. She exudes with great CS spirit - friendly, kind, helpful and very accommodating. She will make you feel welcome and at home if you're a CS newbie. Looking forward to hang out more with her. She's truly an ambassador ;-)

 

Kerri is quite energetic, full of entertaining stories, and she knows how to pick interesting restaurants ;)

 

kerri stayed on my couch in stockholm for four days and proved to be a very independent person, which was good since i didn't have so much time to spend with her. she was great to have around, though, and interacted well with my flatmate aswell as my other couchsurfer. welcome back any time!

Lately I dont talk so much, so first hand to tell stories I gave Kerri :) My english is not as good as I wish I had really good chance training my ears to listen fluent american :) Kerri is really open-mined person. I felt comfortable to talk with her about many topics. Kerri has her own style of humor, not everybody could catch an idea. :)) Especially french guys didnt get you :)) heheh Anyway I felt so good inside when we helped french guys as much as we could :) Hopefully they went fine :) .. and Im sorry I didnt arrive in your birthday party, chinese food killed me even next day.Im sure I dont want to see any chinese next couple months :D Kerri, I enjoyed to spend time togeather with you.I really hope someday my travels gonna bring me to the US and we will enjoy real dance floors :)) Take care! It's been a year and a half since I met Kerri and I just now realized I never actually left her a reference. The first day I met her we shared a taxi from central park to my house for an impromptu party and spoke like old friends. Gradually I grew to know her as the crazy, entertaining, and ultimately caring individual that she is. I'm certain that we'll have many more ridiculous experiences in the years to come.

Oh and ask her about my rooftop ;-)

Kerri and I met on a CS weekend trip to Boston, where we surfed with the same host and spent much of the time wandering around the city together. I enjoyed getting to know her and hearing her travel stories!

 

We had a great time walking around in Central Park. Tough she was the local, she was way more touristy than I was :) She is a couchsurfer by conviction and one of the most nomadic people i've ever met.

 

Kerri is a very active and enthusiastic CSer. She organized a Philly meet up days before she left the city. She's all over the place introducing people to the group and even convinced me and another surfer to come for a 3 AM pool dip with her way in NJ. Always happy to hang out and chat with you.

 

Set up the Philly picnic and knows the ins and outs of CS. Great ideas and actions.

I had so much fun with this girl, her neighbours are great, her hospitality is superb, we shared wine, endless margaritas and lamb kababs....hooka piped with friends and crawled home at 4am for a quick dip in the pool before heading to the couch...

Kerri got me more interested in traveling and got me on this site. We've been friends for years! She has crashed on my sofa before, but I don't remember when. Like '03? '04?

 

Kerri offered me a ride to Philadephia before I could even imagine to ask it, when we went there for a CS meeting she had organized. She was very kind doing this, and it explains the sense of hopitality she has.

After the picnic some of us went for cheese steaks, and met up with the rest later at Silk City.
Kerri is a nice cheerful person to be around!

I met Kerri at a CS meeting in NYC and we drank and laughed together and talked about her trip to Sweden. She is a nice person and I'm looking foward to the next time we'll meet up.

One year later she visited us at Munich, Octoberfest-time! It was so great to see her again! I really enjoyed spending the time with her.

a superb host- she gave up her bed for us, cooked us breakfast, took us out, really talkative - which i love- generally just a really fun, positive person to be around.

Kerri's awesome! We hung out only a few times while she was here surfing in SF... she had this great rainbow CouchSurfing flag that all the CS'ers were signing. She definately know how to rally the troops! She's got the CouchSurfing spirit! :)

 

I had the privilege to meet Kerri for the first time through a Pre-Pride outing she organized when coming to San Francisco. I ran into her again, a second time for a CS get-together at Dolores Park before the Dyke March, and a third time for drinks with a group of CSers the night before she left to go home to NJ. She is awesome. She has a warmth, authenticity, openness, excitement, and magnetism that set her apart in any crowd. A few things about her which stuck out for me, for the short time I have known her is: 1) the several open invitations to all interested for meet and greet with her actual cell number posted on the San Francisco group page, 2) the rainbow flag she toted around with her everywhere, eagerly recruiting signatures from any and all CSers and a few non-CSers, and 3) her admission in the last conversation I've had with her, that because of her job as a neo-natal nurse she couldn't see herself giving birth to her own child when there are so many children that need love and a home that are already born (I have often thought that, and feel the same way). It was a pleasure spending time with her and I hope our paths will cross multiple times again in the future. Suffice to say, because of the wonderful impression she has left on me, I would gladly host her or surf with her anytime.

 

I met Kerrie at TTT's place and we spend two great days out in san francisco. We've done a lot of childish science experiments and forgot to tip the waitress at a restaurant so we had to go the whole damn hill up again. Kerrie tuned up my stay from very good to perfect. We had an awesome time in SanFran. She can crush my couch anytime.

 

Oh my fellow free bird and ambassador! i am so glad we were able to meet for an early dinner since i hardly got to talk to her at the picnic. She got to write HAPPY PRIDE DAY on my arm too! thanks for making that cool flag! come back anytime!

 

It was a plaisure to spend two days with Kerry in San francisco. We first met in a bar where she had called a CS pre-pride party... and spend the two next days together worning-out our shoes all around the city! Hope to see her again. You never get bored with this Jersey girl!

 

Among all the chaos in San Fran--booming music and hoards of post-dyke-marchers, I spotted Kerri with her rainbow flag, drinks and CSers... She is very outgoing and personable--my non-CS friends agree.
I cannot wait to meet again once I make it to Boston.

