Strange feeling that im one in the "milion" couchsurfers which used his hospitality:))) Its real mission to be unique and add something new about him . Everybody writes he's crazy, spontanous and full of energy but if somebody knows he's daltonist, road hog and kidding master??? I fought I have no stress life-style and optimistic philisophy but he's incomparable better! And he listens the best music I've ever heard /at least till today:)/.

Simone possess many positive features and he is an ideal host for the most.. relaxed of surfers (who are not afraid of flying snakes) ;) Simone is intelligent, open-minded, with a great sense of humor person ;> He was a gracious host with impressive knowledge.. who has 'pretty' collection of DVD concerts ;)

Simply brilliant. Simone is funny, intelligent, really positive and always avaible. I'm new of CS and he's an ambassador,so I ask him every doubts and he's got always the right answers; He's so confident that I consider him my elder bro.

Simone is the perfect representative of the couchsurfing philosophy. He respects his guests and puts them at ease, he tries to be a lovely gentleman (and most of the times he succeeds in his aim...ihihi ;)) ), can be an extremely funny friend to spend a night with.
Don't trust when he says he's thirtysomething...he's so young inside that I think he will never grow old in his mentality(obviously I say it in a positive sense..it doesn't mean he's not a wise guy!)
It will be delightful for everybody to be his friend or guest or host ;)

Thanks to that kind of people idea of CS is developing all over the world! U can not be bored with that Man! Really nice music taste and pretty good voice (especially at 8 in the morning:D) was unforgetable days in Bari. Waiting for him in Poland:))

 

I had a great time with Simone and his cousın. They were super friendly with all hıs friends welcoming me into the group. Thanks for making my stay in Bari so memorable.

I surfed with Simone in mid-August, not a normal time in Bari as he informed me, since all the locals had gone on holiday. Still Simone showed me around the place and gave me plenty of tips on places to go and check out as well as local foods to try :D. Had a great time, thank you mate.

Simone and his friends are very very nice are three man with the spirit of a 25 years old! When you want come here: it has been a pleasure know and host all you!!!!!!

Simone is the coolest, really!
He hosted me and my 2 friends in Bari, and that was our first CouchSurfing experience. He made us fall in love with couchsurfing...
He told us the places we should go and what we should eat. We sang a lot of Brazilian songs and he even danced a little of samba for us. Also great the "high society party" we went to! thank you very much :)
Now it's your turn to surf in Sao Paulo, Brasil!

Simone did a good job trying to give me some feeling for the salsa-rythm ;)

After hundreds of emails, phone calls , sms, we finally managed to meet in our beautiful hometown! A real Cs Spirit, the one who make it real a Cs-community in Bari! Cs Bari??? Simone!

You know those people you meet that you appreciate within moment of meeting them? Simone is one of those people. He can keep a conversation going, can keep a room laughing, he exudes charm and whit, and is just an overall sincerely genuine person. We only got to hang out for a few days, but he felt like an older brother, and when it came time to say goodbye a million hugs and handshakes werent enough to exchange appreciation. I say I "know him well", but not in the sense that i know his middle name and birthday. He just has a core that is easy to distinguish as secure and hospitable. Great person, and you would be lucky to met him.

One instantly can tell that Simone has a larger-than-life personality: He's a whole lot of sweet and a whole lot of spice. I'd love to spend more than a few hours in his company; I'm already thinking about my next trip to Bari.

Simone, thank you for a wonderful stay!

I wish I'd had more time in Bari because it would have been wonderful to get to know Simone a little better. He was such a gracious host, showed us around the city and made sure that we tried some typical Barese foods during our much-too-short stay. I was in Bari alone for 2 days at his couch.
I was there in weekdays, so he had to work, and I was kind of problematic anyway, but he was very helpful, flexible.
He's a nice, talkative, open-minded person, with a lot of experiences, for example about travelling and live concerts.:)

I met Simone at a CS Greek lunch thrown by my girlfriend. Afterwards we have met at another meeting. Simone is a very witty guy, always ready for jokes and fun. What a blast with him!

Simone was the first person I ever hosted. It was a really good experience! We walked through the center of Amsterdam the first day and I showed him around. He told me what things are like in other country's.
He took me to the weekly meeting in Amsterdam, where we met two other girls that I hosted too the next night. Because of him I now know the importance of those meetings.

