We are a group of young people that decided to move out in the world to encourage and motivate its people, spreading awareness that together we are able to progress to something more inspirational and sincere than the trends towards social isolation, passive consuming culture, lack of prospects, and unneccessary hierarchies in learning and working life.
We prepared some content (scroll down!), but in the end it's your ideas which make the tour what it should be

Teach, Learn, Share
SKILLSHARING - CAUSE KNOWLEDGE IS POWER!
the most important thing for us while we are travelling is learning and teaching ... the skillsurfers project is mostly a skillsharing tour inspired by the ideas of the travelling school of life.
That means that we want to exchange our knowledge and ideas with you, wanna teach you about what we know, learn from you and carry the seeds of inspiration you are giving us with us
to let your ideas grow in other places... :-)

Opinion on the CouchSurfing.org Project
We think that couchsurfing as well as other hospitalitynetworks (e.g. hospitalityclub.org, bewelcome.org) are very important and about the best outcome of globalisation - but we should not get lazy and be satisfied with this, but develop on these ideas of freedom and solidarity until they cover every aspect of daily life.
We cannot only help each other with places to sleep and "travelparty support", but we can share everything and really create a better world. The web 2.0. can be a chance to reach freedom and equality by networking projects and people and saving ressources...
We want contribute to building up skillsharing, landsharing, ressourcesharing, ... networks
Also we think it's important to talk about data security, about how to make internet projects like this more transparent and how to decrease hierarchies in the structures.
Also we want to think about how web 2.0 can have an impact on political issues and give back power to the people...
This summary is not a replacement for reading references; it's a quick summary to help you get started. At a glance, you can see how many references a member has, and how many of them are positive, neutral, and negative.
In the second line, you'll see how many references came from people who hosted this member, surfed with them, and traveled with them. These numbers won't always add up to the total: some references are not categorized, and some may be categorized as more than one thing.
When viewing this summary, don't jump to conclusions! Things that are negative for one person may be positive for another, and vice versa. It's important to read references carefully and evaluate what that information means to you.
it is great here... very friendly, open people who live here. we have advice on where to go to see alternative berlin and we are planning to do some great stuff together :) very helpful! glad to meet people like this.
The skillsurfers are working with grgeat social and ecologic projects. funny people, with a lot of energy and good ideas of how to change the world- and they even do something for it. Not this kind of hippies which sit and smoke all day and talking philosophie of how everything should be...
Anja and Sam arrived in their big "bus" smiling and tolerant....a few days later they came back and we spent days talking, thinking and they worked hard. They reinforced a lot of "other ways" of life that I've thought about and they are an inspiration....making people think and analyze in a very gentle and indirect way...they are strong, good people and i hope that portugal and munich and berlin can enjoy you two and you will enjoy the new and old places even more!
A very fortunate find, they showed me a different way of travelling and was a wonderful learning curve for me.

Positive
I connected to some of the people of the little Traveling School of Life Tribe back in spring 2006, in Zajezova, and since then developed friendships with some of the people involved, and stayed in touch through the internet with the developments of the project. A hitch hiking burnout ( after 5 years of ungoing hh'ing ) lead me to not join the tour.