We spent a great weekend with the cousufing meetings! a wonderful evening and a great night - And for my very first weekend in NY, Kerri was a great fellow and tireless, guiding me in the NY streets, night and day! I will never forget that good time!

I met Kerri at the Riverside Park Barbecue in the middle of June. She was one of the center pieces of the party, keeping everyone in good spirits, and after it seemed to wind down, she took us all on a trek downtown to get a few more hours of (very hot) dancing in.

how could you not love someone that gave up her bed for us, pointed & laughed instead of helping when my dress flew up over my head, debates over Siamese twin pigtails & finds the prospect of me accidentally burning down her mother's house funny!!???

Kerri is the energizer bunny of every party. She is totally in love with CS and its cause and does her best to promote it. We had a great time for two days. I loved our trip to the UN. actually, CS is kind of a modern UN, isn't it? We walked around with Nuno for a bit, and then took the guided tour. I enjoyed spending time with her, and hopefully i'll meet her again!

Kerri is freakin' awesome. I'm sad that she had to return to NJ, the armpit of America. She is so much fun and so full of energy- always ready to meet new people and to paaaarty. Look forward to spending a lot more time with her at future meetups. And I am also looking forward to our "special" party. You know what I'm talkin' bout, Kerri...

I first really chatted with kerri at the second part of the wonderful marathon meet up in nyc. Immediately, i realized that this girl is crucial for a good time: she has a wild streak- oh sky diving champion!; a relaxed,friendly,open,and cheerful spirit- and i simply can't wait for her to move here! yay!!!

 

Kerri was a great guest (even though her stuff was at my apartment more than she was), but we also spent some terrific time together at two great CS gatherings, one in Central Park and one in Riverside Park, and had a great breakfast at our local Cuban diner when she first arrived. I look forward to more time together when she's living closer to the Big A.

Kerri is one kick ass girl! So fun to be around, very friendly to everyone, and open and exciting, and all the good stuff! It was great meeting you and hanging out, passing out, eating hot dogs, and drinking some tasty box wine ;) Kerri rocks, and I highly recommend her for anything you might want her for (no, I swear not in a dirty way!!)

a little more than a year after we have partied in NYC together in 07, kerry overcame austria and it was simple pleasure to host her, she was there on this one crazy day when extremly positive vibrations got me flipping.

I would definitely say after spending time with Kerri that she is trustworthy and extremely kind. It is a gift to meet a person who shares of themself with such openness. It would be an honor to either host or surf with Kerri in the future.

 

She doesn't even live in the city and still put together a great gathering for Philly area CSers. She works hard to promote the site (is trying to get a story in the Daily News) and also has some great stories!

Had a great time with Kerri, we got talking while watching the original King Kong in a park in Nelson, followed it with an evening of irish dancing, getting lost on the way back to the car, and I'm looking forward to seeing her again at mardi gras. Kerri is great! We used to hang out quite a bit back in the day before we both started travelling so much with work. I learned about couchsurfing from her and have had a total blast with the site ever since!

Kerri is an awesome person to host! While I was making lunch she saved my washing from the thunderstorm just in time - and not only that she washed the dishes after lunch AND left us a kangaroo mug before going back home. She's also easy to get along with, well travelled, interesting to talk to and generally a nice, open-minded and decent person. We were sad to see Kerri go, there is definitely something missing from our house now! She arrived a couch surfer and left as a friend. I would reccomend her to others and I really, really hope we get to catch up in Europe mid to late this year.

She helped organize the first Philly CS gathering. We had a great time talking about CS experiences and making plans for our next round of travels! She's been around the world and her job is all about travelling. Hang with her and have fun!

We finally met and had a tonns of fun doing Sydney Mardis Gras together! Kerri's cool, kind, fun, generous - great to hang out with - look forward to the next time.. somewhere out there! (ps - if you need anything out of kerri ... i know one of her secrets.. )

Kerri is a great girl and even though we just had one day to get to know each other, the fact that she looks exactly like one of my best friends made me feel like I've known her for years! And besides that she is damn brave: fighting with kangaroos, battling with crocodiles and doing mind-tricks on echidnas! ;) And I really do hope to see her again!

We had a fun time in a DC hookah bar. CS group meetings are definitely a good idea! I'm looking forward to going back to Washington DC, so perhaps we can hang out more next time!

 

Well she posted in one of the groups that she was in auckland and wanted to go out for a drink, So we did and What fun we had shes good value and Great fun, Oh yes and trying to set the bar on fire was a great laugh :)

 

Kerri has great stories & a warm heart - we did quite a bit of bonding over the piercings, family dynamic conversations, & growing up in the Garden State (ahem: "Down The Shore"). I wish she had been able to stay longer!

Kerri visited the CSC in Nelson, NZ, and it was great to have her stay for slightly longer than she had planned on. She was very helpful in the kitchen and good to chat with. I wish her the best in future travels and CouchSurfing!

Kerri hosted me in Washington, and we went to CS meeting together. We also enjoyed nice restaurants and visit of Georgetown in DC. This was a very good experience.

Kerri was a very generous host. She was my first experience with couchsurfing, and it made me want to have more!

 

Despite both our busy schedules, we finally found a time to meet in person and had a fabulous time sharing travel stories over dinner. Good times! She's got a great sense of adventure and knows all about the *right* way to ride a rollercoaster. ;) I hope we get to hang out some more before she's off on her next adventure.