He is he Italian version of Ricardo Arjona (and not for his singing skills).. This guy is amazing, old but so young at the same time :D.. Very friendly, ready to party all the time, easy to get along with, carefull, good friend!!!.. he was worried when i was sick at the beach, he even named my sickness (Emersonitis) so he is funny as well. He is the perfect guest so don't hesitate to say YES if he asks you for couch.. 100000000% reliable..

Simone took me and friend from airport and the first eve we had a delicious panzerotto for dinner(and he laughed about how I ate it!:)) and we went to see a very nice live concert. Simone is so funny and he has almost NO memory so be sure you have a trick to make him remember your name for more than couple of minutes :D :D And CS world is really small - we even found out that we have a common "just a friend" ( I rememmber how amused you were when saying that :D) Take care Simone, and we'll meet someday again!

Simone is a very likeable guy I met him in bari through Maristella in their beautiful city where is always summer. simo is a good boy and simple and always smiling. The destiny decided to connect us in the nice city of Italy - Bari:) Later we met on CS/HC meeting, which was organized by him (it was really nice party with around 50 ppl & Simone had a power to take care all of us!).

I was only in Bari for just over 24hrs, but it felt like days thanks to Simone's vibrancy and generousity, and his great friends. We went to a huge CSing meeting he had organised, ate delicious food I still dream about, met his mum, went to a gorgeous beach town and he even dropped me to the ferry building. He e mailed me six months ago...when I decided to travel all around this beautiful world and I told him that I would arrive in Europe, I thought that he would die if I didn't go to visit him...I WENT...I spent three awesome days with him...He introduced me to the mafia,drugs, guns and his mum, in fact: the real italian culture...
To be honest and not too silly, this guy is nice and tolerant,to conclude: a very beautiful meeting during my trip.

It was nice to have Simone as a local guide. He is a nice and charismatic person, always trying to talk with everyone, no matter in which language. Hey, Simone, you are already doing a good job in your portuguese, just need to go there again to practice a little more! :) And I am sure you will be welcome there or where ever you are going! :)

Now I know, thanks to this guy who organized the first HC/CS meeting in Bari, and since then many other moments of great fun!! Simone is an asset to the CS community. He is so much fun to be around, but you can also have serious conversations with him. He is charming, intelligent, polite, and sweet. You couldn't find a better host. I was sad to leave.

Simone is really quite a shy person and if you are able to spend a couple of weeks with him you might be able to get to know him..... hahaha lies! I think it took about 1 min and 35 seconds before I felt like I was one of Simone's long lost friends. Im most greatful to Simone for his ability to make people feel so at ease, it means so much when you're travelling for 8months and moving around all the time to feel like you really have a friend and not just someone you met for a couple of days. Simone has a real passion for people and every one of his friends are the most generous and kind hearted people you'll meet. I had an amazing time in Bari so much so that I spent 2 nights and then crossed oceans to come back and see Simone two weeks later :) I had so many good nights with him, so much good food (i think he contributed to 5 extra kilos on my body) and too much laughing. Im sure he'll force me to be back in Bari soon :) much love x

Simone was an absolutely fabulous host! He showed us the perfect Itlaian time, complete with a birthday party and pizza night with his friends. Simone is such a generous person who ensured I had the best possible time. Simone does however need some more intense Australian training, complete with vegemite tasting!! Simone was great!! It was a shame we didnt have more time to spend with him, and we were sorry that we had so many things going on at the same time he was here! Simone was a very easy-going, friendly and funny guy :) We had some fun times, definately!

It wasnt a good idea to trust this person.

It was a really bad mistake to host him. He didnt respect me as he should have.

I think his behaviour is not approriate for an ambassador. I think he hasnt understood the idea of Couchsurfing.

You're SUCH a nice guy - and a very good ambassador for CS and Italy! :D

I picked up Simone from the airport in Bergamo the night before his trip to Finland. Although we did not get to spend much time together, I hope he appreciated the midnight piadina and the flash lift to the airport in the morning, without even getting him a coffee...!

Simone is a nice guy and a professional cs host. We had a lovely aperitivo by the sea and got to meet some of his charming friends. Unfortunaltely we had to leave early the next day to carry on travelling. Hope the car is working again ;)

 

My Italian godfather!!! We were writing for ages and I totally fell for his sense of humour... But he tried to make me believe that he’s this shy!!! I didn’t believe it then, and after spending a week with him... I still don’t!!! :D Instead he has a really strong character, he’s stubborn and straight forward and he seems to enjoy driving me crazy... He can also be the biggest gentleman, but only if he want’s to be, haha! And for some STRANGE reason he seems to think that men are better drivers than women... ;)

But he has a huge heart and a skill to make everyone around him fall in love with him... Even my grandfather, who didn’t understand anything he said. :) What can I say... He’s just wonderful.

Hey Simone! My dear friend who offered me his couch when I was still in Brazil! My couch was booked 1 year in advance!!! hehehe... It was so nice!!! Simone gave me a lot of tips about what to do and where to go when I was in Bari! He was so patient, friendly, sweet, a real good friend to me! Thank yoooooou Simone! Come back to Brasil another time! I can show you around too! And I plan to go back to my sweet Italy!

well i know you don't need a reference but i just wanted to thank you for everything, you thought me a lot about CS and i feel glad i got the opportunity to host you i mean an ambassador.. wow .. my first flag in my profile :) i am happy you finally know what's a Tomino! i had a lot of fun this week-end and that's why i hope to see you soon!! hopefully i will tell you about more CS experience too or else you will have to take me with you around ;)

After emailing for many months the fact that we were actually going to meet was so exciting! Simone was very prepared for our arrival with food, CS plans, beach, touring and a warm generous spirit. He has a love of people it was my pleasure to finally meet you! Thank you for your hospitality.

Don simone was a very lovely guy, lots of fun. We had dinner with him and some other couchsurfers at his house. I have no doubt that he makes a fantastic host.

Simone organized a CS meeting on one of the beautiful beaches of Salento. It was awesome: nice atmosphere, good sea food (mmmm) but especially great company. I really loved that cosy day. Hope to see you again someday!

Ah .... Simone the host with the MOST! Simone is one of the most gracious, warm-hearted hosts that I was blessed to have stayed with during my trip in Italia. I had a perpetual smile on my face because I was always laughing when he was around. He made sure ANGela and I ate the best food while we were in Puglia -- SO much food and was constantly hearing "Patrizia, dai, dai .... mangia!" The weekend at the beach was fabulous and I couldn't have experienced the sights, the food and the southern Italian hospitality if it weren't for this wonderful man and his lovely friends.

If he allows me (I promise to bring you a new set of sheets), I want to come back next summer to see more of Puglia, and create more memories with you and your friends.

I know Los Angeles is so far down the list on your "to do" list, but when and IF you decide to visit, my door will always be open for you.

Simone, what can I say about him.. Bari would just not have been the same without him..I was in Bari with my friend and we were guests in the house of Simone. It was my first experience in CS. Simone is the best!!! We spent about one week in his house. For me he is a very particular person, open minded, funny, good-talking and curious. He was trying to improve my perfect Italian with his Bari’s dialect…it was funny)) and I was teaching him Russian, so now I am a proud teacher of a great student. We cooked him some Russian meal and he eat all,..even if it was not so tasty : D, so it means that he is a very polite person.
You can’t be in better hands.

Simone was a very gracious host, making me feel right at home, introducing me to lots of fun and interesting people, and showing me the "sights" of Bari! If you ever go along that area, it would be a shame not to meet him!

Don Simone is one of the best people I know. We met in Praia, in Martinas couch and then he host me in Bari after that. He make me happy for the next days, he has the most confortable couch in Italy (I slept like a baby), he gave me really good tips, we have a really good time together.
I enjoyed everything, even that he made fun of me and my strange way of eating -ice cream for breakfast for example- :)

Simone hosted me for 2 days in Bari...He was nice gaving me suggestions of what to see around Bari. I enjoyed a lot the lunch and the afternoon with her mother!!!:) One evening, he tried to make a move on me, wich made me feel a bit awkward, even if he apologized to me after. Overall, I had an enjoyable stay and Simone was welcoming and informative.

 

That was my first experience ever to stay in someones couch and I must say it was great. Simone is a very experienced host:-) He picked me from the airport and took me to the fiesta:) I also met his friends which was cool. In general I had fantastic time in Puglia. If someone is thinking about visiting Bari (and Valenzano) - I will definitely recommend Simone's couch. Grazie mille Simone :-D

We stayed with the same host and roamed Dublin together some days. Very fun guy and easy going.

Simone was a really really great host!!! I have heard that Italians are crazy drivers, and simone really lives up to that saying!He is a really interesting character and I had a super good time in Bari with him, he took us out a lot and let us try out so much italian food. I really enjoyed my stay in Italy with him and I will definalty come back someday, but I will learn better Italian. :P

unfortunatly it was only one evening that we spent together! it was so nice and really funny... but i'm thinking of going back to puglia for another week, cause it's a very beautiful region! so, see u! ;)

Simone is a great lad, and it was my pleasure to host him. I was lucky to host Don Simone, the Godfather of Couchsurfing, for two nights (actually I wasn't lucky because it was much too short! ;-)). The thing I first noticed and loved about him is that he's 100% authentic and himself. There have been written so many amazing things about Simone that I'll try to keep this short. It was wonderfull to have him stay at my place and the only drawback of hosting him is that you'll miss him so much when he leaves!

What:HC/CS festa in Bari,where: meeting on the train station,things i like about S: his crazy driving,taking photos with him, juice and cookies in the morning, his support about our hitchhiking, a.gre&m.biondi in the car,..baci!

 

Simone is simply amazing. If more people in the world were like him, this world would be filled with joy. He is funny and knows profound life wisdom, he knows what he wants and knows how to relax.. chill.. he is incredibly helpful and caring and cool too. Most certainly recommend his sofa!!

 

I wish I could have hung out more with Simone. He is a good soul and even though he had been smothered with surfers, he went out of his way to show me hospitality, kindness, and respect. Plus, he introduced me to the best Pianina (sp?) I have ever had! His bartering skills are superb as well, especially with taxis :-) Come to San Francisco my friend!

Simone was an amazing host. He took us out and let us experience amazing Southern Italian cousine, showed us some beautiful sights, and made us feel very welcome in his house. His crazy driving antics paid off when I though we would miss our ferry, but Simone, calm as ever, assured me we would be fine! Of course he was right!
We had a blast with him and I highly recommend surfing with him!

He is My/our ambassador, here in Bari group, I think he is perfect playing that role, a good friend, lovely person, and a tireless speaker. "In God we trust" told someone, I trust in him :)

Simone Simone.....Before he came to the hostel I was staying in we talked a few times on the phone....He promised me to bring the best mozzarella in the world:D:D:D We were hoping with Martina that this sweet guy is hot as well... But our dreams fell when we saw this ugly creature:D:D:D yes he brought mozzarella but when he saw Martina's mum he just gave it to her:p....After was annoying me all the time even if he knew that I was nervous;)In the end got mad at me because I didn't want to drink water from a swimming pool:P:P:P I was very happy that he left...but...2 week s later Martina told me that he is coming back..OH NOOOOOOO!!!!!And it was my end:D:D:D I completely fell for this guy!!! As crazy as me, likes Ukrainian music, makes up his own samba type dance and pretends it's salsa:D:D:D sings for parking guys, drinks cold coffee very easy to make:D and what is th most important... He invited me to Bari what is an honor:) Lov ya man!!!!!!

We kept running into eachother in London and it was good times always. Me and my friends taught him two English words that I hope he has forgotten by now. Our favorite past time is waiting in lines for bars but then not entering.

Simone is very very warm-hearted person always ready to help you. Funny, inteligent, world-wise. You hear from him just right words in due time. I think if I had an older brother I'd like him to be like Simone :D :D :D I'm looking forward to go to Italy!!! Baci xxx

I first met Simone in Pescosolido (Rome Summer Camp) but we didn't really spent time together. But during Easter we met in London in the Polish Easter Party!!!
He's a really friendly person, we spent all the day together eating, sightseeing, partying(partly). It was a great time together with this nice person...and I really hope to meet Simone soon, maybe this time in our Italy.

I stayed at his place only for 1 day but it seemed much longer. Actually, it was difficult to leave. He is a guy with a short memory but a very big heart. I had a short but extreamly good time in Bari:)) Visiting an Italian school, Vine tasting, exploring the city by night, Barry White, view from the terrace...all of these are just a good reason to return. If I could choose I would choose Simone as my brother. I trust Simone completely and he is really one of my best friends. He knows many things about me that i have never told to anybody else:) Simone was my guest In Kiev and then I was in Bari at his place. Now we are in touch almost every day and I really hope that we will meet soon again. Simone hosted me and Danilo at his place, showed us the city and gave us a lot of tips on where to go and to do. We also had a nice bari-neapolitan dinner, eating spaghetti with cime di rapa (turnip tops) and drinking limoncello :).

Being hosted by Simone has been a really comfortable experience. There's no need to list his qualities. He is a nice person, and it doesn't take long after you meet him to realize how kind he is... and something i really appreciated is his straightforwardness and his constant and true smile. I'm sure that people that have the chance to live around him can enjoy his sincerity and his friendship. Moreover, he is the hub of Bari. I'm sure that he knows more than half of the population of the city, and with him everyone becomes your friend too. Last but not least, he puts a lot of passion into music. it's very inspiring talking with him about music. I'm sure he doesn't like music because of complex musical theories... but because music can express deep feelings, emotions and make you feel proud of being alive.

Simone is a perfect uncle everyone would like to have! He is nice, intelligent, youth and a bit crazy.
We spent two wonderful nights in L'Aquila speaking about travel and own experience.

We met for a small meeting with other 2 CSmembers in L'Aquila. He had a stage the day after, but we forced him to drink montepulciano and chatting till late.

 

Simone is such a cool guy! I didn't know him at all when we met up at the CS meeting at Oktoberfest, but he was so nice when we first met and he introduced us to more couch surfers. He loves meeting new people, you can tell just by talking to him for 5 minutes, haha. Thanks so much for inviting us!

It was my lucky day when Simone agreed to host me. Simone is a wonderful host. He’ll suggest places to visit that you would not have thought of. Because of his suggestions, I ended up staying in Puglia for a much longer time but still way too of a short time. As for Simone himself, you’ll never have a dull moment with him. He’s a totally awesome guy. You see, he has already conquered the world by just being his charming self. He’s got the world’s female population at his feet and he's best buddies with the guys. He’s just a great guy. Did I mention that I love his name!!!

Simone and Danilo has spent last week end of Oktoberfest with me. Simone is very funny, easygoing and REAL ITALIAN MAN!-;) He promised me to bring the good weather to Munich, but he forgot:) In spite of that it was the best italian oktoberfest I've ever had! May be I will visit Bari somedays, where he is the BOSS! :)

 

Simone visited New York City for 3 weeks! What can I say. He is so wonderful. A spirit that is honest and beautiful. Funny and interesting. Nurturing and generous. We had adventures I will never forget. The only regret is not seeing him try to keep up with the samba queen (myself ;)Next time! Thanks for the beautiful time. And the fantastic pictures. Ok now for the truth: He is like an electric heater in the winter time. His hug is like a bone crushing Turkish massage owwwwch...and he will drink your water, orange juice, and chocolate fudge cookies. haha

Simone likes to dance and it was nice to dance with him. He has an infecting laugh and you get carried away by it.
I enjoyed the time we spent together and i am looking forward to meet him again.

Simone is ALWAYS down to have a good time! He was a wonderful couch guest and I really enjoyed his company here!! Anyone looking to hang with someone who's down to try new things should definately get in contact with him! Next step? Take Italy by storm... :)

 

we tried beer-pong together and almost won 3 times, but it was our first time to play the game and for sure we gonna try to bring it to europe as a homage to our great great great host Marie who just spontanuosly took us home without any doubt. the pillow-fight and italian soccer game was fun too! ALLEZ LES BLEUS!! (sorry ;-) )

 

We met in Italy in Praja,spent with some other travellers a nice time together...then he came to Oktoberfest to my place!It was great..we`re the perfect team,hahaha....coming to visit him soon!

We met in CS camp near Rome. He is really positive and kind. He even taught me Samba though I was hopeless. We had a great time in camp. If I have a chance to host him, I wont hesitate at all. He is a really beautiful person who has great sense of humer.

He is very funny and easy going, it was very cool surf his couch, we met many of his friends and nice near places, i hope to see you again.

i am in love!!! i am soooooooooooo in love! :) We met through Hc, he came and stayed a couple of weekends at my place, and lucky that I was too busy to spend more time with him OTHERWISE I WOULD BE EVEN MOOOOOOOOORE IN LOVE!
